Actor Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife director Tahira Kashyap have recently made contributions to Maharashtra’s CM relief fund amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ayushmann took to Instagram and issued a statement about his donation. He wrote, “We have been in the eye of the storm since last year. This pandemic has broken our hearts, made us endure pain and suffering like never before, showed us how solidarity with one another can make us handle this humanitarian crisis. Today, again, this pandemic asks us to show fortitude, resilience and mutual support. People, across India, have stepped forward to do as much as possible for each other and Tahira and I thank each and every individual who have inspired us to do more."

"We have been constantly doing our bit to help as many people as possible and have now contributed to the Maharashtra Chief Ministers Relief Fund in this hour of need. This is the time when we should come together as a community and care for each other. People need as much help as possible and we can all look to do our bit as we deem fit," he added.

A video of a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur abusing students has triggered a debate on social media. In the short two-minute video clip, Seema Singh, Associate Professor of Humanities and Social Science, is heard screaming at a group of students belonging to the SC and ST communities who quietly kept seeing her insult them. She called a student a “bloody bastard” for reasons unknown.
“This is the minimum you can do for your country. If you do not get out of class, I will give you zero. I have 20 marks for you, will give zero to all 120 of you if you don’t leave the class. You have to stand up for only two minutes in honour of the national anthem, and you cannot do that? You bloody bastard, this is also on your parents. Do you have any shame? Are you in school, bloody bastards?” she can be seen saying in the video.
In another video, she is heard refusing a student's request to take a few days off as he recently lost his grandfather. In response, the professor is seen saying, “I am a Hindu... I know there are some customs to be done but I also know that in these Covid times, there is a restriction on all these religious rituals.”
    Here are the videos:

The Galaxy S20FE 5G is Samsung’s way to give competition to budget flagship players like OnePlus and Xiaomi. The phone is packed with features that you would want from a Samsung flagship smartphone but without the flagship price tag. The smartphone comes with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate display, 30X Space Zoom on its camera and 5G connectivity. The Galaxy S20 FE puts across a great alternative to the S21 Series by offering almost everything for a cheaper price. It has been a few weeks since I’ve been using the smartphone and here’s why I feel it’s a great smartphone to own in 2021:
Design and Display  © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
Samsung has made a few sacrifices in order to make the S20 FE affordable and it comes in the form of a polycarbonate body. While it may sound like a cheap substitute, the S20 FE does not feel cheap in any way. In fact, the device feels solid in the hand and does not give off the vibe of a cheap budget device. To stand out from everything else out there, you also get to choose from six colour options i.e. Navy, Lavender, and Mint. Overall, the Galaxy S20 FE feels a bit more premium than its Chinese competition which one cannot ignore when looking for a value flagship smartphone.

    © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
The Galaxy S20 FE also has a different display primarily because of its thicker bezels. The display may not be offering a full-screen experience as the mainline S20 Series, but it doesn’t hamper the experience in any way. Samsung does compensate in other ways by having a smaller front-camera cutout than the Galaxy S20. Samsung also offers additional design features that give it an advantage over the competition. The smartphone is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance which not many value flagships offer.

    © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
In the display department, the Galaxy S20 FE features a 120Hz fullHD+ AMOLED display with 2400 x 1800 pixels. Having a 120Hz refresh rate is a welcome addition to the FE series as it results in smoother browsing, scrolling and better frames in games. Using apps like Twitter, Flipboard and even our own website feel ultra-smooth. The AMOLED display has a size of 6.5 inches, making it perfect for OTT video consumption. The display is rather vivid considering the price of the smartphone where colours pop in a series like ‘The Last Kingdom’ on Netflix.

    © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
The S20 FE’s display is also quite bright where it reached a peak level of 675 nits with adaptive brightness turned on.  The S20FE’s colour calibration is also on-point where it fared better than other flagship devices that launched in 2021. The smartphone registered 132.4 % of the DCI-P3 colour space which is higher than most smartphone’s display in the same price category.

    Cameras  © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
The Galaxy S20 FE comes with a triple camera setup at the back which is one of the most versatile setups you can get. It comes with a 12 MP, f/1.8 main camera, 8 MP, f/2.4 telephoto sensor and a 12 MP, f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. The ultra-wide camera is particularly fun to use thanks to tis 123-degree filed of view and better clarity than the rest of the devices I’ve used this year. The Space Zoom feature also works as well if not better than the main S20 Series. I was able to zoom into objects and take clear images of subjects that simply isn’t possible on other devices.

The S20 FE also takes remarkable portrait images in daylight with an accurate bokeh effect along the edges of subjects. Portrait images don’t lose details and do a good job at getting the lighting right. However, I do wish that some of the images did not have the typical over-saturation levels that Samsung smartphones are known to have.
    © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
The main camera on the S20 FE also performs well with sharp results and enough details for it to be social media worthy. Some images look absolutely brilliant with popping colours however there were instances of the camera capturing slightly saturated images as well. High saturation images are most common when capturing pictures in high daylight scenarios. Low-light imaging is also quite reliable even with night mode turned off. We didn’t notice great noise levels from the main camera however the same cannot be said about the ultra-wide sensor. The night mode works very similarly to the S20 series but it isn’t as consistent as other night mode images I’ve captured with other devices.

If you want to have a look at some of the camera samples from the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, have a look here:
Performance and Battery The Galaxy S20 FE 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset and has been paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. In my experience, the S20 FE 5G felt snappier and faster than other smartphones by Samsung that are powered by the Exynos platform. I threw everything at the phone and there was no sight of it being slowed down or throttling. The phone was able to run Genshin Impact and Call of Duty Mobile on maximum settings without dropping any frames or getting hot by the extra pressure on the GPU.
    © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
In terms of benchmark tests, the S20 FE 5G performed as expected with impressive scores. On Geekbench 5, the S20 FE 5G scored 2,928 (multi-core). The scores were reflective of real-world usage. For gamers, the smartphone reached 1,325 frames (21 frames per second) on GFXBench’s Aztec Ruins Vulkan test. The smartphone beats the Galaxy S20 by a slight margin but still trails the iPhone 11’s GPU performance.

The Galaxy S20FE 5G is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery that can last an entire day with moderate to heavy use. The phone comes with a 15W charger out of the box but doed support PD fast charging at 25W as well which you will have to purchase separately.
The Final Say The Galaxy S20FE 5G retails in India for Rs 47,999 which is a great deal considering what you get in return. The smartphone’s photography capabilities are better than its competition. With a great 120Hz display and striking colours to choose from, the Galaxy S20 FE sets itself apart from the deep abyss of smartphones in this price category.

India's current Covid-19 scenario is not very dissimilar to any movie surrounding events of an apocalypse.

Talk to your friends, relatives, or people anywhere across the country, and most would tell you that they might actually be having trouble sleeping at night. Such has been the travesty of the enormous second wave of Coronavirus infections.

The order, under which the facility will be linked to Primus Hospital in Chanakyapuri, was passed by the Chanakyapuri Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Geeta Grover, on Sunday (April 26).
“A request has been received from Delhi High Court for setting up of CHC facility for the Hon’ble Justices and other judicial officers of Delhi High Court and their families."
"Now, therefore, I, Geeta Grover… in exercise of powers…and in overall imminent public interest, do hereby require the 100 rooms of Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi for setting up of Covid Health facility for the use of Hon’ble Justices and other judicial officers of Delhi High Court and their families and place at the disposal of Primus Hospital, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi with immediate effect…” the order said, as per a report in The Indian Express.
Grover, while speaking to The Indian Express, later confirmed the same, and said that the facility will become operational at the end of the week.
“It will take at least till the end of the week for the facility to become operational. It will be only for judges, HC staff, and their families, as is mentioned in the order,” said Grover.
New Delhi has been one of the worst-hit cities in the country, with the national capital recording around 20,201 cases on Monday, marking a positivity rate of 35 percent along with around 380 deaths.

Audience has always treated actors as stars or some special human beings. Irrfan never really appreciated the fact that audience believed that actors are special. Irrfan believed that actors are real-life heroes. When it comes to Irrfan, he always believed in keeping his characters very relatable and his portrayal of an ordinary man on the screen made him stand apart. From The Lunch Box to Hindi Medium, his characters spoke of the philosophy he believed in.
In an interview with Indian Express, he spoke about why he feels it’s important for his characters to not be larger-than-life as he thought the audiences tend to believe the actors are special.
    View this post on Instagram
“When I started out in movies, I observed that there was a kind of disparity which comes when you watch a film, and you start feeling that the on-screen creatures are special and you (the viewer) are a substandard creature,” Irrfan said. He went on to add that for him the most important thing was to “communicate that whatever I am doing, I am not special, it is possible for you (the viewer). Only then it is worthwhile to be an actor.”
He found it ‘ugly’ when the viewers felt inferior to the characters they saw on the silver screen. “There is something ugly in creating that disparity which reinforces the notion that I (the actor) am something special. That is not my taste. I would rather leave acting,” the late actor said.
    View this post on Instagram
He also added that actors shouldn’t be looked upon as aspirational figures. “I could see people are finding them (actors) heroes. They are not heroes,” said Irrfan. “Television changed things for our society. People started looking at the cinema in different ways; as though becoming a star was a career by itself. But slowly, I could see that people are finding them (actors) heroes. They are not heroes. They are glamorous people. Sportsmen, for instance, are playing sports and they should be valued and given importance, but society should not aspire to become just that. That’s a shortcut. There are real heroes who affect people’s lives. They work selflessly just to change people’s life. Those are heroes. For a healthy society, at least, aspirations should be directed in the right direction,” Irrfan added.

After reading this interview, you would realize the actor had a deep sense of empathy and believed in a philosophical way of dealing with certain things. This is why Irrfan is irreplaceable and we did lose a gem last year.

Tiger Shroff's style sense may not be like Ranveer Singh's or Aparshakti Khurana's, but he has his own way of working in the fashion department. It's a known fact that Tiger is more into relaxed athleisure pieces. He would rather choose a basic T-shirt and pair it with his extra-long pants, and finish his outfit with espadrilles or sneakers. All this establishes one thing that he believes more in functional dressing than going for silhouettes that are fancy.

He was decked in a singlet by Asics designed in recycled materials for a more sustainable approach. He paired it with long pants again but we were absolutely distracted by an accessory this time - his passport cover. Take a look.

Talking about his outfit first, we really like how understated it is. The colour palette of the tank tee is quite subtle. This is a functional-looking outfit yet again. The way he coupled the upper with long white pants, seems to be a good choice.

Say what may, the Louis Vuitton accessory takes the cake and attention from everything else and this is probably after a very long time we've seen Tiger experiment with something so off-beat. Way to go.

The second wave of coronavirus has brought catastrophe and chaos and India has been seeing dismally surging cases and innumerable deaths along with a collapse in the healthcare system.

While most people are struggling for hospital beds and oxygen cylinders for their loved ones, some people have the privilege of taking their private jets to any country still willing to take them.
However, India recorded 3,23,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.

According to The Sunday Times, India’s uber-rich have been spending massive amounts of money more than $130,000 to book last-minute flights and private jets to fly off to places like Britain and the UAE.

According to reports, more than eight jets were flown to Britain from India just before the UK implemented a travel ban. Also, a 13-seater Bombardier Global 6000 - landed at Luton airport from Mumbai 45 minutes before the introduction of the travel restrictions.
Also, the cost of the flight is believed to be around $138,000 (£100,000).

According to The Economic Times, private jet provider Enthral Aviation said that they have been flooded with countless inquiries over the last few days. An Enthral Aviation spokesperson said, “We have requested more aircraft from abroad to meet the demand. It costs $38,000 to hire a 13-seater jet from Mumbai to Dubai and $31,000 to hire a six-seater aircraft. People are making groups and arranging to share our jets just to get a seat. We've had some queries for Thailand but mostly the demand is for Dubai.”
Not only this, earlier, many celebrities have been trolled for posting vacation pictures amidst the ongoing pandemic. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt received a lot of flak for going to the Maldives for a vacation after recovering from COVID19 and completing their home quarantine. People were upset with them as there is a state-wide lockdown in Maharashtra and fans thought they were just trying to escape.

India has been struck by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the deadly virus paralyzing the country's health care systems, leaving many citizens to cater for their own, be it the pursuit of hospital beds, ventilators, ICUs, medicines, and oxygen.

With lockdowns across many cities throughout the country, the haunting lone sirens of ambulances every now and then is indeed a sign that the situation is very grim.

However, despite its seriousness, the one thing never seems to stop in the country is a wedding, even if the groom is suffering from the Coronavirus.

So, how do you get married in a ceremony while maintaining the basic norm of social distancing?
The answer is, YOU DON'T. Instead, you both wear PPE kits, because, whatever happens, the show must go on!
    © Augrav
Yes. In a bizarre incident on Monday (April 26), a couple in Ratlam city of India's central Madhya Pradesh state were married in PPE suits after the groom tested positive for Covid-19.

In fact, it was not just the couple who sported the new wedding outfit, with the three other people attending the ceremony also wearing the PPE kits.

Say whatever about us Indians, one thing that we do not lack for sure is courage.
According to the video of the wedding, the groom can be seen walking behind the bride as they circle around the fire for the wedding pheras, with the pandit and the other people chanting the mantra in the background.
Gatherings for social and religious purposes have been restricted by the authorities in the state in order to stop the spread of the virus, with the limit on the number of people weddings put down to 50.
In an ideal scenario, the wedding would not have gone ahead, but according to Navin Garg, a district official, a way was found.
"The groom tested positive on April 19. We came here to stop the wedding but on the request and guidance of senior officials, the wedding was solemnized. The couple was made to wear PPE kits so that the infection doesn't spread,'' said Garg, while speaking with ANI.

Over the last couple of weeks, MX Player’s VDesi catalogue of shows has been dropping one international entertainer after another. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, they dropped the biggest drama of the season – The Promise.
With the increase in demand of international shows dubbed in Hindi, MX Player is going out of its way to bring shows that are much loved by our desi audience.
In one such attempt, the OTT platform got new episodes of the Turkish drama The Promise on its platform after multiple requests from fans. On public demand, season 3 of this drama is now up and available to stream on MX Player in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
    Wondering what’s The Promise about?

This immensely popular Turkish drama is a series about love, revenge, compromise, consideration, and the sacred institution of marriage – in short, the perfect masala entertainer.
The show revolves around the life of Reyhan, a kind-hearted country girl who promises to marry the son of an old family friend Hikmet after he reveals he is terminally ill.
Worried about his legacy and family fortune, Hikmet wants Reyhan to marry his frivolous son, Emir. Hikmat is worried that his greedy wife may blow off his family fortune to cement her place in Istanbul’s high society. While Emir agrees to fulfill his dying father's last wish and marry Reyhan, he vows to make her life miserable.
    MX Player
Here’s where the drama gets interesting. As Emir begins to torment Reyhan, he realizes that she is just as much a victim of this unsuitable matchmaking as much as he. It’s his father who he is angry with. As Emir softens his stance towards Reyhan, the show takes on a slow romantic track that keeps the viewers glued.
Hooked on to the plot already? Start streaming the show for free on MX Player right here.
