Virat Kohli seems to have hit the purple patch in all aspects of the game and this little incident from the just concluded Bangladesh series proves so. With seven wickets left to win the game on the final day, India started pretty well and knocked off Shakib early in the morning.
And so, on the last day of the test match, with the game pretty much in the bag; Virat Kohli didn’t let complacency seep in even when the last pair were on the ground. With just one wicket needed, the second last session of the day witnessed some pretty amazing scenes.

Ashwin, while bowling to Taskin Ahmed, induced an edge or so it seemed at that time. The ball seemed to have caught an edge onto the pads to be caught by the close-in fielder. But, as it happened, the ball had missed the edge and went straight onto the pads, which made Taskin Ahmed a candidate for an LBW appeal. Virat, after receiving the not-out ruling from the third umpire quickly went for a review as the ball had hit Taskin directly on the pads.
Here’s a recap of the whole incident as commentated on Cricbuzz:
“Ashwin to Taskin Ahmed, out LBW!! The umpires take matters upstairs. It is their review. Looking for a bump ball as Taskin looks to clip it away. So here we go on the slow mo - nothing off the bat. Just that it jammed the turf. And the ball missed it. Onto the pad. The third umpire flashes some greenery on the screen. All this for Kohli to flash a 'T' and keep him indulged further. Now the LBW is in check. Very full, and three reds. Uppal's decibels go off charts. India clinch another - should I say series.”

With the Australian series starting from 23rd Feb. We hope that Virat Kohli continues to enjoy the rub of the green for the rest of the year.

Bollywood is finally coming of age, with filmmakers pushing the envelope with their projects, addressing subjects that are only spoken of in hushed tones. And, it was high time someone made a film representing the LGBTQ community. Cut to January 2017, when Sonam Kapoor unveiled the trailer of ‘Sisak’, India’s first silent LGBTQ film. It was a pleasant surprise to see the internet embrace it whole heartedly and start a conversation around it. The film has garnered praise from all over the country and is not-so-slowly making its way to renowned film festivals, all over the world. A lot is being written about ‘Sisak’ and it was only fair to have a conversation with director Faraz Mariam Arif Ansari, about how his life has changed post the ‘Sisak’ trailer release and his take on being a proud gay man in India.
Congratulations on all the love and appreciation that has come your way through 'Sisak'. I'm sure it'd be difficult to say, but how does it really feel?
I truly think when you make something with all your heart and soul and half of your life savings (haha!) it is only very kind of the universe to give back and so generously, at that. It is truly very overwhelming and humbling. It makes me realize that if you do stick around and don't ever give up, miracles do happen. Also, it makes me think that people are SO HUNGRY for good cinema that is not the usual naach-gaana. They want soulful, heartfelt stories. I am just so glad that I made ‘Sisak’. When you wake up every morning with at least 5 messages from closeted people from the most interior parts of our country, thanking you because the trailer has given them courage, strength and the will to go out and be themselves, I think, that is my true victory.

Given the homophobic Indian context, a movie on the LGBT community isn’t the most viable option, clearly, in terms of public support and box office numbers. What really inspired you to make ‘Sisak’ and how long have you been working on this project for?
I wrote ‘Sisak’ in the winter of 2013 when the Supreme Court went back on section 377 and an entire section of the population was declared as criminals for loving. It took me three long years to gather the courage and wisdom to make ‘Sisak’. It was to address this homophobia and fear that nestles in the hearts and minds of people, for they know no better. I mean, what can truly be wrong in two people loving each other with mutual consent, right? There are bigger demons that we should be fighting together. I have made ‘Sisak’ for the people, to reach out to them and show them a love that is like all other loves. The fact that it happens between two men doesn’t change a thing. Love is love.
Tell us something we don’t already know about ‘Sisak’. How did Jitin and Dhruv become a part of the film?
The casting process of ‘Sisak’ was the most taxing. Most actors are so used to a script with dialogue while auditioning. But here, all they had to do was sit and read a book and at some point, look at someone who is staring at them.  After rejecting more than 300, I was reconsidering making ‘Sisak’. Until  I auditioned Jitin Gulatin and Dhruv Singhal. They surrendered to my brief and I was extremely surprised to see them give life to the kind of cinema I believe in – slice-of-life. The workshops with the homosexual community brought in a lot of gravity to their performances.

I read somewhere you were discouraged by a lot of people for taking up this project. One trailer and everyone is talking about ‘Sisak’. Are you surprised or did you always know it’ll be the talking point?
If I have to be very honest with you, I did expect a good response but I did not expect what is currently happening with ‘Sisak’. Everyone is talking about it. Perhaps, it is the most talked about short film ever without any big names or sponsors attached with it. ‘Sisak’ has found its own wings. That makes me immensely proud and also, it is a very humbling experience. I mean, I set out to make a film that nobody believed in except my cast & crew. I made it with my own life savings and crowdfunding. Look where it’s headed!
What really makes you feel so strongly about the LGBT community? Is there an agenda or are you just trying to tell a story without any agenda?
Cinema is single-handedly responsible for the way most of us dress, to the way we talk, to the way we react and most importantly, the way we THINK. The LGBTQI+ community has suffered immensely. We’ve been burnt like witches, thrown out of our homes, disowned by family, killed by people whom we caused no harm to. We’ve been detested and laughed at. There is every reason for me to make films not just for entertainment but to bring about a solid change. I want to make it mainstream so that reaches even the innermost corners of the world. I feel it is time to get on center-stage and start talking. We’ve lingered far too long in the shadows.
    © Faraz Ansari
You’ve been vocal and unapologetic about your identity. But do you think people tend to assume one’s sexual orientation just because he/she is associated with a film with LGBTQ community?
No one questioned Ang Lee about his sexuality when he made ‘Brokeback Mountain’, no? I feel that assumptions of any sort are dangerous. Yes, people do think that. ‘Oh, he’s made a gay film so he must definitely be gay’. But does any of that really matter? No. As long as you know what you are doing, why you are doing it and have your heart, head and soul in place, the rest will eventually fall in place. Doesn’t that matter the most?
Tell us about the contributions of heterosexual artists in this film so we can bust that myth right away!
More than half of my crew is heterosexual and my entire cast is made of two straight men. Sexual preferences and film-making have nothing to do with each other really. I mean, I can be a carpenter and be gay and I can be a fashion stylist and be straight. We have come too far too be caught up in these silly roles that one wants the world to adhere to. I know many straight men who are effeminate and many gay men who’d pass as ‘straight’. Sexuality & gender is all fluid and that’s the beauty of it all.
    © Faraz Ansari
Would you like to share any instances of homophobia from your personal life?
It’s constant. From being teased in school to being laughed at just yesterday while walking down the street – homophobia never ends. But then, I know many who suffer way more. People have lost lives because of their sexual preferences. Some have been pushed down from their terraces, some have been found lying in the sewers. Some have been shot in the face and left to rot on the highway and some have never been loved. I can’t compare any of what I have been through to that. But yes, it is scarring and hurtful and should stop.
Was the film fraternity supportive of this film? Did you sense any kind of apprehension in Indian actors to play gay characters on screen?
I am still waiting for a reply from this super famous (closeted?) homosexual filmmaker who I had reached out to, to help me promote the film. That kind of sums it up, no? Before Jitin and Dhruv, there were two fairly known actors who had agreed to act in the film but backed out just before we started shooting. They didn’t want to play homosexual men because they wanted a ‘successful’ Bollywood career ahead. But then, at the same time, there is also Sonam Kapoor, the Fairy Godmother of ‘Sisak’ who presented the trailer of the film to the world. I will always be indebted to her generosity.
    © Faraz Ansari
'Sisak' is unconventional in every way. First, it's about two gay men. Second, it's a silent film. What's the idea behind making a silent film? Is it a metaphor? And more importantly, how much of a task was it to tell a story without using words?
Why silent? Well, other than being a social comment on the state of the LGBTQI community in India, it’s the dire need to be heard. I had so much to say that words were falling short. I feel, words are poor comforters. People need to feel what you are feeling. ‘Sisak’ has been immensely difficult to make - no permissions, no budgets, just heart and the will to make something beautiful.
All these years of discrimination and plain ignorance has led to this ridiculous notion that a gay man isn't really a man. As a proud gay man yourself, what do you have to say about that?
I remember, I met a bi-curious man once who wanted to have *** with me. We went out for a date and then, he asked me the most ridiculous question, "Do you have a dick?" I remember, I spat my coffee over his face and laughed so hard that I literally had to rush to pee. I mean, how ridiculous is that? Yes, I am a man. Yes, I have a *****. And yes, I am gay. I am a man who loves a man. That ignorance is bliss is a lie. People need to be spoken to, only because they don't know.
    © Faraz Ansari
What's the most heartwarming piece of appreciation that has come your way so far?
Oh God, this is truly an endless list. I wake up every morning to be surprised and overwhelmed with all the appreciation and love. But if I have to truly nail it down to one, it was this one time when a woman my mother’s age walked up to me, holding a newspaper with my interview on it. She gave me this wonderful hug and thanked me for doing something so courageous. She made me FaceTime with her son and his husband. After that, she invited me over for dinner and told me how she was going to lose her own son once and how it had taken her years to accept him and now, when she had, she was only proud of him. She hugged me and wept when I showed her the first 5 minutes of the film.
What do you have to say about the gay caricatures we see in mainstream films today?
The portrayal of homosexuals in Bollywood has been very unkind and stupidly stereotypical. What is more sickening is that homosexual filmmakers have themselves gone ahead and stereotyped gay men even further by portraying them as wife snatchers, effeminate queens or men who dress in drag. And this only comes from a lack of knowledge, perhaps fear and self-loathing because some of them are closeted homosexuals themselves.
    © Faraz Ansari
Not every film's success can be marked by box office numbers. How would you like to measure the success of 'Sisak'?
I am doing three interviews a day on an average. So, a dialogue has already started. I think, in opening a healthy dialogue and educating people is where ‘Sisak's’ success lies and that has already begun!
If you could give one piece of advice to Bollywood directors and actors, what would it be?
Please start making films that truly matter and they needn't be so called parallel cinema or art cinema or whatever the term is. Cinema can be both entertaining and life-changing at the same time and that is what I am going to be making. The entire budget of ‘Sisak’ was 1/100th of the cost of a song from a big Bollywood production. The entire budget of my feature film called ‘Ravivar’ which a social-political satire that has a homosexual protagonist is 1/10th of the cost of a song from a big Bollywood production. I want Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead in ‘Ravivar’ and Amitabh Bachchan to play Ranbir's father. Karan Johar, are you listening?

When ex-lovers Shahid and Kareena announced the arrival of their babies with their respective partners, back to back, their fans went into a state of frenzy. Shahid’s daughter Misha recently made her internet debut and broke it with her cuteness.  When it came to baby Taimur, besides a fake picture doing the rounds, the only thing we could warm our eyes with, was a sketch.
Thank you @literatefool for this striking sketch of baby Taimur. It is beautifully made ❤

So, baby Taimur’s picture finally saw the light of the day, and boy, is that little munchkin pretty or what? So obviously, people on Twitter could not handle so much cuteness in one bundle and love and comments started flowing in the air.

Twitter spats are one of the coolest things to watch online and the deadliest, to say the least, if both the parties are hell bent on bringing each other down. No offense, but if you ever feel bored, don’t have anything to do and lethargy takes its toll on you, be assured that Twitter will be your messiah and provide you the needed dose of humour. Well, credit our nose for smelling drama from almost anywhere that we came across this marvelous exchange aka a Twitter War, between author J K Rowling of Harry Potter fame and Piers Morgan who is, well known for stirring up controversy out of anything under the sun.
    © Facebook
This twitter feud happened after Morgan recently appeared on a US talk show and spoke in defense of President Donald Trump’s immigration ban. In an episode of ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’, comedian Jim Jefferies asked Morgan to “f**k off” when the latter refused to accept the order of the Muslim ban.
Rowling then took to Twitter to share her opinion on the episode and things escalated at lightning speed.
Yes, watching Piers Morgan being told to **** off on live TV is *exactly* as satisfying as I'd always imagined. https://t.co/4FII8sYmIt
    — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) 11 February 2017 Because you had a premonition that one day the author would roar with laughter at seeing you called out for your bullshit on live TV? https://t.co/8rkKSqJTnG
    — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) 11 February 2017 Morgan, who is known for not letting things slide just like that, wasn’t too far behind in replying to Rowling’s tweet and jokes that this is why he doesn’t read Harry Potter. Obviously, he was later trolled when he acknowledged the fact that his son his a Potter addict.

What ensued after that was a long trail of sheer pleasure for the viewers’ eyes.
    Everything I said was factual.
If you think screaming '**** OFF!!!' at me changes that, then you're mistaken. https://t.co/0U9fVoTjfc
    — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) 11 February 2017 .@piersmorgan Would you like a couple of hours to mock up some pictures of refugees carrying explosives to substantiate your position? https://t.co/sFj0kqIajd
    — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) 11 February 2017 The superior, dismissive arrogance of rabid Remain/Clinton supporters like @jk_rowling is, of course, precisely why both campaigns lost.
    — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) 11 February 2017 The fact-free, amoral, bigotry-apologism of celebrity toady Piers Morgan is, of course, why it's so delicious to see him told to **** off. https://t.co/4XNF4G0nlD
    — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) 11 February 2017 .@piersmorgan If only you'd read Harry Potter, you'd know the downside of sucking up to the biggest bully in school is getting burned alive.
    — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) 11 February 2017 No bigger bullies right now than the shrieking, hysterical anti-Trump celebrity brigade.
You lost, so suck it up Dolores. https://t.co/RFQkyJWxZ5
    — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) 11 February 2017 Rowling even shared a screenshot of an award she won after beating some noted personalities and Morgan was one of them. Even Burnol won’t help soothe this sick burn.
    #StillHurts pic.twitter.com/28rUHy2McC
    — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) 11 February 2017 This isn’t the first time that Morgan got into a Twitter war with someone, but getting majorly trolled seems to be a pattern that he should be well aware of by now. Earlier, it was Virender Sehwag who destroyed Morgan on Twitter with his sarcasm, wit and humour and now JK Rowling has gotten a few blows in as well.

A century gone by and still the wounds remain fresh, the problem unresolved and a zillion questions unanswered. The subliminal hyper nationalist state with such maligned dynamics that one wrong step is enough to wake the beast from its simmering slumber and throw the entire nation into a whirlpool of unaccounted casualties.
On 8 July 2016, the kiling of Burhan Wani - a militant commander of the Kashmir-based Hizbul Mujahideen - by the Indian security forces triggered one of the worst civil unrest that the Valley had ever seen. More than 100 individuals killed and another 19000 injured as Kashmir entered a period of amplified instability.
    © Reuters
"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain," Bob Marley's famous quote seems to have become the motto of a new generation of singers coming out of Kashmir. Amid the sounds of gun shots and wailing mothers echoing in the Valley, the local singers and rappers have found a way to bring the general sentiments of the streets of Kashmir to a global audience.
Conflict is the perfect place for art to thrive. While art for the heck of it is one thing, but to use it to arise from conflict is something else all together. And, the 23-year-old rock singer Ali Saffudin has been making full use of art to string a new wave of resistance.
As violence took over the streets and death toll increased, Ali's track 'Tum kitne jawa maroge' became the anthem of last year's civil unrest for the grieving civilians.

With lyrics like "Tum kitne jawa maroge, har ghar se jawa niklega. Jo lahoo hai behta rag rag mein, wo junoon banke ubhre ga", the song highlights the frustration of Kashmiri youths and their families who have been affected by unemployment, excessive militarisation of the public space and alleged human rights violations by the security forces.
In October 2016, Ali appeared on the BCC World Service programme from London and spoke about the socio-political situation in Kashmir. He also sang "Inquilab o Inquilab" - a song based on a poem by Abdul Ahad Azad, a Kashmiri poet of the early 1900s - and dedicated it to the "valour of Kashmiris".

Since the last year's unrest, the Valley has witnessed a rapid rise in the number of protest songs and raps by young artistes who are using social media as a platform to make their voices heard.
Earlier this year, two Kashmiri protest raps - Dead Eyes and Voices of Kashmir - were also released on YouTube. While Dead Eyes - in English - describes the plight of pellet victims, Voices of Kashmir - rapped in Urdu - narrates how conflict and the ensuing deaths have ravaged the Valley.

Aamir Ame (23), the singer of "Dead Eyes" and an MBA student at the Kashmir University, wrote the song after being inspired from the pellet injuries of his friend during the unrest. On the other hand, "Voices of Kashmir" has been sung by Faizan Farooq and Wani Arman - two rappers from the strife-torn north Kashmir town of Sopore.

While the recent songs have surely caught the general eye, the first protest rap to come out of the Valley dates back to 2010 when MC Kash - a then 20-year-old rapper from Srinagar - sang the cult hit "I Protest".

Given the general mood of the country, no matter how controversial and anti-national their songs might seem, these singers have surely managed to hit all the right strings while conveying their message to the masses.

If you watched ‘Lion’ and you appreciated Dev Patel’s acting skills, even mentally nominating him for an award, then congratulations on your predicting capabilities. He won a freaking BAFTA and the fans are incredibly elated.  It was well deserved and totally worth the wait.
After being happy for him and raving over how good he was, we are now rooting for him to win an Oscar as well. However, there is one question that has been troubling us and we couldn’t help but investigate it further. If you were wondering why Dev Patel, who was probably the ‘lead’ actor in the movie, won an award for a ‘supporting’ role, then you are not the only one. Everyone has been musing on this.
    © Twitter
Even the poster has his face, front and centre on it, so what just happened here? Well, for starters, even Nicole Kidman has been nominated in the ‘supporting’ actress category. So let’s break this logic down. Hollywood, before being an entertainment industry, is actually a commercial movie making house. Its sole purpose is not to entertain you, but to make money for the people investing in it. So the producers kinda prefer actors in the supporting category sometimes, because the chances of winning there increases as opposed to competing with big names in the lead actor category, and let’s face it, an award does boost business, for the actor and the movie.
    © Twitter
If you want to stay true to the boundaries of the movie and trace an answer from what you saw, then there is a also plausible explanation. Dev technically appears full time later on in the movie. The onus lies on the little boy, Sunny Pawar who plays the young ‘Saroo’ so effortlessly.  So in a way, all the actors did ‘support’ each other to make the movie a major hit.  Let’s just root for this talented man to get the Oscar also.

Playing for India and representing the country is an honor for every athlete and recently Irfan Pathan shared an interesting conversation that he had with a Pakistani girl which shows why it’s a big deal.
    © Twitter
While discussing his time with the Indian cricket team during an event, Irfan Pathan shared an incident which took place in Lahore. A girl approached him and asked him why he’s still playing for India even though he’s a Muslim and this is what he said:
“It is a matter of pride for me to play for India. That incident still motivates me to do better. Although there are many moments during my career that do give me reasons to feel proud of my effort.”

Irfan, who made his debut under Sourav Ganguly in 2003, was one of the best swing bowlers India ever produced until he was sidelined with injuries which eventually affected his ability to generate movement across the pitch. He has played 120 ODIs for India and still recounts getting the debut cap from skipper Ganguly as the most memorable moment of his career.

The moment anyone asks us to suggest a good cab service provider, the first name that pops up in our minds is Uber (at least in most cases), but for this French businessman, Uber will now be a reminder of how a small bug f**ked things up for him and resulted in his divorce. While we are supposed to get the details and information about our travel routes, in his case, his wife received all the notifications, which raised more than a few suspicions. Can Uber be really held responsible when the wife doesn’t trust her husband, though?
    © Pexels
Well, what the guy did next was shocking but nothing that is unexpected; he filed a lawsuit for €45 million against Uber and let’s just say, at least in France, Uber will not be able to rebuild their good image. The man in question is from Côte d’Azur in the South of France, and according to him the app sent all his trip notifications, pick-up points, destinations and time of rides to his wife’s phone. This bug started after he borrowed his wife’s phone to log in to the app and despite logging out, his journey details continued to pop-up on her phone and she started suspecting it as ‘evidence of his extra-marital affairs’.
    © Facebook
So what’s this bug all about? Well, the technical glitch that popped up was that once a user logs in through another device, the app retains the information and continues sending updates on the phone you last used. Wait? This means that if we access the app from someone else’s phone, she or he can track our rides? But, all Android users can breathe a sigh of relief as these problems only appear on iOS systems, after it was updated in December last year. An initial hearing of the case is expected next month. Now we don’t really know who should be really blamed in this case – the suspicious wife, not-at-fault husband or Uber who accidently ended up becoming the ultimate anti-cupid (if there is a term like that).

I’ll be honest; any woman who tells you she hates surprises is either lying or she’s talking about the kind where she walked in on her ex with another woman. But mostly, she’s lying. Surprises and women go hand-in-hand. So, come Valentine’s Day, we’re always secretly hoping that you’ve got a huge surprise up your sleeves for us. It doesn’t necessarily have to be you proposing, especially if we just started dating (you creep!); but something that practically spells out the word Love!
But how do you go about planning the perfect surprise for us when, a) You don’t know where to start; b) You don’t want to go overboard, c) You don’t want to end up broke after the surprise is over, d) You don’t have a lot of time. Seems legit, no? Don’t worry. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to plan the perfect surprise for your girl on Valentine’s Day, as advised by a girl (because who better, right?).
It’s so simple, it could surprise you!
    © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
    1. Prepare a small scrapbook on her, the two of you and all the time you’ve spent together. Use her favourite colours to decorate the book.
    2. Make a mixed tape or a playlist of all her and your favourite love songs because you’re going to need both these later that evening. There is still time, guys.
    © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
    3. Act clueless. Chances are she is bringing up Valentine’s Day a lot these days. A lot. So the next time she brings it up, act like you don’t know what’s on Tuesday. Then, as soon as the clock strikes 12 am, call her, or if you’re living together, then stop whatever it is that you’re doing, and wish her. Go on and be her Cinderella Man! *heart eyes*
    4. Start the day by leaving little ‘Post-It’ notes for her at all the places in the house that you know she is going to stop by during the day. Start with one on the alarm clock, so it’s the first thing she sees as soon as she wakes up. Don’t forget to mention where the next note is waiting for her. Make it like a mini treasure hunt and watch her eyes light up every time she finds one. If you live separately, call her to wake her up and send her cute messages to take her through the day.
    © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
    5. Send her little things all through the day. Now, these don’t need to be elaborate or expensive gifts. They could be random things that she just loves. For instance, a box of her favourite chocolates, or candy; colourful stationary, her favourite burger or pizza for lunch, a lipstick, nail paint, a perfume, a book she’s been looking to buy, her favourite poem, or one you penned yourself (never mind how silly it sounds)—you get the point. Just get her gushing throughout the day.
    6. Top this off with a small love letter that expresses how you truly feel about her and when you’re around her. It doesn’t have to be perfectly worded or well-punctuated (although that would be great, thank you very much). It just has to be heartfelt and honest. Insert a footnote at the end telling her to look forward to the night. But don’t divulge any further details. It’s a covert operation, matey!
    © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
    7. The next thing you need to do is send her a beautifully wrapped parcel which contains all of the things that you want her to wear for your surprise date later that night—right from the lingerie to the perfume. Add a note telling her why you chose those particular items. It could be anything from a dress she wore to your first date together, or a colour that you really love on her. If you live together, you get to see her level of curiosity peek and turn her on, at the same time. Which brings me to the next point…
    8. While you may have indulged in a mushy ‘Good Morning, Beautiful’ kiss and the occasional brushing against skin (leaving her wanting more), ensure that you do not actually do anything more intimate than this. Save it all up for after your date. Trust when I say it’s going to be SOOO worth it!
    © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
    9. Knock on her door, looking sexy as ever, at the time you mentioned to pick her up. Now, if you live together, go to a friend’s place nearby to get dressed yourself while you let her do the same. Then, drive back to your place and carry out the deed. Remember to present her with a single red rose as soon as she opens the door and plant a sweet kiss on her jaw line. Don’t forget to tell her how beautiful she looks.
    10. Take her on a long drive while you play all her favourite songs, or a list of both your favourite love songs which you curate earlier in the week (go back to Point 2). You could drive to the place the two of you visited on your first date, or you could drive down for a night of stargazing in an open air park, or lake. Keep the music from the car on and pour out two glasses of wine and connect with her; like, really talk to her.
    © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
    11. Then, without spending more than an hour or two at the spot, head back to your place where you have planned and prepared a surprise dinner for her, without her knowledge. Welcome her in, turn on the music and waltz her across the room (you don’t really need to know how to dance, really. We just like when you dance with us, anyway).
    12. Then, play the perfect host, ensuring your guest is comfortable and well-taken care of. As you sit down to dine together, present her with the scrapbook you made for her (go back to Point 1) and revel in her reactions to the gift. It’s incomparable to any other materialistic present you might have thought of buying her.
    © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
After dinner and dessert, unleash all the affections the two of you had been holding back for the entire day. Indulge!
Here’s hoping you follow through on all these points because, really, it’s not that hard and there is still time, guys.
So, best of luck and a Happy Valentine’s Day!
*goes searching for a prospective date*

  12. ADMIN
As women, we’re quite a confused lot! We mean “Hell, yeah!” when we’re saying a “NO!” and we mean “Don’t you dare!” when we’re telling you “Do what you want.” Basically, we try to be mind readers and want you to do the same! And you wonder why we’re always so stressed and high strung?! But during Valentine’s Day we take this to a whole other level! I mean there is normal mode, hyper mode, PMS mode and then, Valentine mode!
So, just to save you the trouble of making us mad on the one day that we really don’t want to be mad at you, here’s a list of things we say during the season of love and what we actually mean.
    1. “Haha, Yeah, That’s Totally Overrated!” © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
Situation: The two of you are having a discussion and you bring up how romance, dates, flowers, gifts and Valentine’s Day is just so overrated, according to you.
What she means: “Dear God, can’t you see how I’m dying for a Valentine, just once? So, why me? ”
Explanation: Inwardly, her heart is breaking into tiny little pieces because this means you won’t be asking her to be your Valentine. You won’t be giving her flowers, or a card, or jewellery or you may not even go on those fancy dates that people go to! Basically, her world just ended.
    2. “I Was Wondering If…”  © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
Situation: This usually comes after the previous overrated discussion where she’s still trying to sell her point and get you to do something even if you don’t give a damn about it.
What it means: “If you don’t agree to this, I’m going to have to end this right here, right now… please agree to this… pretty please!”
Explanation: She. Is. Really. Trying. It’s probably the most she’ll ever try.
    3. “So, Where Are We Going?”  © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
Situation: So, you’ve agreed to do something for her even though you don’t give a damn about it.
What it means: “You’re picking up the tab, Honey!”
Explanation: There’s none, really. We just like you to shoulder our whims, fancies, desires, wishlists, shopping bags… expenses, basically.
    4. “I Really Love What We Have Together, Don’t You?” © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
Situation: You’re at your date, or just wrapping up and you decide to probe the ‘You’re place, or mine’ discussion with her.
What she means: “The only action you’re getting will be Ryan Reynold’s stint as Deadpool.” OR, “I am not having *** with you until you don’t commit to me.”
Explanation: For women, it’s almost impossible to separate *** from romantic relationships. The fact that she wanted you to be her Valentine is kind of the flag you needed to watch out for. Looks like you missed that train. Good luck to you, trying to score with her and all!
    5. “I Really Care About You, You Know.”  © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
Situation: You’re talking about why the two of you should do the deed and how you want her and all that sappy stuff you think will get her in the sack.
What she means: “I’ll give you points for trying; knock yourself out!”
Explanation: Just because she wants you to be her Boo on Valentine’s Day, just because you gave her presents, dressed up, shaved everywhere you humanly could, picked her up, treated her to an expensive dinner and acted like the gentleman that you know you’re not, does not mean you’re getting any action. Nope, nyét! Zilch!
    6. “Jealous? Who, Me? Pfft… Please!” *Shrugs Her Shoulder With Her Chin In The Air*  © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
Situation: You’re on your romantic Valentine’s Day date with her and you made the unforgivable mistake of checking out another woman who just passed by your table. What’s worse? She saw you do that! And now, you’re trying  to explain yourself. Real smooth.
What she means: “So, do you think she’s prettier than me? Do you like her dress more than mine? Would you rather be on a date with her? Why don’t you look at me like that?”
Explanation: We’re women. We hate competition. We hate being compared. But we want the comparison anyway. And we want you to choose us over anyone else—every single time. Deal with it.
    7. “Of Course, We’re More Than Just A Label!” © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
Situation: In the course of conversation, she brings up the ‘what are we’ discussion and you don’t want to lead her on or promise her something you’re not ready to get into just yet. You’d rather just toe the line and make the most of whatever you can.
What she means:  “Why won’t you just call me Bae?!”
Explanation: She is really into you and would really like you to be with her rather than anyone else. She just doesn’t know how to say it, especially since she has this whole idea about how the guy makes the move. And you’re clearly not doing that.

  13. ADMIN
One of the most mind-boggling things about Valentine’s Day is the part about the surprises. While most of the guys are clueless about how to actually extra-impress their girl on V-Day, the girls are busy day-dreaming about the grand surprises their partners may plan. Well, guys, it sure can be a tough task for you to decode your girl’s mind, so we thought of helping you out a bit here. We went out and asked a few girls in the city about what they are expecting from their guy on Valentine’s Day and we got some really interesting responses. Here's an idea, take a cue from their responses and plan something big for your girl.

Well, did you get some ideas? Trust us, it is totally worth surprising your girl and showing her that you love her. Show her that you care, especially on this day of love. So go on, groom yourself and give yourself a clean and neat shave; put on some musk and dress up in a smart attire and go surprise her already. P.S: Being well-groomed will always impress her, not just on V-Day.
Go, sweep her off her feet, buddy.

  14. ADMIN
So, it’s Valentine’s Day and you don’t have a bloody Valentine. But you’ve found someone who is going to let you have the ‘V’ in Valentine and let you put the ‘D’ in Day (Lame one, but it just had to be said)! Hold your horses, sons of Adam! There are things you need to keep in mind before you decide to hook up this Valentine’s Day. Because, let’s face it, getting no action is better than getting the wrong reaction.
    1. Buy Her Drinks  © Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images
It’s Valentine’s Day. She’s alone. She needs it tonight more than ever. Also, your chances of hooking up with her only increase if she’s a little tipsy—throwing caution to the wind + lonely + seeking desperate fixes = you score!
    2. Avoid Corny Pickup Lines  © Shutterstock
The last thing you want to say to a girl you just met (and might end up having *** with) are a bunch of cheesy pickup lines that make her want to keel all over herself, and you. Stick to simple sentences and questions. For instance, ask her what a beautiful lady like herself is doing alone on Valentine’s Day and then watch her face light up from that compliment. It may sound like an old, done-to-death question, but it is an instant confidence-boost for women.
    3. Avoid Lengthy Conversations  © Shutterstock
The thing about talking is you get to know the other person. And the thing about getting to know the other person is you might end up falling for them. Be clear about what you want and what you’re looking for and don’t stray from that path; not on Valentine’s Day, at least. Keep your communication skills to the bare minimum. This doesn’t mean you limit yourself to robotic responses because that will just send her into a snooze fest.
    4. Do Not Lead Her On © Unsplash
Cut to the chase. She isn’t your girlfriend and the most romantic thing you’ll probably be doing is shaving, for the sake of it! The two of you have had this conversation way before you got into bed. So, basically, don’t lead her on and confuse her about your intentions. Let’s face it, everyone is looking for a little love on Valentine’s Day (yes, even you). Rule of thumb: If you aren’t going to love her the morning after, don’t love her just for the night.
    5. Stay Protected   © Shutterstock
Condoms. We cannot stress on this one more. Yes, we know it feels so great without a condom and, no, it doesn’t matter whether or not she is on the pill. And the thing about you pulling out just in time is that you may not be on time! So just do yourselves a favour and wear one because the last thing you want is for that hot hookup you had on Valentine’s Day to turn up pregnant at your doorstep! Now, wouldn’t that be one for the kids, eh (How I Met Your Mother and regretted it for the rest of my life)?
    6. Know What You’re Getting Into  © Shutterstock
This is a hookup. We repeat: this is a hookup. You may know this in your head but, she isn’t exactly a mind reader even though she pretends to be one (women, phew)! Lay down the rules before you get down to it. What is it she’s looking for—she may just be looking for someone to talk to and the fact that you’re hitting on her may mean much more to her than it does to you. So get the record straight, once and for all.
    7. People To Avoid  © Shutterstock
Your gal pal, exes, friend’s friend, friend’s ex —these are all people you should avoid hooking up with at all costs. Reason: It gets awkward. You end up ruining your friendship just because of one night; you get those blue feelings about your ex that you thought you had gotten over and if you choose ‘ho’ before your ‘bro’ then, well, you are a bro no more!
    8. Choose A Neutral Location  © Unsplash
This is important for two reasons—first, your place or hers gets more intimate than what you initially signed up for; and second, if it ends on a bad note or she is a creepy stalker, the last thing you want is for her to know where you live. Go for a decent budget hotel or, if you’re the average broke guy, just do it in the car. Isn’t that a lot more exciting anyway?
    9. Don’t Overstay/ Overtext © Unsplash
While there isn’t exactly a rule book on what’s the best time to leave the morning after, or how much you should be texting her, it doesn’t exactly mean you have to cook breakfast, ask about her plans for the day, and then, get into a text marathon later. You can even wake up a little earlier and just leave her a text saying what an amazing time you had. Leave out the part where you promise to stay in touch, especially if you don’t intend to. Some things, as they say, are best when done just once.
    10. Keep It Sexy Yet Simple  © Shutterstock
We mean between the sheets. When women hookup with a guy they just met, they are looking for an adventure and a fun story. What they’re not looking for is the freak camp. So when you do get into bed, spice it up with some experimentation, but don’t go overboard. Remember, time is of the essence and you don’t have a lot of that. For instance, a reverse cowgirl, some great cunnilingus and blowjobs paired with hair pulling, spanking and love bites are great. Anal ***, nipple clamps and full blown role-playing are not so great. She might just call the cops on you.

This year seems to be ruled by India and the credit definitely goes to all those achievers whose hard work is filling our hearts with pride. Adding another feather to its hat of achievements and giving us a moment to rejoice, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) is all set to break the world record by unleashing nearly 104 satellites in space in a single mission. Russia is the last record holder that sent 37 satellites in a single launch in the year 2014. India happens to be the only country so far that is trying to hit a century in a single mission.
    © Reuters
Along with this, India will also be revisiting the neighbouring planet Mars and will embark on a trip to Venus for the first time. If all goes well, ISRO will drop its 101 small foreign satellites and the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) three Indian satellites, on February 15. Not just two or three more than 37, but a whopping 104 satellites; India sure is playing it big and we are super excited for this mission.
After the tremendous success of Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), the tentative date for the second visit to the red planet, is set between 2021-2022 and speculations are rife that this plan might involve placing a robot on Mars’ surface and the French space agencies wish to collaborate for this tour (that’s the charm of Indian MOM you know). Jokes apart, reportedly, director of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA, Michael M Watkins, on his visit to India earlier this month showed interest in putting a telematics module so that the Indian satellites and NASA’s rovers can connect with each other.
    © BCCL
Talking about the Venus mission, which will be India’s maiden venture to the planet, Watkins said that NASA is willing to be India’s partner for this project and both the organizations seem to be already in talks to ‘jointly undertake studies on using electrical propulsion for powering this mission.’ ISRO’s former chairman, K Kasturirangan, said “India should be part of this global adventure and exploring Venus and Mars is very worthwhile since humans definitely need another habitation beyond earth.”
Coming back to the mega launch of 104 satellites, recently the American companies have opened up to ISRO and the trail of 101 satellites in this mission will include 96 from the US along with one each from Israel, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UAE. Just like a school bus drops off each kid at their respective bus stops, the 101 satellites too will be dropped in space in a similar manner in less than 600 seconds and each satellite is said to travel at a velocity of over 27,000 km per hour or at 40 times the speed of an average passenger airline.
    © BCCL
“India has the capability of putting several satellites in a single launch and demonstrating that capability is certainly not bad as it adds to India’s credibility and then later if ISRO deploys the capability of formation flying in a constellation of its own satellites it would be a useful addition to its arsenal,” Kasturirangan added when some experts suggested that this move was made by ISRO to earn money and that the small satellites aren’t of much help.
Well, keeping the criticism aside, it’s a great move to present the nation in a powerful light and show how talented ISRO is when it comes to space missions. We are already excited about this kick-ass benchmark that both ISRO and India are going to set in front of the world.

After setting an imposing target of 459 runs in their second innings, Team India found adequate support from their spin duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja who came together to prize out three wickets in the final session of the fourth day's play in the one-off Test against Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday.

Ashwin who, earlier in the day, became the fastest bowler in history to claim 250 Test wickets, got the better of Tamim Iqbal and Mominul Haque while Jadeja dismissed threatening Soumya Sarkar leaving the visitors an improbable task of forcing a draw on the final day.

But, as Bangladesh prepare themselves for the uphill battle tomorrow, India, too, need to be at their prolific best to counter the likes of Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehedi Hasan Miraz and continue their winning run in Tests at home.
    Twitter
The Bangladeshi trio was pivotal in saving the blushes for their side in the first innings. Reeling at 109/4 in the first innings, Bangladesh showed resilience through Mushfiqur (127), Shakib (82) and Mehedi (51) to ensure they reached a total of 388 runs in the first innings.

With another 356 runs to get on the final day, the onus will once again be on these three batsmen to get their side out of danger. And, that is why India need to get their wickets early on to bolster their chances of scripting a win.
    Twitter
With the cracks on the pitch opening up and the bounce remaining erratic, the final day's play is likely to make batting more difficult for the visitors. But, given the current form of their experienced batsmen (especially Mushfiqur), Bangladesh need to hold their nerves and avoid playing expansive shots if they are to avoid defeat in the match.

The first two sessions will undoubtedly be critical for both the sides. On one hand where India will be looking to get a few wickets early on, Bangladesh need to remain calm and fend off the threats from opposition bowlers.
    Twitter
The final day of the match is brewing into an exciting encounter - something similar to the Brisbane Test where Pakistan almost ran away with the game against Australia before eventually losing by a small margin. Bangladesh need to learn from Pakistan's experience and must avoid a batting collapse if they intend to pull off a miracle tomorrow.

Will India come out on top once again? Or, will it be the underdogs Bangladesh who would break India's winning-streak? Well, whatever the outcome, the fifth and final day of this Test is surely headed for an exciting climax.

The world all over is crazy about SRK and if we talk about Sunny Leone, there is no dearth of die hard fans for this beauty as well, but rarely do you spot two mega stars in one frame, where Sunny Leone, the woman who rules hearts, is basically smitten by Shah Rukh himself!

A recent ‘behind the scenes’ video that was released by Red Chillies Entertainment has a footage of the making of ‘Laila Main Laila’ song. In the video, Sunny is talking about how the entire world is a fan of King Khan and she got lucky when she worked with him.

It’s a known fact that no one has ever escaped the charm of SRK, but watching Sunny have her own fan girl moment is a visual treat.

  18. ADMIN
Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan has garnered many fans both in India and abroad and the credit goes to his brilliant acting skills and the great movies he has delivered so far (let’s keep Dilwale and Happy New Year out of this discussion). He is one actor who has managed to captivate the hearts of women across all age groups – be it a college student or a woman in her 40s, everyone goes weak in their knees when they see him onscreen and as for men, almost everybody idolizes him.
    © Dharma Productions
Recently, the actor took to Twitter to talk about his movie My Name Is Khan that completed 7 years and was taken by surprise when someone commented on Twitter stating that SRK deserved an Oscar for this movie if Hollywood wasn’t manipulated and that someone is none other than notable author, Paulo Coelho. What’s more, the author even shared a screenshot of that message where he mentioned that it was SRK’s first and only movie he watched this year.

    — Paulo Coelho (@paulocoelho) 11 February 2017
Being the king of wit and sarcasm, SRK very cleverly took a dig at Donald Trump’s immigration which was one of the coolest responses to this entire issue. My Name Is Khan was based on the troubles faced by Muslims in the US after the 9/11 incident and how one man embarks on a journey to meet the US President and change people’s perception about religion. Recently President Trump signed an order banning foreign nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries, so he started his tweet by saying that it’s kind of sad that this movie is still relevant and we couldn’t agree any less.
It’s kinda sad too that MNIK is still relevant. But thx Karan Ravi Kajol SEL Shibani Niranjan Deepa Jimmy & all cast/crew for a special film
    — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) 11 February 2017
As soon as Shah Rukh came across Coelho’s tweet, he thanked him for his wishes and said that his next journey will be to meet Coelho in person and we are waiting with our eyes wide open to see these two legends in one frame.
Thank u so much. My next journey is to try and meet u in person. Love and health to u.  https://t.co/J2hMsBybI6
    — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) 12 February 2017
Karan Johar who created the movie and the character, Rizvan Khan, too shared his joy on Twitter.

One of the major issues of anxiety when you touch your thirties is the fact that you are leaving your youth behind (or that is what popular opinion sounds like). She used to be the ‘bomb’ back in her modelling days but I guess since she never aged, she will always be a bombshell.

She has the Midas touch and ageing has got nothing on her. She probably has the Philosopher’s Stone that Voldemort was looking for.

That time of the year is here – where some people will be going on dates with their significant others while the rest of the us will be sitting at home either binge-watching ‘Game of Thrones’ or some action movie on Netflix – yes, we are talking about the much hyped Valentine’s Day. On one hand, couples see this as an opportunity to profess their love, buy gifts and plan dates, singles look at it as a reminder that this year too they will be sincerely loved only by their family and pizza.

At a time when every guy is looking at their singlehood with pity, Shed Simove, a London based entrepreneur has upped his dating game with sass by creating an app similar to Tinder. Now for those wondering what’s so special about this app, try swiping right or left. You will only find Simove’s pictures because he is the only suitor available in the app. Simove not only killed any possible competition, but also made every single guy’s dream a reality by creating this brilliant app ‘Shinder’ https://shinder.me/login. With the tagline “Quality, not quantity”, how can one not fall for his charm?

In the digital age where one swipe decides the fate of your relationship, which only gets tougher with competition, this guy cuts through everything to sweep his dream girl off her feet (only if she registers, of course). Now, if you are a man trying to see if you have any chances of swiping right, sorry to break your heart, but Simove will send you a message saying “Sorry, Shed is currently heterosexual and is specifically looking for women”. Take a bow dude, women are already in love with your brain.

He even made this video where the app is explained in detail leaving us amused and mesmerized by his talent and ideas. Reportedly, earlier Shed even wrote a book titled "What Every Man Thinks About Apart From ***" which had nothing but 200 blank pages inside and it shouldn't come as a surprise that this became a bestseller. So, dear men out there, take notes and add a little swag to your dating game; and ladies, don’t make this guy wait anymore, this genius is definitely a keeper.

A dad is a daughter’s first love, an epitome of the ‘perfect’ man, thus making her compare every man to her dad. A brother usually is a woman’s second love after her father; a best friend disguised in the form of a forever arguing sibling. While most brothers seldom tell their sisters that they love them, 17 year old Mohammad Hasher did something that has warmed every heart out there.

His 6 year-old sister, Noor was excited about a ‘father-daughter’ dance at her school but their father had stopped staying with them post their parent’s divorce. Clearly she was upset. Nevertheless, her brother decided to take her to the dance and people were left awestruck upon seeing the brother-sister duo at the dance.
Got to take my baby sister to her first daddy daughter dance the other night. Sorry you don't have a dad but I'll always be there for you ❤ pic.twitter.com/Qo2yNBLZlo

He not only won every heart on the internet, but also won the ‘best dad’ title in the dance competition.  He couldn’t fill the void that the absence of a father creates, but he sure as hell wore the dad boots and proved that love is greater than any other feeling in the world.

This is how you define ‘being there for your family’. Someone give them the favourite family award already, please.  Everyone can be a father, but it takes so much more to be a ‘dad’.

Valentine’s day is around the corner and even if you don’t believe in it, the corniness and the whole ‘love is in the air’ feels will surround you. So, while you might be looking at couples buying roses, cards and gifts, Madhya Pradesh has found a unique way of projecting this ‘love’ by deciding to celebrate 14th February as ‘Matra-Pitra Pujya  Diwas’.
Madhya Pradesh: Chhindwara collector issues notice, asking people to worship their parents on Valentine's Day. pic.twitter.com/UljAQZlEFC

As per reports, the authorities of a certain district are urging the younglings to dedicate this day of love towards worshipping their parents.  With the circular going viral over the internet, Twiterrati of course had some serious opinions to throw in.
@ANI_news what nonsense is this @ChouhanShivraj @CMMadhyaPradesh fascism! Sanskari collector!
    — voice of truth (@namo_namah23) February 10, 2017
@ANI_news so the collector is paid to 'instil Indian values' ? nothing better to do?
    — Bionic (@reach_cliff) February 10, 2017
While a lot of us couldn’t get over the ‘Alok Nath’ feels in this, some, however, supported this.
    @ANI_news यह एक बेहतरीन शुरुआत है।छिंदवाड़ा के कलेक्टर इसके लिए बधाई के पात्र है।पहली बार पैरेंट्स डे,वो भी वैलेंटाइन(प्यार का दिन) दे पर।
    — Sanjay Kr. Jha (@SanjayKrJha8) February 10, 2017
    @ANI_news greate opportunity for us
    Hum aapke saath h
    — MANISH AHIRWAR (@manish5520) February 11, 2017
The collector who issued this notice seems to be heavily inspired by Karan Johar’s philosophy in K3G, ‘it’s all about loving your parents’, and is probably a millennial version of Alok Nath.

Known for training the ‘crème-de-la-crème’ of the society, IITs have majorly been synonymous with courses for engineering and medical technology. However IIT Kharagpur is setting a new trend and this move can open up new avenues of a brighter future for Indian students. The premium institute is introducing a first-of-its-kind school on Quality and Reliability (Q&R) which aims to improve the quality of life and carve students into global citizens whose primary focus will be on quality.

Every time we hear someone say they’re from IIT, we automatically assume that they must be either mechanical or electrical engineering students. Our families too, focus on certain courses only instead of asking us which field we are interested in. We hope that this school will give a new approach to education and people will now look forward to the school of Q&R will equal passion.

This school will also focus on working towards the trinity of  the 3 Ps i.e. Process, Planet and People that is said to target Engineering, Human and Natural systems. According to the Director of IIT Kharagpur, Prof. P. P. Chakrabarti, the school will bring together students and faculty members of various disciplines and will offer courses, research and mission-mode programmes to bring about a social transformation, while working closely with other academic units in the institute.
Reportedly, Dr. Subir Chowdhury, the Institute’s notable alumnus, will be supporting this initiative. In times where people still put a lot of emphasis on conventional courses, this move will not just help students come out of their comfort zones and try their hands at newer fields, but will also drive us out of the habit of only mugging things up and not learning anything. For all those 12th standard students looking forward to their board exams, we are sure this news will cheer you up.
