    It has been quite some time since we last saw Marvel superheroes like Iron Man, Spiderman, Thor, and co. on the big screens, and well ever since the onset of the pandemic, fans have been waiting to go back to theatres to relish some new superhero action.

    Now, while MCU has wasted no time in expanding its universe to digital platforms with the release of Wanda Vision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and the upcoming Loki series, all eyes are on the new Marvel movies that will carry on the legacy of Iron Man and Captain America on the big screen.

    Well, what is certain to get fans excited are the bunch of action-filled Marvel movies that are slated to be released in theatres in 2021. Here are the movies that will want you to rush back to cinema halls.

    5. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings © Marvel Studios
    Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Shangi-Chi is the first MCU film to center on an Asian lead along with an Asian filmmaking team, with Canadian actor, writer, and stuntman Simu Liu starring as Kung Fu superhero, Shang-Chi.

    Also known as the Master of Kung Fu and Brother Hand, the new superhero will be pitted against his father, the Marvel Supervillain Mandarin, which will be played by Tony Leung.
    Shang-Chi, which was created by writer Steve Englehart and artist Jim Starlin, is said to play a significant role in carrying the Marvel superhero universe forward, and fans will get a chance to finally see his story unravel in theatres on September 3, 2021.

    One of the rather exciting superhero films of the year is Eternals, which is based on the Eternals comic book created by Jack Kirby.

    Directed by Chloe Zhao, the movie will have a group of superpowered beings that have been engineered by the Celestials to harness vast amounts of “cosmic energy.”
    What is most impressive about the film is its star-filled cast which includes the Game of Thrones pair Richard Madden and Kit Harrington, along with Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie.
    The movie is slated to release in theatres on November 5, 2021.

    Scarlett Johansson will once again return to the screens to reprise her role as the athletic, a** kicking vigilante known by the name of Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow.

    Fans will finally be able to see her standalone film to explore her origin story, long before she joined alongside Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America as part of the Avengers.
    The movie, which will also star Rachel Weisz, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and David Harbour, will be released in theatres and on the Disney Plus platform on August 8, 2021.
    2. Venom: Let There Be Carnage © Marvel Studios
    Oh boy! This film is clearly on the watchlist of every superhero fan, regardless of whether one likes the Marvel or the DC universe.

    Tom Hardy will finally return as the super cool, dark, and monstrous anti-villain Venom in Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage.
    Now, as the title suggests, the film will see the introduction of Carnage, one of the most popular supervillains of the Spider-Man universe. The role of Carnage will be played by Woody Harrelson, who will certainly be expected to bring the best out of the character on the big screen.
    Directed by Andy Serkis, Venom 2 will be released on 17 September 2021.
    1. Spider-Man: No Way Home © Comicbook
    We saved the best for the last as the third installment of Tom Holland's Spiderman series is certainly raising a lot of expectations amongst fans.

    While much of the movie has been kept under the wraps for quite some time, the film has been rumored to be a multiverse film (a similar concept to Sony's Into The Spiderverse).
    While Holland remains the star of the show, the film is rumored to bring back, the one and only, the original Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire, in what could be a Spiderman teams up from different universes.
    Jamie Foxx as Electro and Alfred Molina as Doc Ock have already been confirmed for the movie, with MCU's Doctor Strange also said to have an integral role in the film.
    Throw in the rumored involvement of Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Kirsten Dunst into the fray and we might have a blockbuster on our hands that will get fans ecstatic when the film finally releases on December 17, 2021.

    Bollywood actor Salman Khan recently said that his flop movies only make him want to work harder.

    The actor’s latest release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai was released and opened to poor reviews, however, the film was streamed millions of times on ZeePlex.  
    The film was directed by Prabhudeva and was given a cross-platform digital release in India after the cancellation of its theatrical release due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, it is one of the biggest Indian releases to experiment with a pay-per-view model.
    The film was also made available on DTH platforms and played in three theatres in Tripura.

    Now, trade analyst Komal Nahta said in a new video that the fan estimated figure of ₹100 crore opening day revenue is inaccurate. Also, this estimate was only made based on data shared by Zee Studios. According to the data, the film has been streamed over 4.2 million times across all platforms on the day of release.

    He said there are multiple reasons why the revenue is much less than Rs 100 crores. Komal said that the actual number of tickets purchased is much lesser, as every ticket worth Rs 249 is shared by multiple members of the same family.

    He said, “Zee had also allowed new subscribers to watch the film without purchasing a ticket, which means that in this 4.2 million figure, there are people who haven't bought a ticket for Radhe.”

    "Industry standards dictate that with every ticket sold, four-five family members watch the film, so only one-fourth of the 4.2 million are actual tickets sold,” he added.

    He also said that Salman Khan has sold the rights before the film’s release and that Zee has the film for around 10 years. He said, "The estimation that the film could makeover ₹200 crores in the first three or four weeks is not accurate. This isn't the earning, because the ₹80-100 crore that would've come from theatres has been wiped out in an instant. Radhe is by no means a 'break-even film' in the short term, but it could make a profit in the long run.”

    The Uttarakhand High Court on Friday slammed the state government for not ensuring COVID protocols during Kumbh Mela and Char Dham Yatra amid a devastating wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

    The HC also observed that the centre wasn’t paying any heed to the medical needs of people living in remote areas of Uttarakhand.
    The bench of Chief Justice R S Chauhan and Justice Alok Verma reprimanded the Uttarakhand government for giving permission first to Kumbh Mela, and then to Char Dham, and asked to "go and see what is happening".

    The court also said, “Why do we keep causing embarrassment to ourselves.” They also took note of crowd control measures for people traveling for char Dham.

    The bench also said, “You may fool the court, but you cannot fool the people. The reality exists out there. You are playing with the lives of millions of people in the country.”

    The court observed that social media is telling a different story and further observed that nobody was following the crowd control measures in the state. It also advised Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar to take the next chopper to Chardham and find what the reality is after he informed the court about the number of people earmarked to perform duties at each temple.

    The court also said, “Why is it that Uttarakhand is being neglected? Why is it receiving a step-child treatment from the Centre? Even high ranking officials from Uttarakhand posted in the PMO are not responding to the requests and are instead sitting upon the interests of the state."

    “It is as absurd as asking someone who grows wheat not to use his own produce and get it from someone else,” the court added.

    Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been the kind of captain who has always earned the respect of his opposition by playing top-notch cricket, thinking out of the box while behind the stumps for amazing dismissals, and but most importantly, because of the spirit with which he looked at taking on the competition.
    Recently, one of Dhoni’s former India teammates, Robin Uthappa spoke about one such incident when the Ranchi-born decided to set pacer Sreesanth straight in the middle of the game, to ensure the quality of the game is maintained during a match between India and Australia.

    “It was just after the World Cup, and we were playing Australia in Hyderabad. And I think it was either Andrew Symonds who had backed up. And then Sree (Sreesanth) stopped, took the stumps off and goes ‘How is that? How is that?’ So MS came running from there, pulled him and said ‘just go bowl bro’,” Uthappa said on a recent episode of YouTube show ‘Wake Up With Sorabh’. “Someone who actually handled him really well was MS,” added Uthappa.
    However, in recent times, the process of ‘Mankading’ a batsman outside of the crease had been made popular and supported by Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, who did not hold back from dismissing Jos Buttler by ripping off his bails on the non-striker’s end during an IPL 2019 match.

    Although, ever since, Ashwin has decided to give his opponents a fair warning to stay inside the crease until the ball has not left the bowler’s hand. Do it again and the Chennai star will ‘Mankad’ you.

    Coming back to Uthappa’s interview, the wicketkeeper-batsman also spoke about how he along with Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir were given the responsibility to sledge the notorious Aussies while the rest of the Men in Blue were “gentlemen”.

    Uthappa also commended Sreesanth’s incredible return to competitive cricket and lauded how he has managed to keep his deadly pace all this time.

    He would be bowling at around 125 kph now, if he can keep his discipline and keep working on his bowling, he can build up his pace into the 130s and still turn out to be a dangerous bowler,” Uthappa said of the 38-year-old Sreesanth.

    Grand Theft Auto 5 will be finally coming to current-generation consoles i.e, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X at the end of the year. Rockstar confirmed that the game will be launching on both consoles on November 11th.

    As of now, Rockstar has not detailed what changes and upgrades the new version of the game will be offering but the developers say it will be “expanded and enhanced.” If you already own the game, it is unclear how you will be able to upgrade to the new version as of now. Sony has said that it will be free for all PS5 owners exclusively during its first three months of availability. 

    GTA V is one of the best selling types of media of all time and its earnings surpassed even movies, books and all other forms of media. The game debuted for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in 2016 and has been a massive hit across three generations of gaming consoles. Publisher Take Two has said GTA V has sold more than 140 million copies to date. 
    Rockstar is also planning surprises for its player base and said in a press release “this summer's updates to GTA Online will include special benefits for players to take advantage of in these expanded and enhanced versions when they drop. Plus, in honour of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the genre-defining Grand Theft Auto III, we’ll have even more fun surprises to share — including some specifically for GTA Online players.”

    The developer is already giving PlayStation 4 players $1 million in virtual GTA currency at the start of each month until the game's PS5 debut. 

    Grand Theft Auto 5’s upgraded version is expected to offer technical and visual improvements. Players can expect faster loading times and higher resolution textures for now. It may serve as an incentive for fans to upgrade to new hardware even though it’s just an upgraded version of GTA V.

    Remaking popular South Indian movies has been a trend in Bollywood for a while now but, post the success of Ghajini in 2008 and Wanted in 2009, filmmakers have made this their new success formula to score numbers at the box office. There was a brief period after 2009 when the remakes started to rake in low numbers but after the phenomenal success of Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh, directors and producers have started to invest in remakes of popular South Indian movies again.
    We made a list of upcoming remakes of South Indian movies that people have loved and we just hope that they live up to the expectations of the fans.

    After the success of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is set to make a comeback soon as he will be seen stepping into the shoes of a cricketer in the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film Jerse. The Hindi remake will also be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who was the vision behind the original one. The original film had Nani and Shraddha Srinath playing the lead pair with Sathyaraj, Brahmaji, and Ronit Kamra in supporting roles. People loved the original one and we hope that Shahid Kapoor does justice to the character played by Nani.
    2. Vikram Vedha
    Vikram Vedha was received well by the audience and people loved Madhavan as Vikram and Vijay Sethupathi as Vedha. It was appreciated for its portrayal of the good vs evil concept with the backdrop of the classic Vikramadhityan and Vedhalam tale. For the movie, Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan were roped in to play the lead parts but there are reports that the latter is planning to walk out of the movie. We wonder what’s going to happen with this remake.
    3. Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru
    Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, which was released in 2016, opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences. Directed by debutant Karthick Naren,  Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru was highly appreciated for its solid story of a retired cop. The movie will be remade in Hindi and has been titled Sanki.
    According to a report in TOI, Varun Dhawan will be playing the lead in the movie. A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama said, “Sajid Nadiadwala had bought the official rights to the superhit Tamil thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. Sanki is a remake of the same film. They are adapting the screenplay to suit the pan-India platform.” The source added, “It's a cleverly crafted thriller, where Varun Dhawan plays a top cop who loses his leg during one of the investigations. It's challenging for Varun because he plays a character battling a physical handicap for the first time in his career.”

    The original has a rating of 8.3 on IMDB and we hope that Varun and the makers do not disappoint the fans with the Hindi remake. 
    4. Maanagaram Maanagaram starring Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra, and Sri as the leads was a hit at the box office. The story revolves around a young man who moves to Chennai and gets beaten up in a case of mistaken identity. The Hindi remake has been titled Mumbaikar and Vikrant Massey has been roped in for the lead role. The movie also marks Vijay Sethupathi's Bollywood debut. Vikrant also shared the poster of the movie on his birthday this year.  He captioned it, “This birthday is doubly special for me. Thank you for all your heartfelt wishes and love. I’m glad to share with you all, the first look of my next film – #Mumbaikar. Gratitude.”

    Given the fact that the movie did wonders at the box office and for the Hindi remake, we have Vikrant and Vijay in the frame, there will be high expectations. 
    5. HIT The First Case  
    Rajkummar Rao will star in the Hindi remake of the Telugu investigative thriller HIT. The film revolves around a cop in the Crime Investigation Department working in the Homicide Intervention Team, who is on the trail of a missing woman. The original one raked in great numbers at the box office and people might expect the same from the Hindi remake.

    Rajkummar, in a statement, told why he chose to be a part of the remake. He had said, “When I watched HIT, I instantly connected with the story. It’s engaging and relevant in today’s times. As an actor, I am always on the lookout for characters I have not explored before and HIT gives me the chance to do that. I am looking forward to this journey."

    Netflix dropped Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead on Friday and it was almost everything you would expect from an over-used, and almost abused Zombie genre film in 2021. A very basic plot, expected ending, and cliched family conflicts as an excuse for character development.
    *SPOILERS AHEAD* 
    The movie was marketed perfectly. They even had the World Wrestling Entertainment add zombies to their pay-per-view event WrestleMania Backlash and built an entire campaign around a ‘Zombie Tiger’ which - you’ve got to admit - was pretty cool.
    However, what has irked the Indian viewers is the very limited role given to one of our most talented actors, Huma Qureshi, and how she was made a part of almost every trailer of the movie to make her fans feel as if she had a crucial role to play. Many feel that it was nothing more than a stunt to attract more and more viewers from India.

    If you wish to know how important her role truly was to Snyder, you may ask “What exactly happens to her at the very end of the movie, after the helicopter crash?”, because it feels as if the director simply forgot about her and randomly cut her role almost as if she didn’t exist.

    "She was written as an Indian character, and Huma is a really amazing actress, no two ways about it… We talked about who we could get, and the casting director brought her up. I watched some of her material, and I was like, 'this actress is amazing'."
    Having said that, it is rather refreshing to see that an Indian actor is not forced to dawn a fake American accent in order to become more acceptable to the English-speaking fan base.
    Also, when compared to some of the other Indian actors who were made a mockery out of and were only added in the movie for less than five minutes… *looking at you, Anil Kapoor in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol* Qureshi, at the very least, has a fair bit of lines in the movie… if that is something you would be okay settling for.

    In another episode of this happens only in India, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev claims that allopathy is stupid science.

    Yes, in a video that has been going viral on the internet, Baba Ram Dev said, “it is shocking that Remdesvir failed, steroids failed and now plasma therapy has also been banned.”
    He also said, “the medicines doctors are giving patients for getting the fever down such as Fabiflu is not doing any good to them.”
    He also expressed, “we have lost lakhs of people due to allopathic medicines and not due to shortage of oxygen.”

    The Ayurvedic medicine looks like components such as  Giloy (Tinospora codifolio), neem, pepper, ginger, and turmeric was prepared by a large number of workers for corona positive patients.

    Mr. Anandaiah, who is distributing it free of cost to the people, is the mastermind behind this. In some cases, the same preparation is given as an immunity booster to people impatiently waiting for their turn to get vaccinated.
