Recently, an Indian Army Commanding Officer stationed in the Western Sector seeking assistance from Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been called ‘over enthusiastic’ and avoidable despite the good intentions of the official.
The commanding officer wrote a letter to Sonu Sood asking him to help come up with a 200- bed Covid Care Centre at the Jaisalmer Military Station.
However, disapproving his step, a senior Army official said, "It was over-enthusiastic behavior by the officer but the intentions are right and were with an aim to get the facility started at the earliest. But this is not the way and it should not have been done. He should have waited for procurement through government funds. There is no shortfall in public funds.”
© Twitter
In the letter written to Sonu Sood, the officer wrote, "With the limited resources available with us, there is a requirement of additional equipment. The equipment mentioned in the letter, to be provided under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), included 04 ICU beds, 10 oxygen concentrators, 10 jumbo oxygen cylinders (7000 lts), 01 X-Ray machine, and 02 generator sets and 1 KVA."
Major General SB Asthana (Retd), Defence Analysts, said, "The officer followed a procedure which is not as per the traditions in the Army as normally there is no dearth of resources for such requirements.”
He also added that the officer’s intentions were pure.
"Such behaviors can have long term effect as tomorrow a letter could be written to a political figure or the intention might be to gain publicity. Normally the tradition is we approach the senior officers in the hierarchy for additional resources who even have emergency financial powers to meet the emergency requirements,” another officer said.
But, this move led to a lot of flak from people on the internet. Here’s what people have to say about this-
Not just the public, even the Army has lost trust in this government!

Sourav Ganguly is and will always be considered to be one of the bravest Indian cricketers of all time, but when there is a gun pointed at your head, it is perfectly fine to shiver in your boots, and that’s exactly what happened with the former skipper.
In Ian Botham’s Beefy's Cricket Tales, Ganguly spoke about how once during India’s tour of England, he thought he was going to die when he got into a confrontation with a bunch of drunk teenagers.
© Reuters
In the chapter titled ‘Troubles in England,’ he talks about how since the incident, whenever he visits the country, he almost always travels around on his own and does not use the tube or buses.
He says:
“We (Navjot Singh Sidhu and he) got on the tube and set off towards Pinner. In our carriage, there was a group of young teenagers, two boys, and three girls, and they were drinking. We were sitting opposite them and I could see that one of them was looking at us while he was drinking his beer.”
© Reuters
The cricketer says that he knew that one of the guys was trying to get a reaction out of them just to start a fight. Ganguly wanted nothing to do with the kids and even asked Sidhu to remain calm. He picked up the can and quietly put it aside when one of the boys got in Ganguly’s face.
He further describes in the book:
When Sachin Batted With Tissues in Underwear and Sourav Ganguly Was Held at Gunpoint #cricket #cricketfacts https://t.co/rPgBMEVu6f pic.twitter.com/0S4DP6DQ4g
— IPLClub (@my_iplclub) January 10, 2018
“I told him I didn’t say anything, but Sidhu jumped in and confronted him. I knew then that there was going to be some trouble. I took my glasses off and threw them to the floor away from us, and got ready for whatever was to come. There were some punches thrown and, just as we got to a station, I pushed the lad and he fell over. He got up and the next thing I saw was a gun in my face. I thought, 'My gosh, this is it – my life is going to be over here on this train',” he said.
It was at this point that one of the girls, who Ganguly described as “quite big” and “really quite strong” grabbed the guy with the gun and pulled him away.
© Reuters
Understandably, Ganguly concluded by saying:
“I was shaking and obviously very upset, but thankfully my tour and my life were able to continue.”
Nobody knows what could have happened that day if the girl wasn’t there, but as Ganguly went on to become one of the greatest Indian batsmen and captains of all time, an entire nation must indeed feel grateful that she was present at the time.

Most of us have given a new spin to Maggi noodles, especially during the lockdown with more time to experiment.
Be it cheese Maggi or Maggi sprinkled with oregano, some versions worked out for the best. But amid the lockdown, since there was a lot of time to kill, many people went from basic to bizarre.
© iStock
Every now and then, the internet shows us some weird combinations made with Maggi, which made us gag hard.
So, if you think that 'Maggi Pani Puri' was the only bizarre fusion food, here are 7 disastrous Maggi combinations that made us feel downright sick:
1. Chocolate Maggi © Twitter/RahulAdhikari
If there was a way I could unsee this image, I would.
No combination can be worst than mixing Maggi with chocolate. Thank god for my tongue, I never tasted this myself.
This combination legit made someone on Twitter say 'This is the worst form of terrorism'. Totally agree with that.
2. Maggi With Curd © Twitter/acnymph
The moment you read this point and felt nauseous, I felt the same when I looked at this recipe.
This post went viral on Twitter and the user wrote 'Maggi and curd is food for the soul'. OMG!
3. Bizzare Maggi Ladoo © Twitter/Zenia Irani
Never ever try this recipe, I repeat, never. Another unusual edible experiment was turning Maggi into ladoos.
To make this, one needs raw Maggi and other items like jaggery, cardamom powder and butter.
If you like the spicy version (still bearable), they are called 'Maggi pakoras'. Tastebuds are severely confused now.
4. Oreo & Ice-Cream Maggi
The amount of confidence it must have taken for the user to post this is commendable.
Not adding Maggi masala but replacing it with Oreo and ice cream? This has left most people irked now.
5. Maggi In Beer © Twitter/Curlytales
This is a true event, guys! Just when we thought that every type of Maggi recipe has been tried, came another viral video of Beer Maggi.
Delhi's Housefull Cafe faced the wrath of Maggi lovers for putting it in the froth. Users called it the worst version of soupy noodles in a beer mug.
6. Sweet Maggi © Twitter/PinksKitchen
Another weird concoction with Maggi was with milk. Call it sweet Maggi or meethi Maggi, this made everyone squirm with discomfort.
A small snippet of the recipe was shared on the internet and was sarcastically captioned as 'best Maggi recipe'.
7. Maggi With Makki Ki Roti © Twitter/Rishav Sharma
Then there was also Maggi with Makki ki roti. Another deadly combo, this ignited a wave of reactions with people calling it the most unfavourable dish.
The maker of this dish was actually seen dipping the roti in Maggi. One user mentioned 'Surf excel Ka power bhi daal leta thoda'. The anger is justifiable!
Have you tried equally bizarre Maggi combinations? Let us know in the comments section below.

However, the 37-year-old managed to evade the law and continued to hop from one hideout to another with the hopes of not getting caught. In the past couple of weeks, reports of Kumar’s whereabouts sprouted in and around the National Capital Region.
It was believed that Kumar first went to Yoga Guru’s ashram in Haridwar, then Rishikesh, and even Meerut. A picture was captured at the Meerut toll booth in Uttar Pradesh in which the wrestler could be seen sitting in the non-driver’s seat of a white car, which was his first image since his absconsion.

Shaving in the summers can be obnoxiously painful.
© Instagram/kartikaaryan
The skin gets all itchy and irritated, and, in case you tend to sweat a lot, things become even worse.
No matter how good a moisturiser you use, or what household remedies you go for, you simply cannot bear the irritation and the itch.
© Instagram/rajkummar_rao
Even worse, is when you have to deal with a nasty razor burn in the summers.
But does it have to be that way? Absolutely not.
Of, course, you need to follow the right shaving routine, but more importantly, you also need to invest in the right shaving products.
© MensXP
Here are 5 pocket-friendly shaving products that work wonders on your skin, and are just perfect for the summers:
1. MensXP MUD Shaving Cream__ECOMPRODUCT__316__
You’ve got to have your basics in place.
Having a good shaving cream that lathers up easily, and softens up your bristles as well as your skin, is paramount.
Plus, it is an added benefit if your shaving cream also happens to hydrate your skin thoroughly.
Why We Recommend:
· Formulated using all-natural ingredients like cupuacu butter, cocoa & sandalwood extracts
· Lathers up very easily
· Free from parabens, sulphates & other harsh chemicals that may damage the skin
· Has a gentle formulation.
2. Bombay Shaving Company Turmeric Shaving Foam__ECOMPRODUCT__1589__
In case shaving creams seem to be too tedious, and you need something that’s easier to use, this is what you should go for.
It is loaded with elements that act as antioxidants and it has a very creamy texture that makes your razors just glide off of your skin.
Why We Recommend:
· Contains turmeric, sandalwood and Kesar which have great antibacterial properties
· Has a very soothing effect on the skin, especially if you have sensitive skin
· Alcohol, SLE, and paraben-free, meaning an irritation-free shave
· Antiseptic ayurvedic properties of turmeric help reduce redness and blemishes
3. RUSTIC ART Lavender Charcoal Shaving Soap,__ECOMPRODUCT__1590__
A shaving soap, especially a really good one that is soft on the skin, and makes it feel plush, may just as well change how you feel about shaving.
This shaving soap is best suited if you have oily skin, and need something that feels light and rejuvenating on your skin.
Why We Recommend:
· Has sal butter & cold-pressed oils which moisturize and ensures a smooth shave
· Aloe vera & glycerin has a very soothing effect & makes the skin soft post-shave
· Lavender based essential oil has a relaxing fragrance that lasts long
· Lathers up easily and stays.
4. MensXP MUD After Shave Balm__ECOMPRODUCT__307__
You need something for your skin after you’re done shaving.
Now, instead of going for an aftershave that has a strong alcohol content, why not go for something that moisturises your skin, and refreshes, heals and protects your skin against infections, inflammation and irritation?
Why We Recommend:
· Aloe vera & cocoa butter to moisturise the skin
· Ingredients are gentle on the skin & help in soothing irritated skin
· Antiseptic ingredients like tea tree oil treat inflamed skin & prevent razor bumps
· Free from alcohol parabens, sulphates & other harsh chemicals
5. Nishman Iceberg After Shave Care Lotion__ECOMPRODUCT__1591__
People often forget, but you need to moisturise your skin properly after you shave. This is where post-shave lotions come in.
This one by Nishman has a very light and creamy formulation that is soft on the skin while being nourishing and hydrating.
Why We Recommend:
· Has a great fragrance that lasts long.
· Is soft on the skin, and does not sting
· Moisturises your skin and keeps it hydrated for a long time
· Is rich in vitamin E which improves the skin’s elasticity and overall health
The Bottomline…
Shaving in the summers doesn’t necessarily have to be an irritating and itchy experience. Just follow the right routine, invest in some good products that are suitable for your skin, and you’re all good to go.

What’s good for my body, must be just as beneficial for my skin—be it a plant-based diet or exercising, consistently.
This logic is responsible for blurring the line between health and grooming.
As the notion of plant-based skincare is gaining popularity worldwide, our appetite for home remedies is also growing.
On the other hand, the myths like all chemicals are bad or natural products aren’t as effective as their lab-produced counterparts are limiting skincare for many.
But happy groomers bravely explore beyond the mass myths and beliefs and reap benefits, indeed.
With that in mind, we’ve highlighted five of the most important skincare ingredients that are trending and have the potential to become your favourite.
1. CBD Oil (Cannabidiol)The discussion about cannabis, one of the most controversial yet coveted ingredients, has entered the realm of beauty. Thanks to its reported skin benefits.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), marijuana has anti-inflammatory properties. Thus, CBD oil may help reduce inflammatory skin conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis.
Note: Products formulated with CBD oil will not give you the ‘high’ as they don’t contain THC, the chemical responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1585__
2. CicaCica aka Centella Asiatica or tiger grass should be your go-to for calming irritation or stressed out complexions. It works like a charm on sensitive skin. So when you’re worried about breakouts or just need some TLC for your skin, reach out for this comforting blanket.
Not to forget, Cica is already an important part of the K-beauty routine!
__ECOMPRODUCT__1586__
3. Collagen Collagen—both marine and plant-based—is still being pegged as the next big hero ingredient. Largely due to its capability of showing quick results.
Collagen is a protein that naturally occurs in the body and maintains the skin’s structure, smoothness, suppleness, strength and retains water.
The production of collagen declines over time resulting in thinner, dryer and dull skin. This is when consumption of collagen supplements helps restore skin’s health and provides holistic wellness benefits.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1587__
4. NiacinamideIf you’re working from home or spending 6+ hours on a screen every day for any other reason, you should familiarise your skin with niacinamide, another form of vitamin B3.
Tech screens and the sun, both emit blue light that can penetrate the skin and generate reactive oxygen species. These species can damage DNA and cause hyperpigmentation.
Niacinamide can help your skin fight blue light, add radiance and alleviate the appearance the dark spots.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1588__
5. PHAs (Polyhydroxy Acids) © Polyhydroxy Acids
When you think of skincare acids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) surely come to mind. But polyhydroxy acids (PHAs), the new generation AHAs are creating a buzz in the beauty industry now.
Much like AHAs and BHAs, PHAs are chemical exfoliators that help remove dead cells from the skin’s surface and reveal an even-toned, radiant look.
Unlike AHAs and BHAs, PHAs can cater to all skin types including sensitive skin. They offer similar benefits to AHAs but without irritating the skin.
PHAs also provide better moisturisation and help strengthen skin barrier function. Gluconolactone, galactose and lactobionic acid are some of the most popular PHAs.
Keep Up With The Trends!Skincare starts with determining your skin type and choosing products with the right ingredients for its concerns. You must understand that buying random products will do no good.
But now that you know all about the skin care ingredients that are making a buzz in the beauty town and their importance, make sure you add your favourites to the must-try list!

Actor Arjun Kapoor said that his mother never pitted any ill will towards his father, Boney Kapoor. Boney Kapoor was married to Mona Shourie, Arjun’s mother when he got in a relationship with the late actor Sridevi.
In an interview, Arjun Kapoor said that despite all that happened, his mother never spoke ill of Boney Kapoor. However, Arjun reconnected with his dad after the death of Sridevi in 2018.
View this post on Instagram
In an interview, the actor said, "I have had many women shape me consciously or subconsciously. My father was a working man and my mom couldn’t work things out and eventually, he decided to get married again and have another family. I didn’t spend as much time with him. I have always had my nani, my mom and my sister. So I have learned to empathize with the other *** far sooner than other boys would. The maturity that I got is from my mother who taught me to be a certain way."
He also said, "My mom never festered any ill feelings towards my father, even when she had every right to poison us. That’s basically the root of why I’m somebody who’s broad-minded. My mother could have easily told me, ‘Your father has left us high and dry and he has decided to be a certain way'. I don’t remember a day when my mother spoke negatively about my father. That’s where I learnt from. Today, when I have grown up and walk a little bit in my father’s shoes, I understand why I love my father. He, for all his flaws, also has a lot of strength. He is a very lovable man so she loved him.”

He also said that with age, he learned to be more understanding and that he can imagine his parents having gone through certain things that led to separation. He said, "You try and be a good son, because that's what my mother would want," he said.

A couple of days ago, a video went viral showing Ramdev calling allopathy “stupid” and denouncing the numerous medications that have supposedly failed to deliver against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in India.
"Allopathy ek aisi stupid aur diwalilya science hai... (allopathy is such a stupid science)," he could be heard saying in the video.
Till now it was still tolerable but this video by Ramdev has crossed all limits. I am not against Ayurveda but this fraud man is making serious allegations now!Considering the following this bigot has,he is nothing less than a pandemic now ! He should be taught his limits ASAP ! pic.twitter.com/d0twVO4ZNc

Recently, Nikita Panwar, an MBBS intern slammed the yoga guru for his insensitive remarks towards the conventional medical sciences while sharing a picture of herself the proper kit, from her Twitter account:
I am 24,posted in ICU,with 8-10 new mucormycosis cases daily, heavy viral load, risking our lives to save patients & then we see the comments like Baba Ramdev,so much depressing.
We are not money minded like you baba,
We are paid only 12k/month

We are not money minded like you baba, We are paid only 12k/month Have some shame!” she wrote.
On Saturday morning, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) requested the Union Health Ministry to take “serious action” against the 55-year old for trying to mislead hundreds of people with “unlearned” statements against the medical sciences.
The IMA also sent a legal notice to Ramdev for the same, while also asking the ministry to prosecute him under the Epidemic Diseases Act.
IMA HQs Press Release on 22.05.2021 pic.twitter.com/rrc1LXA24n
— Indian Medical Association (@IMAIndiaOrg) May 22, 2021
"In this war-like setting, it has become a passion for people with malicious opportunistic attitude to hit from the back and the medical warriors with their selfish malevolent to boost up their unscrupulous, unprincipled, deceitful, and unpatriotic business fortunes. They pretend to throw mud on modern allopathic medicine but time and again benefited through back door in modern medicine hospitals when they get the disease," IMA wrote.
"In the past too, he has uttered modern medical doctors as murders in the presence of honorable health minister himself on the pretext of the release of his wonder drugs. However, it is well-known fact that said the said yoga guruji and his associate Sri Balakrishna Ji have been taking modern medical allopathy treatment as and when they get into illness. Now to mislead the public at large he is making all false and baseless accusations so that he can sell his illegal and an approved drugs," the medical association alleged.
"Swami Ramdev deserves to be prosecuted for disobeying and cause danger to the life of many by making them believe and make them not to take the advice of allopathy drugs. His quote about Favipiravir as medicine against fever/antipyretic is laughable, childish, and demonstrates his in-depth scientific knowledge," the IMA had said in a press statement.
