In what was meant to be a monumental moment in the Chapecoense football club's history, quickly turned into a disaster after the chartered plane carrying members of the Brazilian team crashed late on 28 November.
The Lamia 2933 flight, carrying 77 people on board, crashed near the Colombian city of Medellin. The tragic crash led to the demise of 71 players, technical staff, sports journalists and crew members. Only six individuals managed to survive the horrific crash.

A leaked recording of the final minutes of the doomed flight revealed a chaotic exchange between the pilot and the air traffic tower. The pilot repeatedly requested authorisation to land in lieu to "fuel problems", but the controller explained that another plane with mechanical problems had been diverted to make an emergency landing.
It meant that the pilot had to wait seven minutes before going into a four-minute death spiral that ended with the plane slamming into a mountainside. If the crash led Brazil and the entire football fraternity into a state of mourning, the latest revelations behind the tragedy will surely upset the fans and family members of the lost souls.

But, the death toll could have been more if it wasn't for six individuals who apparently missed the flight due to some miraculous reasons. These six grief-stricken men shared their plight and now find themselves in a precarious situation of whether to cherish their luck or mourn the loss of 71 people.

The Chapecoense goalkeeper Nivaldo did not travel with his team for the first-leg of the Copa Sudamericana final against Atletico Nacional. The 42-year-old missed the trip as he was set to make his 300th appearance for Chapecoense against Atlelico Mineiro at the weekend, having also missed last Sunday's defeat against Palmeiras to make the landmark appearance at home.
"I was supposed to go on the trip but ended up staying. Everything has a reason in life. I didn't travel to Palmeiras because it would make my farewell game to play here against Mineiro, when I would complete 300 games for the club," Nivaldo told Globoesporte.
He also revealed, "As there was a change in the trip, they would not return to Chapeco and instead go straight from Sao Paulo to Medellin. So the coach Caio said he would not take me." Taken aback by the tragedy, Nivaldo has now announced his retirement from football.

Matheus Saroli, son of Chapecoense football club's coach, Caio Junior, was in for serious heart-break after he realised that the plane carrying his father and other members of the club crashed near Medellin. The 25-year-old revealed that he was supposed to be alongside his father on the flight but couldn't because he had forgotten his passport.
"I was in (Sao Paulo) today and I did not board because I forgot my passport. We are strong. We will get through it," Saroli wrote on Facebook.
"I talked to him (Caio) several times about various things. In the end, at the last moment before we separated, and he left for the airport, it was different. It's easy to say this now, but I felt something was different," he told Globoesporte.

The state legislator for Santa Catarina and an ardent fan of the Chapecoense football club, Gelson Merisio had initially planned to travel with the players to watch them create history in the first-leg of the Copa Sudamericana final. The 50-year-old was looking forward to the high-intensity clash only to switch his plans at the last minute due to work commitments.
"All strength for the families of the players, the coaching staff and the journalists who accompanied the delegation. I must confess that I am quite shocked and moved. I further clarify that despite my scheduled presence on the flight accompanying the team, I chose not to do so because of the activities scheduled in the Legislature this week," Merisio wrote on Facebook yesterday.

Another individual who was supposed to be on the plane was journalist Ivan Carlos Agnoletto from Radio Super Conda. Agnoletto had a lucky escape after he gave up his seat for colleague Gelson Galliotto who had always dreamed of covering such a big game.
"The pain is still too much for me to think about if God would've saved me. I was scheduled to cover the game, but my colleague had a huge dream to cover an international final," Agnoletto told Globoesporte.
"When I told Gelson Galliotto the news that he could go in my place, he could not believe it: 'Really? I'm really going?' It was his dream," he added.

Luciano Buligon, mayor of Chapeco, was also on the passenger list alongside the football club's president Plinio David de Nes Filho. However, the duo missed the flight to attend a meeting in Sao Paulo.
"Only God can explain these things, and how I stayed behind. It is the biggest tragedy Chapeco could go through. We lived a moment of ecstasy with our football club," Buligon told Globoesporte.
"This wasn't just a group of people who respected each other professionally. It was a family, a group of friends. Everybody laughed so much, even in defeat. There was a great atmosphere, great joy,” Chapeco football club's president said on a Brazilian TV show.
“Yesterday morning, when I said goodbye to them, they said that they were going off to make our dreams come true. We shared this dream with all our emotion. And in the early hours of this morning, that dream came to an end,” a heart-broken Filho added further.

We waited a while to publish this review because everyone else was too busy covering the iPhone and Google Pixel and we wanted to stress that the Moto Z is no pushover. We’d been promised modular smartphones that could be modified with accessories and it seems like Lenovo and Moto have finally delivered the best one yet. Want more battery life? You can add that mod. Want better pictures? You can snap on the camera module. Want better speakers? You can add JBL stereo speakers. This idea was first introduced by LG with their G5 smartphones, but Motorola has perfected the concept.  Motomods do an incredible job and we want to elaborate on that further.
    © BCCL
The Moto Z ‘s build quality is exceptional, as it is incredibly thin at 5.20mm and it feels like you are holding a phone that is wafer thin that has packed some top notch components. It has a USB-C port for faster charging and faster data transfer. The display does not crack or shatter when you drop it and it sports a 2,600 mAh battery. It isn’t too powerful, in our opinion.
    © BCCL
The Moto Z has a ton of mods you can play around with and they attach to your phone like a magnetic snap-on, which makes it super convenient. These extras do not come along with the phone but we highly suggest you get one of them. I prefer the JBL speakers as it enhances the sound and comes in handy during house parties and gatherings.
    © BCCL
The Moto Z has a 13-megapixel camera and has optical image stabilisation, which is becoming the norm for most premium smartphones. It has a very bright aperture (f/1.8) and can capture pixels at the same size.  In our tests, the camera performed fairly well, however, if you want excellent pictures you should get the Hasselblad mod. The camera software is fast and can shoot pictures with lightning speed, however, is some tests the images were a little oversaturated when compared to other phones. The image processing is also very flaky and sometimes falls short of high standards the phone should be achieving.
The big bump on the primary camera is present for a reason; it helps with aligning Moto Mods which we believe is one of the most crucial aspects of the phone. However, once a mod is attached, the body becomes completely uniform. I was using the wood-styled cover when the JBL speaker was not attached and it felt like I was carrying a “naked” phone even though it had a cover on it.
We think the Moto Z is a very impressive achievement and comes in at a great price too! The phone offers so many advantages that we are willing to forgive the average battery life in the stock form. Importantly, MotoMods is a platform and other accessory makers are open to making different mods for these phones. Hopefully, this is just a start — a very exciting one at that.
Detailed specifications: 5.5-inch AMOLED screen (2560 x 1440 pixels), Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB storage, 13MP primary camera, 5MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, microSD slot, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-c, NFC, Android 6.0, 2,600mAh battery, 136g , Price: INR 39,999.

I have been collecting sneakers for almost a decade now and nothing makes me happier to see a sneaker company committing to the cause in India. Nike has officially made their most popular service the NikeiD available in India. Let me take a long breath.
    © Nike
Nike.com was a little bit redundant in the recent past, but Nike has upped the ante as they launched their official online store for India along with NikeiD. The store will have a full assortment of sneakers ranging from Air Jordans to Running, Football, Basketball, Tennis and any other training shoe you can think of. And guess what? You can customise them.
    © Nike
The NikeiD service was previously unavailable to Indian customers. However, Nike knows the importance of owning a truly unique and personal shoe. We customised a shoe for us and Nike is going to send it across soon so that we can show it off to all our readers what the NikeiD is really capable of.

NikeiD is a service that lets their customers become the designer and they will have the option to change colours of the sole, the laces and everything you can think of that goes on a shoe. Customers can choose from a range of materials and colours which they can use to develop their own personal Air Force One. Parts like the overlay, the base, the accent, the lining, the stitching, the outsole and the deubré is all customisable. Adding a personal look to your sneaker has never been easier and the service can be accessed right now from Nike.com

The mannequin challenge is all the rage right now. Following in the footsteps of the ice bucket challenge and Dubsmash videos and many other such challenges, it is probably the biggest thing on the internet right now. It had to be quite a rage, as it is fun to take on and doesn’t hurt anybody like most dumb challenges on the internet. From celebrities to some of the world’s biggest sports teams, everybody’s chiming in. Even we at MensXP took on the challenge a while ago and it was super fun.
This time around, the guys at Vamaship, a logistics company took on the challenge at one of their blood donation camps, in the wake of promoting blood donation.
    © YouTube
Donating blood still remains on a back foot in India and we all need to come together and make it a movement considering it as proud deed rather than a forced duty.
    © YouTube
Everyday millions of people lose their lives because they weren’t able to find the right blood group. Don’t let this happen, because you never know whose life your donated blood can save. Check this video out and go donate blood!

By looking at the fashion sense and persona of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, one can figure out that he is someone who is very particular about his looks. In fact, the same has been reported in various books, so if you have ever read about him you might already be aware of it. This man made the ‘Nehru Jackets’ popular, do we need to say anything else!
    © wikimedia
The internet is a huge ocean of information and there is nothing that can dodge its sight, so how can this gem remain hidden forever? A Reddit user posted this screenshot of a letter that Nehru, then 21-years-old, apparently wrote to his father, Motilal Nehru, in September 1911. While the world expects letters from leaders of countries to be these world changing speeches or powerful and inspirational messages, this particular letter was none of things. It was a very intimate look at one of most important people in Indian history and showed that he thought about the same problems that most men think about –Hair Loss.  Nehru wrote about how no oil or medication is helping him and how he has lost all hopes of getting his hair back.

    © Imgur
He ends the letter in a sarcastic way saying, “The amount of time and money I have spent on it might have been utilized in a much better manner.” The moment the letter started circulating on the internet, people started commenting about their own hair loss problems, how they empathize with Nehru and some users even moved the conversation to whether oiling your hair is good or not. Take a bow guys, you people are geniuses!
Reportedly, one of the users mentioned, “I got it from Volume 1 of Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru. Do read it, it has far more gems like this – Nehru trying to convince his mum that he doesn’t go drinking and dancing, complaining about being compared to some Sharmaji ka beta, getting super offended when his dad asked him for bills.” How much of his claims are authentic is another story. To be honest Mr. Nehru, even we feel very sad when we get compared to Sharmaji ka beta or beti.

Netflix has commented that there will be more content in the future that will support the new offline feature; however, this is only available on mobile devices for now. Offline playback has been one of the most demanded features by Netflix users and Netflix was wary of embracing the feature until yesterday. Offline playback is available across all types of subscription plans, which is a good thing, as they will not be charging extra to avail this feature.

Rahul Gandhi, one of the most trolled guys on the internet experienced his official Twitter handle being hacked on Wednesday evening. There were a series of offensive and abusive tweets that were sent out to all of his 1.21 million followers.
The people responsible who hacked the account used the phrase ‘We are legion’, which is the slogan used by a hacktivist group called ‘Anonymous’. It is possible that the Indian offshoot of the hacktivist group might have been responsible for the hack.

Take notice that the group renamed the account to ‘Retarded Gandhi’ and Here are some of the tweets that were sent out:

    And then some hilarious ones

Some of the tweets were being deleted a short while after they were posted. However, whoever hacked the account soon changed the bio of the handle.

Will Arvind Kejriwal be next? Although, he doesn’t need any hacking, though.

Movember (or No Shave November) is a movement that originated in 2004, and is all about growing out one’s facial hair to raise awareness about health issues no one talks about—prostate cancer being one of them! It's essentially about celebrating life (and longevity) and how better to do it than being lazy, growing out your beard and looking good while doing so. Because why not?
We spoke to 30 men—who seem to have mastered the art of grooming a good mug-rug—on how it's actually done. Read on...
It's November—where are you right now, how are you feeling, what are you eating, drinking and listening to?
In the North Pole, everyone is prepping for December—which is usually our busiest month EVER. However, I’m partying it up in Ibiza—in my tiny shorts, taking some much-needed time off. Because why not?!
Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it? Any special beard stories:
Forever, duh! This is a while ago, but Justin Bieber once sat on my lap and played with my beard. He was amused, I wasn’t.
Do you use products? If so, what are your favorite beard products?
I use a century old beard wash—which is made once every 100 years—by the kind folks over at the Elf country. My beard comb is a special gift from Arthur (Curry) and I’ve been using this wax that I picked up at some ‘magical creatures only’ flee a decade ago.

How do you maintain your beard? Tell us your daily routine?
    I woke up like this…
Has growing a full-on beard, changed your sense of style? Do you dress differently when you have a full beard?
I ALWAYS wear a red, velvet suit with matching slippers. Next question, please?!
What is your advice for boys trying to grow their beards?
It’s simple, they can wish for it during Christmas.

Life is highly unpredictable and the heartbreaking story of Tiago da Rocha Vieira Alves, the Brazilian soccer player who passed away in Tuesday’s plane crash in Colombia, proves that. A week prior to the terrible accident, this 22-year-old player found out that he was going to be a father and his happiness knew no bounds.
Alves who was fondly called ‘Tiaguinho’ by his teammates was among the 71 people who lost their lives in the charter plane crash near Medellin. The Chapecoense soccer team was expected to play the Colombian club team Atletico Nacional in the first bracket of the Copa Sudamericana finals on Wednesday.
    © Twitter
Check out this video where Tiaguinho is visibly delighted hearing the news of his wife’s pregnancy from his teammates and rejoicing with them. In fact, he even rocked his arms back and forth to show that he is cradling a baby. It’s sad to see how his family’s lives came down crashing all in a week.
Remembering the deceased player, his cousin Gilmara Marins, told CNN “His wife’s pregnancy is a small miracle. It is a small part of Tiaguinho that stays behind with us. We are thankful.” Marins further added, “He always wanted to be a young father, so I am happy that he got to have that last joy.” According to Marins, Tiaguinho was not only an impeccable player, but also someone who always cared for his family and despite being far away; he would always call his family to ensure they were okay.
The couple was set to celebrate their first anniversary in December. The player’s family is still in immense shock and pain especially after his death has been confirmed and all they are left with now is to wait for his body to finally return home.

Formed in 2007, The Joy Formidable is a Welsh alternative rock band consisting of Rhiannon "Ritzy" Bryan on lead vocals and guitar, Rhydian Dafydd on bass and backing vocals and Matthew James Thomas on drums and percussion. The band’s debut EP ‘A Balloon Called Moaning’ was released exclusively in Japan at first, and then released in UK the following month. The band received a lot of high praise for their first real musical effort.
    © Facebook
The band’s debut album, ‘The Big Roar’, was released in the beginning of 2011 and featured new versions of some of the songs from their EP. The album got a lot of positive reviews with critics calling it a fantastic debut. Two years later, they released their second album ‘Wolf’s Law’ with, again, a lot of favourable reviews. Most of the album was written during their tour in support of their previous record.

The next and most recent album ‘Hitch’ was released this year, and was recorded in lead singer Ritzy Bryan's old family home, outside Mold in Wales. The video for the song ‘The Last Thing On My Mind’ consisted of clips of scantily clad men or nude men, which Bryan explained to be in response to the over-sexualisation of women in modern media, stating "We don't condone objectification in general, the point here is, when the media representation is imbalanced, if we're mostly seeing women sexualised or objectified, from a male perspective or otherwise, it's limited, it's damaging and frankly; it's boring too".

You can catch The Joy Formidable live at the Bacardi Nh7 Weekender in Pune from the 2nd to 4th December.

How do you define the love of a mother? Can you measure it? Is there a way to calculate just how much love a mother is capable of giving and the lengths to which a mother would go for her children? No, few things in life are indeed impossible and this is on the top of that list. This is the story of a mother’s love, which has continued to stay strong, even after her daughter died. This is the story of Dorris Francis.
    © Twitter
If you ever happen to drive by the Aitbar Pushta intersection on the Delhi-Ghaziabad border, you are bound to spot Dorris, standing there, amidst the chaos, managing traffic, every day. She has not been recruited by the traffic police and is neither serving some social agenda, but does her bit for a greater cause and reason. She lost her daughter Nikki at this very place back in 2008. Nikki was undergoing treatment at a hospital and was returning home with her parents who lived in Ghaziabad. While taking a right turn to enter their colony, their auto collided with a speeding Wagon-R. Dorris and her husband suffered injuries but Nikki succumbed to them after struggling in pain for nine months.
Dorris didn’t let the demise of her daughter go in vain, and vowed to do her bit in her memory. If the traffic was well managed that day, Nikki’s fate would have been different. Dorris stands at that intersection every day and manages the traffic, along with other cops in the area, with an ardent aim that no on should suffer like Nikki did. No major accidents have taken place since Dorris took charge and that speaks volumes about her dedication.
    © Twitter
Life has not bee very kind to Ms. Francis in general. Nikki is survived by a young daughter who stays with them, as Nikki’s husband also died. Dorris worries about her grand daughter. Her son supports the family by driving an auto and Dorris doesn’t earn anything with her service, and she doesn’t even expect it, as the love for her daughter that made her do this in the first place. Her day is made when people thank her, and that puts a smile on her face.  Sadly, Dorris was recently diagnosed with cancer and has even been operated for it. Sometimes, life just isn’t fair. It just isn’t!
    © Twitter
Dorris Francis is known as the ‘traffic heroine’ in the area was even featured in a BBC documentary called ‘Unsung Heroes’.  One can never underestimate the power of a mother’s love and Dorris is a stellar example of staying strong, not just for herself, but for every one around her. While tragedies hit us hard, there are very few people like this brave mother who can smack life and misery in its face. Death is strong, but Dorris is stronger than that and I can only hope that people like her can make this world a better place for all of us. What she does is a lesson in humanity that we can all learn from. I only have mad respect for her. Mad, mad respect!

Zakir Abdul Karim Naik is one of the most divisive figures in modern Islam today. His speeches and debates, watched over the world by about a 100 million people, are full of references to the Quran, Geeta and Bible. He is considered by many as the founder of ‘comparative religion’ propagated through Peace TV and yet his views on Islam as a religion can hardly be described as anything other than radical.
Naik was born on 18th October 1965 in Mumbai. He had a pretty decent education as he went to Kishinchand Chellaram College in Churchgate, and also studied medicine at Topiwala National Medical College, and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital. He is an MBBS by education and yet it is his public speaking which makes him one of the most recognizable Islamic scholars in the world. This, as many people would agree, is a ridiculous oversimplification of what Zakir Naik is known for all over the world.
    © BCCL
So what does Zakir Naik actually do? His bio on PeaceTv.in gives this insight to the man:
“Dr Zakir clarifies Islamic viewpoints and clears misconceptions about Islam, using the Qur’an, authentic Hadith and other religious Scriptures as a basis, in conjunction with reason, logic and scientific facts. He is popular for his critical analysis and convincing answers to challenging questions posed by audiences after his public talks.”
Reading the bio one would believe that he is, in fact, very good at what he does. I mean, the guy has an eidetic memory and anyways who would not be convinced by a well reasoned, logical statement supported by scientific facts, right? Wrong. Take a look at this video clip where Naik proves why husbands have the right to beat their wives ‘lightly’.
Now, to any man who is educated or is just simply human, the idea of beating a woman even ever so ‘lightly’ as a manner of admonishment would be disgusting to say the least. That Zakir Naik, being a celeb scholar and an MBBS by education, would even hint of it at a public platform, citing Quran for a source of reference shows the mentality of a man crippled by selective generalization of the holy text.
The manner in which Zakir Naik goes on to stress on the importance of Qu’ran in the philosophy that he preaches also shows why Islam as a religion is being taken for ride by fundamentalists who propagate their own agenda even if it means giving their own little spin to religious texts and interpretations.
    © BCCL
His speeches, no matter how inflammatory in nature, are followed by a massive audience all over the world. And that is not a coincidence. At a time in history when radical Islamic organizations all over the world are spreading their roots, Zakir Naik’s incendiary teachings are bound to reach its target audience. And this is where the concern of the author lies. Take for example how he aptly justifies his hate speech justifying all Muslims to become a terrorist:
“Many of the news channels in India are showing a clipping where I am saying that every Muslim should be a terrorist. Whenever anyone wants to malign me, they show the clipping. This clipping, yes it is me saying it but it is out of context. I said a terrorist is a person who terrorises someone. I also gave an example that a policeman terrorises a robber. So, for a robber a policeman is a terrorist. In this context, every Muslim should be a terrorist to the anti-social element,” Dr. Naik said.
This is the video clip in question which describes how he fully justifies supporting Osama Bin Laden against America:
And no matter how much Zakir Naik might stress on why his teachings are well intentioned. This is not what a radicalized youth in a terror camp understands. He takes these speeches by Zakir Naik at face value, as anyone who is battle hardened to blow himself up, will.
And it was proved once and for all when it was revealed that one of the attackers in the Bangladesh Bakery attacks obsessively followed and was inspired by his speeches. When scholars, especially those who preach strict discipline of Quran, become influencers for terrorists it’s a clear indication of something rotten in those studies preached by the scholars.

In the end, it is up to the modern Indian Muslim youth to decide what teachings they want to follow and pass on to their next generation. A person propagating hate and violence as a means of upholding his religious identity is nothing more than a coward.
This is however, not the end of the story. Recently after the Dhaka attacks his NGO Islamic Research Foundation was in the docks for brainwashing youth into radical Islamic activities. It was linked to various organizations in Kerela and was then banned by the government for five-years. Now that Naik’s activities are thoroughly under the scanner, the scholar sitting in his plush home in Dubai, planning his next moves. For now though, the Zakir Naik phenomenon is firmly anchored outside India.

The Indian satire and comedy website ‘Unreal Times’ that has been making all of laugh for five years is now allegedly shutting down. Formed in the year 2011, the parody website has been providing us with mockery of latest news, politics and governments decisions and to be honest, their take has always been hilarious. For instance when the government announced the Direct Cash Transfer scheme, the founders CS Krishna and Karthik Laxman, had written in an article called ‘Government mulls direct cash transfers by dropping money bags from the sky’.
    Announcement: We are shutting down… #NotUnreal https://t.co/w1eCofCFrv
    — The UnReal Times (@TheUnRealTimes) November 29, 2016 @TheUnRealTimes Oho. That's sad. Just read your post, and yes, I went and bought the book. :)
    — Ramesh Srivats (@rameshsrivats) November 29, 2016 The ‘Unreal Times’ became popular really quickly and is followed by many celebrities as well as politicians on social media. They have given us many cult articles and will always remain etched in our minds and one of the most ‘deep and yet hilarious’ websites. Their first book was released in 2014, named ‘Unreal Elections’, written by, Krishna and Lakshman. It is a satirical book, published by Penguin Random House.
While writing an article about the closure of their website, using the pen name ‘Unreal Mama’, they said- “Regardless of how you might react to this announcement, on behalf of all our writers, we would like to tell you folks that it has been a privilege entertaining you, making you smile and once in a while, making you go ‘Dawg, that’s deep’. For over five years we did this, and boy, did we have a ball! “
We wish the guys at the ‘Unreal Times’ the best of luck in the future. We have all been thoroughly entertained all these years.

Horror is probably the most difficult genre to attempt, when it comes to filmmaking. You’ve got to build it up just right – anything more and it would start to get boring and anything less wouldn’t give you the thrill. An indie short film called ‘Dinner’ is doing the rounds on the internet and even though it’s just a bit over 3 minutes long, it’s going to shock you. The most terrifying thing is the after-thought that follows – who really was the ghost?
This Chaikhari film by Saahil Saple is horror done right.

If you always wonder from where does Sonam Kapoor get her amazing fashion sense, then here’s the answer. It’s not just her super talented stylist sister Rhea Kapoor who pulls the creative chords, but it seems as though fashion runs in the family.
Daddy Anil Kapoor, 59, is killing it on the red carpet (in Hollywood too). In a time when Bollywood’s younger crop is trying hard to experiment, it seems class comes naturally to Anil Kapoor. One glance at his Instagram feed will cement the fact. Be it carrying those tailored suits or sporting bright hued pieces like any gen-z Bollywood cookie, Anil Kapoor is not letting his style guards down.

What does it take to be an armyman’s wife? Sacrifice and extreme mental strength. The wives of two army officers posted in Nagrota area of Jammu prevented terrorists from entering their quarters and averted a hostage situation.
Armed terrorists disguised as policemen entered an army unit that housed the family quarters as well, with an intention to take into hostage the families of the officers. But the wives of two of the officers were quick enough to act and piled up household items behind the entrance from where the terrorists were trying to get in. Along with them were their infants aged 18 months and two months.
"The wives of the two army officers, who were on night duty when the encounter broke out, displayed exemplary courage as they blocked the entry of their quarters with all the household items, making it difficult for the terrorists to break into the houses," an army officer told PTI.

"The terrorists entered two buildings which were occupied by officers, families and men. This led to a hostage-like situation. The situation was very quickly contained and thereafter, in a deliberate operation all were successfully rescued, which included 12 soldiers, two women and two babies," Defence spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said.
The terrorist attack, that is believed to be the biggest terrorist strike after the Uri attacks, wasn’t without casualties and 7 jawans were martyred fighting the terrorists.

If football was a lottery, footballers would surely be the high-earning winners. Hefty pay checks, swanky mansions, mean machines and, not to mention, attractive women, the men in the game thoroughly enjoy them all.
Amidst all the perks and incentives, it's the natural ability of the footballers to dominate female attention that clearly stands out. From sizzling models to high-profile actresses, the footballers truly know how to make themselves look good.
It's almost as if there's a specific clause in their contract that demands them to have a hot girlfriend or a stunningly beautiful wife to play for a particular team.
Some women aspire to date footballers to raise their profile, while others just simply love a man dominating the sport. After all, who doesn't like to sit in the VIP box or hang-out at the coolest parties alongside big-shot socialites? Ultimately, women love footballers and the footballers, too, appreciate a hottie by their side.
Whether it's fame, fortune or just the luxury of not having to slog for a living, some women have ended up dating multiple footballers (definitely not at the same time). This in turn has often got footballers dating another player's ex.
Yes, it has happened before on numerous occasions and it sure will continue as long as football is at the pinnacle of global sports. So, here's a list of top 10 footballers who dated the same women in the past:
Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Bent - Gemma Atkinson © Instagram
An English actress, TV personality and a lingerie model, Gemma Atkinson dated the three-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo in the early stages of his career at Manchester United. However, if you know Ronaldo's history with women then you’d have probably guessed that their relationship didn't last too long.
Earlier, Atkinson dated the former Everton striker, Marcus Bent. Their relationship didn't start too well, but after dating Danielle Lloyd, Bent came back to Atkinson. The two eventually got engaged, only to call it off in a few months.
Sergio Ramos, Alexis Ruano and Sergio Sanchez - Elisabeth Reyes © Instagram
Whosoever said that the third time's a charm could have probably meant for former Miss Spain Elisabeth Reyes. A model and moderator by profession, Reyes dated Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos and Deportivo Alaves defender Alexis Ruano before eventually settling down with FC Rubin Kazan's Sergio Sanchez.
Mesut Ozil and Matteo Ferrari - Aida Yespica © Instagram
A Venezuelan TV personality, model, actress and a former beauty pageant contestant, Aida Yespica dated Italian footballer Matteo Ferrari for two years and also have a son, Aron Ferrari, together. After her break-up, Yespica got involved with German footballer Mesut Ozil.
It is believed that she was the alleged reason behind Real Madrid's decision to sell Ozil to Arsenal. The Los Blancos were miffed by their playmaker's frequent visits from Spain to Milan in order to see her. The visits, apparently, took a toll on his form and the Spanish giants were clearly not impressed.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos - Nereida Gallardo © Instagram
Real Madrid greats Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo almost found themselves in an awkward position following their relationship with Nereida Gallardo. A Spanish model, who originally hails from Majorca, Gallardo met Ramos at a Madrid nightclub back in 2007 and the two dated a brief period.
In 2008, Gallardo - once again - found a gem in a Madrid club when she met Ronaldo. She got his initials tattooed on her wrist and also spent weekends at Ronaldo's Cheshire home. But after nine months together, the Real Madrid star dumped her by a text message.
Gallardo, for obvious reasons, didn't handle the break-up well as she went on to humiliate the star by claiming that he was a flop in bed while speaking on Spanish TV. If that wasn't enough, Gallardo also revealed Ronaldo's favourite underwear - a pair of tight red pants with an elephant's trunk on the front - and, in her own words, "they don't quite fit him." Now that's gotta sting more than a bit.
Mario Balotelli and Cristiano Ronaldo - Raffaella Fico © Instagram
At the age of 21, Italian singer and model Raffaella Fico was on the verge of publicly auctioning off her virginity for a whopping 1 million Euros but withdrew the offer, perhaps considering that the football market was more lucrative.
She eventually lost her virginity to Cristiano Ronaldo (as she claims) during their relationship that lasted for about 11 months. And, just like Ronaldo's former ex-girlfriends, she, too, claims that the Real Madrid superstar is no good in bed.
In 2011, Fico started dating controversial Italian striker, Mario Balotelli. The pair dated for a few months until Balotelli's infidelity ruined their relationship. Shortly after their break-up, Fico announced her pregnancy provoking the ire of Balotelli who refused to acknowledge that the child was his. It took a DNA test to make Balotelli admit that he was the father.

Winters strip the natural moisture of skin—not only for women, but also for men. A brutal winter doesn’t just impact our immune system; it also does a good job of ripping apart the skin’s natural and protective barrier, which is its moisture, too. This means winter skin care isn't just a good idea; it's a necessity for men as well. We got renowned dermatologist, Dr Kiran Lohia, Medical Director at Lumiere Dermatology, to share the four essential skin care tips for better skin during the winters. Because, even men should have good skin!
    1. Hydrate Your Skin Regularly Hydrating the skin gets moisture in it. This has as much to do with certain lifestyle choices as with what you put on your skin. The amount of water you drink and the humidity of your environment will always impact your skin’s condition. Use humidifiers in rooms during winters.

    2. Keep A Moisturizing Diet Anything containing the EFAs (essential fatty acids) omega-3 and omega-6 will help lock moisture into the skin. Flax seeds, linseed oil, and fish oils are all worth checking out.

    3. Look For Hydrating Components In Skin Products Switch to hydrating skin products such as hydrating serum. The smaller molecular structure of a serum means it will penetrate even deeper into the skin and will provide more nourishment. Look for constituents such as Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin and Humectants in skin products that promote the increase of natural moisture present in skin.

    4. Use Sun Block Perhaps, the most common skin care myth during winter months is that you can’t get sunburned. UV exposure is usual part of the process when your skin is exposed to sunlight, regardless of the season. Therefore, a winter sunscreen is a must. A broad-spectrum sunblock with SPF 30 (or more) should always be used – whether indoors or outdoors.

If there weren’t enough child prodigies in the world raking in millions while we struggle with basic savings, there’s a bull out there who’s more successful than you and I will ever be. Meet Yuvraj Singh. Yes, that’s what he’s called.
    © Twitter
Yuvraj is worth Rs 9 crores and that makes him the most expensive bull in the whole f*cking world. A single ejaculation of Yuvraj, triggered with the help of a teaser animal or by electro-stimulation method, generates between 4-6 ml of semen, which is then diluted scientifically and 500 to 600 doses prepared with it, reports Times Of India.
A single dose for artificial insemination is stored in plastic straws and kept inside liquid nitrogen containers and costs Rs 300. One batch approximately costs Rs 1.5 lakh!
    © YouTube
His owner Karamvir told TOI that he makes about Rs 40-45 lakh every year just from donating Yuvraj’s sperm but of course, a lot of it goes in keeping him in good health.
"I spend roughly Rs 3,000 per day on eight-year-old Yuvraj's food. The money which I earn from Yuvraj helps me keep my other buffaloes in better condition. I could have charged more than Rs 300 for a single dose, but I deliberately keep the price low as I want to carry on with this business as a social service", said Karamvir.
Karamvir revealed that he named the bull after Yuvraj Singh because of his soaring success in the field of Cricket. He even went on to name the bull’s father Yograj and mother Ganga.
Well okay, time to get back to our poor lives.
