    We live in a world where after years of evolution, there are people who still install walls of discrimination, the major figure here being America’s newest president, Donald Trump. All that travel ban and consistent hate for Muslims did nothing to the power of humanity. Defying all odds and winning every heart, the Oscars had a major surprise in store for the audience. Mahershala Ali became the first Muslim to win an Oscar for his stellar performance in ‘Moonlight’.

    The humble man, in his acceptance speech, was very gracious to thank his teachers and wife. “I want to thank my teachers, my professors. One thing they consistently told me […] was that it wasn’t about you. It’s not about you, it’s about these characters, you are a servant. You’re in service to these stories and these characters.” He then thanked his wife and daughter, who was born just four days ago. This win also makes Ali the fifth African-American to win an Oscar for his supporting role. Talent has no religion, no caste and the irony of this situation is that a travel ban on a community cannot bar the world from recognising hard work and dedication. Everyone on Twitter got excited to know that he had won.

    In a country where religion has played a pivotal role in separating Hindus and Muslims for the longest time now, Ahmedabad is setting an example that is restoring our faith in religion all over again. In the Kalupur area, people heard azaan from a certain mosque near Bakri Pol for the first time in 30 years and the credit goes to the strong voices from both the communities. The mosque was located near Ramji, Nagdalla Hanuman and Shesh Narayan temples, so the Muslims started avoiding the area after the 1984 communal riots. Things worsened after the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1993 and this mosque began to crumble. However, after suffering the wrath of the tension, this 100-year-old Kalupur mosque was reopened in March 2016 and in the sound of the prayers, one can even hear hatred getting drowned. This is no ordinary feat because the reopening of this mosque echoes the special bond shared by the Hindus and Muslims in this area, so much so that former even have a set of keys to the mosque.

    It was after the 2002 Gujarat riots that the residents around the mosque voluntarily showed desire to save it and it was then that the Hindus reached out to the Muslim people and contributed resources for repairs. After being reopened in 2016, a year later, people acknowledged that this reconstruction effort has actually laid bricks for a stronger bond between both the communities. “One set of keys is with Poonam Parekh and Kaushik rami who sell flowers near the mosque,” Aziz Gandhi, a social worker in Dariapur told The Times Of India. In fact, Rami even lights incense sticks twice a day near the mosque. He further added, “We are happy that the mosque that was closed for over three decades is now filled with devotees.”

    “With Haji Usmangani mansuri and other trustees of the mosque, we renovated the structure,” said Chandrakant Sharma, the priest of the Nagdalla Hanuman Temple. According to Sharma, earlier the Muslim youth had to go to other mosques to offer namaaz but now they won’t have to go out of their locality. Another resident of Dariapur, Hamidullah Shaikh, lauded the efforts of the Hindus and said “Our Hindu brothers helped us bring labourers to renovate the mosque.” We wish other people could have shared the similar bond and affection as them. But, now we can say that it’s not just the mosque that has reopened, it is their shared love and care that will stand strong as an example for many generations to come.

    After enjoying a sensational 19-match unbeaten run, Team India came down crashing against the Australian side to suffer their first-ever Test defeat since 2012 at home. The visitors outplayed the home side in all the three departments of the game to clinch a massive 333-run win in the first Test at Pune.

    The loss sent shockwaves across the Indian cricket community who had initially placed their money on the Indian side following their unbeaten run. If the defeat itself was not enough, the manner in which India lost undoubtedly got the players and their fans hanging their heads in shame.

    But, while a poor display by Virat Kohli's brigade spoiled the weekend for the home fans, the former Indian captain MS Dhoni seems to have given everyone a reason to cheer for.

    The 35-year-old, who has retired from Test cricket, cracked a scintillating hundred against Chattisgarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Eden Gardens on Sunday. Dhoni of the yesteryears once again came to the fore as he went on to smash a 107-ball 129.

India's total wealth has been estimated to be around $6.2 trillion (as of December 2016). We have 264,000 millionaires and 95 billionaires residing in the country. Surat is emerging as the fastest growing city as well. In terms of locality, the report listed out the most expensive localities in the country as well. Mumbai’s expensive areas include Bandra, Juhu, Goregaon, Parel, Worli and Palm Beach Road. In Delhi, Westend Greens, Dera Mandi, Greater Kailash and Lutyens are very expensive.

    Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills are the most expensive and for Bangalore, it is Indiranagar and Sadashivanagar.     Oscars is a big deal every year but the red carpet is where the eyes start rolling. Hot, beautiful people walking the red carpet, while we gape in joy at the visual treat. Two of our favourite women are all set to attend the Oscars and by the looks of it, they are having a blast. Deepika and Priyanka were spotted enjoying the Pre-Oscar party and both look ravishing in black.

    Even if one gets accidently hit in his testicles, the unbearable pain is more than enough to make one take extra care of his balls. We won’t judge you if you wear a metal case beneath your underwear to protect your private part. But, Wei Yaobin, a Kung Fu master from China and his students took blows on their balls in this video in a bid to apparently enhance *** life. What’s more, if asking one to kick wasn’t enough, the master was seen taking a brick and hitting himself and another guy was hit by a huge log of wood, leaving the viewers dumbfound.     World no. 1 Test side humiliated in their own backyard, a 19-match unbeaten streak broken and finally fortress India sacked. Or should we say SOKed?

    Not since 2012 had India lost a Test at home, and rarely in that stretch of 20 games had they even been held to a draw. Last time Australia toured India for a Test series they were crushed 4-0. Going into the recently-concluded Pune Test, the Oz brigade had lost their past nine Tests in Asia. And, their last Test match win in India dates back to 2004.

    So what the hell happened at the MCA stadium in Pune? Well, Steve O'Keefe happened.

    In the first Test of the four-match series (predicted by Sourav Ganguly to go in India's favour 4-0), Australia didn't just beat India, they massacred them. On a dry, turning pitch that should have suited Indian spinners, Steven Smith scored the lone hundred and O'Keefe took as many wickets as Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja combined.

    Such was the Australian spinner's domination, that his 12-70 were the best figures ever by a visiting spinner in a Test match on the Indian soil. Now the interesting question is, how did someone like O'Keefe who has played just five Tests ends up running through one of the strongest batting line-ups in the longest format?

    Well, if you would have read our previous article, you'd know that we did warn Team India about Sridharan Sriram. Now, who the hell is that you ask? In a nutshell, he is the Indian hand behind O'Keefe's dominant display in Pune.

    The Australian left-arm spinner was wicket-less after conceding 30 runs in the nine-over spell he had bowled on the second day before lunch. But during the interval, a chat with Sriram on the ground miraculously changed everything for the 32-year-old.

    O'Keefe went on to capture five wickets in 19 deliveries as India fell flat to post a first innings' total of just 105 runs, losing their last seven wickets for a mere 11 runs.

    Following his spell of 6-35 in the first innings, the Australian spinner was all praise for Sriram who seemingly made the difference with his words of wisdom.

    In a bid to tackle the Indian spinners on turning wickets, the Australians had also hired former England left-arm spinner Monty Panesar, but for O'Keefe, Sriram had been his "biggest influence".

    “He gets it, he understands how to bowl in these conditions, he understands what the batters are thinking,” O’Keefe revealed.

    "I think Sri is an excellent spin bowling coach. I've worked with him a couple of times now and he's really impressive," he added further.

    Sriram, the 41-year-old former Tamil Nadu left-arm spinner, was hired by Cricket Australia (CA) in September 2015 and worked as a consultant during their World T20 campaign in India last year. He was part of Australia's team management during their forgetful tour to Sri Lanka recently.

    Ahead of the four-match Test series, Sriram was busy imparting his knowledge to the Australian spinners on the custom-made pitches in Dubai as part of their preparations for the spin-friendly conditions in India.

    “Sri knows our players very well and has a wealth of knowledge on the conditions that our players will face in India,” Pat Howard, CA’s executive general manager of team performance, had said in January.

    While some might call him 'Lakha' from the movie Lagaan, O'Keefe's success in the first Test clearly proves that Sriram is one hell of a spin doctor and India should have probably hired him before the Aussies did.

    A Sanskrit version of ‘Cheap Thrills’ is doing the rounds and it is pretty entertaining. The song has been sung and translated as an attempt to promote the ancient language. Decide for yourself about how do you feel about this version. Why Sanskrit you ask? Well, because ‘sanskar’ wins over anything else! Also, it might be the next ‘pooja’ anthem.

    One of the leading smartphone manufacturers, BlackBerry, is back in action with its new model called ‘KEYone’, which is basically an old wine packaged in a new bottle. While the world is running after touch screen displays and how to incorporate unique features in the touch keypad, BlackBerry has re-introduced the users to physical QWERTY keyboard. There is no denying the fact that the physical keyboard was being dearly missed and coming from the ‘pro’ that BlackBerry is, one can be assured that there is much more in store for the users than what meets the eye. What’s more, it is being said that the smartphone that was codenamed as ‘Mercury’ is being launched as ‘KEYone’ and we just can’t wait to get our hands on this device.

    This smartphone was announced in Barcelona at a press conference and deemed as a phone for “BlackBerry purists”, it is said to be an enterprise-friendly device supported by the company’s DTEK software. Talking about the features, the keyboard is not any regular typing tool, it can act as a touch-sensitive control pad that can help one in adjusting the cursor while working on text documents and emails. In fact, the letters can be programmed to start certain apps, when you tap on them or press them for a long time. This means the physical keyboard can launch up to 52 shortcuts. Whoa!

    Other features include a 4.5-inch screen with 1080p display above the keypad, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 8MP front camera and 3505 mAh battery.  The phone is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor and will run of Android 7.1 Nougat. The phone is set to go on sale from April and is reportedly priced at $549 (Rs. 36,580 approx.) So, all you BlackBerry fans, start chuckling your muscles and gear up to bring home the joy of owning KEYone.

    Even though Amit Sadh is slowly but gradually setting his foot in Bollywood with upcoming films like ‘Sarkar 3’, he had decided to take time off and make his childhood dream come true 2 years from now. In 2019, Amit Sadh will be going on an adventurous expedition to climb the Mount Everest and we’re as thrilled as him.

    When you cannot find seat in a crowded metro or a bus, you stand around, and that’s okay. But ever heard about passengers standing in the aisle? Well, a Pakistani airline made that happen. Recently, a flight from Karachi to Saudi Arabia was overbooked and instead of 409 passengers (which was the capacity), the airlines issued hand-written boarding passes to 7 extra people.

    Eventually, these passengers stood in the aisle. Yes, not kidding. The airlines breached air safety rules like it’s no ones business. While the aviation authority is dodging the blame around each other, the captain of the Pakistan International Airline flight, Anwer Adil has his own explanation for this mess up. “After take-off when I came out of (the) cockpit, (the senior purser) informed me that there were some extra people who (had been) boarded by the traffic staff. I also noticed some people were those who were categorically refused jump seats by me at the check in counter before the flight”, he said in an interview. He couldn’t fly back to Karachi as that would have meant wasting fuel.

    Well, this seems like for the authority, it was a matter of sheer negligence, something which they are okay with, and are brushing it off as ‘no big deal’.

    After enjoying a sensational run in the longest format at home, Virat Kohli-led India were finally shot down by a much-superior Australian brigade who scripted a massive 333-run win on a rank turner at Pune to take 1-0 lead in the four-match Test series.

    Riding on the heroics of Steven Smith and Steve O'Keefe, the visitors defeated the home side in almost every facet of the game with a staggering seven sessions to spare in the Test match.

    Smith had slammed a brilliant hundred in the second innings, but it was the left-arm spinner who did the bulk of damage to the opposition and emerged with sensational figures of 12-70 in the match. While his performance was understandably lauded by the cricket fraternity, O'Keefe's exploits also seemed to excite his former teammate Mitchell Johnson.

    Following Australia's mammoth win, the former Australian speedster got in a trolling mood and aimed his words at none other than Team India coach Anil Kumble who had commented on O'Keefe's performance saying that he bowled steady and in the right areas.

We saw Jadeja in the last session where every over he was beating the bat three times. It was just one of those days where on another day, they would have all taken the edge or got a wicket.     Ever since then, be it their red carpet appearances or the international talk shows they were invited to, controversies were rife that all’s not well between PC and DP! Deepika Padukone has time and again been compared to Deepika Padukone and her legendary success in the recent times and we think it was about time Deepika spelled things out for everyone.
    At a recent event, Deepika was asked what she felt about these comparisons. “At a personal level, I know Priyanka very well for any sort of comparisons. It feels weird on being compared to her because our worlds are totally distinct. What she wants to achieve and what she is working towards is different from what I am doing. Her demands and requirements are completely different from mine. These comparisons are so bizarre." Pat came the reply!

    On 22nd February 2017, lines were crossed, voices were hushed and the liberties of a nation were shaken up. A peaceful protest that was meant to be nothing but healthy dialogue and debate went horribly wrong at an institution of education. Violence prevailed; as it always does with the ABVP. And while there is a whole lot that is already going around the newspapers, the broadcast channels, as well as the internet, here are four bone-chilling accounts of what went on at the Ramjas College protests that went on way beyond just the college premises. What you realize from all the accounts is one thing: The damage was intentional; if not planned. 
    Professor Asha (name changed), Kirori Mal College 
    "We were called for an open protest and what I saw was a mix of organizational students as well as students who didn’t belong to any political parties as such. We saw cops and some ABVP students—while it is difficult to tell just from looks whether or not someone belongs to ABVP, there were some prominent faces from the organization who we know are from ABVP. 
    The police were trying to control the crowd that was gathering outside. When we entered the hall, there was a sea of people who looked like students. Some were saying “Protest is our right.” The other goons said, “You will not be allowed to protest.” They were running after the students and beating them up. The principle tried to control the situation; but, he was weakened by the enormity of the whole situation. They had only asked for the right to have a free-willing discussion and obviously, once the goons began attacking them, they didn’t back down either. 
    When I came outside I couldn’t get back in. They had shut the college gates till 4:30pm. The rest of us were outside, telling the police that they could not keep the students locked inside like that. The ABVP guys then, started pushing us and throwing stones at us. In the images, there seems to be a tussle going on. But, really there was no tussle; it was just the ABVP guys pushing us, hitting, kicking and abusing us. They got their female cadres to do all of that to us. They did not stop once and began to push and throw thing and abuse us. 
    I have been here for almost 2 decades now and I have never seen a protest stoop to this level. This was a completely different generation of goons. This seemed like an organized plan. The excuse of stopping an Umar Khalid or a Shehla Rashid was just a cover up. The police was on their side and they only tried to minimize the damage; not stop it. In fact, after a while the police surrounded us on both sides and suddenly we were surrounded by ABVP on all four sides. Then, they started pelting stones at us, as well as huge chunks of cements that had been taken from broken walls. They even brought out metal wrenches to hurl at us.

    A student (well known) had been  standing and watching what was happening, from a distance. Someone attacked him from behind. He had been hit with a sharp object from behind, on the head and he fell off the pavement and onto the road. When I went over and saw, he had been bleeding from behind his head and had a cut that was at least 4 inches apart. 
    It’s not about one or two professors, it’s about the political groups proclaiming that they would stand against anything and anyone who defied “our idea of India”. Right now there is too much happening and I have no hopes from the government. The police are just the apparatus. 
    Later on, I tried to help two injured students to a hospital but we were chased down by 20 of the goons who managed to get hold of the autorickshaw. And when I tried to ask for help from the police, they instead, retorted by saying, “Aap logon ko na Pakistan ya Bangladesh mein hona chahiye”. Another female cop even said, “Abhi aapko dar lag raha hai, naare lagate waqt darr nahi laga tha?” 
    Professor Bhawna (name changed), Professor, Ramjas College 
    “The protest was not organized by the college; but by the AISA. It was organized against the violence ABVP showed while protesting against Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid. They wanted to start the protest outside of the college. IDs were checked time and again and yet, people got inside. There were about 250 police deployed for that particular day. But, suddenly at around 1pm, they started to beat up the people instead. All 250 of them came and began beating up the teachers and students alike. It was bad! Usually during such protests, teachers are the ones who can intervene and stop the protests. But this time, even the teachers were targeted. Trust was broken. There was death in their eyes. They meant to harm and hurt us. The police could have easily broken it up by calling for bused, doing a lathi charge and stopping it once and for all. But, they didn’t. 
    About 60 odd students were holed up inside the college, sitting in a circle, along with the teachers and they tried singing peaceful songs to distract themselves from the tension as the policemen rounded them up. But these people hurled chairs at them when they did that. They just entered our classrooms dictating terms on what to teach; that’s not a university. 
    It’s not about nationalism or anti-nationalism. It’s about universities; the right to education; the students and being able to give them an education the right way. The only way for them to shut anything down has always been violence. Even when the principle was ready to talk to them they were jostling him. 
    Now, they’ve begun singling out teachers for speaking up. They’re a bunch of hooligans and their idea of democracy is majority. Might is right.” 
    Vaishnavi Bhargava (name changed), Alumni, Delhi School of Economics
    “I reached at around 1:30pm outside Ramjas and got to know that ABVP were already beating up people inside. I heard someone saying they were vying for Mukul Mangalik’s blood and so he had been asked to stay away from the college. 
    We then, began sloganeering and that’s when the ABVP came out. Among them were their prominent leaders—Satendra Awana, Mehul Parashar, Mahamedha Nagar. 
    They then began charging at us; the police initially did try stuffing them into their van but it was more like a joke because they came back out just as easily and started jumping on the vans shouting out slogans, like Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

    They were coming at us from all sides. One of my friends fell after being hit by a brick. They used stones, metal tools. They had come prepared; there was nothing spontaneous about their attack. At one point they even threw glass bottles at us. Women were kicked, scratched beaten up.  This went on for an hour. Then we began marching but they blocked us at Art Faculty and pushed us against a wall. We finally reached Morris Nagar Thana weher we resolved to file an FIR. There too, they threw eggs and at one point a large rock was thrown. There was no police to our aid. Their rampage went on for a good 3 to 4 hours. We began getting phone calls from our friends at Ramjas who said that the college gates were shut and no one was allowed out, while the Ramjas ABVP mob created sort of hysteria among the students and teachers inside. They were finding people alone and beating them up. They’re cowards, like that for wanting to beat us up. 
    There were no naaras of Bharat Ke Tukre Tukre karna, or anything like that. In fact, even the footage ABVP as released of Mukul Manglik shouting about meethi azaadi is forged because there is a strong Kashmiri accent to the voice that doesn’t belong to him. 
    This was not a clash between two student bodies. This was a straight out attack by the ABVP.”

    “22nd February 2017 was when I heard about the protests ad ensuing violence. I made frantic calls to friends and spoke to my teachers. The horror stories that emerged were disturbing to say the least.
    23rd February 2017, I joined the protests in front of the Delhi Police headquarters at ITO. We assembled at around 11 am in front of Gate no.5 ITO Metro station. By 11:30 there were around 200 of us. Gate no.5 had been shut and we had collected with banners and posters right on front of the empty lot. There were around 200 police officials on duty around us. 
    It wasn’t organized by left-wing student organizations but had emerged from the common students themselves. There were members of SFi/AISA in attendance, sure, but the majority was comprised of angry students and alumni and disgruntled faculty members as well. There was sloganeering, which began at around 11:45 am. The demands raised were that an FIR be filed against the ABVP workers and that the Delhi Police officials who had been complicit in the campus violence on 22nd should be suspended.

    The session moved on to firsthand account of what the students and teachers faced. How they were brutally attacked, pulled from the vans, scratched, beaten all the while the Delhi Police looked on. Umar Khalid was also present in solidarity with the protesting students.
    There was a delegation formed from within the crowd of the students and teachers who were present on 22nd in campus and they went on to speak to Delhi Police.  At around 14:30 pm, SBK Singh, Special Commissioner, Delhi Police, came out to hear what we had to say. He said there is no provision in the law to file separate FIR’s and that is why the Police had filed ONE blanket FIR which clubbed ABVP and every protesting student as AISA under one umbrella. 
    The filed FIR was read out and the police broke in to draft a public notice and complete the proceedings so that the case can be transferred. As of now – The Crime Branch has been handed the case and any student who wishes to give any statement/complaint pertaining to the incident can mail it to dcp.crime@delhipolice.gov.in.The students are also speaking to various lawyers and want to file FIR’s as well as go about it according to the due procedure of law. 
    A university is a space for dissent and discourse. Just because your politics and ideas differ from mine doesn't mean I'm wrong and you're right or vice versa. Engage. Talk. Protest. But don’t doctor footage or assault innocents to validate your claim.”

    This is the kind of environment we are living in. George Orwell’s 1984 is India’s 2017. Democracy no longer exists; unless it now means, might is right. We still seek hope from the Constitution as being the only document to uphold our human liberties. We are governed by parties that believe in law and order that stems from violent uproars and bloody blows on commoners. Dare speak up or you’ll be hunted down, singled out and defamed in the middle of the streets. Dare utter a word, or you will be threatened to have been cut open by prominent leaders in the middle of police officers in a police station and no one can do anything about it. This is not about the universities. This is not about freedom of speech and expression. This is much bigger, my fellow Indian. This is new-age politics. This is a conspiracy and this is massacre and your hands are either tied or bloody!

    The Indian state of Kashmir has had a tumultuous past and the present too doesn’t look very hopeful. The mass-scale exodus of Kashmiri pundits more than two decades ago from the state is still a painful blot in the history of the beautiful region. In the Bandipora district of Kashmir, lies an ancient Shiva temple that’s hasn’t been visited by too many devotees in the past few years, because naturally, most of the Hindus had to leave their home behind and migrate to other states.

    Like they say, there’s always a little hope even in the darkest of times. Yesterday, the Shiva temple saw devotees offering prayers at the eve of Maha Shivaratri. And the devotees were Muslim. Kashmiri Muslims turned up at the temple, carrying placards asking Kashmiri Pandits to return to their homeland and celebrate festivals together.

    Led by a local contractor Imtiaz Ahmad, they cleaned the temple and performed the rituals associated with Maha Shivaratri, a festival that is widely celebrated amongst Hindus, and particularly Kashmiri Pandits. NDTV reported Mr Ahmad saying, "That is why we entered the temple, cleaned it... (We did) whatever we could do since we are Muslims, not Pandits. In our humble way we performed puja here.”
    Another Kashmiri Muslim who came to spread the message of communal haromony was reported saying, "They are part of our body and soul which has been snatched and separated from us. Today we are sending a message to them. Please return, we are with you."

    There is a lot of tension in the valley and chances are, there still will be. But such gestures of communal brotherhood between the people will only work to help the wounds heal faster. What will the militancy or the powers-that-be do if the people support each other unconditionally?

    What happened at Delhi University’s Ramjas College was a blatant violation of democracy. A peaceful march disrupted by ABVP members led to innocent student, professors and mediapersons being injured. Students from across the country have come together to voice their dissent against ABVP. Among them is Gurmehar Kaur, the daughter of Kargil martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, who has started a social media campaign against the violence perpetrated by ABVP.

    Gurmehar posted a picture of herself on her Facebook profile with the message: "I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP". 
    Her appeal for support against ABVP got a huge response from people on social media and soon enough, young people changed their Facebook profile pictures with the same message, to show solidarity for the students of Ramjas College.

    Gurmehar lost her father in the Kargil War of 1999 when she was just two years old. By raising her voice against ABVP—whose main premise for the agitation was the fact that Umar Khalid, branded by some as ‘anti-national’, was invited to speak at Ramjas—Gurmehar has made a strong point. That nothing, absolutely nothing, gives anyone a right to physically attack someone. Hurling bricks at a crowd gathered for a peaceful protest march was a disrespect of democracy. The tension between India and Pakistan doesn’t give a politically-driven organization to agitate on the pretext of protecting national interests.

    We all want to share perfect pictures on social media that reflects our best features. We all know it isn’t real life, it’s an alternate reality where we all share key highlights of our lives. 
    I personally know people who would spend an entire day editing photos so that they can share the perfect picture on Instagram. People experiment with filters and tune images to get rid of all imperfections their face or body might reflect. Another scum of social media that has infested our timelines are food bloggers. They spend hours fine tuning pictures of food that take them from average looking to edible.  
    Similarly, we all obsess looking at fitness models on Instagram and brood over the fact of how perfect they look. However, it is also a known fact that even the fittest of the fit do not actually look like that all the time. The secret behind these ‘Instagram Fitness Models’ having such perfect pictures is because they take advantage of good lighting. 
    This is exactly what fitness blogger Anna Victoria tried to prove via her Instagram account. She has amassed over 1.3 million followers on Instagram where she gives her followers competent diet plans and exercise routines. Unlike other bloggers who like to flaunt their achievements, Anna actually tries to motivate people to try and get in shape.

    In the post, Anna says, "Lighting. Is. Everything. 99% of pictures you see on social media are taken in the best possible lighting and that ain't no accident.
    "So when I got into the elevator with the lighting on the right, I zoned in on the cellulite on the back of my arms. Yes, cellulite on your arms is a thing!
    "I've had it since the beginning of my journey and while it's lightened up since then, it's still not totally gone... because I'm human. Seriously, girls, stop thinking you're the only one with cellulite and that it's some kind of disease!"

    The Deadlift is the grandfather of every back workout. Well, after all, it hits the biggest muscle groups of the body. However, in this article we will not be discussing the benefits of the deadlift or why you should do it. Rather, we will be highlighting one of the most ignored yet important part of the lift, and that is the grip.
    The grip plays a major role in any lift. A good grip can either make your set productive or give you a cranky back.  So which is the best grip for a deadlift?  Let’s get into it:
    The Evil Mixed Grip

     If you notice, most of dudes who have been lifting for a long time will grab the bar with a mixed grip in order to perform the lift. Reason being, the mixed grip is the strongest grip when it comes to lifting heavy and you can prevent the bar slipping off your hands.  However, this grip is not at all healthy for the shoulder and elbow joints and can cause some serious muscle imbalances. In the mixed grip, one hand is pronated (overhand grip) and the other is supinated (underhand grip). In the supinated grip, the shoulder is externally rotated, and while lifting the bar, an extreme tension occurs in the elbow joint as well. As a result, the long head of the bicep is vulnerable to injury and can even lead to bicep tendinitis.   
     Here is why the overhand grip is the best bet

    If you ask a novice to grab and lift the bar with both hands to perform a deadlift, chances are that he will instinctively go for an overhand aka pronate grip. The overhand grip is a default grip for most of the people and in fact, it is comparatively safe for the joints. This grip allows the body to maintain symmetry in the shoulder girdle and one can create a better kinetic chain while lifting the bar off the floor. However, this grip could be slightly weaker than the mixed grip. But, one can definitely work on grip strength by practicing. Several deadlift records have been cracked by using the overhand grip which substantiates that one can definitely break a deadlift personal record using the overhand grip

    Give it shot. Initially, it may be uncomfortable but adaption is the key.  Moreover, always remember, squeeze the barbell as hard as you can, stay tight, maintaining a neutral spine and there you go. The practice will allow you to train peoperly and make you resilient to injuries.

    The Dot Watch Braille Smartwatch has been in turmoil for almost three years but it will finally begin to start shipping next month. The watch has been created for the visually impaired and it is the world’s first smartwatch that has the ability to dispense information using a unique tactile watch-face. The device can also accept/decline calls, check messages, tell you the time and set alarms via a Bluetooth connection with a smartphone.

    The blind have been using smartwatches but they have relied on audio prompts rather than to something they are more accustomed to. Dot Watch’s smartwatch uses four cells out of six tiny moving components. Due to the fact that it is so compact, it can only display four characters at a time, i.e. it is not meant for longer texts.

    There are also two buttons on the watch, which enables the user to accept calls and send replies. The third button, which is bigger than the other two; acts as a remote control for the device that is connected via Bluetooth. The watch also has a gyroscope, navigation and an accelerometer.

    Dot Watch’s founder, Eric Ju Yoon Kim, detailed that over 100,000 devices are going to be shipped this year and Stevie Wonder will be the brand ambassador for the smartwatch. The device will probably cost $320(Approx INR 22,000/).
