Gaming smartphones have been known to implement ideas out of the box and it seems like Redmi has come up with a solution that should excite mobile gamers. The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is the latest gaming smartphone that comes with retractable shoulder triggers. These triggers are not capacitive buttons that you see in phones like the ASUS ROG Phone 5 and instead offers a physical button similar to traditional gaming controllers.

The smartphone is powered by a  MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor and is only available in China at the moment however we could see it make its way to India too. The smartphone comes with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of RAM with internal storage options up to 256GB. Being a gaming smartphone, it is cooled by using a combination of graphene, graphite and a vapour chamber. Unlike the ASUS gaming smartphones, there are no accessories such as an external fan for the device at the moment.

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition comes with a 6.67-inch 2400x1080px AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate as well. The display is rated for HDR10+ content and DCI-P3 coverage. The smartphone also has a 5,065mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

In the photography department, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition comes with a triple camera module that consists of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 2-megapixel tertiary camera. At the front, there is a 16-MP selfie sensor as well.

While the specifications are quite impressive for a budget gaming device, the retractable triggers are the stars of the show. If you are wondering how it actually works, check out this video below that shows how it pops out of the smartphone's edges. It also shows how clickable the triggers actually are.

Having said that, Redmi has not detailed which games the triggers will be compatible with or whether it will work with games natively that already have support for controllers via X-Input. The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition launched in China from CNY 1,999 (~ Rs 22,900) for the base 6/128GB version, CNY 2,199 (~ Rs 25,200) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, CNY 2,399 (~Rs 27,500) for the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and CNY 2,699 (~ Rs 31,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

The year 2020 was a hard one for everyone, but especially for actor Rhea Chakraborty who has had to deal with a lot on her plate since the demise of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput last year.

Rhea was a victim of a nationwide witch-hunt after being accused of abetting Sushant's suicide by his family, following which she has chosen to stay away from the limelight and has barely been seen on social media.

However, according to reports, the 28-year-old "Jalebi" actress is now looking to work in Hyderabad after seeing a lack of opportunities in Bollywood.

As per a source talking to The Indian Express, the actress has been knocking on every door to get opportunities in order to restore some normality.
“The multiple events of the last year took a massive toll on Rhea. It has taken her a humongous amount of effort to try starting all over again. She has been knocking on every door she can, asking for work, trying to get her life back to normal.”
“This is not going to be an easy task for Rhea but she needs to do this to move on and start her life again, from scratch,” said the source.
Rhea, who started her career as a video jockey on MTV India, was arrested last year in a drug case linked with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, who she had been dating at the time.

In what is a sign of the actor looking to move on from the past incidents, Rhea was seen sharing a social media post featuring a picture of the cover of the Hanuman Chalisa book from her Instagram handle.

"Give us the power to fight this storm , Give us the strength to withstand this misery. Give us your blessings to heal. Jai Bajrangbali." the post said.
