Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi asking for a ban on the upcoming release of ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’. For the uninitiated, Krafton is relaunching an India iteration of PUBG Mobile with no ties to Chinese gaming company Tencent next month which has already drawn scepticisms from key stake holders. So much so, Krafton itself has asked content creators not to refer to ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ as PUBG Mobile in fear of getting banned again.

However, multiple politicians are already asking the Indian Government to take action against the game for valid privacy and national security reasons.

Now, Paras Singh, an YouTuber who has a channel by the name “Paras Official” has been charged for racist remarks against Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering. He posted a video on Sunday where he called Congress MLA Ninong Ering a "non-Indian" and apparently claimed the "state was a part of China.” Singh made comments reacting to the letter by Mr Ering who sought a ban on the upcoming Battle Royale game.
Singh said in a now deleted video “Mujhe to nahi lagtha yeh (Ering) Indian hai (I don’t think he is an Indian)” while pointing out at the MLA’s profile picture on Twitter. The content creator then asked his viewers to check if Ering looked Indian and then proceeded to search for Arunachal Pradesh on a map. He then addedd, “Arre yaar yeh (Arunachal) to China ki side me hai (guys this is on China’s side)” and adds, “yeh China walon ka hi hai (It belongs to the people of China)” before saying “ek tarah se unhi k saath hi hai halka fulka touch hota hai, India me aata hai (in a way they are with them, (Arunachal is with China), touches India a little).”

While speaking to EastMojo, Ering said the comments made by Singh have not hurt him personally. He also added that “he is free to point out mistakes if any, but the racist remarks are serious and something which needs re-thinking.”

The Arunachal Pradesh government has now filed a case against Singh for his racial remarks against the MLA. "A case has been registered against Paras for racial hatred and the cybercrime branch in Itanagar is investigating the matter," DGP R P Upadhyaya said.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu condemned the racial slur on Twitter and said that the "video aims at inciting ill will and hatred towards the people of Arunachal Pradesh.”
Singh has now posted a new video apologising for his comments.

When people accept their bodies and proudly flaunt them on social media, it is a great moment indeed which serves as inspiration and motivation to a lot of people.
For Elliot Page, it is a little bit more special.
    © Instagram/elliotpage
Elliot Page posted his first shirtless photograph on Instagram, which practically broke the internet.

The comments section of his post, was clearly envious of the toned abs that they displayed. People just couldn’t stop praising his lean and muscular physique, and appreciate the hard work that Elliot must have put in.
    © Instagram/elliotpage
Starting from Oprah Winfrey to Miley Cyrus, celebrities from all over the world, just couldn’t stop thirsting over the image, and the confidence that Elliot exudes. This included some really notable bodybuilders as well.

To understand why this is important, one has to consider Page’s history. Having come out first as a homosexual in 2014, and then finally as a trans person, Page transitioned from Ellen to Elliot in December 2020.

He is the first openly trans man to have been featured in the TIME Magazine, which, given its socio-political ramifications, is a huge step forward for the LGBTQI movement.
    © Instagram/elliotpage
While many guys struggle to get a set of decent looking 6 pack abs while they are working out at the gym, Elliot managed to get a damn impressive 8 pack.

Elliot has been very vocal as an activist for trans rights, and he often takes to Instagram to put up videos highlighting the issues faced by trans people.
Earlier this month, he appeared on The Oprah Conversation on Apple TV and spoke extensively on the subject.

Coming back to the photo he put up, as we said, people just can’t help but thirst over it.

    Even Oprah couldn’t resist.

But most importantly, it was people like these that must have put a smile on Elliot’s face.

Again, back to the thirst comments.

It really is a proud moment for trans rights activists and for trans people, that a trans man is being celebrated for a change, for just being.

Tiger 3, the latest upcoming installment of Salman Khan's Tiger franchise, looks to be another action-packed film that will involve India's foreign agency RAW once again come up against Pakistan's premier intelligence agency ISI.
    © IMDB
What is even more fascinating for Sallu Bhai fans is that this film will welcome the addition of actor Emraan Hashmi, who will join the superstar roster that already includes Salman and Katrina Kaif.

    © Pinkvilla
    © Netflix
We hear that one of the most exciting things about this film will be that Emraan Hashmi's character, who is an ISI agent, will be pitted against Salman Khan's Tiger, who is a RAW official.
One can only see sparks fly when these two actors share the screen together and have an ultimate RAW-ISI face-off.
    © Deccan Chronicle
According to a trade source speaking with Pinkvilla, Emraan will be a more than worthy opponent for Salman in the film.

"Emraan Hashmi plays the role of a Pakistani agent, who is pitted against RAW official, Tiger, played by Salman Khan. It's essentially Tiger vs Tiger, as the ISI describes Emraan as Pakistan's answer to Tiger aka. Avinash Singh Rathod. If you heard the late actor Girish Karnad, say, ‘yeh kaam sirf ek admi kar sakta hai, Tiger’ it’s time to be introduced to the toughest and the only person who can play a nemesis to Tiger – ISI agent, Emraan Hashmi.”
    © Pinkvilla
Emraan, who in March started shooting for his part in the film, will play a character who is said to be street smart, stylish and someone who can really get into an ideological battle with Salman's Tiger.

“His (Emraan's) look is also far off from the negative leads we have seen. In fact, it’s as stylish as it gets,” said the source.

If you followed Bigg Boss 14, you might have loved Eijaz Khan’s and Jaan Kumar Sanu’s equation. The former was always found sharing his passion for workout to the latter.

Seems like Sanu has been listening like a good student because months after the show ended, he followed Khan’s steps and underwent a major transformation, as promised by him on the show.

The young singer has now lost a few pounds and is unrecognisable. He shared his impressive body transformation on his social media account and thanked Khan for always pushing him to get in shape.

He posted the vest given to him by his co-contestant on the show, Eijaz Khan as a target to fit in and in the next slide, he shared a picture of himself wearing that vest.

He wrote in the caption, “Back in Bigg Boss, @eijazkhan E-Man made a Vest-Poster for me during a singing task, and @gauaharkhan stamped it with a cute little kiss (you can see the lipstick mark inside the heart still 🥰🥳). I'd promised E-Man and Gauahar I'd fit into the vest one day and wear it for a concert one-day. 6 months down the line I've never felt fitter and I did what I promised. Swipe to see 🏻”

He added, “Thank you Eijaz Bhai for harassing me and pushing me hard during those workouts in the BB house. I still have the Vest with me and I'm waiting for my first gig after lockdown. I promised and I will wear it.”

We are sure Eijaz Khan and Gauahar Khan both will be immensely proud of him too.

Money Heist took over the world with its gripping content in 2017, but who knew this show three years later would be one of the most-watched shows globally?
One of the main reasons why Money Heist is so prevalent is because of the Professor's character, immortalised by Alvaro Morte.
After some power-packed performances, the show is all set to make a comeback with the end of the heist in Season 5. Netflix finally announced the release date with a heart-thumping teaser on Monday.

A lot of Indians have been toying with the possibility of a desi version of Money Heist

It was Ayushmann Khurrana who sent out this thought last year, portraying the Professor's look. The Internet went gaga over this idea and re-imagined several stars to play Álvaro's role.

Now, it's Virat Kohli's photo sporting long hair, a thick beard and glasses that's going viral.

Virat is known for his domination on the field, but the cricketer never lays low in terms of style. The 32-year-old is making headlines for his quarantine look, and some desi fans are saying he is all set to essay the role of the Professor in the Indian version of Money Heist.

As the picture went viral on Twitter, some fans assumed that this was his look for the match between India and New Zealand at the Rose Bowl, Southampton.

Last February, the Indian government announced a set of guidelines and rules that social media platforms, news websites and OTT services such as Netflix, Prime Video and others will have to follow.
The new rules are set to come into effect in a day and social media giants like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have not complied with any of the rules yet.
According to NDTV, sources say that if the companies fail to follow the rules, their intermediary status could be ended and might be subjected to criminal action.
    © Reuters
"Though they claim the protection of being an intermediary they exercise their discretion to also modify and adjudicate upon the content through their own norms without any reference to Indian Constitution and laws," NDTV’s sources said.

In case you were wondering about the rules in detail, you can check our feature to know more.

The rules entail organisations appoint compliance officials based in India and providing details such as their names and contact address in India. The affected portals will also have to implement a complaint resolution service, monitor objectionable content, file compliance reports and remove offensive content when asked.
    © dole777-unsplash
The new rules will also have an oversight mechanism that will include representatives from ministries of Defence, External Affairs, Home, I&B, Law, IT and Women and Child Development. The committee will have "suo motu powers” and call hearings on complaints on the violation of the Code of Ethics.

The new rules come into effect on May 25th, and no company, except for one, has appointed any such officials. Some companies have asked for an extension on the deadline while others are waiting for instructions from their headquarters in the US.

"These companies are working in India, making profits from India but wait for a green signal from the headquarters to follow guidelines," NDTV’s sources said.
Some companies like Twitter use their own fact-checkers who can neither be identified nor reveal how the facts are being investigated.

A controversy sparked off after Baba Ramdev claimed that medicines such as remdesivir approved by the Drugs Controller General of India for coronavirus treatment had failed. “Lakhs of patients have died because of allopathic medicines rather than a shortage of oxygen,” he claimed.
On Saturday, in a session, he called Allopathy a ‘stupid science’ and attacked all the methods that allopathy uses to treat the deadly virus.

After his statements were heavily criticized, he had to take down this video from his account.
He, then, posed 25 questions related to some of the most common diseases and asked for their solution and treatment in the allopathy and pharma industry. He said that there’s no permanent a solution that allopathy can provide.

Just yesterday, he was asked to come on board for a live session on AajTak with IMA’s Dr. Jayesh Lele and things took a dramatic turn after Baba Ramdev and Dr. Lele got into a verbal war.

Dr. Lele slammed him for his statements and told him not to use the news platform to advertise his medicine Coronil.
Here’s a clip of the live session where Ramdev Baba was snubbed by Dr. Lele and it has been going viral.

The owner of the fashion label Louis Vuitton, and all its subsidiaries, Bernard Arnault, recently pipped Jeff Bezos as the world’s richest man.
This is the second instance after tech mogul Elon Musk, that someone has challenged Bezos’ stake to the title.
    © Wiki Commons
Arnault and his family own LVMH a Paris based French multinational corporation that owns and controls some of the most sought after luxury goods labels.

These include the likes of Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon, Fendi, Givenchy, Hublot, Bulgari, Gucci, Christian Dior & one of their most notable purchases of late, Tiffany & Co.
    © Wiki Commons
As of writing this piece, Arnault’s wealth stands at $186.2 Billion, just over a hair over Bezos’ $186 Billion. It is expected that Bezos’ net value will go on top again, within a day.

    © Reuters
LVMH reported first-quarter revenue of €14 billion in 2021, which surged by 32% as compared to the first quarter of 2020.

The surge in revenue could be primarily attributed to the surge of shopping sprees in parts of the world where the concern over COVID seems to be receding.
    © Reuters
These include certain markets in Europe and North America, but it is mainly fueled by China.

The fashion conglomerate recorded revenue of €44.7 billion in 2020, despite the fact that many reputable labels and boutiques had to shut shop because of the pandemic.
    © Wiki Commons
The reason why LVMH was able to survive through the global turmoil, as opposed to a number of their competitors, was that they decided to get into manufacturing masks, PPE kits and hand sanitisers at their perfumeries, at a very crucial point in time.

    © LVMH
Earlier this year, Tesla’s Elon Musk had pipped Bezos as the world’s richest, when his net worth surged to an unprecedented $193 Billion.

Ever since then, it has slipped gradually, mainly because of his antics on Twitter.
As of writing this article, the Forbes real-time billionaires tracker puts him at number 3, with a net worth of $152.5 Billion.
    © Reuters
If you’re worried about Bezos for some bizarre reason, don’t be. Market experts speculate that this is just an aberration and that Bezos should be back on top by the end of the day.

As for Musk and his core fans, well, he needs to lay off of social media for a bit.
