Yuzvendra Chahal is not the first name that comes to mind when we think about athletes who are built like trucks. He is skinny, with not a lot of muscle mass around his biceps, legs, chest, or back.
For where the Instagram-driven audience has gotten used to seeing a ripped “washboard” set of abs, the spinner has got a flat stomach and let’s just say wearing a tight t-shirt might not solve the purpose of popping out veins in his arms.
View this post on InstagramAnd you know what the best part is? Chahal actually knows and is completely fine with the way he is! He is willing to make fun of himself (although, there’s nothing wrong with it) just for the sake of his friends, family and fans.
With the end of the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings, Chahal could be seen standing next to the big and burly Chris Gayle who is known to have one of the most imposing physiques in international cricket at the moment.

As the two men take off their shirts and pose for the camera, a sense of confidence can be seen on both their faces but for very different reasons. While Gayle is proud of all the work that he has put in to become this massive and keep fit, Chahal seems calm with just how he is.
Yes, there were some obvious trolling remarks like “look how skinny”:
Aila blood donation is requested :)

— Maxdeepmax (@TheSambhav) May 1, 2021I have a chiti haathi joke
— Abhay Tripathi (@at8Abhay) May 1, 2021However, it was rather refreshing to see how so many people looked beyond the obvious comparison and went on to compliment the 30-year old for his confidence in pulling a stunt like this.
Chahal should be admired for his confidence... He knows he will be trolled but he is still enjoying doing it... Good spirit @yuzi_chahal

— نیکولا تسلای_وطنی (@Sbenyamin2) May 1, 2021That confidence of Yuzvendra chahal though

Confidence hai yuzi bhai ka.
— Pranav Negi (@pranavHBK711) May 1, 2021Chahal’s RCB has been impressive during the first leg of the tournament back in Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium and Mumbai’s Wankhede and continue to remain a top-three franchise at the moment.
Despite winning the toss and asking a struggling PBKS roster to bat first, the Virat Kohli-led side were unable to stop their opponents from scoring more than 170 runs and later found it extremely difficult to chase the total down.
After only their second loss of the season, RCB have slid down to the number three position but have the same number of points in their bank as the Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals that are perched at the first and second spots in the points table, respectively.
