    On March 11th 2017, German and Egyptian archeologists made a discovery that is being hailed as the most colossal discovery of the millennium. The best part is it that it was not discovered at an excavation site. Parts of a massive 3000-year-old statue depicting the legendary Pharaoh Ramses II, was found in the slums of Matariya in Cairo.
     


    The recovered bust and head of the antique statue measures 8 meters in length and is made of quartzite. Talk about a rare and amazing find.

    What makes this such a big deal is that the fact that Ramses II was the greatest Pharaoh to ever rule the Egyptians. The discovery is supposed to boost Egyptian tourism which has taken a serious beating in the past few years.

    The natural ‘Azure Window’ rock arch, that served as the perfect backdrop for Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo’s wedding in the first episode ‘Game Of Thrones’, is sadly no more. Due to a really powerful storm on Wednesday, the arch and its stack that jutted off Gozo Island in the Maltese archipelago, collapsed into the sea.

    “There was a big raging sea beneath the window,” said local resident Roger Chessell, who witnessed the collapse. “Suddenly, the arch collapsed into the sea with a loud “whoomph”, throwing up a huge spray. By the time the spray had faded, the stack had gone too.”
    The Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, tweeted about the incident calling it heartbreaking.

    Locally known as it-Tieqa tad-Dwejra, the Island of Gozo’s tourist board also mourned the loss of the spectacular rock formation with a Facebook post.
    “The inevitable and the much feared has happened,” it said via a statement on Facebook. “The flagship of the Gozitan touristic sites has sunk in its same birth place from where for thousands of years, it stood high and proud heralding one of the natural beauties our little island is endowed with.”
    People on Twitter also paid tribute to the rock formation.

    According to a report by Korea Economic Daily, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may include a new feature that will have the ability to recognise faces so that you can unlock your phone with just your ugly mug. This feature along with an iris scanner and the fingerprint sensor will be used on the smartphone for added security.

    We all are now accustomed to using a fingerprint sensor to unlock our phones, however, if latest leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S8 are true, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the phone, next to the camera sensor. This placement could feel a little awkward as you might smudge your camera lens by mistake but, the addition of facial recognition might just make things easier. 
    According to an unnamed Samsung official, it is believed that using the face camera might be faster to unlock your phone than the traditional fingerprint sensor. The source believes that it would take less than 0.01 seconds to unlock the phone using the facial recognition feature on board the Samsung Galaxy S8.

     Apart from facial recognition, the Galaxy S8 may also use the iris scanner to unlock the device. It is not the first time Samsung has included an iris scanner on a smartphone, as it was the star feature on the Galaxy Note 7 as well. Samsung might just add the iris scanner to the Galaxy S8 so that it can bring the technology back to life. The iris scanner uses unique patterns in your eyes to unlock the phone and make your dreams of being a spy come true. 
    The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be announced at an event on March 29th and all eyes are set on Samsung to see if they will be pushing the envelope with their latest flagship phone this year.

    There's no getting around kids, ain't it? And the kids nowadays are so beyond control, you'd think you were better off without them. Don't believe us? Look at this dad's plight. Robert Kelly, a professor of political science at Pusan National University in North Korea, was in the middle of a very serious BBC interview about South Korea. Talking to the BBC anchor, the professor was live on video from his home. 

    And bang! His young kid sauntered in like a boss, fidgeting with whatever he could find in his way and planted himself right behind his father. When the BBC anchor couldn't keep a straight face and pointed out the kid, a visibly embarrassed Kelly tried to shoo away the kid. But no! The kid's brother too walked in his walking pram! Their dad was probably regretting his decision of working from home when the mother/nanny dashed in to the rescue! 
    The video has gone crazy viral since then and has over 30 million views on Facebook. Twitterati is beside itself with reactions. Even actor Tom Hanks couldn't help sharing the hilarious video.

    Lack of funding, athlete exploitation and poor facilities- these are some of the most glaring loopholes in Indian sports. While the government continues to act deaf and blind, our athletes gives all they have and earn medals for the country anyway. This time around, it’s a team you wouldn’t have ever heard about before. Let alone the team, people wouldn’t even know that this sport exists in cricket-crazed India. We are talking about the Women’s Ice Hockey Team. The champs just won their first ever international match at the 2017 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, in Thailand.
     

    Neglected by the government, the team was given a helping hand by an online content portal called 'The Logical Indian'. They started a crowd funding campaign and amassed as much as 32 lakhs for the team. While you are too busy with stuff like that, take a minute and pay attention to their existence and achievements, they sure have earned it.  We here at Mensxp wish them all the best in the upcoming matches.

    More children around the world are going to schools, learning, getting connected to the internet and going to university now more than ever before. The number of women opting for higher studies is more than men today. The rate of infant mortality has dropped in the last one year.

    My point?  We tend to focus on the bad in the world because, somehow that makes it easier for us to sit, complain, not contribute and yet, add to the pile of garbage in the world, without remorse or guilt. But, we forget that the good in the world is just as much, if not more. 
    Let us, for an instance, move beyond the fact that the President of America is a sexist, chauvinist, misinformed, undeserving candidate. Let us also move beyond the number of deaths, rapes and violence cases happening across the world. Let us also move beyond the various theories of apocalypse and dismaying fate of humanity that keep cropping up on us on a daily basis.

    Let us look at one simple Ted Talk for about 20 to 30 minutes and gauge what Danny Dorling, a social geographer, has to say about the way the world is changing, through a series of maps. These aren’t your average maps; these maps don’t show you the amount of rainfall, the amount of population and the status of demography in the world. These maps show you how there is enough place for every individual on this Earth; there is enough food for every mouth on this Earth and there is enough water for every soul on this Earth. And that’s not all; there is enough light to shine bright enough in a way that it illuminates the entire planet and shows from outer space. 
     
    Moral of the talk: We need to stop concentrating on the negatives. We choose to see that which we want to. What this goes to show? That we’re a bunch of pessimistic, pig-headed people who don’t want to open our minds and see behind what is shown to us on a news channel, a television screen or a newspaper. The problem lies with us cynics who choose to see the darkness, instead of the candle that illuminates the path in the dark. This world is full of good; if only we choose to see and do more about it.

    1. Sum – Forty Tales From the Afterlives
    Author: David Eagleman

    A satirical tale on what happens to us when we die; Sum is Eagleman’s take on the afterlife, shown through different instances and 
    hypothetical situations. If one shows God to be a microbe, the other shows God to be a married couple, and us to be a character in someone else’s dream. It’s funny, yet thought-provoking and will make you appreciate the life you have in a better way.  
    2. Tao Te Ching

    Written sometime in the 6th century B.C., the philosophies of the Tao Te Ching hold true even today. Over time, a variety of versions were re-written and published, popularizing Taoist philosophy across the years. One of the oldest, yet most relevant books on philosophy. 
    3. The Constant Gardener

It is a window to the world of the dark and underground; about how tragedy elevates a man to more than he is and how it shapes life when hit by trauma and casualty. 
    4. The Alchemist

    This was easily Coelho’s coming out to the world as an author who had the power to stir the soul and influence thought processes. If ever there was a contemporary novelist who had the ability to infuse ideas and philosophies through words and fiction, it is Paulo Coelho. His writing oozes poetic romance and yet, tells of a very honest truth about the world, the way we think and the way we feel. The Alchemist is literally every human beings quest on this Earth to find themselves, to derive meaning and to be more than they are. 
    5. David Copperfield 
    Author: Charles Dickens

    I read David Copperfield when I was 10 years old. The story about a boy who spent most of his childhood fatherless, with a mother who, in her own right, needed a pillar of her own to rest on. I rate it is as one of Dickens’ best works because of his expert portrayal of human relations, emotions and the need for connection. Through young Copperfield’s life, you experience betrayal, remorse, distance, hurt, love, hope, dismay, death and life. It should be on every individual’s reading list—whether or not you are coming of age, or graying by the days. 
    6. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 
    Author: Mark Twain

    I read this one when I was 8 years old. It was one of the most adventurous stories, as well as one of the most enlightening novels of its time. At the time when I was reading it, the undercurrent of American slavery and civil war was still very vague for a child like me. And yet, through it all, Twain manages to tell the tale of the lives of two young boys so lightly in a way that is both endearing and engaging. It’s like taking your own self on that little forbidden adventure you wanted to give to yourself when you were a kid. We’ve all thought of running away with our best friend from home, finding our own way and forging long-lasting relationships in the unlikeliest way possible. It’s hard to get by without reading this one, honestly and you’ll never know what you miss if you don’t give it a read. 
    7. Reasons To Stay Alive

    Let this be a note to anyone who has ever known depression. If you’ve ever been sitting by yourself in a dark room, contemplating whether or not to slit your wrists, drink the poison, swallow the pills, and if in a split-second of a moment, you decided not to do that, in the most profound frustration you ever mustered, then this book was written for you. The story about how the author, Matt Haig, came face-to-face with his depression and suicidal tendencies and overcame is for each and every one of us who is battling, or has battled such impulses in the past. It’s about a statistic that is crippling a majority of the world’s population—the rising number of suicides due to depression and how not to end up as just another statistic. 
    8. Ted Talks

    Public speaking is not everyone’s cup of tea, or coffee, or poison—whichever you prefer. But, for the sake our own selves and for those countless others who probably can’t, we—who do have a voice—should be able to speak up and out to the public; be it an audience of one, or one thousand, or one million. The crowd shouldn’t matter; the voice should. Chris Anderson, Founder, Ted Talks himself dishes out the secrets and the steps to successfully speaking up in public speaking and it’s worth reading, even if you’re just a huge Ted Talks listener. On a semi-related note, I personally think everyone needs to at least get over their fear of speaking up and just for that simple reason; this book comes in somewhat handy. 
    9. The Defining Decade: Why Your Twenties Matter--And How to Make the Most of Them Now

    Twenty may be the new thirty if you’re looking at demographic trends. But, does that mean that you sacrifice your twenties making all the clumsy mistakes you make with the premise of it being your twenties? Nope. Yes, as humans, we’re allowed to overlook a lot of the trivialities of life; however, our twenties are majorly a period of transition for us as individuals. We’re changing mindsets, jobs, cities, people and lives. The book is a detailed and well-researched insight into the lives of twenty-somethings who have been caught up in a whirlwind of misinformation and half-baked opinions; I’m one of them, actually. And the fact that we treat it so trivially is what the real problem is. The book gives us a view on how we can improve our lack of knowledge and makes the most of the time we have at hand before it’s actually too late; don’t let anyone fool you into believing it isn’t. 
    10. The Last Lecture 
    Author: Randy Pausch

    A thought-provoking book based on the last lecture given by Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, after he discovered he was suffering from pancreatic cancer. The lecture went on to become widely popular and one of the most inspiring speeches to ever have been given. This book is based on that lecture and is a manifesto, of sorts, on how and why it’s important to really live out each and every single day of your life. We live in this constant rut of complaining and whining about life is difficult and troublesome, while wasting away our precious time that we could otherwise use in really living the gift that is life. It’s for every soul out there who needs to understand the meaning of gratitude, contentment and making the most of what we have in this lifetime. 
    11. The Namesake 
    Author: Jhumpa Lahiri

    This book grips you in the way that only a novel by Jhumpa Lahiri can. This was one of the first of her books that I had picked up when I was around 12 or 13. I had just moved to a new city with my family and on many levels, I somehow felt that I could connect with the protagonist’s, Gogol Ganguly’s situation of life and coming of age. Gogol who is named after his father’s favourite author, Nikolai Gogol goes through a whirlwind of change as he tries to adapt to a western culture with his parents holding on strongly to their Indian roots. It’s a must read for every individual because it is like a mirror into our own evolution through the years. It’s about finding yourself in the crowd and losing yourself in the city and coming back to your roots and making choices, however difficult they may be. 
    12. Illusions: The Adventures Of A Reluctant Messiah

    This book was a gift to me when I was 14. At the time, I was told by an Uncle that I was too young to get the meaning and context of the book. I read it anyway. Here’s what I realized—to a certain extent, my Uncle had been right; but to a large extent he had been mistaken. When you move beyond the mechanics of wrenches and propellers, this book is primarily about belief—in one’s own self and in one’s own capability. It’s about believing, above all other things and people, that you in yourself are enough, are able and can make the change you want to. For some, belief is tied to a tank full of gas and sparks firing up a cylinder; for others, it’s about flying. So, whether or not you’re too young—psychologically, or physiologically—or not, read the book. 
    13. Dead Souls 
    Author: Nikolai Gogul

    I was inspired to read this book after The Namesake where the protagonist is named after author, Nikolai Gogol. The book is about one man’s ambition to rise above his means by buying dead serf’s (the term used to describe agricultural labourers in the age of feudalism, around the 14th century) names from their landlords, after having scanned through their poll taxes’ list and then trying to mortgage them to others who lacked knowledge of these serfs. Chichikov, the schemer aimed to make a profit by this way and become a man of means. It’s a satirical, yet poetic take on the situation at that period in society and how wealth determined one’s position; it still does. It makes you think, in a sort of comical way of what we are as a society. 
    14. Almost Adulting: All You Need to Know to Get It Together (Sort Of)

    It’s every young individuals guide to becoming an adult; even if they think they’re already there and don’t really need a guide to doing so. No matter what age we’re at; we always need that kind of help; you see, there’s nothing stopping us from going right back into that zone of acting like a child.  For some of us, it’s just a chocolate or a kitten away, honestly. 
    15. The Stranger 
    Author: Albert Camus

    Life only has the meaning YOU want to give it. Existentialism and the crisis thereof is real. That’s two things this book leaves you with. The author’s main intention while writing this book was exploring his own idea of “the nakedness of man faced with the absurd”. In plain and simple words, it’s about exposing one’s true nature when faced with the strangest incidents that happen to humans; in this case, the protagonist gets embroiled in a murder on an Algerian beach

    A renowned author recently published a book "Irresistible: The Rise of Addictive Technology and the Business of Keeping Us Hooked," which explores the idea of why the American population is addicted to at least one type of behaviour. He explains that we are constantly obsessed over our Instagram likes, our WhatsApp conversations, our Facebook feed and our emails. He also explains why humans like to binge watch TV shows and YouTube videos.

    Well apparently, this is also the reason why Steve Jobs prevented his kids from using an iPad. Here’s the transcript of a video, which details his reasons: 
    Steve Jobs in 2010 was on the stage at the Apple event releasing the iPad and he described it as a wonderful device that brought you educational tools. It allowed you to surf the web, it allowed you to watch videos, it allowed you to interact with other people. And he basically said it’s the best way to do all those things.

    Two years later when he was asked: “Your kids must love the iPad?” He said “Actually we don’t allow the iPad in the home. We think it’s too dangerous for them in effect.” The reason why he said that was because he recognised just how addictive the iPad was as a vehicle for delivering things to people. That once you had the iPad in front of you, or when you took it away from the home with you, you’d always have access to these platforms that were very addictive. That was hard to resist.
    So while his kids were very well adapted, well adjusted, may not have been prime targets for say substance abuse, they like everyone else, are susceptible to the charms of something like an iPad and what it delivers.

    There was a patent filed by Apple recently which showed a “Function Bar” that is allegedly going to replace the iconic home button on the upcoming iPhone this year. We all assume it is the iPhone 8, and a concept design, AlHasan Husni has created renditions of how the iPhone 8’s Function bar will work.

    According to the renditions, the iPhone 8 will unlock the phone faster than before and it will also add swipe functions at the bottom of the screen to use certain features.

    A user will be able to swipe right on the Function bar to utilise multi-tasking features and swipe up could bring up the control center like we do today. To unlock the phone, the user can tap anywhere on the function area as there will be a fingerprint sensor/Touch ID behind the display. This would also remove the need for the home button and make the iPhone 8 the first Apple smartphone to have slimmer bezels.

    The other feature the concept includes is a possibility of a new Dark Mode that might be coming in an iOS 11 update. This new Dark Mode will help users read text on the phone better in low-light environments and also help conserve battery life.

    Milk a cow way too much and she’ll kick you in the face. With the ‘Fast and Furious’ series, the case is identical. They have been dragging the series way too far now. ‘Fast 7’ made millions riding off Paul Walker’s death and so did Vin Diesel. Truth be told, the franchise rightfully died with Paul Walker. With Jason Statham and box office almighty Dwayne Johnson, the makers thought that they could make another fortune. But looking at the latest trailer of ‘Fate Of The Furious’, it’s safe to say that the movie is going to be absolute trash.

    Alright, you got The Rock in there but still, what about the story? The intensity of the rivalry that was built up between Rock and Statham looks like comedy now. Don’t even talk about the stunts. A brief look at the trailer will convince you that they got the CGI done from an animation studio in Rajouri garden.  The trailer gives out all the suspense as well. We are definitely not looking forward to it and strongly recommend you to do the same.

Though politics formed one of the predominant themes in his writings, it’s his love poetry that he is most fondly remembered for.     When it comes to bodybuilding, the first thought that comes in our mind is an attractive physique.  If we conduct a survey, asking men why they lift weights, the following could be the possible answers:

    · To pack on big muscles

    Ever since renouncing his Team India captaincy in January, MS Dhoni has been getting accustomed to normal life while his teammates are busy battling the Australians in the ongoing Test series. But, despite trying to keep a low profile, the former Indian captain is having a hard time staying away from the limelight.
    Winning fans across India, Dhoni has got nothing less than the status of a demigod in his hometown of Ranchi. The adulation of Dhoni's fans was once again in full display when the explosive batsman landed at Ranchi's Birsa Munda airport.
    After coming out of the airport, Dhoni made his way to his iconic Hummer, leaving for home. But, little did he know what fans had in store for one of India's most popular cricketers.

    As he got into his Hummer, Dhoni's fans hounded the car to get a glimpse of the local hero. But, amid the fan frenzy, a young girl clearly stole the spotlight.
    After fighting off security personnel, the girl made her way close to the vehicle and then stood right in front of Dhoni's Hummer, bringing it to a standstill. In the chaos, her bag fell to the ground and it was also run over by Dhoni's SUV.

    Concerned for the girl's safety, Dhoni quickly stopped his vehicle and asked if her fan was okay. The girl had apparently tailed Dhoni from the airport to the parking spot in a bid to meet her favourite cricketer.
    This is not the first time when a Dhoni fan endured hardship to catch a glimpse of the star. Earlier this year, another female fan had followed Dhoni's Hummer from his Ranchi home to the airport in order to click a selfie with him.

    Ever since his appointment as Team India coach, Anil Kumble has constantly been seen using unique techniques to bring the best out of the Virat Kohli brigade. Aware of the challenges in international cricket, Kumble is arguably moving mountains to keep the Indian players on top of their game.
    So when the veteran spinner saw Indian batsmen struggling against the spin variations of Australian revelation Steve O'Keefe, he took matters in his own hands.
    The 46-year-old, a gem of a right-arm spinner, turned to his left-hand and bowled against the Indian batsmen to prepare them for the O'Keefe threat.

    "As they have a left-arm spinner, Anil bhai was trying to replicate that, coming from corner of the crease and angling into the right hander and try to spin it from there," Pujara told 'bcci.tv' ahead of the third Test beginning here March 16.
    "So I was just trying to get used to that angle as well. Sridhar was coming in from over the stumps, banging in short and just taking the ball away. It was really useful especially Sridhar, he was really accurate. Anil tried his best even though he is a right-arm bowler but he tried bowling left-arm spin and still was decent enough for practice," he added.

    Pakistan batting legend Misbah-ul-Haq is a cornered man in Pakistan cricket these days. The 42-year-old has been asked to retire after the upcoming Test series against West Indies. 
    But rather than being affected by the ever-growing chants demanding his ouster, the right-hander has shown us that he's still got a lot of cricket left in him. The Pakistani veteran proved his detractors wrong by smashing six consecutive sixes in an over - a feat achieved by Yuvraj Singh during the World T20 tournament in 2007.
    Misbah achieved the feat during the Hong Kong T20 Blitz match between Hong Kong Island United and Hung Hom Jaguars. With his side on 175/6 in 18.4 overs, the Pakistani batsman decided to take matters in his own hands by smashing his compatriot Imran Arif for two sixes on the last two deliveries of the 19th over.

    And, when he got the strike back on the second ball of the final over bowled by Ashley Caddy, the right-handed batsman continued his barrage, adding four successive sixes off the last four balls.

    HMD, the company which paid a ton of money to use the Nokia brand is now planning to build an Android phone which will be their marquee device. HMD recently unveiled the new Nokia 3310, which tapped into our nostalgic memories of the iconic phone. HMD also announced a mid-level Android phone, which sold out in mere seconds in China.

    A new report from China has emerged that HMD is currently working on two flagship phones that will be using Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835, the same chipset  (probably!) that will be on board the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. 
    Chinese Website MyDrivers reported that Nokia’s flagship phone will have a full metal body and a dual-lens camera configuration much like the iPhone 7 Plus. It will also sport a big screen and a Snapdragon 835 chipset. If the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks are true, this specification on the Nokia flagship phone is eerily similar to the Galaxy S8.

    The report also adds that Nokia is working on a second flagship phone, which will have a smaller screen and more or less the same specs. The phone is also expected to have 6GB of RAM as most smartphone manufacturers are following this trend to compliment the chipset.

    The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Cricket Australia (CA) might have called a truce over the sensational Decision Review System (DRS) row in the second Test, but there seems to be no stopping the media scrutiny.
    While both Indian and Australian media have equally derived their own views and hypothesis surrounding the incident, The Daily Telegraph has launched a scathing attack on Virat Kohli, accusing him of hitting an Australian team official with a Gatorade bottle.
    "Under ICC laws Kohli as a Test captain is supposed to be a custodian for the spirit of the game, yet in addition to his relentlessly aggressive on-field behaviour, it can be revealed he unleashed an astonishing outburst in the dressing rooms following his dismissal, smashing a Gatorade bottle off a table, where it then rebounded off a television and struck an Australian team official on the leg.

    Kohli was also seen swearing in the direction of the Australian box as he left the field and using a throat-slitting gesture to send-off Peter Handscomb late in the Test," The Daily Telegraph's website claimed.
    The Australian news portal went on to claim that there was no apology from the Indian camp after an Australian official had been struck. It also believed that Kohli's behaviour - "one of the worst by an international captain since villainous Sri Lankan leader Arjuna Ranatunga - killed the spirit of the game.

    If that wasn't enough, the Australian news website took the Bengaluru bloodbath to a whole new level by targeting Team India coach Anil Kumble.
    "As Virat Kohli left a tornado of destruction behind him in the Indian dressing room, fuming he had been given out lbw, it’s understood Kumble went to seek immediate clarification from match officials as to why his irate skipper was given out at a key moment of the second Test.

    Kohli might be the aggressor in the brazen campaign India is running against Australia’s integrity — even striking an Australian official with an orange Gatorade bottle — but coach Kumble, one of the main instigators of the Monkeygate fiasco, would appear to have reclaimed his role as the puppeteer behind the scenes," the website claimed.
    The Daily Telegraph further revealed that Kumble made his fury known about the actions of the match referee, Chris Broad, during the second Test, complaints which were passed onto the ICC by the BCCI.

    The validity of the explosive claims are yet to be ascertained, but the latest revelations can potentially derail the peace process between the world's top two Test teams.

    Ahead of the highly-anticipated four-match Test series, cricket pundits and fans placed their money on Team India to overcome the Australian challenge. But, contrary to popular perception, the visiting Australians shot down the high-flying Virat Kohli brigade to take a surprising 1-0 lead in the series.
    Battered and bruised, the world no. 1 Test side desperately needed to win their fans back as the two cricketing giants locked horns in Bengaluru. The second match, filled with personal duels and sensational comebacks, saw the home side bouncing back with a 75-run triumph to level the series.
    With the four-match series evenly poised at 1-1, the two teams now head to Ranchi where the third match of the series could probably decide the fate of the all-important series.

    On one hand where Kohli's side will be oozing confidence following their morale-boosting win in Bengaluru, the Steven Smith-led Australia find themselves vulnerable with some major problems to address.
    The Decision Review System (DRS) controversy in the second Test would have surely disrupted the mindset of the visiting players. And, if that's not enough, the fact that Mitchell Marsh and Mitchell Starc have been ruled out of the ongoing series due to injuries is only going to add to their woes.

Travelling to the Arctic Circle, the couple got engaged under a surreal sky lit by the northern lights, also called Aurora Borealis.

    It was a dream come true as Dale had waited 5 years to do this. He told Daily Mail Australia, “I hadn't heard or seen anyone do it before, and I wanted to do something different from everybody else.” The photographer couple had already visited the Northern Lights 30 times together, which made the proposal all the more special. It was their special place.

    Last year, he had tried to do it when he hid a $4000 ring in his girfriend’s moisturizer bottle. Unfortunately, their baggage weighed over the allowed limit at the airport and Karlie hurled the bottle in the dustbin!
