    Advertising is a tricky territory. There are good ads and there are bad ads, and then there are ads that have no business being made. This particular ad is one such abomination, that is precisely the kind of creation that makes people wonder out loud: "What were they smoking?!"
    Before we get into the analysis bit, let's take a look at this ad from 2008 that features Sanjay Dutt.Β (Not that analyzing it would be required, just taking a look at it once will fill you up with rage.)

    He starts off with an appeal to unite against a 'new dushman' in our lives, and then dives headfirst into a rant right after, that can surely contest, and also come out as the uncontested winner, in the history of stupid rants.Β

    We don't want to transcribe this horrendous script, but surely do want to analyse a few points - and leave something to ponder upon, for the makers AND for Sanjay Dutt himself. Yes, we know he's 'just the talent' and all that, but he must have willingly signed the project? And since he managed such a 'heartfelt' narration, is there way in hell he was not on board with the message being conveyed?Β

    He says the problem these days is men keeping long hair, waxed legs, and shaved chests. Umm, did irony just get run over by a truck here? For someone who has sported ALL of these things in 80% of his movies, this is tough talk. Also, if we take the high road and move away from 'getting personal' (not that they extended the courtesy to the male population of the entire country), what the hell is wrong with long hair and waxed legs and shaved chests?Β

    The gentleman then moves on to attack men 'who spend more time in beauty parlours rather than in gyms where they belong' and are interested in activities such as cooking and taking care of babies. Seriously? Cooking and taking care of your own child makes someone 'unmanly'? How UTTERLY insecure and an absolute bigot does one have to be to endorse such views?Β

    He then goes on to vilify men who use cosmetics and calls them, (wait for it): BEHENJIS. Now we don't know where to start and what all is wrong with the above: the fact that he's insulting men for just being themselves, or women by using 'behenji' as a slur.

    And then, get this, he goes on to say that bright colours like pink, purple, and mauve are feminine. "tHeY aRe nOt mAnLy, tHeY aRe gIrLy!" - he says. Really? All the purple shirts he wore as a 'macho AF' hero in films with questionable scripts from the '80s and '90s have taken offence. Also, didn't he wear a flaming orange shirt for almost 80% of his screen time in Munnabhai MBBS?

    He even has a problem with men cooking Thai food and dancing Salsa. Apparently Bhangra is manlier than Salsa.

    He even manages to assign a sexist narrative to dog breeds. Men should always keep Bulldogs and Labradors as pets, instead of Pomeranians and Poodles - he says with utmost confidence.

    Finally, as we come *this* close to tearing our own hair out while trying to decipher the point of this drivel, he gives one final warning against pink cocktails and 'sissy' beers, before coming to the point and endorsing that particular beverage. Oof!

    On a serious note, this utterly pointless pressure on men to stick to certain things because they are 'manly' makes no sense whatsoever, and has pushed many innocent children and young men to drive themselves to suicide or lasting mental trauma. We're thankful that slowly we're learning how to do better, but we must remember that there was a time not so long ago, when it was okay to talk like this in broad daylight, with pride. Let us all hope that the worst is behind us, and move ahead with the learnings from our blunders.

    There are tons of videos on the internet, challenging you to hold your laughter but we know how difficult of a task that is and where we all end up by the time the video ends.Β 
    Most of us don’t even last the first half of the video and cave in rather easily, while a few samurais among us, somehow, manage to go all the way and complete the challenge but such people are few and far between and a rare commodity.Β 
    Australian cricketer Usman KhawajaΒ definitely fell in the second category, at least, this is what people thought till a few days back.Β 
    Khawaja’s interaction with former Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal went viral on social media and fans were surprised how he kept his composure and didn’t break loose, despite hearing him say stuff like β€˜science is the man’, among other things.

    Ajmal’s spirited reply came after he was asked about the β€˜doosra’ -- an unconventional delivery bowled by an off-spinner, which instead of coming back into a right-hander goes away after pitching.Β 
    β€œI can bowl, I ready the guys like within a month any youngster can bowl doosra within 15 degrees but ICC ban straight away said nobody can bowl, science said, why science fuckin man, what da scance, science is the man,” Ajmal can be heard saying in the video.Β 
    If you still can’t guess what we are talking about, you probably belong to a different age because the video was such a big hit on social media.Β

    Apart from this video, the other thing for which Khawaja made headlines was his powerful century during a Pakistan Super LeagueΒ match.Β Β 

    Captaining the Islamabad United side in the absence of their regular skipper, Khwaja led by example and blasted 105 off just 56 balls as his side posted 247 for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs.Β Β 
    Chasing a mammoth total, Peshawar Zalmi also came all guns blazing and almost got over the line eventually falling short by just 15 runs.

    Just days after Kanta Prasad, the owner of Delhi's famous roadside eatery β€˜Baba Ka Dhaba’, had apologized to Youtube blogger, it has now been revealed that the 81-year-old has now been admitted to Safdarjung hospital after attempting to commit suicide.

    According to Kanta's son Karan, his father had taken sleeping pills with alcohol.

    "On Thursday at 11.15 pm, information was received from the Safdarjung Hospital that Prasad was admitted there. Police reached the hospital and collected MLC (medico-legal case) which mentions the intake of alcohol and sleeping pills as the cause of unconsciousness," said Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Kumar Thakur while speaking to PTI.
    Kanta's wife Badami Devi, while speaking to reporters said that he fell unconscious at the shop.
    "I don't know what he ate, what he drank. They took him to the hospital after he fell unconscious. Doctors have not told us anything. I don't know what he was thinking," said his wife.
    According to the police, his wife had mentioned that Kanta had been depressed for the last few days.

    Kanta Prasad shot to fame last year after a viral video of the elderly couple's tiny roadside kiosk in Malviya Nagar showed a lack of customers.

    The video of his plight was shot and shared by YouTube blogger Gaurav Wasan, following which the entire social media united to help the elderly couple with donations and with clientele.

    However, things took a turn when Kanta filed a police case against Gaurav for allegedly swindling the donations, a move for which he just recently apologized.

    It is revealed that Kanta was forced to close a restaurant that he had opened up in December of last year after suffering huge losses.
    According to reports, this is said to be one of the reasons behind Kanta's struggles of late.Β

    Justin Halpern, the co-creator & executive producer for theΒ Harley QuinnΒ animated series for DC, recently spoke about the creative liberties that writers have when it comes to villains, as opposed to heroes.

    He revealed that in the upcoming animated series of Harley Quinn, the writers wanted to include a scene where Batman would eat out Catwoman.

    This, Halpern said, was to keep up with the grown-up audience of the show, and give them something to keep them engaged.Β

    However, DC executives dropped the axe on this idea. The reason? Well, apparently, β€˜Heroes don’t do that.’

    Halpern said he countered by asking are superheroes supposed to be selfish lovers, to which, he was told that they have merchandise to sell, and it would be rather difficult to do so, about a hero who engages in ***.

    If you come to think of it, this is a rather ridiculous line of thought. It’s Batman we’re speaking of, his merchandise has always sold like hotcakes, especially when there’s a new movie or a new series around.

    Secondly, doesn’t Bruce Wayne anyway have an image of being a philandering ladies man, both in the comics, and the movies?Β 

    Also, we have to ask, have they seen Deadpool?

    Seeing DC having issues with Batman, one of its most iconic characters, engaging in consensual sexual activity, with Catwoman, a character that’s basically has been thought of as the β€œlove interest” of Batman since the very beginning, is rather ridiculous, and we aren’t the only ones saying it.
