Since the day of its implementation, demonetization has attracted fans and foes alike. But, one thing even the supporters would agree to is, had it been implemented in a better way, things wouldn’t have been this chaotic. Every now and then, new rules are being announced only to be modified later, leaving the public confused about the whole concept. For instance, the latest announcement was that you can no longer exchange notes over the bank counters, although it was earlier said that the last date is December 30. While the nation is facing a cash crunch, it was earlier reported that some printing defects were found in the new Rs. 500 note that further left people baffled.

Considering the gemstone that Twitter is, it couldn’t stay silent and did what it’s known for, taking a humorous dig at it. Sanjay Sipahimalani’s analogy is by far the most hilarious one and apt on this whole fiasco. He explains the whole execution in an in-flight announcement style which you just can’t ignore.
If in-flight announcements were made in the manner of demonetisation notifications: (1/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 Hello, and welcome aboard. Do fasten your seatbelts, because we’re in for a bumpy ride. (2/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 You can stow cabin baggage in the overhead compartment for the first 15 minutes after which you need to place it under your seat. (3/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 After five more minutes, you can take it out and place it on your lap. Until further notice. (4/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 You can switch off your cellphones now. Those who switched off cellphones five minutes ago may be subject to penalty. (5/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 There is no penalty for those using pre-paid cards that they have purchased in the last 24 hours. (6/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 Or is it 12 hours? We’ll let you know. (7/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 Our in-flight crew will be happy to take care of your needs. Write down stated needs and get the signature of the airline CEO. (8/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 Food will be served first to those sitting on rows 1 to 12. After 5 minutes, we’ll reverse the order. Then it's odd-numbered rows. (9/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 Unless the food runs out. (10/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 Those who are already full are encouraged to distribute leftover food to those less fortunate. (11/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 In case of turbulence, oxygen masks will drop down. Before using these, you need to provide a chest X-ray that is KYC-compliant. (12/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 The flight should take 60 minutes, but it could be more. Or less. It’s a small inconvenience. Take this flight for the nation. (13/13)
    — Sanjay Sipahimalani (@SanSip) 25 November 2016 Kudos to the guy for coming up with such a hilarious explanation.

South African skipper Faf du Plessis was, on 22 November, fined 100 per cent of his fee after being charged by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for applying an artificial substance to the ball during the fourth day's play in the second Test against Australia in Hobart.
As funny as it seems, the substance eventually turned out to be Du Plessis' mint-laced saliva which couldn't have possibly altered the condition of the ball. While the entire Du Plessis episode beggared belief, it was apparently good enough for a British tabloid to dig up footage of Virat Kohli from the first Test at Rajkot where the Indian captain was seen doing something similar.
    © BCCL
In Du Plessis' case, the South African skipper was reported by the on-field umpires and subsequently charged by the ICC. However, Kohli's incident was not reported. More importantly, the Rajkot Test ended on 13 November and if the Alastair Cook-led side had any complaints, they should have made it official by 18 November.
As per the ICC regulations on ball-tampering, a team can only lodge a complaint against a rival team or its player in this regard within five days of the completion of the Test match. So why would England wait for nine-odd days to bring it to the attention of the ICC? It surely beats our understanding.
So ultimately, the ICC - having attracted a lot of backlash for the Du Plessis saga - eventually quashed the allegations of ball-tampering leveled against the Indian Test captain. But, apparently, the ICC's decision didn't go down well for the British media as one of their scribes brought the incident back into light during a pre-match media conference on 25 November.
    © BCCL
Kohli, who was addressing the media ahead of the third Test in Mohali, was asked about the footage showing him applying saliva to the ball while chewing on mint. And, the Delhi lad replied with authority while pointing out what it meant to be poor losers.
“I think it’s just to take the focus away from the series to be honest. It happened in Australia when South Africa won the series. I’m surprised the issue of what I’ve been told came up in Rajkot but there was no mention until the result in Vizag,” he said.
“To me a newspaper article doesn’t matter over the decision of ICC. We as cricketers respect that only. And allegations and speculations? I don’t read newspapers so I’m not aware of these things, someone told me and I laughed it off. Some people are trying to take the focus away from the series — good luck to them. But we’re totally focussed on what we have to do,” he added firmly.
    © BCCL
But the British scribe was apparantely not happy and probed further, "You doing what Du Plessis was doing?" To which Kohli posed a counter-query: "What was I doing?"
"If I was doing something, ICC would have spoken to me," the Indian batting sensation shut the Brit journo once and for all. Now, that's a cricketer who doesn't just look in control, but also sounds like one.

What happens after you become rich, after you rise from the pits? Most people would get consumed by their success and move on, keeping with them only the closest of friends and family from the past. But Antonino Fernández, founder of Corona beer, never forgot where he came from. The man left in his will a whopping fortune of £169m (that’s over 1400 crores in INR) to his Spanish village Cerezales del Condado, where he grew up.

Each resident of the village will inherit approximately £2m (17 crores approximately), leaving them all millionaires.
    © Telegraph
Antonio was born in 1917, in the village and grew up poor, having had to leave school at the age of 14 due to lack of money. In 1949, he moved to Mexico after his wife’s uncle who owned Grupo Modelo invited them to relocate. Starting as a warehouse employee, he rose in the ranks over the years to become CEO and made the brand an international success.
    © Twitter
Fernández has been known for his philanthropy for long and was even felicitated by the king of Spain. He passed away in August this year at the age of 99.
There are very few people who remember where they came from and are grateful to all those who have supported them even in the smallest of ways in their journey. You are truly successful when you can make a difference to someone else’s life, aren’t you?

So by now we all know what India looks like after demonetisation. People stepping on each others feet, pushing one another, trying to get that fresh currency seems to have become the order of the day.
While you were in a soup, here is an image for you, showing what India looks like in these tough times. An image shared by Twitter user @iamGinjanGrunge captioned “Finally, NASA has released recent image of India,” has set internet ablaze. The image has obviously not been released by NASA!
The picture has been re-tweeted approx. 1700 times and has more than 1500 likes.  The image shows people standing in a queue from North India continuing up to South India outside the State Bank Of India.

JSW Group, an Indian multinational is thinking of diversifying into electric manufacturing. This comes at a time where Modi’s government is trying to support environmentally friendly policies and a support towards non-polluting vehicles will be the biggest move yet.
Electric Vehicles use very expensive batteries due to which it has failed to become a success in a country like India simply because the country lacks enough power to support an ecosystem of electric cars. The Indian market is very cost-conscious due to which it has acted as a deterrent in raising the consumption of electric cars. The government plans to support the manufacturing of electric cars in India by lowering the taxes as they would like to increase the number of electric vehicles to rise up to 7 million by 2020. India currently has only 20,000 electric cars, which are not ideal for a country that has the second highest carbon footprint in the world.
Mahindra and Mahindra are the only Indian firm that makes electric cars, but sales have been softer than expected. However, JSW’s electric car plans have been blessed and endorsed by transport minister Nitin Gadkari and he has also offered help to Tesla to set up manufacturing plants in India.
It is not clear whether JSW plan to install charging stations as well but they are in heavy talks with the ministry and plans to spend $ 2 billion by 2020.

I met the very talented and enterprising Kenny Sebastian who came a long way in his 8-year-old long journey, which he kickstarted with videos online, at a performance at Hard Rock Café, Andheri. And he enthralled his audience till the very end. Kenneth originally hails from Bangalore and he first made parodies, covering popular songs, which got him a significant following on his YouTube channel. During IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo, Kenny’s improvised riff struck chords with the judges and the audience alike, which meant it was a total win for the stand-up comedian, hands down!
Five years down the line, he is an established artist in the field with an avid and ever-increasing fan following.
    © Insider
Comedy happened for Kenny, through various forms of art. “I was into filmmaking during my school days. After I finished school, I decided to go to an art college so I could have the freedom to do and learn anything on the side. The result was I dabbled in music, theater and, eventually, stand-up comedy,” he says. He loves the fun that comes with experimenting in his field and his family has stood by him throughout the journey. “I was financially, self-sufficient at a very young age,” he reminisces. “I used to be a graphic designer and freelance for corporate films and companies before I decided to make a mark as a stand-up comedian.”
    © Twitter
Known for his unmatched skill to create songs, chosen by a group of his fan following, Kenny has charmed his audiences and fans, alike. Remembering his most memorable act, he says “It has been touring for my last special when people started coming to watch me perform for an hour and I didn’t have to prove myself to them.”
    © Facebook
Some of Kenny’s favourite comedians in the present day and age include Tanmay Bhat, Kanan Gill, Naveen Richard, Abish Mathew, Seinfeld, Louis CK, Bryan Reegan, Dave Chappelle and John Mulaney. He believes that stand-up comedy was always been well-received, even in a country like India where the level of tolerance and intellect may not be as advanced as it is internationally. Kenny is of the opinion that India is getting there. “The so-called intolerance is propagated by certain parts of the society that are using it as a promotional tool,” he explains. “The audiences I cater to are very broad-minded and mature. Maybe I have just been lucky to have gravitated towards such an audience.” As long as artists like Kenny Sebastian continue to create original, creative and thought-provoking work, with a sense of humour, there is hope for the country. Laughter instills hope, after all.

People know Barack Obama as one of the coolest Presidents America has ever seen and someone who can mesmerize you within seconds with his words. However, not many people know about his younger days or the struggles he has gone through. Well, Netflix has come up with an original series, called ‘Barry’ that focuses on the journey of a young Barack Obama who arrived in New York City in the fall of 1981 to start his junior year at Columbia University. One look at the trailer and we bet you are already murmuring, “This is definitely going to be on my binge-watch list.”
The story talks about the various social struggles that Barry faces, in a crime-ridden and racially charged environment, to maintain strained relationships with his mother born in Kansas, his estranged Kenyan father and his classmates. Barry is a great attempt at showcasing serious issues that America and the rest of the world are still grappling with. It will be on available to stream on Netflix on December 16.

Tesla recently completed their purchase of SolarCity for $2.6 Billion and the company did not waste any time by announcing a major solar project where they will be powering an entire island with solar energy.
    © YouTube
The island of Ta’u in American Samoa will be the test site and they have already started installing batteries and microgrid of solar energy panels. The island previously ran exclusively on diesel generators and Tesla plans to replace the same by providing nearly 100 percent of power via their Solar panels for 600 residents.
    © Tesla
The microgrid will comprise of 5,328 solar panels and will also install 60 power packs for  batteries. Elon Musk might have shot himself in the foot as the acquisition of SolarCity is a risky move as they purchased a company that was far from achieving profit however Musk insists that the buyout was “blindingly obvious”. Musk thinks that this solar “Master Plan” to integrate clean energy in society is necessary and hopes to achieve the impossible all over the world.
    © Tesla
The American Samoan authorities funded the project and Tesla estimates that this move will offset the island’s usage of 109,500 gallons of diesel per year. It will also reduce the cost of transporting this fuel as the island is in a remote area. "Factoring in the escalating cost of fuel, along with transporting such mass quantities to the small island, the financial impact is substantial," said Tesla in a blog post.

The new solar panels are capable of giving the island energy for up to three days without sunlight and it is capable of recharging in seven hours.

What did you get as a birthday gift when you were young? A new badminton racket? A brand new sparkling…sketch pen set?! Aww..that’s cute. I got a bar of chocolate.
What can we say, whether it be a Rs 500-crore wedding or a Mercedes Benz as a birthday gift, looks like there’s no dearth of money for some in the country. Twitter seemed to agree:

What would you do if you spotted your ex in a public place? Reminisce the past maybe, or steal a glance or just avoid an eye contact, right? Well, some people find enthusiasm in literally ‘facing’ their past and that’s exactly what this 23-year-old woman did. She was in a bank queue in Nashik, cursing and reaping demonetisation repercussions like all of us, when she spotted her ex lover in the bank queue.
    © YouTube
The story started unfolding when instead of nostalgia, she was gripped with sheer anger and she called her brother and father on the spot, who ended up thrashing the poor guy. The woman then went on to file a complaint against him and then the cops intervened. Apparently, the woman explained that this 35-year-old man left her stranded four years ago. The poor guy was badly bruised and had to be sent to a civil hospital. Talk about sweet revenge!

Don’t know how to feel about that, though.

Following a comprehensive loss in the second match against India, the visiting Englishmen will have to come out all guns blazing in the crucial third Test if they intend to stay alive in the five-match series.
So far, Alastair Cook’s side has not looked as convincing on the field as they do on paper. The visitors undoubtedly outplayed the Indians at Rajkot, but only managed to get a draw in the end. At Vizag, they looked more promising until losing eight of their 10 wickets to the Indian spinners in the second innings.
    © BCCL
The lack of application and temperament by the England batsmen was pivotal in their demise in the second Test. Apart from skipper Cook, Joe Root and probably Ben Stokes, none of their batsmen managed to counter the Indian spinners. And, Ben Duckett was one particular batsman who stood out for all the wrong reasons.
Going into the third Test, England have made a few changes. England have put their faith in the fairly inexperienced Jos Buttler to replace Duckett. In the bowling department, Stuart Broad's injury seems to have paved the way for Chris Woakes.
On the other hand, Team India - high on a 16-match winning-streak at home - have also opted for a couple of changes. Swing maestro Bhuvneshwar Kumar makes his way back into the side, while a surprise inclusion of Parthiv Patel has also been made in place of injured Wriddhiman Saha.
Win toss and bat first © Twitter
One of the most important aspects in the past two Tests has been winning the toss and opting to bat first. Both, at Rajkot and Vizag, each team won the toss respectively, and decided to bat rather than field. The idea seems to be putting a mammoth total on board to put pressure on the opposition and the tactic seems to be working just fine.
In the first Test, Cook won the toss and England went on to amass 537 runs. The Indians, who scored 488 in the first innings, were put under immense pressure and had to play off their skins to salvage a draw. The scenario in the second Test was pretty much the same with Kohli opting to bat first and India putting up 455 runs on board to corner the Englishmen who eventually fell short by 246 runs.
    Pitch scenario © BCCL
Endowed with sufficient bounce, decent pace and some initial lateral movement, the Mohali wicket is considered to be one the liveliest pitches in India. However, the first Test between India and South Africa last year at this ground saw the match ending in a span of just three days. The wicket on offer was a raging turner as the Proteas conceded a 108-run loss.
Given the nature of the pitches in the series so far, the Mohali wicket will surely assist the seamers in the early sessions, at least on the first two days. But, the fact that the pitch seems a bit drier than usual undoubtedly means that there will be purchase for the spinners as well.
Buttler's baptism by spin © BCCL
The failure of Duckett at the no. 4 slot has been the biggest disappointment for England in the series so far. Not to repeat the same mistake again, England have brought in wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler as a potential replacement.
Buttler, who was dropped as wicket-keeper a year ago, has only played just one first-class game since then. His Test record isn't impressive either. The 26-year-old has only once managed to score over 30 in his last 12 innings. The right-hander's highest score in that period was only 42 runs, while his first-class average of 32.07 is surprisingly lower than Chris Woakes.
For a batsman who is known for his aggressive approach, Buttler's biggest test will be against India's spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. It will surely be interesting to see if he can fend off the spin challenge to repay the faith of the England management.
Don't take England for granted © BCCL
Despite sprinting ahead with a 1-0 lead, Virat Kohli & Co. should not take the struggling Englishmen for granted. If history is to go by, the visitors are more than capable of bouncing back and, even snatch a series win against the home side.
On the last two occasions, England have done exactly that. Trailing 0-1 in 2012, England staged a remarkable comeback to outwit the hosts at Kolkata and Mumbai to clinch the series. The 2014 series was no different either. Despite winning the second Test at Lord's, Team India fizzled out to lose the series 1-3.
    Top performers © BCCL
The Indian team's success has been riding on the back of the prolific form of their skipper Virat Kohli. The Delhi lad has been leading from the front with 337 runs at an average of 112.33 in his last four innings. If Kohli has been dominating, his fellow countryman, Cheteshwar Pujara, has equally complemented his captain with some good performances. The right-hander has amassed 262 runs at an average of 65.50 in the last two Tests.
For England, unfortunately, their batting unit has failed miserably against India's spin challenge. After witnessing four hundreds in the first Test, none of the English batsmen managed to score a hundred. The only silver lining for England in the series so far seems to be their, Adil Rashid, who has claimed 13 scalps from four innings at an average of 28.46.
In case you are wondering why we didn't mention Ravichandran Ashwin in this block, then you ought know why. Ashwin has been spinning a web around the Englishmen and his performances have been so good and consistent that we've decided to omit his name from top performers list till he gets 10 wickets in an innings - because he's that good.

2016 hasn’t been a good year for love. With couples like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie calling it quits, there’s little faith left in celebrity couples. A few weeks ago there were some strong rumours about Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s break up too and that seemed to be the last nail in the coffin.
But turns out, rumours are nothing but…well, rumours!
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh seem to be going strong and these pictures are proof. The two attended a party at the Ambani residence recently and walked out hand-in-hand putting break up rumours to rest.

Researchers and Scientists at the University of Central Florida have developed a new super-capacitor battery prototype which is being touted as one the most ultra-fast charging battery. The battery works like new after recharging it over 30,000 times and it is capable of lasting 20 times longer than the conventional lithium cell batteries.
UCF associate Nitin Choudhary says, "You could charge your mobile phone in a few seconds and you wouldn't need to charge it again for over a week."
Supercapacitors can store electricity statically on the surface of a material, which enables it to charge super quickly. These supercapacitor batteries do not use chemicals like conventional batteries, but it requires material sheets, which have as large surface area and can hold a large number of electrons. The twist is that these supercapacitors use two-dimensional materials and graphene seems to be the popular choice.
    © University of Central Florida
However, UCF researcher Ironwood Jung says that implementing graphene as a two-dimensional material can be a challenge and they chose to wrap 2D materials just a few atoms thick around the conductive nanowires. This lets electrons pass through much quicker and it yielded a fast charging material. "We developed a simple chemical synthesis approach so we can very nicely integrate the existing materials with the two-dimensional materials," Jung says.
The development of this supercapacitor are at an early stage and not yet ready to be implemented in products commercially. "For small electronic devices, our materials are surpassing the conventional ones worldwide in terms of energy density, power density and cyclic stability," Choudhary said. Here’s hoping this technology becomes reliant soon enough that we can drastically reduce our dependency on fossil fuels.

If you are already done with your schooling and you often find satisfaction in parting ‘gyaan’ to school kids, telling them tales of how you are glad it’s over, then hold on. This piece of information might just make you want to go back to school again. The ICSE board is now all set to include ‘Harry Potter’, ‘The Hobbit’, ‘Tintin’ and ‘Asterix’ as a part of the English literature syllabus for the middle school students.
    © Twitter
Hits you in the feels, right? Well, then there is more to this. The new syllabus will also have ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and ‘Anne Frank’, with the ‘Noddy’ series being a part of the syllabus for junior school kids.

    — Prags (@inkdin) November 24, 2016 It’s high time that the CBSE syllabus also gets its much needed makeover. Can the students move forward from reading abridged versions of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘Bishop’s Candlesticks’ please? Imagine an ideal school life where you don’t have to ‘make’ time for your favourite books because you already busy preparing that book for your exams! Well, the other flip side to this could be that once these books become a part of your syllabus, you could lose the motivation to read them. Well, I guess let’s just be happy for the school kids’ shiny and magical future for now.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the man who owns mine-proof cars, guarded by heavily armed security personnel, a Z+ security protectee and has recently got his bathroom bulletproofed has now moved into his lavish bulletproof home in Hyderabad that cost close to Rs 50 crore. Clearly, it seems, demonetization hasn’t even touched him, let alone have any impact. Whether you believe in supernatural activities or the technological advancements, neither of the two have anything as of now that can turn people immortal, then why is he trying so hard and spending so much to protect himself?
    © Facebook
His complex, ‘Pragathi Bhavan’, covers 9 acres in Begumpet, Hyderabad and is equipped with a theatre that can accommodate nearly 250 people and can even double up as an auditorium. Other amenities include a massive conference hall, windows fitted with bullet-proof glass, homes for senior government officials and a mini-secretariat that will include some government offices. The complex has been built by the renowned real estate group Shapoorji Pallonji and though it was originally supposed to cost Rs 35 crores, the final bill reportedly is estimated over Rs 50 crore.
After a grand house warming ceremony or ‘griha pravesh’, the CM moved into in his new house (read: palace). In fact, it is said that Rao is a strong believer in ‘Vaastu’ and every aspect of this house has been determined by ‘feng shui’ and ‘vaastu’ experts. Reportedly, a new government secretariat or office complex is to be built as well, though the construction is on hold right now.
    © Facebook
These huge expenses are definitely not going unnoticed as the opposition and the public has been constantly hitting at Rao, accusing him of using taxpayers’ money to build his lavish home, while the people are struggling with cash crunch and standing in long queues outside banks and ATMs, post the ban on Rs 500 and Rs. 1000 notes. Why is the world so unfair?

After a rather dull and underwhelming start, ‘Bigg Boss 10’ finally seems to pick up pace. How many times do you come across a movie that makes you want to think about life, evaluate your choices and the theme of the movie makes you feel that you have felt this way before? Yes, it happens rarely. ‘Dear Zindagi’, the upcoming Alia-Shah Rukh movie deals with a young woman trapped in depression, thinking how unworthy life is, making horrible life decisions and failing at relationships. Without much ado, here are 5 reasons that will compel you to watch this beautiful movie this weekend:
    1. The story revolves around the theme of depression- Depression is a crippling ailment that can destroy anyone. It is not gender specific, or person specific. This movie deals with this stigmatic theme that plagues everyone around us. By the looks of the trailer, it looks like it has done justice to it.
    2. The fresh casting of Alia and Shah Rukh- It is not every day that you get to watch the quirkiness of Alia and the maturity of Shah Rukh come together and form a fantastic couple on the silver screen.
I just want to be freeeeeee ?#DearZindagiTake1 #DearZindagi
    A photo posted by Alia ✨⭐️ (@aliaabhatt) on Oct 21, 2016 at 1:13am PDT
    3. The excellence of Gauri Shinde- As a viewer, you can totally trust this brilliant director weave magic with sheer simplicity. Her movies highlight reality in a very practical sense and her style of story-telling strikes a chord with everyone. That is a valid enough reason to not miss it.
    © Twitter
    4. Watching Shah Rukh be a mentor again- We all love King Khan as the quintessential romantic guy, making women swoon over him but seldom do we get to see the serious, grave side of his talent. The last time he delighted all of us in his mentor ‘avatar’ was when he played the role of the strong and sensitive Indian hockey team coach in ‘Chak De India’. Watching him share some ‘gyaan’ with Alia is going to be a delight.
    5. The soothing music- A Bollywood movie is incomplete without great music. It’s like a half baked cake. You always have to compromise if the music of a movie is not worth downloading. The music for this movie is already on our phones and we are already in love with it.
In case you haven’t watched the trailer yet, then you have been living under a rock. If you want a date with yourself, then ‘Dear Zindagi’ is the movie you need to watch. See you all at the movies!

Movember (or No Shave November) is a movement that originated in 2004, and is all about growing out one’s facial hair to raise awareness about health issues no one talks about—prostate cancer being one of them! It's essentially about celebrating life (and longevity) and how better to do it than being lazy, growing out your beard and looking good while doing so. Because why not?
We spoke to 30 men—who seem to have mastered the art of grooming a good mug-rug—on how it's actually done. Read on:
    Name: Karan Tacker
    Profession: Actor
    © Karan Tacker
    Where are you right now?
In my living room—in a little work space I have created.
It's November—how are you feeling, what are you eating, drinking and listening to?
It’s November and I’m loving the fact that, finally, the winters are here! I absolutely love the cold. I’m eating a lot of everything and desserts are back in my life, and, so is wine! And while I fill out this interview, I’m listening to some deep house by Alex Cruz.
Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it. Any special beard stories:
It’s funny, how like some 3 years ago when I used to ‘shave’, because even uttering the word now feels dated. Clean shaven was sexy and now there is just a whole new generation of men, who’ve stepped into a more worn-in, easy, unkempt and chilled out look. I’ve been growing this beard for about a month now.
    © Karan Tacker
Do you use products? If so, what are your favorite beard products?
I don’t actually end up using any products. In fact I what I own is a set of good (and long lasting) beard trimmers.
    Are women into beards?
Hell yeah! As much as it pricks, pokes and practically gives them a face scrub—they like it. Let me rephrase, they LOVE it!
    © Karan Tacker
    What's your beard do's and don'ts?
Do—grow a beard, at least once in your life!
    Don’t—Shave it off! (laughs)
Has growing a full-on beard, changed your sense of style. Do you dress differently when you have a full beard?
Ya, my boots look sexier with my jeans thanks to the beard! (grins)
One advice for boys trying to grow their beards?
Don’t overthink it. Go with the flow!
    © Karan Tacker
    Time for some rapid fire:
    Coffee or Tea?
    Coffee. And lots of it!
One a scale of 1-10 how lazy are you?
    I’m usually hyperactive, but when I’m lazy, it’s usually a 10!
One person, you look up to in the  industry?
Too many actually, but Shah Rukh Khan is someone who’s inspired me to act, sing, dance and say very filmy romantic lines!
    Favorite song right now:
    CHANNA MEREYA © Karan Tacker
If you were not an actor, you would be...
I would be a wannabe actor!
    Your ideal date would be?
I hope I never encounter an ideal date, because that would just end up being too perfect, and too boring.
    Are you dating anyone?
“We are not close enough for me to tell you that…”
One thing you hate about your job…
Hate? Never! Man, I live for my job.
One thing you love about your job...
    EVERYTHING!
    © Karan Tacker
    Describe your sense of style?
My style is easy, sporty and casual

Ever since the sudden demonetization move was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, almost everyone, be it politicians, noted economists or the common man (sorry it’s not you, Arvind Kejriwal), is talking about this bold and ‘revolutionary’ step. Amidst the innumerable comments, there are a few people whose opinions really matter, sometimes only to add more ‘masala’ / ‘fuel’ to the already burning issue. However, today everyone was stunned when former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh spoke in the Rajya Sabha where he scrutinized the demonetization move by calling it “organized loot and legalized plunder”. He even hinted that this decision can lead to a 2% fall in GDP of the economy.
He is a prominent economist and a man of few words, for which he always received flak from leaders and people alike. So, as expected seeing him speak after such a long time turned more heads than the issues he spoke about and our favourite platform, Twitter, left no stone unturned in cashing on the topic. Some trolled him majorly for speaking for the first time, there were some who criticized him for his party’s actions. Although there were many who praised him for his valid points as well.
