If someone like Priyanka Chopra Jonas approves of your sense of style and fashion, then you know you’ve got a strong game.

Priyanka & Nick Jonas recently attend the Billboards Music Awards, also called the BBMA, in outfits that can only be described as bombshells.

While Priyanka Chopra Jonas was dressed in a stunning, custom made thigh slit dress from Dolce & Gabanna, it was Nick Jonas, who clearly stole the show.
    © Instagram/priyankachopra
The outfit he was wearing was a great example of how one ought to go for monochrome outfits, especially when they have a light complexion.

The unstructured, baggy jacket, was brilliantly paired with a pair of matching pants. The suit is a custom-made set from Fendi.
    © AFP
The idea to skip a belt was also a deft touch that worked brilliantly well with the hook & bar straps.

    © AFP
We also like the chunky looking boots that Nick went for. They are very contemporary and have a very unique appeal, and they go perfectly well with the rest of Nick’s outfit.

These black leather winter boots come courtesy of Fendi, and they retail for about $995, or about Rs 72,000.
    © AFP
His accessories game, however, is what sets him apart though.

Take a note of the golden wallet chain that he’s carrying. They sit in contrast to the rest of his outfit while striking a wonderful balance.
Now that’s the kind of men’s jewellery that we’re certainly down for - masculine and ultra-chic, all at once.
    © AFP
The statement piece of his outfit though has to be the watch that he’s wearing.

Nick is seen here wearing a special edition of the Richard Mille RM 11-01 Roberto Mancini. The piece that we see on Nick’s wrist is the 18K Rose Gold edition of the RM 11-01.
    © Richard Mille
Given that this is a Richard Mille piece, the watch had a very limited run. The piece that we see nick wear is even rarer than your normal RM 11-01s.

While there were about 125 pieces of the standard RM 11-01, only 20 pieces were made in the 18K Rose Gold colour.
    © Hodinkee
That makes the watch an expensive timepiece. If you were to buy one from an authorised Richard Mille dealer, you would have to shell out about $190,000 or Rs 1.38 Crores.

However, given the provenance of the watch and how rare the rose-gold edition is, it wouldn’t be a surprise if resellers asked for another Rs 20-30 Lakhs more for it.
    © AFP
Say what you will though, the watch surely looks dapper. As for Nick, well, when haven’t we gawked in awe at his outfits? The man clearly knows, how to dress to impress.

As if we already didn't have enough problems on our plate, a new disease seems to have arrived called the Black fungus.
The country's medical experts now have to grapple with yet another life-threatening health problem. It is said that this fungal infection has a 50% mortality rate.
We aren't trying to scare you but it says that the disease starts with the nose and then spreads to the brain. It can be treated by major surgery.
    © iStock
Even though it's a rare disease, India has reported at least 7,200 diagnosed with the infection and around 219 have died until now. This infection is usually found in soil and organic matter.

It is caused by fungal spores and when inhaled by humans, it can cause the nose to turn black. It can spread faster with compromised immunity and can be fatal.
So far, many states including Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan etc witnessed black fungus cases. Hence it has been declared an epidemic.
    © YouTube/Wion
Amid the rising cases, now there's a case of yellow fungus as well, which is said to be more dangerous than the black or white fungus.

This is the first case and has been reported in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The symptoms of this disease include having a low appetite, feeling lethargic etc.
Some of its other symptoms include leakage of pus. It can also lead to organ failure, sunken eyes and finally to necrosis.
    © iStock
It is advised that as soon as one notices these symptoms, they should seek professional help. The treatment of this disease is with an antifungal drug called Amphotericin B injection.

This disease is mostly due to poor hygiene. Now that we are all indoors, it's recommended that you keep the surroundings clean.
Discard any expired food items to prevent fungal and bacterial growth. Humidity inside the house can encourage the fungus to grow further. Hence it needs to stay between 30% and 40%.

Union Health Minister on Monday added "Out of 5,424 cases, 4,556 patients have a history of COVID-19 infection. 55% of the patients had diabetes,"

As soon as the news of yellow fungus went live, people on Twitter turned it into a meme fest as the world is already dealing with the pandemic. We're truly in denial!

The Mass Effect trilogy has been close to my heart ever since I played the first game 14 years ago. It was the closest thing to Star Wars and Star Trek in video games media and spiritual successor to Knights of the Old Republic, the first RPG I ever played. Now, Electronic Arts and Bioware have remastered the epic trilogy with graphics meant for modern players and quality of life improvements that bring it up to par with recent releases.
It’s exactly as I remember it, filled with lore and alien species that is at par with the greats of science fiction. The games are known for having a massive cast of characters and an equal number of stories to fall in love with. Mass Effect is considered the pinnacle of storytelling in RPGs and the Legendary Edition carries on that tradition with updated visuals and gameplay mechanics. While Bioware has seen a rocky track record last generation, these games are a reminder of what Bioware is truly capable of—making great games.
In Mass Effect Legendary Edition, players will get access to the remastered collection of all three original Mass Effect titles and DLC content that was sold separately if you played the original games. The collection offers gamers over 80 hours of content and even more if you’re a completionist.
    Mass Effect 1  © EA
The first game in the series was a technical marvel when it was released 14 years ago, however it also needed the most amount of work to make it presentable today. The remastered version of the game offers stunning visuals where environments like Eden Prime look completely reimagined. Every visual aspect of the game from lighting to animations look considerably better than the original game.

    © EA
The game also incorporates quality of life improvements such as smoother frame rates and better timed cutscenes. The biggest change one will notice in the gunplay mechanics where it is less janky than before. Getting behind cover is also more streamlined as I distinctly remember getting frustrated with the original game. It’s more in line with Mass Effect 2 and 3 that makes the overall experience quite enjoyable.

Having said that, the menu system is still quite convoluted and changing your gear isn’t as seamless as I hoped it to be. I was under the impression that Bioware might incorporate the same menu system as ME 2/3, however that is not the case. Having said that, this version of Mass Effect is still the best way to experience the story and gameplay right now.
Mass Effect 2Arguably the best game in the entire series, Mass Effect 2 launched in 2010 with upgraded graphics and better gameplay. The case remains the same here for the remastered version where the game looks exceptionally beautiful. You will notice the huge leap in graphics and gameplay upgrades from the first game.
    © EA
While the original game still holds up well today, there are visual upgrades in the Legendary Edition that makes the game a lot more vibrant. Character models look sharper and maps are more detailed than the ones I used in the original game. Cutscenes look even more realistic which I never thought would be possible.

Combat mechanics are also improved and one doesn’t feel the clunkiness from the original game and is far more addictive. New movement options such as mantling over cover, sprinting and reloading weapons have also been improved or added. Overall, Mass Effect 2 is a better game in every aspect including storytelling than the original. Add the updated textures and quality of life improvements on top, Mass Effect 2 Legendary Edition is easily the best space opera game you can play today.
    © EA
Mass Effect 2 offers more of everything you love from the first game. There are more stories to experience, different enemy types to battle and more meaningful RPG mechanics that directly tie in with the overall narrative.

Mass Effect 3: The Final Symphony The moment you start playing Mass Effect 3, you know that an epic blockbuster story is waiting for you. That’s because the final instalment in the franchise was marketed as such. The launch of the final game in the trilogy was a cultural phenomenon in 2012 and the remastered version made me remember every memory I had with the game nine years ago. However, at that time, fans of the franchise weren’t a big fan of the ending, including myself. EA was further criticised for gatekeeping the proper ending behind a paid DLC. However, the Legendary Edition has it all, including the DLC with the true ending.
    © EA
However, the journey you take to conclude the final story of Commander Shepard is breathtaking and satisfying gunplay. Mass Effect 3 offers the best gameplay mechanics out of all three games. Taking cover and picking off enemies never feels old until the very end of the game. In fact, the multiplayer in the third game is so good that fans of the franchise now want a multiplayer mode that was left out.

    © EA
It is also worth pointing out that all three games come with a photography mode and you will end up utilising the feature most in the third game. That’s because it is the most stunning looking game from the trilogy and you will take images from the get-go.

Performance I’ve been playing the game on my PlayStation 5 and the experience has been ultra-smooth so far. I did not notice any frame rate dips during my gameplay albeit in 1080p mode. The game does not support the higher refresh rate on the PS5 on 4K resolution which can be a bit disappointing. For players on the Xbox Series X, the game does run up to 60 fps at 4K UHD resolution. I did experience some crashes during my gameplay, however the autosave system in all three games have been a saviour. Bioware has fixed stability concerns with a recent update, however I would still recommend players to save their progress often.
The Final Say Mass Effect Legendary Edition comes at a perfect time for a generation of gamers that did not get to experience the original game. With updated visuals and gameplay mechanics, the collection masterfully balances the experience for newcomers and existing fans of the franchise alike.
Played on the PS5 with a code provided by Electronic Arts.

Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Abhay Deol’s movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is surely one of those cult films that has left an indelible impression in our minds. The iconic bromance between Kabir, Imraan and Arjun gave us major friendship goals. If you have seen the movie, you must remember the iconic ‘the mantal buoy’ scene.
The Instagram handle of Zoya Akhtar’s production banner, Tiger Baby Films, shared a video revealing what went behind the making of this particular scene and in fact, Hrithik almost killed Farhan and Abhay. Before we get into details that Abhay Deol had revealed about the scene, here’s a look at it:

The “mantal buoy” scene comes in the movie when the trio is en route to Costa Brava, and Hrithik’s character Arjun gets a work call. Talking about the scene, Abhay said, “I remember this scene in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara really well. So, there was Zoya and Farhan's teacher in Maneckji, who couldn't say 'boy', he would say 'buoy' and 'mantal' and they would make fun of him. Zoya was like that's where it comes from, this is sort of like taking the piss out of our teacher. I was like, 'why are you giving it to me?! I'm not the Maneckji kid'."
Deol further narrated, "So I think the irony of this scene was that I didn't actually hear the man say it the way he did. This scene just kind of became iconic of the movie, 'the buoys, the mantal buoys', much bigger than I imagined it would go, this particular part. I was so happy that people responded to it cause I was like, 'I'm gonna ruin their teacher and this is all wrong', oh well, Zoya seems happy, she was laughing."
About Hritik almost killing the two, he said, “I also remember before shooting this scene, Hrithik almost killed me and Farhan. How he did that was, he was behind the driver's seat and he drove the car into this corner to park it, on the side, for the background of the shot and forgot to switch the car off! Just opens the door and walks out of it and then suddenly jumps back in cause the car started going forward to go down the hill."
He concluded by saying, "Farhan was really fast, I remember he jumped out immediately and I just sat there thinking, 'I'm gonna die now'. Ah, I need to be a lot faster about such things."
    Here’s the video:

As deplorable and disheartening the situation is right now across hospitals and covid-care centres in India, one thing is certainly true. Had it not been for our doctors, nurses and other health care workers, the situation might have been far, far worse.

    © BCCL
In a time like this, the least that hospital managements and the government can do, is pay them better. That too would have been a very small token of gratitude.

While certain state governments have indeed raised salaries of the HCWs they employ, certain private players have decided to implement a reduction in salaries, and call them “Covid Cut.”
    © BCCL
A Twitter user by the name of DR PP, whose user handle is “@muddledsoul23” put out a tweet earlier today, saying that nurses and other HCWs are getting a 25 per cent reduction in their salaries.

Our nurses had a 25% salary deduction this time - "Covid cut" the management says.
If anyone deserves to be paid fully and on time, it is the nurses, for they form the backbone of the healthcare system.

There needs to be a law in place to stop salary cuts for HCWs.
    — Dr. PP ~ (@muddledsoul23) May 22, 2021
She also said that rather than getting their salaries deducted, they should be paid fully on time, as “they form the backbone of the healthcare system.”
This is not the first time such a piece of news has come up. Last year as well, there was a similar exercise all across the country.
People have had this assumption that doctors in India ear exceptionally well. While that may be true for a small percentage of MBBS graduates, a majority of doctors don’t actually get paid that well.
Nurses and other HCWs, especially in private hospitals are given peanuts for the work they do.
    © BCCL
According to a number of job portals, in India, the average salaries for nurses in private hospitals range from Rs 22,000 to Rs 35,000. Many of them actually start at an average salary of about Rs 13,000. The pandemic has only made it worse.

    © BCCL
In contrast, several state governments have announced that HCWs in state-run hospitals and centres will be given a 25 per cent increase in pay or an equivalent honorarium.

People on Twitter reacted strongly to this, with many claiming that given many private hospitals are making lakhs out of a single patient, they should be paying the staff at the grass-roots level, more than what they are being paid.
The hospitals are making unprecedented profits. Why this cut? Pure greed, I guess
    — Sandip Tarkas (@SandipTarkas) May 23, 2021 I strongly feel, a complete audit is required especially in small towns & semi urban areas. Heard many Hospitals r charging 10-17 lacs for a week. In many cases they claim INR 50k, 100k per injection for a better recovery. What’s this?? Some kind of menu?
    — Bipin (@SpiritualBM) May 23, 2021 Covid cut!!!! When hospitals are running full? This is disgraceful, nurses should be paid more for putting themselves out there and working through the pandemic, they're already an underpaid, overworked lot
    — Priyamvada (@PriyamvadaKowsh) May 22, 2021 This is inhumane. This makes me angry.
Nurses should, in fact, be paid bonuses! Their service can't be quantified because it's priceless and immeasurable, but extra pay is the tiniest way we can thank them.
    — Neha Chamaria (@NehamsChamaria) May 22, 2021 All Doctors & Nurses should be given double salary from last 1 year, in which they fought Corona by putting their and their families life at risk &
facing so many difficulties at home due to no help, social distancing etc to take care of parents & kids.
    — Observers_India (@Observers_India) May 23, 2021 Salary deductions for Drs, Nurses in these pandemic period should not be accepted.

Management wants to get richest before the pandemic ends. pic.twitter.com/4tFLAAzlUT
    — Urmi (@urmisgr8) May 23, 2021 Meanwhile, there were a few to point out that certain state governments, in this case, the Uttar Pradesh government had increased the salaries for their HCWs.
In some places, there is extra salary for HCWs. Wish the same could be followed by all state govt considering health is a state subject pic.twitter.com/iyT4fXZsAX
    — Rohit Mahato (@rohitmahato10) May 24, 2021Where are you working as a matter of fact we ve paid our staff twice the normal renumeration for working In Covid times along with food and stay.....It's a matter of disgrace for the concerned hospital if they resort to such cuts.
    — Dr Anukul Anantrao Nikam (@anukulan) May 22, 2021This is quite shameful that at a time when health care workers are proving to be of the utmost importance, they have to face atrocities such as this.
What do you make of this situation? Are hospitals justified in cutting costs by reducing the salaries of nurses and other health care workers, or is it out of pure greed that such incidents are happening? Let us know in the comments below.

Criticizing the Centre for not supplying enough vaccines to cater to the needs of Indian capital New Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's government had earlier stated that it will try negotiating with the vaccine producers themselves in order to procure foreign vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna.
    © Reuters
However, Kejriwal on Monday (May 24) said that both United States pharmaceutical giants Pfizer and Moderna had made it clear that they would not be selling the vaccines directly to Delhi.

"We've spoken to Pfizer and Moderna for vaccines, and both the manufacturers have refused to sell vaccines directly to us. They have said they will deal with the central government." Kejriwal said while speaking to reporters. "We appeal to the centre to import vaccines and distribute to the states," he added.

Kejriwal's failure to go ahead with a vaccine deal comes a day after Moderna had refused to sell vaccines to the Punjab state as well.

According to officials, Punjab Chief Captain Amarinder Singh had gotten in touch with foreign vaccine developers in order to conclude a deal for direct purchases of the vaccine, however, it was all in vain as Moderna rejected such a deal.

Kejriwal, who was recently called out by the Singapore government for falsely linking a new Covid strain to the island country, has already come under fire for the oxygen crisis in New Delhi which led to the loss of many lives in the city.

Now, with Pfizer and Moderna outrightly choosing to not entertain Kejriwal's initiative, people could not help taking a dig at the Delhi Chief Minister with many even calling it "Bezzati" (an insult) for the AAP government.

Almost a month back, when the second wave of COVID had reached its peak and was wreaking havoc all over the country like never before, Delhi turned out to be one of the worst sufferers. With essential medicines being unavailable with their stocks dwindling, Gautam Gambhir had stepped forward, announcing on Twitter that the inhabitants of East Delhi could collect Fabiflu, one of the most important medicines prescribed for COVID treatment, from his office.
People of East Delhi can get ‘Fabiflu’ from MP office (2, Jagriti Enclave) for FREE between 10-5. Kindly get Aadhar & prescription

    — Gautam Gambhir (@GautamGambhir) April 21, 2021
While he received public accolades for this back then, it ended up proving to be a mess later on for him. He was accused of 'illegally hoarding' the medicine, while chemists all around the country were out of stock. He did receive intense political flak for this as well, alleging misconduct.
Gujarat - BJP president hoarding life saving injections

Maharastra - BJP EX CM fadnavis hoarding remdesivir

Delhi- Part-time BJP MP & Full-time cricket commentator hoarding life saving medicines.

    Public representatives or criminals?

    You decide. https://t.co/teS1NhHMjP
    — Durgesh Pathak (@ipathak25) April 21, 20211) How much Fabiflu do you have in your possession?
    2) How did you procure so much of Fabiflu? @GautamGambhir

    CC @ArvindKejriwal :
    1) Is this legal?
    2) Is the shortage of Fabiflu at chemists’ shops due to such unauthorised procurement/distribution? https://t.co/ZfKnLINB2J
    — Pawan Khera (@Pawankhera) April 21, 2021He was assertive enough in his defence with the statement "If a few 100 strips of tablets obtained from a distributor are being given for free, then, can it be called hoarding? Is my obtaining a few strips of Fabiflu causing the shortage? You can call me wrong, but I'll do everything to save the lives of people", and pointed out the rampant 'black marketing' of Remdesivir.
Those who allowed Remdesivir to be black marketed at more than 30 thousand a vial & hospital beds to be sold for 5-10 Lakh in Delhi are concerned that a few hundred Fabiflu strips are being given for FREE to the poor. That’s their understanding of “Hoarding” #HumanLivesMatter
    — Gautam Gambhir (@GautamGambhir) April 21, 2021
The Delhi HC, after hearing the plea against him, observed that he has done a disservice by procuring the medicine without following due protocol, even if his intentions were good. The court said: "Whatever investigation is done, let the drug controller look into it. He [Gambhir] has been a national player. We are sure he had good intentions. But the way he has gone about it, he has actually done a disservice, even if unintentionally."
    Twitter, obviously, is divided.
Sooner or later questions will be asked why courts are selective in censuring when Pappu Firangi's youth wing have been hoarding meds & oxy concentrators the most. A feeling in genersl public courts are going soft on Mango Aadmi Party.
    — मैं हूँ भारत🇮🇳 (@ImIndia5) May 24, 2021So providing essential medicines to needy for free is disservice towards humanity...Joke..
    — Laxmikant Karwa 🇮🇳🇮🇳 (@LKK0209) May 24, 2021Delhi govt Minister distribute oxygen cylinder that is ok. But how can Gambhir help the needy ?

Was he hoarding for himself or blackmarkeeting?
He was providing them free to the people in need..this is what you call disservice..may be time to change the definition of disservice then..

The only question that any Friends fan has asked anyone since the 'Reunion' episode has been announced is “where will we be able to watch it?”.

The unscripted special of the iconic US sitcom will stream on HBO Max and HBO Go on 27th May 2021, but since the two streaming services aren’t available in India, desi fans of the show have been waiting to know about its Indian release.

Good news! Indian OTT platform Zee5 announced that it is bringing the show to India and fans cannot keep calm.

It shared a post on its official social media account and captioned it, “#FriendsReunionOnZEE5 Could we BE more excited? #StayTuned.”
It also added, “Buy the premium subscription for Rs. 499 & watch Friends: The Reunion exclusively on #ZEE5,” which means only the premium members will be able to stream the show.

As far as the date and time of the release goes, Zee5 hasn’t revealed it but the comment section is filled with excited fans asking them to bring it on the same day of its international premiere on HBO.

It makes sense because we certainly don’t want spoilers which will be all over the internet in no time.
A user wrote, “Hope it comes on the same day when it releases on HBO. Or else, it would be a waste.”
Another user commented, "Try to get it on 27th or at least the same week.” Zee5 responded to one of the comments saying, “#staytuned for updates on the release date we’ll be there for you.”

With the COVID 19 outbreak, our 'normal' lives have been completely disrupted. From people being left vulnerable to the country's health infrastructure being paralysed, COVID 19 has disrupted the worldly order to the extent where even doctors are losing hope because there’s no end to the impact of this deadly virus.
    View this post on Instagram
Earlier, there were reports that the virus was a bioweapon made in the labs of Wuhan and now with the recent report (citing a previously undisclosed U.S. intelligence report) published in the Wall Street Journal, it does feel that there was some truth to those speculations. According to the report, three researchers from China's Wuhan Institute of Virology had taken ill and sought hospital care in November 2019, months before China disclosed the very existence of the COVID-19 virus. Yes, you heard it right.
Earlier this year, a team from the World Health Organization spent a month in Wuhan investigating the origin of the virus and concluded that the virus most likely jumped from bats to people.
The Sunday Guardian has obtained a copy of the report dated May 19.
“The threads of circumstantial information suggest the outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 and resulting Covid-19 pandemic could have been the result of an accidental leak from the WIV, particularly given the absence of credible information that supports a zoonotic transmission. Unfortunately, Beijing has hindered the conduct of a full, credible investigation. There is overwhelming circumstantial evidence, however, to support a laboratory leak as the origination of Covid-19, while there is no substantive evidence supporting the natural zoonosis hypothesis,” the report states.
The report further goes on to say, “To prevent or quickly mitigate future pandemics, it’s crucial for health experts and the U.S. government to understand how the Covid-19 virus originated. Nevertheless, significant circumstantial evidence raises serious concerns that the Covid-19 outbreak may have been a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
“The Chinese government has been conducting dangerous and controversial research on bat coronaviruses ever since the original SARS outbreak in 2002. Some of this research resulted in laboratory leaks including a 2004 incident in Beijing that caused an outbreak. After the SARS epidemic, and likely as a result of the publicly known laboratory leaks, the government of China initiated a plan to construct a national high-level biosafety laboratory system to prepare for and respond to future infectious disease outbreaks. The Biosafety Level-4 (BSL-4) laboratory at the WIV was the first in China’s plan to build between five and seven BSL-4 laboratories across the Chinese mainland by 2025. However, just because the laboratory has BSL-4 certification does not mean that research and experiments conducted on bat coronaviruses were done under the strictest safety procedures. The lead scientist at the WIV publicly acknowledged that coronavirus research was being conducted at that laboratory in BSL-2 or BSL-3 laboratories. BSL-2 laboratories only require that researchers wear laboratory coats and gloves, while BSL-4 laboratories require strict decontamination procedures and wearing a full-body positive pressure suit,” added the report.
After the report went viral, people on social media lost their cool and want China to be held responsible for the outbreak. People even attacked WHO for its incompetence.

The Covid-19 pandemic may have paralyzed India and its health care systems but one thing that it has surely failed to slow down is the rate of marriages in the country.
Considered to not just be a sacrosanct union between two people but between two families as well, marriages in India are said to be the biggest social event bringing scores of relatives and people together to celebrate the occasion.

However, with Covid-19 guidelines and lockdown regulations imposed by states limiting the number of people attending such events, weddings have not been able to accommodate as many people as they would have in normal circumstances.

Well, not in the case of a couple from India's southern Tamil Nadu state.

According to reports, a couple from Madurai tied the knot on a plane in order to evade lockdown restrictions.
With the Tamil Nadu government declaring that only 50 guests would be allowed at weddings, the couple apparently booked an entire flight from Madurai to Bengaluru so that all of their 161 guests could attend the wedding while the flight was mid-air.
    YES, you heard that right!
Lol its true , A madurai couple got married in a flight to breach no. of guests in the wedding due to covid protocol. Jugaad level 🤣

The video showcases the clear violation of Covid-19 protocols like wearing masks as well as maintaining social distancing, at a time when the entire country has been caught in the firm grip of the deadly second wave of the pandemic.
Soon after the video was released, people took to Twitter to show what they thought of the incident.

A first-year B Tech student from Kerala’s Thrissur Government Engineering College has invented a mask that comes with a microphone and a speaker to help health workers communicate with ease. Kevin Jacob, a son of two doctors said that he invented the mask after he saw his parents having difficulty communicating with each other.

“My parents are doctors and since the beginning of the pandemic, they have been struggling to communicate with their patients. They found it very difficult to make themselves clear through multiple layers of masks and a face shield. This was when this idea came to my mind," Jacob told ANI.

After designing the first iteration of the mask, he tested it with his parents - Dr Senoj KC and Dr Jyoti Mary Jose. Soon after, the demand for a mask with a microphone and a speaker increased and Jacob started to make more. The mask can be used for up to six hours on a thirty-minute charge and the microphone is attached using a magnet.
"Doctors who have given feedback have said that they don't have to strain to be heard and they were able to communicate with their patients effortlessly. Overall the feedback from users has been positive," he said.
The mask is a true innovation that helps many healthcare workers during their daily battle with COVID-19. Jacob is now looking for companies that can fund his project and help produce the mask on a mass scale.

"I have made over 50 such devices which are being used by doctors mainly in south India. Currently, I do not have the capital or equipment to mass produce these devices. But if somebody or a large company is willing to help me with this little project, I believe it could help a lot of people," he said.
