Shaving in the summers can be obnoxiously painful.
© Instagram/kartikaaryan
The skin gets all itchy and irritated, and, in case you tend to sweat a lot, things become even worse.
No matter how good a moisturiser you use, or what household remedies you go for, you simply cannot bear the irritation and the itch.
© Instagram/rajkummar_rao
Even worse, is when you have to deal with a nasty razor burn in the summers.
But does it have to be that way? Absolutely not.
Of, course, you need to follow the right shaving routine, but more importantly, you also need to invest in the right shaving products.
© MensXP
Here are 5 pocket-friendly shaving products that work wonders on your skin, and are just perfect for the summers:
1. MensXP MUD Shaving Cream__ECOMPRODUCT__316__
You’ve got to have your basics in place.
Having a good shaving cream that lathers up easily, and softens up your bristles as well as your skin, is paramount.
Plus, it is an added benefit if your shaving cream also happens to hydrate your skin thoroughly.
Why We Recommend:
· Formulated using all-natural ingredients like cupuacu butter, cocoa & sandalwood extracts
· Lathers up very easily
· Free from parabens, sulphates & other harsh chemicals that may damage the skin
· Has a gentle formulation.
2. Bombay Shaving Company Turmeric Shaving Foam__ECOMPRODUCT__1589__
In case shaving creams seem to be too tedious, and you need something that’s easier to use, this is what you should go for.
It is loaded with elements that act as antioxidants and it has a very creamy texture that makes your razors just glide off of your skin.
Why We Recommend:
· Contains turmeric, sandalwood and Kesar which have great antibacterial properties
· Has a very soothing effect on the skin, especially if you have sensitive skin
· Alcohol, SLE, and paraben-free, meaning an irritation-free shave
· Antiseptic ayurvedic properties of turmeric help reduce redness and blemishes
3. RUSTIC ART Lavender Charcoal Shaving Soap,__ECOMPRODUCT__1590__
A shaving soap, especially a really good one that is soft on the skin, and makes it feel plush, may just as well change how you feel about shaving.
This shaving soap is best suited if you have oily skin, and need something that feels light and rejuvenating on your skin.
Why We Recommend:
· Has sal butter & cold-pressed oils which moisturize and ensures a smooth shave
· Aloe vera & glycerin has a very soothing effect & makes the skin soft post-shave
· Lavender based essential oil has a relaxing fragrance that lasts long
· Lathers up easily and stays.
4. MensXP MUD After Shave Balm__ECOMPRODUCT__307__
You need something for your skin after you’re done shaving.
Now, instead of going for an aftershave that has a strong alcohol content, why not go for something that moisturises your skin, and refreshes, heals and protects your skin against infections, inflammation and irritation?
Why We Recommend:
· Aloe vera & cocoa butter to moisturise the skin
· Ingredients are gentle on the skin & help in soothing irritated skin
· Antiseptic ingredients like tea tree oil treat inflamed skin & prevent razor bumps
· Free from alcohol parabens, sulphates & other harsh chemicals
5. Nishman Iceberg After Shave Care Lotion__ECOMPRODUCT__1591__
People often forget, but you need to moisturise your skin properly after you shave. This is where post-shave lotions come in.
This one by Nishman has a very light and creamy formulation that is soft on the skin while being nourishing and hydrating.
Why We Recommend:
· Has a great fragrance that lasts long.
· Is soft on the skin, and does not sting
· Moisturises your skin and keeps it hydrated for a long time
· Is rich in vitamin E which improves the skin’s elasticity and overall health
The Bottomline…
Shaving in the summers doesn’t necessarily have to be an irritating and itchy experience. Just follow the right routine, invest in some good products that are suitable for your skin, and you’re all good to go.

What’s good for my body, must be just as beneficial for my skin—be it a plant-based diet or exercising, consistently.
This logic is responsible for blurring the line between health and grooming.
As the notion of plant-based skincare is gaining popularity worldwide, our appetite for home remedies is also growing.
On the other hand, the myths like all chemicals are bad or natural products aren’t as effective as their lab-produced counterparts are limiting skincare for many.
But happy groomers bravely explore beyond the mass myths and beliefs and reap benefits, indeed.
With that in mind, we’ve highlighted five of the most important skincare ingredients that are trending and have the potential to become your favourite.
1. CBD Oil (Cannabidiol)The discussion about cannabis, one of the most controversial yet coveted ingredients, has entered the realm of beauty. Thanks to its reported skin benefits.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), marijuana has anti-inflammatory properties. Thus, CBD oil may help reduce inflammatory skin conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis.
Note: Products formulated with CBD oil will not give you the ‘high’ as they don’t contain THC, the chemical responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis.

2. CicaCica aka Centella Asiatica or tiger grass should be your go-to for calming irritation or stressed out complexions. It works like a charm on sensitive skin. So when you’re worried about breakouts or just need some TLC for your skin, reach out for this comforting blanket.
Not to forget, Cica is already an important part of the K-beauty routine!
__ECOMPRODUCT__1586__
3. Collagen Collagen—both marine and plant-based—is still being pegged as the next big hero ingredient. Largely due to its capability of showing quick results.
Collagen is a protein that naturally occurs in the body and maintains the skin’s structure, smoothness, suppleness, strength and retains water.
The production of collagen declines over time resulting in thinner, dryer and dull skin. This is when consumption of collagen supplements helps restore skin’s health and provides holistic wellness benefits.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1587__
4. NiacinamideIf you’re working from home or spending 6+ hours on a screen every day for any other reason, you should familiarise your skin with niacinamide, another form of vitamin B3.
Tech screens and the sun, both emit blue light that can penetrate the skin and generate reactive oxygen species. These species can damage DNA and cause hyperpigmentation.
Niacinamide can help your skin fight blue light, add radiance and alleviate the appearance the dark spots.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1588__
5. PHAs (Polyhydroxy Acids) © Polyhydroxy Acids
When you think of skincare acids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) surely come to mind. But polyhydroxy acids (PHAs), the new generation AHAs are creating a buzz in the beauty industry now.
Much like AHAs and BHAs, PHAs are chemical exfoliators that help remove dead cells from the skin’s surface and reveal an even-toned, radiant look.
Unlike AHAs and BHAs, PHAs can cater to all skin types including sensitive skin. They offer similar benefits to AHAs but without irritating the skin.
PHAs also provide better moisturisation and help strengthen skin barrier function. Gluconolactone, galactose and lactobionic acid are some of the most popular PHAs.
Keep Up With The Trends!Skincare starts with determining your skin type and choosing products with the right ingredients for its concerns. You must understand that buying random products will do no good.
But now that you know all about the skin care ingredients that are making a buzz in the beauty town and their importance, make sure you add your favourites to the must-try list!

Actor Arjun Kapoor said that his mother never pitted any ill will towards his father, Boney Kapoor. Boney Kapoor was married to Mona Shourie, Arjun’s mother when he got in a relationship with the late actor Sridevi.
In an interview, Arjun Kapoor said that despite all that happened, his mother never spoke ill of Boney Kapoor. However, Arjun reconnected with his dad after the death of Sridevi in 2018.
View this post on Instagram
In an interview, the actor said, "I have had many women shape me consciously or subconsciously. My father was a working man and my mom couldn’t work things out and eventually, he decided to get married again and have another family. I didn’t spend as much time with him. I have always had my nani, my mom and my sister. So I have learned to empathize with the other *** far sooner than other boys would. The maturity that I got is from my mother who taught me to be a certain way."
He also said, "My mom never festered any ill feelings towards my father, even when she had every right to poison us. That’s basically the root of why I’m somebody who’s broad-minded. My mother could have easily told me, ‘Your father has left us high and dry and he has decided to be a certain way'. I don’t remember a day when my mother spoke negatively about my father. That’s where I learnt from. Today, when I have grown up and walk a little bit in my father’s shoes, I understand why I love my father. He, for all his flaws, also has a lot of strength. He is a very lovable man so she loved him.”

He also said that with age, he learned to be more understanding and that he can imagine his parents having gone through certain things that led to separation. He said, "You try and be a good son, because that's what my mother would want," he said.

A couple of days ago, a video went viral showing Ramdev calling allopathy “stupid” and denouncing the numerous medications that have supposedly failed to deliver against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in India.
"Allopathy ek aisi stupid aur diwalilya science hai... (allopathy is such a stupid science)," he could be heard saying in the video.
Till now it was still tolerable but this video by Ramdev has crossed all limits. I am not against Ayurveda but this fraud man is making serious allegations now!Considering the following this bigot has,he is nothing less than a pandemic now ! He should be taught his limits ASAP ! pic.twitter.com/d0twVO4ZNc

Recently, Nikita Panwar, an MBBS intern slammed the yoga guru for his insensitive remarks towards the conventional medical sciences while sharing a picture of herself the proper kit, from her Twitter account:
I am 24,posted in ICU,with 8-10 new mucormycosis cases daily, heavy viral load, risking our lives to save patients & then we see the comments like Baba Ramdev,so much depressing.
We are not money minded like you baba,
We are paid only 12k/month
Have some shame!#ArrestQuackRamdev pic.twitter.com/fYUN7yyhzH

We are not money minded like you baba, We are paid only 12k/month Have some shame!” she wrote.
On Saturday morning, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) requested the Union Health Ministry to take “serious action” against the 55-year old for trying to mislead hundreds of people with “unlearned” statements against the medical sciences.
The IMA also sent a legal notice to Ramdev for the same, while also asking the ministry to prosecute him under the Epidemic Diseases Act.
IMA HQs Press Release on 22.05.2021 pic.twitter.com/rrc1LXA24n
— Indian Medical Association (@IMAIndiaOrg) May 22, 2021
"In this war-like setting, it has become a passion for people with malicious opportunistic attitude to hit from the back and the medical warriors with their selfish malevolent to boost up their unscrupulous, unprincipled, deceitful, and unpatriotic business fortunes. They pretend to throw mud on modern allopathic medicine but time and again benefited through back door in modern medicine hospitals when they get the disease," IMA wrote.
"In the past too, he has uttered modern medical doctors as murders in the presence of honorable health minister himself on the pretext of the release of his wonder drugs. However, it is well-known fact that said the said yoga guruji and his associate Sri Balakrishna Ji have been taking modern medical allopathy treatment as and when they get into illness. Now to mislead the public at large he is making all false and baseless accusations so that he can sell his illegal and an approved drugs," the medical association alleged.
"Swami Ramdev deserves to be prosecuted for disobeying and cause danger to the life of many by making them believe and make them not to take the advice of allopathy drugs. His quote about Favipiravir as medicine against fever/antipyretic is laughable, childish, and demonstrates his in-depth scientific knowledge," the IMA had said in a press statement.
— Acharya Balkrishna (@Ach_Balkrishna) May 22, 2021
Since then, Patanjali has tried to justify the actions and words of Baba Ramdev by saying that the yoga guru was simply reading a forwarded message on his phone and that he had no intentions of insulting allopathy as medical science.
They have further stated that Ramdev feels a combination of allopathy, Ayurveda and yoga will bring a lot of benefits to the people, especially under such times of difficulty when the whole nation is suffering through a pandemic.

Have you been meaning to heat things up between the sheets with your partner this summer? Well, first consider, cooling down.
While switching on the air conditioner is great, you know what’s even better? Using ice cubes to stimulate your brain, body and turn on spots.
Yes, what a warm comforter does in winters to get you in the mood for some action, an ice cube does exactly that in summer to awaken your nerve endings and some kinks.
Make a beeline to your freezer, grab a few ice cubes and follow these 5 step-by-step tips for a hot session you will keep wanting to get back to.
Start With A Cold Massage For starters, keep a bucket of ice on your bedside table and start your icy session with a cold massage.
Rub ices in your hands so they are nice and cold and start massaging your partner’s shoulders, neck, and back to have their nerves relax and senses perked. Take turns and have them do the same to you.
To make the session more sensual take a few drops of an essential oil like Ylang Ylang that works to soothe frayed nerves and further boosts to your *** drive.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1574__
Graduate To An Icy KissFish out an ice cube and rub it on your lips until they get super cold, put the what’s left of the cube in your mouth, and kiss your partner.
Have your partner trace the remaining ice cube in your mouth with her tongue and let the contrast of your cold lips and her warm mouth arouse you both slowly.
If you get too carried away tonsil hockeying your way to each other's heart and get chapped lips, just apply a hydrating lip balm to fix things up before calling it a night.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1582__
Tease The Erogenous ZonesTake the ice cubes in your hands and use them to explore the erogenous zones along her naked body. Once you are down to the south pole exploring all turn on spots, trace the chilly path back up with your warm tongue.
The temperature change will arouse her to the bits, while the anticipation of watching where your tongue goes next will take her to paradise.
Prepare yourself for what’s gonna happen next with this stamina booster love kit.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1583__
__ECOMPRODUCT__1584__
Move On To A Nippy Foreplay Rub the ice cubes over your partner’s nipples while you put your tongue to play and kiss her neck and lick her earlobes.
Once her nipples are hard and cold, warm them up with your mouth.
Take breaks, play some naughty board game to make the night further unforgettable. Set rules and bets, if your partner loses, have them go down on you and enjoy a frosty fellatio.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1583__
Gear Up For The Main ActWhether your partner has a vulva or a *****, licking their nether regions with an ice cube in the mouth will titillate them in ways you have never imaged.
Ice will also make the parts numb, prolong your orgasm and have you last longer in bed.
You can also try a spray formulated to decrease sensitivity on the private area to boost your sexual experience.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1344__
Final ThoughtsOnce you both experience your ultimate orgasm, gently move the ice cube across your partner’s back for a sensual cooldown, then ask them to return the favour.
Remember, experimenting is the key to always keeping the spark alive in your *** life. So, put your guard down and indulge in a sexy session — on the rocks.

Recently, a District Collector in Chhattisgarh slapped a youth who was reportedly out to buy some medicines amid statewide lockdown on Saturday. He didn’t only slap the boy, but he also smashed his phone on the floor and asked the cops to beat him up along with ordering an FIR against him.
Now, the video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place in the Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh. In the video, you can see District Collector Ranbir Sharma taking the youth’s phone and smashing it on the road.
After this, he slaps the youth even when he tries to show him some papers and explain why he is out during lockdown.
Check out the video here-
This brute is District Collector of @SurajpurDist, Chhattisgarh Ranbir Sharma. Has been suspended. Deserves far worse, of course. The IAS officer was reportedly transferred in 2015 on bribery charges. Should be made an example of and serve prison time. pic.twitter.com/qmV9YnVy6y
— Shiv Aroor (@ShivAroor) May 22, 2021
In the video, we can see the District Collector refuting to listen to the youth. After this, some cops running towards them, and one of them can be seen beating the boy on the collector’s orders. He is then joined by another cop who starts beating him up.
And towards the end of the video, the district collector was heard instructing the cops to lodge FIR against the youth.
However, now after the video went viral on social media, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday removed the collector.
— Bhupesh Baghel (@bhupeshbaghel) May 23, 2021
The IAS Association also condemned the behavior and took to Twitter saying, “It is unacceptable and against the basic tenets of the service and civility. Civil servants must have empathy and provide a healing touch to society at all times, more so in these difficult times.”
The collector had, however, apologized for his actions.
Here’s what people have to say about this on social media-

When it comes to working selflessly towards the betterment of the others, especially during a crisis as severe as the COVID-19 pandemic in India, which is seeing the biggest wave of infections this world has ever seen, Sonu Sood has etched his name in the hearts of the common people.
From providing food, shelter and hospital beds to those in need to now going on to set up oxygen plants at Kurnool and Nellore hospitals in Andhra Pradesh from next month onwards, Sood has, not once, failed to prove what real humanitarian work looks like.
Very happy to announce that the first set of my Oxygen Plants will be set up at Kurnool Government Hospital & one at District Hospital, Atmakur,Nellore, AP in the month of June! This would be followed by setting more plants in the other needy states! Time to support rural India 🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/vLef9Po0Yl
— sonu sood (@SonuSood) May 22, 2021
And still, some weeds of the society have managed to find a way to make money by scams and cheating, and creating fake accounts in the name of the actor and have been profiting without remorse, about how this impacts his reputation or the lives of millions of helpless people.
In a conversation with Times Now’s Group Editor (Politics) Navika Kumar, Sonu Sood addresses these cheats candidly.
Many people are cheating by collecting money in my name: @SonuSood, Actor, tells Navika Kumar on #FranklySpeakingWithSonuSood pic.twitter.com/V4tTAAPzVl
— TIMES NOW (@TimesNow) May 23, 2021
“I believe Insan bahut hein aur insaniyay bahut kum. So many people have created fake accounts and foundations in my name. They take money by telling them that they will bring them proper medication,” Sood says.
“I have caught a lot of people. I was speaking to someone about this just yesterday. I spoke to him on video conference and he was stunned that it was really me talking to him. I asked him why he was doing all these things,” he adds.
View this post on Instagram
“I told him ‘I will give you a job’ and he started crying. He told me ‘I was in a lot of trouble. I will return all the money’,” added the actor.
“So I know people are doing these things because of their own needs but they have lost that feeling that with how much difficulty is a human being searching for medicines for his mother, father and kids, and you are giving them fake medicines and even trying to blackmail them.”
At the end, a completely demoralised Sonu Sood could be seen talking about how this pandemic might help such culprits awaken their humanity once again. “Those people whose humanity is still asleep, they aren’t truly alive. We can see them, but they aren’t alive,” he concludes.

Recently, yoga guru Baba Ramdev called allopathy a ‘stupid science’. Yes, he got a lot of flak on social media for saying all this. Later, the Indian Medical Association sent a legal notice to Baba Ramdev over his alleged statements and defaming scientific medicines.
Indian Medical Association (IMA) sent a legal notice to yoga guru Ramdev over his alleged statements against allopathy.

However, now Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust has refuted allegations that the yoga guru has misled people by making "unlearned" statements against allopathy and defamed scientific medicine.
According to them, Ramdev was reading out a Whatsapp message in the video that has gone viral on social media. They issued a statement saying, “It is clarified that the truncated version of the video is totally out of context of what is sought to be conveyed by Swami jee."
Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust said, “He was reading out a forwarded WhatsApp message received by him and various other members who were participating in the event.”

It further said, “Ramdev has utmost regards for doctors and support staff who have been working day and night during such a challenging time of the pandemic.”
The IMA demanded, “Union Health Minister either accept the accusation and dissolve modern medical facility or prosecute him and book him under Epidemic Diseases Act.”

It also said, “IMA brings to the notice of our Hon. Health minister, a video circulating in social media portraying, the celebrated Yoga Guruji saying that 'modern allopathy ek aisi stupid aur diwaliya science hai' (modern allopathy is a stupid and failed science).”
Not only this, the Delhi Medical Association has also lodged a police complaint against Ramdev. An officer said, “We have received the complaint and enquiry is being conducted.”
