After Cristiano Ronaldo pulled the Coco-Cola stunt, he became a part of a massive meme fest on Twitter.
On Wednesday, Portugal won against Hungary at the Euro 2020 cup. But aside from that, the topic of conversation was the two bottles of Coco-Cola that Ronaldo kept aside during the conference, despite the brand being a sponsor for the event. Instead, he raised a bottle of water and said 'Drink water.'

Recently though, Cristiano was also criticised for promoting Coco-Cola in one of his previous ads.
The old video resurfaced on the internet and left everyone stunned. Cristiano was seen promoting Coco-Cola and was also a part of a KFC ad, which is in opposition to the notoriously strict diet plan that he follows.
But as they say, the show must go on, and Indian fans came forward and turned this whole scenario into a rib-tickling meme.
#Ronaldo removes #CocaCola from Press Conference table and showed up #Aqua (water bottle).

— Troll Football (@TrollFootball) June 15, 2021 While several memes were hilarious, the one that was trending the most amongst Indians was the comparison between Amrita Rao's 'Jal Lijiye' moment from Vivaah and Cristiano Ronaldo's 'Drink water' dialogue.
Amrita's 'Jal Lijiye' suddenly upsurged on the internet and people couldn't stop showing off their creative side.

Soon, Amrita herself took to Instagram and Twitter to show the comparison between the two events. Take a look.
She is getting really good at taking jokes and memes in her stride!
She wrote on the post "And the #Jallijiyememes continue with a new twist"
Wat'er Are U Saying !!! 🥤 https://t.co/DAs984Ayj2
— AMRITA RAO 🇮🇳 (@AmritaRao) June 16, 2021A page on Twitter also mentioned how the 'Jal Lijiye' meme has now gone international.
Amrita in a clever pun responded to the meme and wrote, "Wat'er Are U Saying !!!" with emojis.

— AMRITA RAO 🇮🇳 (@AmritaRao) May 30, 2021
This isn't the first time Amrita has participated in her own 'Jal Lijiye jokes'. In fact, she herself posted a new version of the scene on Twitter and everyone had a good laugh at it.
The video showed Amrita enacting the scene and ends it by throwing a bucket of water on the camera. This video too garnered a lot of views.
The entire event has now become a talk of the internet again and we couldn't be happier to see it go overseas. Haha.
Here are some reactions of people on Twitter.

One of the latest dynamic couples from the cricketing world, Jasprit Bumrah and wife Sanjana Ganesan found themselves in an oddly pleasant situation ahead of the World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand for an ICC interview.
Ganesan, who is a television presenter and holds interviews, mostly in the realm of international cricket, got to ask some nostalgic questions to her husband, who will be leading the Indian bowling attack against the Blackcaps from Friday, 18th June.

However, before the interview could start, Bumrah could be seen finding his way to the set, and just after making it to the room with the lights and camera, the first person he spotted was obviously his wife, Sanjana.
“Oh! Where have I seen you before?” Bumrah asked cheekily with a smile on his face as the two greeted each other and got the cricketer settled for the Q&A session on camera.
Throughout the interview, it was interesting to see Bumrah let his guard down and be a lot more casual and comfortable than he usually is, simply because of having such a familiar face on the other side of the table.
Fans couldn’t help but notice how innocent and honest the 27-year-old looked throughout his time on camera:
Bumrah is just too honest.

— Shrutika Gaekwad (@Shrutika_45_) June 17, 2021In a segment they called “Insta-memories”, the pacer was expected to describe the moment in which a particular picture was taken which he had shared from his social media handles.
"This picture was taken after the 4th Test. I didn't play that Test. We win that Test. Our third-stringed side was playing and we were a little skeptical about what was going to happen. But there was a lot of belief. All the youngsters stepped up. It's a memorable Test, lot of happy days. We won the series in Australia, back-to-back, this was our second win," he said while describing the photo in which he could be seen holding the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which his squad had earned after an epic contest against the Australians on foreign soil earlier this year.

One of the photographs selected was also from Bumrah's marriage. "Who is there in this picture? I have seen this person before," he said as the interviewer drew a big smile, albeit inside her mask. "It's the best day of my life, it happened recently. As you are aware of the memories, it was the happiest day of my life," Bumrah added.

The world lost a footballing god back in November of 2020 with Argentina's El Barrilete Cosmico or the Cosmic Kite, Diego Maradona, breathing his last after suffering a heart attack.
© Reuters
Maradona, who had just turned 60 less than a month back on October 30, had undergone brain surgery for a blood clot just weeks before his death.
However, following his death, a board of experts looking into Maradona's death, found that the footballing great had received inadequate care and had been abandoned to his fate for a "prolonged, agonizing period".

Soon after, an investigation was launched and seven people are currently being questioned for manslaughter with Maradona's nurse Dahiana Gisela Madrid also being one of them.
However, according to Madrid's lawyer, Rodolfo Baque, Maradona was killed by his own doctors through negligence.
"They killed Diego," said Baque, while speaking to reporters on Wednesday (June 16).
The attorney explained how while Maradona was being treated for the heart problem, he had been on psychiatric medication that sped up his heart rate.
© Reuters
"Also, Maradona fell while in the hospital, and when Madrid asked to have a CAT scan done on him, an aide to Maradona refused, arguing that if the press found out it would look bad," said Baque.
The attorney, who was speaking after the over eight-hour-long interrogation of Madrid, said the doctors ignored the daunting signs of Maradona's potential death.
© Reuters
"In the end, there were many warning signs that Maradona was going to die, give or take a day. And none of the doctors did anything to prevent it," said Baque.
Madrid, the 36-year-old daytime nurse of the footballing great was one of the last people to see him alive.
The former Barcelona, Napoli, and Boca Juniors superstar had been suffering from liver, kidney, and cardiovascular disorders when he died.
Last month, a panel of 20 medical experts who were convened by Argentina's public prosecutor, had said that Maradona's treatment had been filled with "deficiencies and irregularities" and his medical team had left his survival "to fate."

The preparations for the World Test Championship final have entered the final stage, with both teams brainstorming over their playing XI for the encounter. A lot will depend on the kind of pitch they get in Southampton and if we go by the statements of Simon Lee, the chief curator at the Ageas Bowl, the pitch will be full of pace and bounce.
While England is traditionally known for its ‘pace-friendly’ tracks which suit the quicks, things have certainly changed in the last few years, with global warming playing a major role in earth’s rising surface temperature that too at a very rapid pace.

— ICC (@ICC) June 17, 2021
Having been associated with the game for such a long time, there can’t be a better person with enough understanding of the game to analyse how the pitch might behave and when someone like Sunil Gavaskar says something, we are bound to listen.
© Reuters
As per Gavaskar, the pitch will dry out as the game progresses and will favour the spinners, hence he wants Team India to include both their leading spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI.

“In Southampton, it’s been boiling hot over the last few days so the pitch will definitely be dry and help spin as the match progresses, so yes both Ashwin and Jadeja will play," Gavaskar told.
Gavaskar further explained that having both Ashwin and Jadeja in the starting XI also serves an additional purpose -- strengthening India’s batting line-up.
“That (Ashwin and Jadeja together) also gives depth to the batting as well as give a fine balance to the bowling attack. For the series later (vs England) much will depend on the weather and pitch conditions,” Gavaskar added.

India and New Zealand both have announced their 15-member squad for the summit clash and there are high chances that India could take Gavaskar’s suggestions and include both Ashwin and Jadeja in the starting line-up.

New Zealand, on the other hand, will be boosted by the return of their skipper Kane Williamson, who has fully recovered after missing the last Test against England due to an injury.
With both sides boasting world-class pace bowling attacks, the quality of spinners could very well determine the outcome of the game and we all know one aspect where India have the upper-hand over the Kiwis is their spin-bowling.

When it comes to being a cult-favourite athlete within the Indian cricket team, there is a no bigger name than Shardul Thakur. There are instances and stories in which the bowling all-rounder has been referred to as “Lord” and while it started out as a trolling method, the label ended up sticking with him when he showed his true potential during the Test series in Australia earlier this year.
With less than one day to go for the World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand, Thakur went on Twitter to have a fun and interesting engagement session with his fans and asked them to ‘find him’ in an old, throwback image.
Find me #majorthrowback #nostalgia pic.twitter.com/ze2uqBZzY6
— Shardul Thakur (@imShard) June 16, 2021
In the picture, a group of kids, probably in their early teens or even younger, could be seen with make-up, fake moustaches, and traditional Indian clothes which suggests that was taken before the students were going to take part in a play.
However, the challenge to find the Palghar-born seems a lot difficult than it looks and his fans have been stretching their heads, while guessing as if shooting in the dark:

— Monalisa 🇮🇳 (@Doc_Mona7) June 16, 2021On the cricketing front, Thakur fans may be left disappointed as the all-rounder was left outside of the 15-man squad which was selected ahead of the biggest one-off Test match in the history of international cricket.
The squad being led by head coach Ravi Shastri and skipper Virat Kohli had five spots for pacers which were filled by Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and finally Umesh Yadav, who was in contention with Thakur for the final spot.

The team will also be working with just two spinners, namely Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who have not only proven their prowess with the ball but can also carry a team in the hour of need as batsmen as well. Washington Sundar and Axar Patel, who had themselves some remarkable series against Australia and England, respectively, will be sitting as reserves.
India and New Zealand will compete in the one-off, WTC final red-ball match between 18-22 June at the Ageas Bowl cricket stadium in Southampton, England.

Sometimes, it seems fascinating to realize how we, a human civilization, have evolved from the days of early men to now exploring space in rockets or devising humanoid robots.

Now, despite the evolution and creation of newer technology every day, one thing that continues to intrigue us is the possibility of intelligent life elsewhere, or to keep it short, the presence of aliens.
© iStock
The unexplainable sightings of strange UFOs across the world with the recent one being spotted in the leaked US Navy video have gone on to suggest that there is a high chance that the third kind really does exist and might have even made contact with Earth.
However, while we look at the possibility of there being an official confirmation on the presence of aliens, an American physicist has warned that making contact with them could be the end of our existence.
© iStock
Mark Buchanan, formerly an editor of the science journal, Nature and magazine, New Scientist, insists that we abort all plans of making contact with different life forms as it could be 'extremely dangerous'.
While suggesting that he was grateful that there had been no evidence of contact with the aliens yet, Buchanan wrote a Washington Post piece titled, "Contacting aliens could end all life on earth. Let’s stop trying."
"The search for aliens has reached a stage of technological sophistication and associated risk that it needs strict regulation at national and international levels. Without oversight, even one person - with access to powerful transmitting technology - could take actions affecting the future of the entire planet.
"That's because any aliens we ultimately encounter will likely be far more technologically advanced than we are, for a simple reason: Most stars in our galaxy are much older than the sun.
"If civilizations arise fairly frequently on some planets, then there ought to be many civilizations in our galaxy millions of years more advanced than our own. Many of these would likely have taken significant steps to begin exploring and possibly colonizing the galaxy," the article read.
© Netflix
While there has been a stack of sci-fi movies showing human-alien contact, Buchanan suggests that it hasn't happened in real life as the alien civilization may consider it risky to send out any signals due to the history of humans on Earth.
"More alarming is the possibility that alien civilizations are remaining out of contact because they know something: that sending out signals is catastrophically risky. Our history on Earth has given us many examples of what can happen when civilizations with unequal technology meet - generally, the technologically more advanced has destroyed or enslaved the other.
© iStock
"A cosmic version of this reality might have convinced many alien civilizations to remain silent. Exposing yourself is an invitation to be preyed upon and devoured," said Buchanan.
The physicist's final call to the world is that if humanity really wants to see the consequences of potential contact, more people should be involved in the decision-making process.
"For obvious reasons, much of the thinking about these issues has to be rather speculative. The best way forward, perhaps, is to broaden the discussion. If all of humanity is exposed to the possible consequences of trying to contact alien civilizations, then more people should be involved in making decisions about what is wise and what isn't. It shouldn't be left to a handful of radio astronomers," concluded Buchanan.

Microsoft has officially named CEO Satya Nadella as the board chairman after being the top executive at the company for more than seven years. The new appointment will strengthen Nadella’s influence on the world’s largest software maker in the world.
© Reuters
“The board credits Mr Nadella for his tremendous progress driving cultural change across the organization, especially given the unprecedented impact of Covid-19 on our business and our people,” Microsoft said.
Nadella, 53, has succeeded John Thompson who will now return to the role of lead independent director. The new appointment comes due to a vote of confidence in Nadella who has been leading the company since February 2014. When Nadella took over the helms of Microsoft, Bill Gates stepped down as chairman and appointed Thompson as the new chairman who would mentor Nadella.
Before Nadella’s appointment, Microsoft was suffering from failures in the smartphone and search market. The company also saw the waning of the Windows operating system before Nadella turned it around. Nadella focussed the company on cloud computing, artificial intelligence and mobile apps. He brought new life into the Office software franchise by bringing it to other operating systems including Android and integrating cloud services. Nadella also turned around the failure of Xbox One by appointing Phil Spencer as the head of the gaming department.
© Reuters
Microsoft’s shares are now approaching $2 trillion market cap, thanks to Nadella’s leadership and the company is now amongst the top technology companies in the world. Nadella was the third CEO at Microsoft and will now also be the third Chairman at the company following Gates and Thompson. This will also be the first time a Microsoft CEO would also be the chairman of the company since Bill Gates was at the helm.
Nadella is one of Microsoft’s top individual shareholders, with more than 1.6 million shares of the company’s stock at the moment.
