When made properly, and shot beautifully, action movies especially those about assassins and hitmen can be pretty awesome. Want an example? Just take a look at how the John Wick series did at the box office, and on streaming services

While action films in general work well if they are shot beautifully, movies about hitmen and assassins are just a little bit tricky.
    © Lionsgate
We take a look at a few movies that revolve around assassins and hitmen, which redefined the genre, and are great fun to watch.
    © Universal Pictures
    No Country For Old Men

No Country For Old Men doesn’t have those physical action sequences that we normally associate with an action flick. However, the action is more explosive, very realistic. It challenged the audience to pay attention and put things together. That is why it is fun to watch, as well as genre defining. And if that wasn’t enough, it won a bunch of Oscars.
The Bourne Identity & The Bourne Ultimatum
While all of the Jason Bourne films are great fun to watch, and proper, edge-of-the-seat action flicks, the Bourne Identity and the Bourne Ultimatum are just a little bit special. Even if you don’t watch the entire series of films, you simply cannot afford to miss these two.
    John Wick Series
There are a ton of things to enjoy in all three John Wick films. Apart from Keanu Reeves’ performance, we also get a very intricately made story, tons of details, and some of the most beautiful action choreography. Also, as opposed to most films in Bollywood and Hollywood, the action sequences, especially regarding guns, is very accurate. We highly recommend you watch all three, and in order, John Wick, John Wick: Chapter 2, & John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
    Assassin’s Creed
This is more of your regular, physical, super explosive, great CGI action flick. The story is also great if you’re aware of the Assassin’s Creed video game series. But more than anything else, it is the visuals of the film that bind you. This is one of the best films to have been shot in 2016.
    Leon The Professional
Remember Bobby Deol & Rani Mukherjee-starer Bichhoo? This is the film that inspired it and trust us, it is far, far better than the Hindi remake. The action sequences are much better, and the gunfights are way more interesting. Plus, you don’t see that forced romantic connection that Bollywood movies just can’t seem to survive without.
    Agent 47
The movie Hitman was a disaster, although it had great potential. Agent 47 was an attempt to reintroduce the character. The film has some truly breathtaking action sequences, and some ingenious shootout and gunfight sequences. This is a properly entertaining and fun watch, if you ask us.
The Bottom line…We’re pretty sure that most of you have seen some film or the other about assassins. Trust us when we say that these are some of the films on hitmen that you simply can’t miss.
Think that we missed out a movie that should be on the list? Do let us know in the comments below.

There are workplaces that truly exploit their employees, and then there are workplaces that set the benchmarks when it comes to employees’ welfare programmes.
    © Borosil India
In a move that should be a lesson to all major corporate houses across the world, Borosil has announced that they will be paying the complete salaries to the dependant of their employees for two years if they succumb to COVID-19.
    © AFP
Borosil’s Managing Director, Shreevar Kheruka, took to Linkedin to announce that having lost 4 vital employees, Borosil decided to implement this policy. They also announced that the education of the children in such families, will also be taken care of, till the time they graduate.

A statement from our Managing Director @ShreevarKheruka https://t.co/j5MKigEbns
    — Borosil (@Borosil) April 30, 2021
This may come as a surprise to some, but not all workplaces provide demise compensations. Some of them, who do provide such compensations, have a number of terms & conditions in place which allow them to not have to pay anything.
Barring the two years-salary part, what is really commendable is the fact that Borosil India has set out to pay for the education of all children from the families of afflicted employees.
Although a few people on Twitter were a little sceptical about this thinking that this may be a PR stunt, by and large, people supported this and hoped that other workplaces would implement something similar.
I hope it's not an eyewash. Many companies pay more than this as part of policy. And I hope education includes higher/professional education in any stream and any college and not just until formal mainstream graduation in a govt/regular college.
    — RC (@RupesChoudhury) May 1, 2021A good initiative Respect to you. I dont think everybody can do this so we cannot expect others to carry out the same. Still, a huge respect to Borosil management. #Borosil pic.twitter.com/YyLfCBXn50
    — BB4U (@BB4U5) May 1, 2021Maximum MNCs and IT Companies have a term plan of their every employee for 200% of their current CTC. Now Gov can make it mandatory for every worker in all industries to make sure the suffering families can survive in coming years.
    — shashi singh (@shashisingh2005) May 1, 2021A ray of hope for the bereaved families
An example rightly set by Borosil India! Hope others take a cue from such goodwill gestures.

    — Ashwin (@msrashwinz) May 1, 2021We genuinely applaud Borosil, and all other companies, who have implemented such policies, and hope that others start planning to take the same route.

We have said this before, and we will say it again - sneakerheads are some of the craziest people on earth.
    © AFP
We know some sneakerheads and hypebeasts are ready to pay top money for their favourite, one-off, designer pair of sneakers but at some point, we have to ask ourselves how much would we be willing to spend on a pair of shoes.
    © VegNonVeg
Recently, Sotheby’s, the American auction house, sold a prototype of Yeezy sneakers that Kanye West designed, made and wore for the 2008 Grammy’s for about $ 1.8 Million. The previous record was for a pair of Air Jordan 1s from Nike, signed by Michael Jackson which were sold for $560,000, or roughly Rs 3.01 Crores.
    © Sotheby’s
The sneakers are a rare breed of Yeezys and therefore attracted a higher price. First of all, it is a prototype, meaning that it is a one-off. Secondly, these were designed by Kanye himself, and a coveted sneaker designer named Mark Smith. Finally, they were actually publicly worn by Kanye, for his performance at the 2008 Grammy’s.
    © AFP
Another reason why the sneakers were so expensive was because these pairs were made for Nike, back when Kanye had partnered with the sportswear brand. It was in 2013, that Nike & Kanye split up, and Kanye took his brand to Adidas. The sneakers are called the Nike Air Yeezy 1s.
    © Sotheby’s
Coming back to the sneakers, they are made of black leather, are a size 12 and have a Yeezy forefoot strap and the brand's signature “Y” medallion lace locks in pink.

Twitter, of course, couldn’t handle the news. Having said that, there were some pretty hilarious reactions:-
    We doubt if that’s legal...
For this price you can have the factory and the workers to build this pair of shoes in 10000 copies!
    — Eloi le Vermilor (@LeVermilor) April 26, 2021Ok I love sneakers just like the next person but this is R25.6 million! pic.twitter.com/2LJ3VzSpci
    — Lol'popu (@LollyMkunqwana) April 27, 2021 If you come to think of it, this is kinda true...
nah these are terrible... clearly a copy of AF1 outsole with spizike and AJ20... they just LOOK knockoff .... also props to whoever made off with 1.8 mil they laughing to the bank
    — Skillz (@culturesupplyr) April 27, 2021 Given how unpredictable and eccentric he is, we won’t be surprised if this is true.
Did Kayne buy them back himself just to make headlines?
    — tête du beurre (@Butter1up) April 26, 2021"SOLD TO THE GUY WITH THE WEIRD FOOT-FETISH!"
    — B__nish (@beenish__ali) April 27, 2021Say what you will about the rich and how they choose to spend their money, this just goes on to show, just how crazy people are about Kanye West, Yeezy’s and sneakers. Kanye’s rise to the status of a billionaire, has been primarily, because of his label Yeezy.

Like we said in the beginning, sneakerheads and hypebeasts can be crazy at times.

Yuzvendra Chahal is not the first name that comes to mind when we think about athletes who are built like trucks. He is skinny, with not a lot of muscle mass around his biceps, legs, chest, or back.
For where the Instagram-driven audience has gotten used to seeing a ripped “washboard” set of abs, the spinner has got a flat stomach and let’s just say wearing a tight t-shirt might not solve the purpose of popping out veins in his arms.
    View this post on Instagram
And you know what the best part is? Chahal actually knows and is completely fine with the way he is! He is willing to make fun of himself (although, there’s nothing wrong with it) just for the sake of his friends, family and fans.
With the end of the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings, Chahal could be seen standing next to the big and burly Chris Gayle who is known to have one of the most imposing physiques in international cricket at the moment.
Yuzi has some serious flex pic.twitter.com/VK2ssgbmYS
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) May 1, 2021
As the two men take off their shirts and pose for the camera, a sense of confidence can be seen on both their faces but for very different reasons. While Gayle is proud of all the work that he has put in to become this massive and keep fit, Chahal seems calm with just how he is.
Yes, there were some obvious trolling remarks like “look how skinny”:
Aila blood donation is requested :)
    — Mansoor Alam (@mmansooralam007) May 1, 2021Chris can eat him up for dinner
    — Maxdeepmax (@TheSambhav) May 1, 2021I have a chiti haathi joke
    — Abhay Tripathi (@at8Abhay) May 1, 2021 However, it was rather refreshing to see how so many people looked beyond the obvious comparison and went on to compliment the 30-year old for his confidence in pulling a stunt like this.
Chahal should be admired for his confidence... He knows he will be trolled but he is still enjoying doing it... Good spirit @yuzi_chahal
    — (PRABHA) (@mpk_prabha) May 1, 2021Hats off to chahal's confidence
    — نیکولا تسلای_وطنی (@Sbenyamin2) May 1, 2021That confidence of Yuzvendra chahal though
    — ⓢⓗⓐⓗїⓓ♏™ (@mianshahid17) May 1, 2021Gayle 2 crore
    Chahal 6 crore

    Other things are just temporary
    — Saifur (@saifurrhmn90) May 1, 2021Confidence hai yuzi bhai ka.
    — Pranav Negi (@pranavHBK711) May 1, 2021Chahal’s RCB has been impressive during the first leg of the tournament back in Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium and Mumbai’s Wankhede and continue to remain a top-three franchise at the moment.
Despite winning the toss and asking a struggling PBKS roster to bat first, the Virat Kohli-led side were unable to stop their opponents from scoring more than 170 runs and later found it extremely difficult to chase the total down.
After only their second loss of the season, RCB have slid down to the number three position but have the same number of points in their bank as the Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals that are perched at the first and second spots in the points table, respectively.

The latest subject on Kangana’s radar seems to be the recent cover of the Time Magazine, and the journalists and authors behind the editorial cover story. The cover story was about just how bad the covid situation is in India.
    © Instagram/kanganaranaut
Recently, the actress put up a video on her social media accounts, in her usual vitriolic manner, blaming the Time Magazine, veteran journalists Barkha Dutt & Rana Ayyub and many other ‘intellectuals’, and asked the central government to take action against individuals who ruin India’s image around the world.

Please watch warning to all those who are going to their foreign daddies to cry about India.... your time is up .. pic.twitter.com/pW1lwzip8R
    — Kangana Ranaut (@KanganaTeam) April 30, 2021
In the video, Kangana states that each time India faces a crisis, western media pounces on the opportunity, and treats India as a failed state. She believes that, in such instances, Indians are seen as monkeys who have no idea how to survive, how democracy functions, and that intellectuals who complain about the government are actually helping western media foster this image.
In her tirade, she also called the COVID-19 virus as the “communist virus” & the “Wuhan virus,” and why don’t Indian intellectuals dare to use the same labels as her. Well, we can answer that for her, it is because of a concept called nuance.
This tirade of her, as expected, has people on Twitter in splits.
Didi ek ICU bed dhoondh k dikha do Dilli mein aaj ki date mein. Main khud bandar ka vesh dhaaran karke ghoomungi agar aap kaamyaab hogayin toh.
    — Jasleen Kaur (@JasleenJuly) April 30, 2021Mele papa sabse strong. Mele papa ke sab dushman. Pal Mele paka sabko dhishum dhishum karke maarenge. Mele papa supelhelo
    — TheUnpopularOpinionIN (@TheUnpopularO13) April 30, 2021 Get the reference?
The difference is that their government took accountability and didn’t leave the country to die! They were not holding rallies or allowing religious assemblies! If anything, THEY WERE NOT THREATENING TO ARREST PEOPLE WHO SEEK FOR OXYGEN!
    — jinx (@p00nksi) April 30, 2021Seriously @KanganaTeam u just keep shocking me Everytime
Like how can u still believe in ur nonsense
India had a yr to prepare and had data from all across th globe to analyze
    It knew the consequences
And yet even then the situation in India is dire
Lyk how their is a difference
    — Prakhar Mathur (@Prakhar030420) April 30, 2021 Do facts even matter now? Just asking...
US Prez lost polls due to covid handling
Italy PM resigned due to covid handling
UK PM said sorry for mishandling covid

All above were criticized. But you only get upset if Modi is criticized. pic.twitter.com/xKrXIBZ8Xc
    — Ravi Ratan (@scribe_it) April 30, 2021 Ahhh… I see what you did there. Now that’s a clever response.
I was her die hard fan. But today she mentioned about Monkeys. Monkeys are the symbolic representation of Jai shree Ram. She is indirectly accusing monkeys for spoiling modi Ji's image internationally. This is monkey Jihad. Not My Kangana
    — Jitesh Rochlani (@JRism9) April 30, 2021 And then, there were a lot of others as well who shared her sentiments.
    Just watch these pictures🏻
Who provided pics & aerial shots of burning pyres, crematoriums, funerals to NYtimes, WPost, Time magazine, The Australian etc? Barkha Dutt, Rana Ayyub, Arundhati Roy are all anti-nationals who sell this pandemic porn for money & to malign image of 🇮🇳! pic.twitter.com/9mKwyIwINY
    — 𝕶𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖍𝖓𝖆🇮🇳 | shadowbanned for life🏼 (@krishnajindal07) April 30, 2021Absolutely right kangana there is a very big international planning against India and modi to globally defame our country they are scared of our growth as a nation but India will become a super power and no one can stop it
    — JR (@JiggeshR) April 30, 2021Well said Kangana The time is up for all those anti social, anti national, left liberal cabals, pseudo seculars, Jihadists and Lutyen gang and they will be brought to justice sooner than later for sure Satyameva Jayathe

    — sunnymann (@sunnyma60675255) April 30, 2021Irrespective of where you stand on this issue, the fact remains that we are going through one of the worst public health crises to have ever befallen us. That is why, it is necessary that you get vaccinated, and continue to follow the SOPs set to prevent contracting the virus.
