Remember the “Disaster Girl”? The photo that was used in countless memes on Reddit and every social media website possible? Well, the original photo was sold as an NFT auction and made $500,000 or Rs 3,70,63,750 worth of Ether. The girl in the picture that went viral in 2005 is now a 21-year-old college student who probably never thought her picture would be worth so much money.

The viral image was captured by her father, David Roth, in their neighbourhood while watching local firefighters working. The picture was eventually entered in a contest and won. The photo was quickly noticed by the Internet and the meme of the “Disaster Girl” was born. Roth plans to use the money made from NFT for college and make donations to charity.

This is not the first time an old meme was sold for huge amounts of money. The artist behind the Nyan Cat sold the original picture as an NFT for $605,000 earlier this year. Even Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey sold his first-ever tweet for almost $3 million. If you weren’t aware, NFT has now become a method to make a vast amount of money. Even music producers and artists like Deadmau5, Grimes, 3Lau, Jacques Greene, Tory Lanez and Kings of Leon are selling their music as NFT.

NFT or non-fungible token is basically a unit stored on a blockchain that certifies items as digital assets that are unique and hence making them non-interchangeable. NFTs are mostly used to represent digital files such as images, audio, video and other forms of digital media. Access to the original file is not restricted to the buyer however NFTs are tracked on blockchains to provide the owner with proof of ownership that is not the same as obtaining copyright.

Believe it or not, but Allu Arjun’s dance moves are as dope as his sense of style.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock and have never explored Indian cinema, outside of Bollywood, you will know that Allu Arjun is one of the best dancers we have ever had.
    © Instagram/alluarjunonline
People normally associate Shahid Kapoor & Hrithik Roshan as the best dancers we have. Trust us when we say this - Allu Arjun is in a league of his own. He’s certainly just as good as them, if not better.
    © Instagram/alluarjunonline
And, given that style and fashion are major weapons in his cinematic arsenal, it shouldn’t be a surprise that his dance numbers are also often some of the best-styled music videos out there. We take a look at 6 music videos from his films, where his style was just as fiery and dope as his dance moves.

    1. Buttabomma - Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo
Allu Arjun really taught us how to dress up casually for the summer, using this music video. From dark coloured to floral prints, to light coloured ones, there were some really dope looking outfits ideas in the song. We also live how the suspenders were styled in the song.
    2. Seeti Maar - DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham
If this was a ranked list, this music video would take the first spot for a number of reasons. Allu was simply phenomenal in this video. Trust us when we say, the Hindi version of the song, that has been featured in Radhe, does not hold a candle. Apart from stunning dance moves, we see Allu Arjun in his stylistic best. The sheer variety of outfits and the way they have been styled is very impressive.
    3. Lover Also, Fighter Also - Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India
Once again, Allu Arjun’s dance moves in this song were just out of this world. The styling in this song was, again, something really commendable. In terms of street outfits, and athleisure outfits, the sheer number and the aesthetics of the outfits were mind-boggling. This definitely is a video to draw a lot of inspiration from.
    4. Cinema Choopistha Mava -  Race Gurram
We just love when Indian actors perform a dance number in a properly tied dhoti, and a well-fitting kurta - trust us, nothing comes close to this. In this music video, Allu has a very dope-looking Yellow Kurta, and a red coloured dhoti, which, look awesome. Yes, the video has been shot like a spoof or a comical piece, but nonetheless, as far as the outfit is concerned, it looks dapper.
    5. Top Lesi Poddi
If you have ever wondered what sort of energy does Allu bring to a movie set, this is the one video that you need to watch. As energetic as his dance moves are, his outfits, too, are on fire. Starting from using some very unorthodox colours, such as yellow pants, to using dupattas as accessories, the styling in this song is just awesome.
    6. Ramuloo Ramulaa
The outfits for this music video may look very understated at first glance, but they’re again epically styled. We especially like the tapori-like aesthetic that Allu went for. The white shirt, and sneakers, went really with the light washed jeans. We also loved how, for that outfit, he used a printed scarf as a handkerchief, and used it to enunciate his dance moves. That was a genius style move.
    The bottom line…
It shouldn’t be a surprise when we see people going crazy over the next Allu Arjun release. He clearly is one of the best dancers, and also one of the best style icons we have in Indian cinema. Think we might have missed some of his best-styled music videos, in this list? Let us know in the comments below.

Anushka Sharma never fails to amaze us with her acting chops. She has often taken up meaningful and meaty roles and has received rave reviews for her performance. Recently, her audition clip from her early days has gone viral. She made her debut in Bollywood, in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

While she received a lot of appreciation for her debut, the actress had actually auditioned for a different movie. Her old audition video was for Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots. This was posted by a fan club on Instagram recently.
    View this post on Instagram

Though Anushka didn't make the cut for Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots, he later said yes for PK, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Aamir Khan. Rajkumar and Anushka worked again together for Sanju, a movie based on Sanjay Dutt's real life. Ranbir Kapoor played the lead role in this movie.
Before the release of PK, Anushka had unveiled in a video that she did audition for a movie in 2007 and the movie was 3 Idiots. No one knows it, no one has seen the video, not even Raju Sir.

When the filmmaker was asked the same, even he said that Anushka never auditioned for 3 Idiots. Anushka then showed the clip to the filmmaker as well as Aamir Khan. In the video, one can hear Anushka enacting the dialogue from Munnabhai MBBS, which was played by Sanjay Dutt in the movie. In the video, we can then see all of them laughing as they watch the clip on a laptop.

As for PK, Anushka essayed the role of a journalist and Aamir Khan was seen as an alien. The movie is based on illogical religious beliefs and the blind faith of people.

Anushka was last seen in Zero, opposite Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan but the movie tanked at the box office. She also has her production house and some of the projects include Bulbul and Paatal Lok. Even Babil Khan's debut movie is produced under Anushka's banner titled Qala.

These are dark, dark times in the history of India as the country battles under the tight grip of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

No one could have imagined such a scenario where the citizens of the country would be forced to cater to their own needs, be it in hunting for hospital beds, medicines, oxygen cylinders, plasma, and other hospital supplies.

With India registering yet another record high 3,86,000 cases on Friday (April 30), the country's health care system is struggling to have the resources to treat people, leading to many losing their loved ones without even having a chance to be next to them in their last moments.

In such a heartbreaking scenario, Doctor U. H. Faisal tries to do her bit by being at the bedside of a dying patient in order to provide some comfort to them.
‘I at least try to sit at their bedside, making it a little easier for them to pass away with someone next to them.’

Doctor U. H. Faisal says on most days she sits by the bed of her dying patients to comfort themhttps://t.co/gKRw389wac pic.twitter.com/usbStsU6MO
    — ITV News (@itvnews) April 29, 2021
"It’s already really bad to be dying all alone on a hospital bed away from your family members, so on most days when I cannot do anything else for the patient, I at least try to sit at their bedside making it a little easier for them to pass away with someone next to them."

"I don’t know if it makes sense but I do hope that it provides them comfort in some way," said Dr. Faisal, while speaking to ITV News.
She also explained how the current Covid-19 crisis has had a physical as well as a mental impact on health care workers, who have been forced to stay away from their families in this traumatizing scenario.
"I feel really exhausted after each and every shift and it worries me that I cannot go home, back to my parents because I might be taking home the infection to them."
"I feel helpless at times because of the fact I know that this is not getting over anytime soon. The virus has reached even the small towns and cities of our country. It saddens me to see so many young people dying." she said.
New Delhi is one of the cities that has been most affected by the crisis with the national capital battling to provide oxygen and other supplies to ailing patients.
    © Twitter
Dr. Manish Jangra, who has been treating patients at one of the hospitals in the capital, also expressed his helplessness of watching people die in and out of hospitals.

"Yesterday, I went to the trauma center in my hospital and there were two people who were crying very badly because they lost their relative and I was also crying from inside of my heart."
"Even doctors are feeling very helpless. Being a doctor I am feeling helpless seriously. I cannot save our country and I am not able to save our country because our resources are limited."
"In most of the hospitals of Delhi oxygen is very limited. Oxygen is not being supplied, it is the responsibility of the government only, this is not the responsibility of the doctors and people are waiting on the doctors."
"This is a very sad scenario. Please help us. We are seriously helpless. We want to save our public. We cannot see our people dying." said the doctor.

Samsung is currently the only smartphone maker that has been able to launch a commercially-viable foldable devices: two, to be precise. The Korean giant has been showing off its folding screens for a while and we then got to see the Galaxy Fold and Z Flip models enter the market soon after. The company launched two designs where one used a clamshell folding design and another that opened up like a book.
    © LetsGoDigital
This year, Samsung is expected to launch two foldable devices that will be successors to the two aforementioned models. However, Samsung is now looking to replace its Note series with foldable devices in 2021 and some say that an even more exciting foldable product is in the works. New leaks detail that Samsung is working on foldable devices with two hinges and three display parts. The device can function both as a smartphone and a tablet.

By folding up the display, you can use this device as a traditional smartphone however if you require more screen real estate, you can unfold the device for a larger screen. Some are even calling this device the Galaxy Z Fold Tab due to its hybrid nature. As of now there is no news when Samsung is going to be launching this product but some leaks say very soon.
    © LetsGoDigital
Samsung recently filed for a Samsung “S-Foldable” trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO). The filing was discovered by LetsGODigital and prompted them to design a prototype based on leaks. It is worthy to point out that this is not a patent filing and more so a trademark that indicates Samsung will be using the tagline in the future to market its products.

The “S-Foldable” nomenclature is quite indicative of what the products might be as it clearly states the folding nature of the product. In the trademark filing, Samsung says it will be using the term for “display panels; display for smartphones; LCD large-screen displays; flexible flat panel displays for computers.”
    © LetsGoDigital
Many leaks say that the new trademark might be used for the new rumoured foldable device that will come with a double hinge. Whether this will be the dual foldable Galaxy Z Fold Tab remains to be seen. However one thing is for sure, Samsung is going all-in on foldable devices and betting its smartphone future on the next frontier of display innovation.

Nawazzudin Siddiqui is one of the few actors who defined OTT for us. Although he was a part of the Bollywood industry before the digital platforms, he rose to fame after the release of Sacred Games. He has certainly proved his mettle, in both Bollywood as well as OTT platforms.
    © Instagram/Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Amid the pandemic, people are consuming a lot of entertainment, in the comfort of their home. With cinema halls being shut, most of the movies are now releasing on these platforms. Recently, in an interview, when Nawazuddin was asked if OTT has reached its saturation point, he had a solid answer to it.
    © Instagram/Nawazuddin Siddiqui
He rather agreed and said "Yeh toh hai, bohot zyaada ho raha hai. There is a lot of content. Ultimately, after some time, it will settle down. Abhi dhool udd rahi hai, settle ho jaayegi. Also, both mediums, films and web will work together.”

He further elaborated on this matter and also spoke about the quality of these platforms. He mentioned "Quality toh damage hui hai, in a very bad way. People want to watch content, and good acting, it can’t be that you give them just about anything, or take some star. It won’t be a hit. The audience on OTT is different, they want to watch good content.”
    © Instagram/Nawazuddin Siddiqui
He also spoke about nudity and abusive language, which has been a part of OTT platforms. To this, Siddiqui added, "To abuse just for the sake of it, or add ***, voh toh theek nahi hai.”

Not only Sacred Games but Nawazuddin gave back to back hit post the show, including Raat Akeli Hai and Serious Men.
When asked about how important a role has OTT played in his career, he added, "OTT pe karna… hum toh who box office mein bhi kar lein. But we need to get screen space for that. Agar 5000 screens pe kutte-billi ke picture bhi release kar do, uska bhi first day collection will be 20-30 crores. It’s said that there’s a public’s actor, and the other is an industry’s actor. People want to watch public’s actor because they aren’t getting screens. If you give them 700-800 screens and expect they also earn 20 crores, that’s impossible. If you give any film of mine 5000 screens, I will show you how 20-30 crore collections happen. The public wants to watch actors like us, but we need to reach there in the first place. It is not only about OTT or other things. If you give us screens, our work will be seen there as well.”

On the work front, Nawazuddin would be seen in Jogira Sara Ra Ra, which is slated to release this year.

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, most workplaces switched to a work-from-home model that has been a hot topic for work-life balance debates. However, for companies like Google, it seems like it is the most profitable move they’ve made in years. A new report by Bloomberg estimates that the search engine giant saved more than $1 billion last year thanks to the new shift in the workplace.
    © Unsplash/pawel-czerwinski
Google’s parent company Alphabet saves $268 million (around Rs 1,987 crores) in expenses such as travel, entertainment, and company promotions. Given that the quarterly savings is about $268 million; it brings the annual savings to more than $1 billion. Alphabet also said in its annual report that the company saved money in advertising and promotional expenses by $1.4 billion in 2020. Google said in a company filing that the savings were “primarily a result of Covid-19.”

To put things into perspective, Google has over 1.3 lakh employees all over the world as per a report by Statista. Google is known for offering perks to its employees in the form of massage tables, catered cuisine and fun corporate retreats. Since most Google employees are working from home for over a year, costs related to employee welfare were reduced.
Since the search engine giant saved so much money, the company offset the costs by hiring thousands of new workers. The company also managed to keep its administrative costs low for the first quarter even though the company increased its revenue by 34 percent.

The new work-from-home model was so successful for Google, that Alphabet CEO, Sundar Pichai said the company is now looking to implement a 'hybrid’ work model that will extend the current work style to people who prefer it. The new model is said to allow convenience to employees who do not want to commute to work for hours.

Having said that, knowing that Google saved $1 billion dollars last year by switching workplace models, its donation of $18 million towards the COVID-19 crisis in India now seems measly. In fact, many from India criticised the company for sending aid in the form of monetary benefits instead of supplies that the country desperately needs.
