If you wanted to become an elite cricketer in a country like India, well, despite all the competition and the skill needed for the game, you'd still pretty well have a very good chance of making it to the top.

India has a tarnished history of keeping cricket at the pedestal while ignoring other sports altogether. This is reflected in the treatment of sportsmen who aren't cricketers, and well, the list of those is quite long.
We'll take one example though, the example of Rohtak district's Sunita, who won a gold medal for her country in the World Championship.
