If you prefer binge-watching shows online either on Netflix or Amazon Prime, because you are utterly bored of the daily shows that are aired on television – trust us, you are not alone. Before shows like ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ where a family is constantly pestered by ghosts, supernatural beings and a f**king housefly – or a woman who happily washed her husband’s laptop with soap water – things were way better on television. For every 90s or even 80s kids, watching television was a pure joy and the credit can be given to some exceptionally brilliant shows like ‘Malgudi Days’, ‘Hum Log’ and ‘Fauji’. And now all your favourite shows are coming back with a bang as Doordarshan is all set to rerun them.

Earlier, Doordarshan announced the rerun of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Circus’ and now a whole bunch of our favourites are making a comeback. So, let’s take a walk back to the golden history of television and relive the shows that made our childhoods so special.
    Malgudi Days © Doordarshan
“Ta na na Tana nana na” the mere tune takes us down the memory lane and makes us feel super nostalgic, recalling the celebrated show we watched in our growing years. Based on RK Narayan’s novel, ‘Malgudi Days’ is one such show that will be carved into our hearts for the longest time possible and even if we watch it after 5 years, it will still bring a smile to our faces.
    Hum Log  © Doordarshan
This show lasted nearly 17 months and is said to be the first drama to be aired on television. The daily struggles of an Indian middle-class family, their relationships and ideology made for a good watch and some of us might even remember some scenes from the show. To be honest, this show was way ahead of its time and its progressive concept can beat any crappy shows these days.
    Buniyaad © YouTube
Another fantastic show was ‘Buniyaad’ that dealt with the 1947 partition and its aftermath. Ramesh Sippy’s directorial venture was first aired in 1986 and introduced veteran actors like Alok Nath, Kanwaljeet Singh and Kruttika Desai.
    Wagle Ki Duniya © YouTube
Another treat from Doordarshan was this popular sitcom drama that aired for the first time in 1988. The story revolved around the everyday struggles of a sales clerk in a multinational corporation and actor Anjan Srivastav did a wonderful job portraying the protagonist.
So guys, it’s time to keep your tablets and laptops aside and sit back in a recliner to enjoy our childhoods once again.

The Oscars are here and while the list of movies that excelled this year is super long, we recommend you 7 Oscar nominated movies that you can totally binge watch this weekend before you tune in to watch who wins.  Without much ado, here are our recommendations:
    1. La La Land- Pardon me for the clichés, but this is one movie everybody already loves. You might not have watched it yet, but you have heard of it, that’s for sure. It is already running in the crazy Oscar race with so many nominations, and you need to add it to the binge watch list, either with bae or with a tub of popcorn. The story is about a brewing romance between a jazz musician and an aspiring actress who are struggling to make ends meet.
    2. Lion- It has Dev Patel playing Saroo, an Indian boy adopted by Australian parents who finds his way back home with the help of Google Earth. Also, it’s a true story and totally heart wrenching.
    3. Nocturnal Animals- The trailer is very gripping and slightly creepy. A rich art gallery owner receives the manuscript of a book that her ex-husband dedicates to her. Lot of twists and turn in this one! P.S- this is famed designer, Tom Ford’s creation.
    4. Hidden Figures- An excellent yet untold story of three amazing African-American women who were a part of a major NASA space mission.
    5. The Lobster- The movie is set in a dystopian future where single people are put in a hotel where they have to find love in 45 days or else they are turned into an animal. Intriguing and very interesting.
    6. Moonlight- This movie chronicles the struggle of a gay black man growing up in Miami. It’s a neon soaked exploration of sexuality and masculinity in the modern world.
    7. Fences- An insight into the life of Troy Maxson, a Negro league baseball player who even worked as a waste collector.
The Oscars air this Sunday, so you know how to utilise this extended weekend.

On a track that was expected to be dominated by the spinners, Indian seamer Umesh Yadav reigned supreme with his tally of four wickets as Australia crumbled to 256/9 at the end of first day's play at the MCA stadium in Pune on 23 February.
    Umesh Yadav's favourite Test victims
    5 Shaun Marsh/David Warner
    3 Steve Smith#IndvAus
    — Mohandas Menon (@mohanstatsman) February 23, 2017 The right-arm pacer, who was not given the ball till the 28th over, dismissed dangerous-looking David Warner (38) early in the first session to jolt the Australian innings. It was the fifth time Yadav claimed the wicket of the Australian opener in Tests.
Well bowled by Indian bowllers special umesh yadav ????
    — Mohammed Shami (@MdShami11) February 23, 2017 But, his major contribution came in the post-tea session, where he picked up three quick wickets in the form of Matthew Wade (8), Steve O'Keefe (0) and Nathan Lyon (0) to push the visitors on the backfoot.
    © Twitter
Apart from Umesh, India's proven spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav also made their presence felt with their fair share of wickets. While Ashwin got the better of Matt Renshaw (68) and Steven Smith (27), Jadeja neutralised the threats from Peter Handscomb (22) and Mitchell Marsh (4).
4/32 by Umesh Yadav is his best figures in an innings in India bettering his 4/80 against WI in Kolkata in 2011.
    — Crazy Man  © ?? (@kasunniranjan) February 23, 2017 Jayant, who looked impressive in the last series against England, claimed the wicket of Shaun Marsh (16) but turned out to be a tad too expensive with his figures of 1-58 in 13 overs.
"The pitch is a raging turner."
    Umesh Yadav - 4 wickets.
    Jayant Yadav - 1 wicket.
    Raging turner. Raging bullshit. #IndvAus
    — Vivekanand S (@Farisky) February 23, 2017 Mitchell Starc, however, defied the Indian bowlers with a fighting unbeaten fifty (57*) to add respectability to Australia's score.
And, the hosts will be eager to see the back of the lanky Australian early on Day 2 as the excitement levels in the much-hyped duel between world's two top-ranked sides in the first of the four-match Test series aggravates.

Samsung is gearing up to announce their latest flagship phone in late March, however latest leaks are suggesting that the S8+ is supposed to have a massive screen. Evan Blass from VentureBeat posted S8+’s spec sheet on Twitter and it details that the next flagship phone from Samsung will have a massive 6.2-inch display size.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ spec sheet. Impress your friends, confound your enemies...with knowledge. pic.twitter.com/lHrHge8BUa
    — Evan Blass (@evleaks) February 22, 2017 It’s rumoured that the S8 will ditch physical buttons for a body that will have reduced bezels. The latest leak indicates that the S8+ might not be much larger than the Note 7, which had a display size of 5.7-inch. Previous leaks (pictured below) back up the claim of the S8 having an edge-to-edge display.
    © Twitter
These combined rumours surrounding the S8 pretty much confirm the renders that were leaked back in January were accurate. The leak claimed the larger version of the device would have a 6.3-inch screen. This would enable the removal of the home button from the bottom and the Samsung logo from the top. This will also be Samsung’s first phone where the screen will take up the majority portion of the smartphone’s front panel. However, the phone will still retain a small body for better accessibility and usage.
    © YouTube
Other details that have been revealed are the fact that the phone will have 64 GB storage and a microSD slot for expanding storage. In addition, the phone will also sport an iris scanner and will be water & dust resistant. It will even have support for wireless charging much like the previous iterations.

Ever since Saha took over the reins behind the stumps from Dhoni, many fans of the former wicketkeeper have built on the case that nobody could have replaced him on merit. Many still believe that Saha is no match to Dhoni’s wicketkeeping skills.
But your perception of Saha will change once you watch his incredibly tremendous effort behind the stumps to dismiss Steve O'Keefe.

Twitter erupted with praise after Saha’s superhuman effort. Here are some of the best reactions after Saha’s catch:
    Superman Saha #IndvAus pic.twitter.com/ggWTjTKsXB
    — Anand Katakam (@anandkatakam) February 23, 2017 Three wickets for Umesh. One wicket for Saha. That catch was just unbelievable. Haven't seen a better catch in a while. #INDvAUS
    — Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) February 23, 2017 Sensational catch from Saha and Umesh has his third wicket. The ball was flying and so was Saha, ends with a one-handed blinder #IndvAus
    — Cricbuzz (@cricbuzz) February 23, 2017 Umesh Yadav has been brilliant. Top catch that from Saha.Winning a session in India possible, but winning a day very very difficult.#IndvAus
    — Mohammad Kaif (@MohammadKaif) February 23, 2017 Brilliant from Saha. Such catches can lift bowler's effort too & Yadav comes up with a yorker first ball for Lyon. Advantage of toss gone...
    — Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) February 23, 2017 Right, here is a great example of a top keeper, Saha, converting a bowler's (Yadav's) skill into a wicket.
    — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) February 23, 2017 With that catch, Saha is now officially a superhero.
    We can call him Wriddhiman.
    — Fandromeda (@PlayFandromeda) February 23, 2017 #FlyingSaha is what we should call him, remember one he took against South Africa in Delhi #IndvAus #Ripper
    — Rohit Sharma (@ImRo45) February 23, 2017 At the end of the first day Australia were 256/9 with Mitchell Starc providing a late push for the visitors. With the pitch deteriorating throughout the day, the second day of the test match will be decisive as the Indian batting will be tested on a pitch which is starting to turn square.

You literally have NO stopwatch, no clock and no stop button on your system.  All you know is that there is a task at hand and you are the person to get that shit done. You wake up every morning at the same time, like clockwork. You don’t even need an alarm anymore. You’re already half way through your first cup of tea, or coffee and you’ve skimmed through your emails, sorting them out in order of importance—what needs attendance right away and what can wait for later in the day.
    © Unsplash
You have over three notebooks, or journals—one for meetings, appointments and work-related stuff; one to sort out your thoughts from time to time and yet another for miscellaneous scribbling in case you can’t get your hands on the previous two. You have a well-organised desk which is neatly stacked with books, memos, bills, diaries, cards and post-its. A calendar marks encircled dates of important events, deadlines that you need to attend to. Your phone is always on silent or the calls go unanswered because you honestly don’t even have the time to stare at the caller screen. You’ve made more commitments than you can singlehandedly uphold and yet, somehow you manage to do it, anyway. You’re on the constant lookout for interns and juniors but, somehow, none of them appeal to your professional self because, quite frankly, no one can do it the way you would do it.
    © Pexels
Your work ethic is stronger than your immune system and never mind the headache that’s been bothering you for over two days now, or the mild fever that’s not so mild anymore; if there’s work to be done, you’re doing it even if it’s the last thing you ever do.
You have a house to go back to everyday after work and yet, the walls of your home feel alien because you’re used to your office space; you have a friend circle that’s dwindling with each passing day because you either keep cancelling plans or you’re never around when they’re being made. You’ve missed birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, festivities and countless other “moments” that have led to friends and family members to distance their selves from you, simply because you’re a no-show. You’ve cancelled dates and dinners and prioritized meetings and assignments over love and relationships. You’d prefer the confines of your office chair over the comfort of your bed at home. You don’t get why nobody gets it. You don’t get how some people can measure their work by the hours and minutes’ hands of the clock. Work never stops, simple.
    © Pexels
Your work is your solace. You use it to block out the drama; you use it to block out the emotions. You use it as an excuse and an outlet for everything and everyone. If you had the option to choose between your work and dealing with people, you would probably choose the former… probably.
It’s a habit; not a good one. But, you haven’t yet passed the judgment on that. You’re going to let it just pan out and see what unfolds before you; after all, hard work always pays off. You’re sort of counting on that part because a part of you is afraid that otherwise, you might realize that it might all be for nothing; and that, just maybe, one day you’ll come out of all this alone, with no respite whatsoever. And you don’t want to think about that. So, you drown yourself in more work, all over again. It’s a Catch 22 situation. But, you don’t mind it. Internally, you’ve become robotic, you get in do your shit and get out. You have unseen radar when it comes to work. You can sniff it out even when there is nothing left to sniff at. You’re like the work police. You’ve mastered the art of blocking people and noise out; like a race horse with a one-track mind—tuned into your work station.
    © Unsplash
You know it’s a problem. People have literally scolded you to get out of your chair and go home already. You don’t. You secretly don’t know how to anymore. Leaving early, getting a day off feels weird, if not alien. And to be honest, you don’t know what to do about it. You have no life outside of your work. You’ve spent Valentine’s Day and your birthday working because what else would you rather be doing, anyway?
It’s not sad; it’s not ideal. It’s just what it is. One day… some day, you’ll probably look back at this and think of it as time well invested. Or at least that is the hope.

Delhi University is hurting. Last year, it was JNU. A simple protest march turned into a violent clash in which students, journalists and professors were injured and property, including media cameras, damaged. North Campus sees a lot of student activities and peaceful marches happening – it’s a student body and it’s imperative that it provides a peaceful platform for ideas and ideological disagreements to be put forward. That’s the beauty of how a university functions.
    © BCCL
But, of late, violence has crept in the circles of student politics. On Tuesday, Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) disrupted a literary event at Ramjas College, because JNU student-activist Umar Khalid was invited to speak at the session titled ‘Culture of Protest’. Agitating in the college, ABVP, a body that has much clout in the campus, was successful in forcing the organizers to cancel the session.
The students at Ramjas organized a protest march to Maurice Nagar police station which was attended by students and professors from Ramjas and other surrounding colleges, and mediapersons, who were covering it. What was to be a peaceful protest march soon turned into a violent clash as a scuffle between the student bodies AISA and ABVP went out of hand, when ABVP rushed in to confront the protestors.
“People from the ABVP are not allowing students who had come to attend a protest march to leave the college," said Kawalpreet Kaur, President of AISA, Delhi University unit.
To set record straight: ABVP louts attacked female activist in front of me. I intervened & was assaulted. If thats partisan so be it #Ramjas
    — Aditya Menon (@AdityaMenon22) February 22, 2017 Despite the heavy cover of policemen in the campus, the causalities were many. The pictures of the clash tell a sorry tale, and are enough to disturb anybody who has studied in the university and loitered around in the lanes of the campus in more peaceful times. When you go to college with your books and your lunch in your bag, you don’t expect to be manhandled and beaten up by so-called political activists.
One of the professors who was injured in the clash was Prasanta Chakraborty who teaches English at DU. The Telegraph reported him saying, "There were around 15 of them. They pushed me down, kicked and punched me and tried to strangle me with my muffler." "All the while," Dr. Chakraborty said, "the police stood as mute spectators watching me get thrashed."
Just can't get over this scene! Handful of "nationalists" trying to choke this professor with his muffler! THIS HAPPENED TODAY at #Ramjas ! pic.twitter.com/7Jh8ggrF5h
    — Ratnpriya. (@jimmy9_girl) February 22, 2017 Here's how Delhi Police picked a random person and bashed him without provocation till they realised he was a journo. #Ramjas @TheQuint pic.twitter.com/t0fKKPyfkO
    — Anant Prakash (@anantawasthi21) February 22, 2017 What happened at the university is scary and outrageous. Student politics has always been a stepping stone for aspiring politicians to find a way into the larger world of centre politics. Agitating has become a convenient tool to not just grab headlines but establish your political identity in the circles of student politics. The student leaders of today are the politicians of tomorrow and do we really want leaders who resort to violence at the drop of a hat? If these so-called student leaders believe that they have the right to physically assault someone whose ideology they don’t agree with, it makes one shudder thinking these very people could be calling the shots in centre politics a few years or decades later. The thought of such a future is scary, which is why it is imperative that the culprits are taken to task. A university is a place where ideas are exchanged, borrowed and created without fear – violence is one thing that has to always be highly unacceptable. It is a black day in the history of Indian academia.
This post by a student makes much sense here about an issue hijacked by political bodies.

Love them or hate them, but there was a time when you couldn’t avoid Linkin Park. Their music was everywhere and they had a very substantial fan-base here in India. Band co-founder Mike Shinoda decided to give a shoutout to all the Indian fans earlier today by tweeting a hilarious ‘desi’ pun using the lyrics from their newly released song ‘Heavy’.

Ever since, MMA champion Conor McGregor expressed his desire to lock horns with boxing sensation Floyd Mayweather, fans have been anxiously waiting for the epic showdown to become a reality.
While the latest developments have surely been a major boost for the highly-awaited duel, the details of their bout is yet to be finalised.
And, even if the world patiently waits for the exact time and date of the fight to be announced, the two iconic stars have kept the tempers soaring with their antics out of the the ring.

The video begins with the Irishman warming up his muscles before having his gloves strapped on and moving onto the punch bags.
Apart from his intimidating training videos, McGregor has also been vocal about his expectations from the mega fight. “Honestly, my fist is bigger than his head. I sleep people. I put people unconscious. I'm stating facts.”, says the brash Irishman.

“If I hit that man, his head is gonna go into the bleachers. You understand that? If I crack that little head of his, it's gonna go clean off his shoulders and up into the bleachers,” he told GQ Magazine.
The 28-year-old MMA war-machine had repeatedly stated in past interviews how he handily beats Mayweather if the contest goes beyond boxing rules. He has also ripped on the retired undefeated boxer for being unable to finish opponents and racking up decision wins.
    © Reuters
But, on the other hand, since the duel would be under boxing rules if it eventually does come to fruition, the vast majority are rightfully betting on Mayweather who retired after an extraordinary professional career record of 49 wins in as many bouts and no losses.
Well, no matter who you bet on, the much-awaited fight is clearly not one to miss especially with McGregor looking to make a point with his latest videos.

Sometime back, we saw this brilliant dance cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’ by the guys of IIT-Roorkee. Four young boys desperately trying to woo a girl, the cover by the IITians seemed all too real a problem.
And now, close on their heels, comes another dance cover video by choreographers Gaurav and Chandni grooving to Ed Sheeran’s latest. Check out their Facebook page for more such badass dance moves.

The love-hate relationship between MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag has been doing the rounds in the Indian cricket circuit for quite some time now. While multiple reports surfaced that Dhoni had a part to play in Sehwag's exclusion from the Indian side, Sourav Ganguly's comments that the former Indian skipper could've indeed had something to do with it, only fuelled the rumours.
Recently, when Dhoni was removed as the captain of Rising Pune Supergiants for the upcoming IPL 10 season, a lot of cricketers rallied behind the 35-year-old while criticising the decision of the team owners.

On one hand where former cricketers like Mohammad Azharuddin slammed the Pune management, Sehwag, in his inimitable style, stunned everyone by saying that he was happy with the decision. But, before anyone could jump to conclusions, the Indian batting legend clarified his comments.
"I am happy that he (Dhoni) isn't captain because maybe now my team (Kings XI Punjab) can beat this Pune team," Sehwag said during an interaction at SporTale. "On a serious note, I believe that this is an internal decision of the franchise but he is one of the best-ever captains India has ever had," he added further.

Pune's frailties in their maiden IPL season last year is believed to have led to the change in captaincy. Under Dhoni, Pune finished second-last in the previous season, winning just five games and losing nine in a campaign ravaged by injuries to key players.
It was also the first time a team led by Dhoni failed to make the IPL playoffs. Dhoni scored 284 runs in 12 innings at a strike-rate of 135.

When it comes to bodybuilding, it is like an ocean where you have thousands of theories regarding fat loss and muscle building. In this article, we shall be discussing one of the theories which has been around for ages- do we need carbs (with protein) immediately after a workout? Let’s get in to it then-
    Insulin Spikes © Thinkstock/Getty Images
This theory is basically based on the fact that we need insulin to be spiked post workout to trigger protein synthesis. But does that mean that it can only happen with the help of carbohydrates and is it really necessary for muscle growth? Well, a number of researchers completely contradict this hypothesis.
Study 1: Carbohydrates do not increase protein synthesis One study was conducted in the Netherlands, on a group of young men, split into 3 groups. Each ingested a different combination of protein & carbohydrates. Each group performed weight training for an hour and was given either protein or a combination of protein and carbohydrate each hour for the next 6 hours after training. The amount of protein for all the groups was 0.3g per kg of bodyweight. The protein and carbs varied as follows:
    • Group 1 - Just protein, no carbs
    • Group 2 - Protein with 0.15g per kg of body weight of carbohydrate
    • Group 3 - Protein with 0.6g per kg of body weight of carbohydrate
Protein synthesis rates were measured for 6 hours after training and the result of the study were as follows:
    1. The intake of protein post training increases protein synthesis.
    2. The addition of carbohydrates (whether in small or large amounts) to this protein did not further increase protein synthesis at all.
Study 2: Carbohydrates are not required to trigger protein synthesis © Thinkstock/Getty Images
The researchers compared two groups- one that consumed carbs and protein in a 2:1 ratio and the other that consumed only protein. Both the groups were given the same amount of protein.  After scrutinizing their blood samples, the researchers found that the individuals who consumed carbohydrates along with protein had an insulin spike with obvious hyperglycemia. However, this group had a greater portion of the protein ingested into the muscles. But contrary to that, after a few hours, the group which had only protein had equal protein ingestion in the muscles as compared to those who used the golden 2:1 carb and protein ratio. Another important thing to note is that the group which consumed both carbs and proteins had taken almost three times the calories that the protein-only group. Yet, there was no difference in the potential for muscle building in both the groups.
Insulin and Growth Hormone © Thinkstock/Getty Images
The respective studies substantiated that carbohydrates are not mandatory after a workout in order to attain hypertrophy. Moreover, as a matter of fact, the insulin and the growth hormone have an inverse relation with each other. If insulin will be at its peak, the growth hormone will be low. Therefore, for better functioning of growth hormone, we need to maintain a normal range of insulin.
Answer: While immediate consumption of quick digesting carbohydrates does spike insulin, it’s still debatable whether or not it helps in elevated levels of protein synthesis.

Apple is all set to open their brand new campus this coming April and has been dubbed as the ‘Apple Park’. The campus is 175-acres in size and will be ready for employees to move in this April. Over 12,000 employees will take over six months to move and construction at the Apple Park will continue through the summer for further expansion.
Steve Jobs envisioned the park as a creative hub for Apple and the transformation of the Santa Clara Valley into a haven of green space is underway. The campus looks like a spaceship thanks to the rings around the building, where the 2.8 million-square-foot building is covered entirely by curved panels of glass.
    © Apple
The campus will also have a 1000-seater glass cylinder auditorium, which has been aptly named, the Steve Jobs Theater. The auditorium was made in honour of the late co-founder, who would have turned 62 this Friday, February 24.
"Steve was exhilarated, and inspired, by the California landscape, by its light and its expansiveness. It was his favourite setting for thought. Apple Park captures his spirit uncannily well," said Jobs' widow Laurene Powell Jobs. "He would have flourished, as the people of Apple surely will, on this luminously designed campus."
    © Apple
“Steve invested so much of his energy creating and supporting vital, creative environments. We have approached the design, engineering and making of our new campus with the same enthusiasm and design principles that characterise our products,” said Jony Ive, Apple’s chief design officer. “Connecting extraordinarily advanced buildings with rolling parkland creates a wonderfully open environment for people to create, collaborate and work together. We have been extremely fortunate to be able to work closely, over many years, with the remarkable architectural practice Foster + Partners.”
    © Apple
Apple Park will also include a visitor’s centre with an Apple Store and cafe open to the public, a 100,000-square-foot fitness centre for Apple employees, secure research and development facilities and the Steve Jobs Theater. The parklands offer two miles of walking and running paths for employees, plus an orchard, meadow and pond within the ring’s interior grounds.
The Apple Park is powered by 100% renewable energy i.e. it will be powered by solar panels, which will generate 17 megawatts of solar power, required by the campus.

In last night’s conference, NASA made a huge announcement. We already knew it was related to new exoplanets, but it was revealed that a whole new system of Earth-size exoplanets has been discovered. Just a refresher, exoplanets are planets that orbit stars other than our sun, and NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope has found not one or two, but seven new planets which could potentially hold life. Dubbed Trappist-1, could potentially contain more than a few Eart-like planets.
An illustration by NASA, showing an artist’s concept of what the Trappist-1 system might look like:

This huge discovery has set a new record for highest number of habitable-zone planets found orbiting a single star outside of our
solar system. The most important thing to support life is water, and all seven of these planets could have liquid water under the right atmospheric conditions.
Take a 360° tour of TRAPPIST-1d, one of the Earth-sized plants in the newly discovered system ~40 light-years away: https://t.co/5mMKpRPcoc pic.twitter.com/RRuPiOleOe
    — NASA (@NASA) February 22, 2017 “This discovery could be a significant piece in the puzzle of finding habitable environments, places that are conducive to life,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, Associate Administrator of the agency’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington. “Answering the question ‘are we alone’ is a top science priority and finding so many planets like these for the first time in the habitable zone is a remarkable step forward toward that goal.”
This system of exoplanets is called TRAPPIST-1, , named for The Transiting Planets and Planetesimals Small Telescope (TRAPPIST) in Chile, and is about 40 light-years (235 trillion miles) from Earth. It was announced in May 2016 that researchers using TRAPPIST had discovered three planets in the system. Spitzer, along with several ground-based telescopes, including the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope, confirmed two of those planets and discovered an additional five planets, making the number of known planets in the system to be seven.
    © NASA
The size of these seven planets was also precisely measured with the help of the Spitzer data, developing the first estimates of the masses of six of them, allowing their density to be estimated. According to their densities, all the TRAPPIST-1 planets are likely to be rocky, and further observations would make it clear if they are rich in water. The mass of the seventh and farthest exoplanet still has not been estimated but scientists believe it to be an icy, snowball-like planet.
    © NASA
"The seven wonders of TRAPPIST-1 are the first Earth-size planets that have been found orbiting this kind of star," said Michael Gillon, lead author of the paper and the principal investigator of the TRAPPIST exoplanet survey at the University of Liege, Belgium. "It is also the best target yet for studying the atmospheres of potentially habitable, Earth-size worlds."
Need a recap of today’s TRAPPIST-1 announcement? Learn about these 7 Earth-sized planets orbiting a single star here https://t.co/R9xd5Dytlp pic.twitter.com/qWrE4R3flv
    — NASA (@NASA) February 22, 2017 NASA has classified the Trappist-1 star as an ultra cool dwarf, and is very cold and the planets orbiting very close to it could potentially hold liquid water. The seven planets in the Trappist-1 system are closer to their host star than Mercury is to our sun.
Unlike the planets in our solar system, these new planets seem to be ‘tidally locked to their star’, which basically means that they don’t rotate on their axis and the same side of the planet is always facing the star.

Rules should be made for the comfort of the citizens and we guess Sweden understands this way better than anyone else in the world. Working in the corporate sector can be really exhausting, not only physically but mentally as well and at times, not only affects us but hinders our relationship with our families. So, while we Indians might still resort to tea breaks or smoke breaks to rejuvenate ourselves from work related stress, a local Swedish councillor has proposed an unusual and very lucrative offer that will definitely be ‘hard’ to say no to – paid *** breaks during work hours.
    © Pexels
We are not even close to joking as the local councillor has actually suggested that people should take an hour off as a paid break from work, go home and have *** with their partners. This move aims to improve the personal relationships of the citizens. Now can someone please go and hug this councillor already! But we guess if it gets implemented he will be flooded with love from the Swedes. Honestly, we were wondering that it was some relaxation therapy from his end, but this proposal has left everyone stunned and our jealousy knows no boundaries.
    © Pexels
Now while the scenario is still believable in Sweden, if implemented, we Indians, especially the ones residing in Delhi-NCR, can’t even dream of completing half the journey in one hour, let alone have *** with our partners. Imagine you leave from work keeping the one-hour break in mind, but the only action you get en-route is watching the traffic lights and a trail of cars in full glory, near Cuber Hub and the toll road. According to Per-Erik Muskos, a 42-year-old city councillor, couples were not spending enough time with each other. But, he even stated that one can’t really guarantee whether the employee chooses to spend time with their partner or goes for a walk or do something else. Well, the person will be really stupid to prefer a stroll over ***. Muskos further mentioned that he does not find any reason why this motion wouldn’t pass.
Well, only time will tell whether this proposal gets accepted or not, but one thing is for sure that the Swedish are giving serious workplace goals to people across the world. We hope that India takes a cue and gives us paid breaks to rejuvenate ourselves, we’re not holding out for *** though.

If you’ve played ‘Dark Souls’ and know how the game works, you’ve probably heard of Team Ninja’s latest game Nioh as it has taken a lot of inspiration from the said series. The game is set between the popular myth about the Philosopher’s Stone and the thirst of war with Spain by the Queen of England. The game is set in the 1600s where there are some historical accuracies but also has fiction embedded in its tale like many other games out there. Having said that, we are introduced to William (based on the real-life William Adams) who hacks and slashes his way across Japan on an adventure to capture/retrieve the ‘Amrita’, a mysterious source of energy that enables man to rule the world. And somehow, the Amrita ends up in Japan.
    © Team Ninja
The game’s graphical design fidelity is astonishingly detailed and one can't ignore the picturesque vistas the game has to offer. From the breathtaking views of Japan’s countryside to the Sengoku area, the game is a marvel when it comes to graphic fidelity. The game explores one of the most interesting periods in history, mixed with mythology for good measure. Don’t get me wrong, it might sound very familiar to Assassins Creed, and rightfully so, but it is very different from what you might assume.
    © Team Ninja
We played the game on the Playstation 4 and the game does run at 30 FPS which was a huge disappointment. But in order for a game of this magnitude to run smoothly, some graphic fidelity had to be sacrificed. However, if you happen to own a 4K TV, you can enhance your experience. You can customise everything on your heads up display and since this game is extremely hard to play, the game auto skips cutscenes, which is the game’s saving grace.
    © Team Ninja
The plot of the game is not that interesting since the game does not take itself very seriously like the Soul’s series. The game is designed for the player to have fun and invest themselves into an eccentric cast of characters the game has to offer. The narrative is bewildered; however, the plot does escalate at some point and it is very easy to get enthralled by Adam’s story.
    © Team Ninja
I simply cannot fathom how well the levels and bosses are designed. Sometimes they are even more thought provoking than I expected. Some levels are complicated and are made to make you take a path that is destined to be your ultimate defeat. New enemies can pop-up at any time and they can overwhelm you with their intelligence and make sure you are caught off guard. As a player, you will require some skills because some of the major bosses can only be tackled if you have quick reflexes and quick thinking (I miserably failed at this one, often left frustrated and ended up shutting down the console). If you think you can predict or follow your enemy’s pattern, think again, because these enemies demonstrate no such actions. It is as if you are fighting a real-life samurai. Now, I might have made this game look extremely hard, but thankfully the developers added hints to help players progress in the game.
    © Team Ninja
Nioh, as a game, has absolutely no remorse for punishing players but it’s also never unfair. You have a bunch of strategic tools at your disposal; for example, you will find explosives near the battleground if your enemy is susceptible to fire. You will find objects and items that help you regenerate your stamina if you are about to clash with a demon that drains your stamina gauge.
    Verdict:
    © Team Ninja
Even though the game is difficult and has some nuances that I might not fancy, the game is fair when you try to complete any mission. The game never felt like a grind but like an obstacle I had to overcome. Victory in a battle never felt far-fetched which resulted in many nail-biting experiences. That is the reason why I got addicted to this game. Nioh is a thrill to play and its combat mechanism is addictive which can barely be matched by any other game.

Nioh is not the type of game I generally like to play; however, the game is very exhilarating and a lot of fun. It is probably one of the best games of its genre and a contender for Game of The Year.

After Shobhaa De’s verbal diarrhoea bout got her trolled, the police officer who was fat shamed by her has spoken up.
Heavy police bandobast in Mumbai today! pic.twitter.com/sY0H3xzXl3
    — Shobhaa De (@DeShobhaa) February 21, 2017 The police officer in question is Daulatram Jogawat, who is an inspector with the MP police. His obese look is not courtesy how Shobhaa mocked him.  Apparently, post a gall bladder operation in 1993, he has been suffering from an insulin imbalance in the body. In an interview, he said, "Nobody loves to be overweight. If madam knows about some weight-loss treatment, then help me lose weight. It is not good to mock someone without having any detail about the person."
Twitter is a ground where a lot of people mock others and sometimes, it is in good taste. But what Shobhaa did is clear crass and insensitive. Body shaming highlights the low mentality of the person trying to shame the other.  She eventually had to apologise after a hard lesson in being human.

For over 20 years, Akshay Kumar has been an ambassador of fitness. Not by endorsing any big time fitness brands but by being fit himself. Right from his inception in Bollywood to becoming one of the highest paid stars, this man has never looked for shortcuts to look good on the screen. You know what I mean by shortcuts, i.e. steroids or performance enhancing drugs. If you understand fitness, you know how rampant steroid use in Bollywood is. Short term transformations, chiseled in two months and all those unbelievable physiques, all this is very common. Akshay Kumar, for real, has never been a part of this brigade. He’s always been natural. If you have any doubts about that, look at his physique. Does he have a chiseled six pack? Does he have monstrous delts or a humongous chest? Well, no, he doesn’t. Apart from being a martial artist, Akshay is also a preacher and practitioner of calisthenics or body weight workouts. Not even once has Akshay, during his time on the screen, sported an unbelievable physique.

Yesterday, Akshay took to Facebook and talked about the importance of Ayurveda and other forms of Indian medicines that have immensely helped him stay in top shape. Here, take a look.

Akshay spent 14 days at an Ayurveda retreat in South India and used no social media whatsoever. He can be seen emphasizing on the importance of yoga and Ayurveda throughout the video.

The fear of heights is called as acrophobia and, believe it or not, a lot of people unknowingly carry the condition without ever realizing it.
Maximilien Van Aertryck and Axel Danielson are two Swedish filmmakers who have captured the emotions of random people who were asked to jump off a ten-metre diving board.
The agonizing process which is thrilling to the core shows how people react to jumping off into a pool from a vertigo inducing height. Watch the complete video here:

The short film, titled ‘Ten Meter Tower’ has generated a lot of buzz at the Sundance Film Festival just because of the pure emotional human drama originating from a simple task.
Would you ever participate in such a social experiment for $30 a jump?

Not to kill the general buzz on the internet or anything, but, if you’ve heard The Chainsmokers’ track, ‘Closer’ and you’ve heard their latest collaborative track with Coldplay called ‘Something Just Like This’, then you’d have to be absolutely tone deaf to not spot the uncanny resemblance in the background music and rhythm between the two tracks.
Coldplay has always done what they do best, time after time. And while I’m a little old school in the sense that I will always prefer their older stuff to the newer works, I’d never brush away the more contemporary work. Honestly, this has been one of the most talked about collaborations in recent times when it comes to international music. So, I expected a little more in terms of Coldplay lending more than just the voice and the lyrics to the song. There’s a very strong ‘Chainsmokers’ influence on the track and somehow, the Coldplay influence gets subdued in the whole thing.
But, hey that’s just me. I still think it’s a nice new track that’s going to be playing on all the radio channels, stereos and cars on the streets and at the next music festival happening.
If you’re a Chainsmokers fan, you’ll love the track. Bonus if you love Coldplay, too.
