    Ravi Shastri’s commentary is one of the mainstays of any cricket match in India, be it the international games or the IPL. His unique style and twist of the tongue is well recognized all over the cricketing world. And so, though the years his ‘Tracer Bullet’ catchphrase has become very popular.
    Virat Kohli, along with Hardik Pandya and spinner Ashwin, took on the tracer bullet challenge to try and imitate the Indian commentator the best they could. And we, for once, were surprised that Virat Kohli couldn’t actually nail it. Take a look yourself.

    But it’s fine as long as he keeps scoring and winning these test matches for India. Maybe he can take some mimicry classes from Anushka?

    Yeah, you’ve probably had too much of these silly mash-ups of popular Hollywood and iconic Bollywood songs but trust me when I say, this one’s worth it! If you’ve grown up watching Bollywood films, learning dialogues and copying hook steps of all the best songs, you’re going to want to try the ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast’ choreography on ‘Cheap Thrills’. You know, because nothing feels better than scandalizing the f*ck out of random people at clubs!

    Coldplay performed in India last weekend and it was quite a spectacle, to be honest.
    I mean, Chris Martin performing to ‘Vande Mataram’ with the God of music, A.R. Rahman himself was  the best thing ever. It was quite a sight, especially when Martin started to sing along.

    We all know John as a muscle flexing Bollywood hunk with a sturdy build but when it comes to injuries while working, every one is vulnerable and John is no different. 
    2 weeks ago John took to his Instagram to post a video of his knee surgery after he was injured shooting for ‘Force 2’ . It was captioned with, “When we say "blood and sweat" goes into making a film... we mean it! In the hospital on my way to 3 knee surgeries while shooting for Force2 #pain #comeoutstronger @force2thefilm”.

    In his recent interview, John said that he might have lost his leg owing to the increased infection in his knee. Though he was wary of his injuries, he continued shooting. Doctors opened his knee up and removed the clot but after a week, they warned him that his leg might be amputated due to the increased infection. But, after his third surgery, his leg was saved.
    When you are a star who performs stunts on his own, these injuries are bound to happen.

    How people today perceive fitness is the reason why ‘stretching’ is in a sad state of existence. More or less, it’s dead. What’s worse is what people do right before starting a workout. Yup, that ‘half-assed-trying-to-touch-your-toe’ thing, that’s worse than not stretching at all. Stretching is the foundation of having lesser sore and flexible muscles. Stop fooling yourself in the name of toe-touches and learn how and why, stretching plays a vital role in your physical development. And yes, it will help you walk less like a corpse when your muscles are sore.
    Anatomy Of The Muscles And What Stretching Does
    Simply put, stretching is the temporary lengthening of the muscle fibers. Stretching increases the blood to micro and major tissues that constitute a muscle. This, eventually, increases the stretch-ability and mobility of the muscles. Muscle’s unique characteristic of elasticity allows it to lengthen and contract without injury. Fascicle is the largest unit of the muscles. Fascicle is further made up of smaller components called myofibrils, which is composed of overlapping bands called sarcomeres.  When you stretch, the overlap decreases and the muscles lengthen and when you contract, it increases.

    Now when you try to stretch a cold rubber band, it will break. That’s a no brainer. Just like the rubber band, our muscles get cold too. While we are at rest, the blood flow in the muscles is slow paced and restricted when compared to while working out. This makes the muscles ‘cold’. Now when you start stretching right off a chair, you are headed for a sprain. Hence, those toe touches, side twists and elbow folds are useless.

    Dynamic stretching is not just bending here and there and throwing your limbs around in the name of stretching.     Do ‘Static’ Stretching After Finishing A Workout Now static stretching is nothing but standing in a place and stretching your limbs. It’s meant to be done AFTER a workout and not before. The logic is simple: your body is warm after a workout so it makes sense for a static stretch.

    Stretching Reduces The Chances Of Injury, And Doesn’t Eliminate It Now don’t think that you can get away with bad form on different lifts just by stretching. Stretching doesn’t guarantee elimination of injury. If your form sucks and your ego lift, you will be injured, stretching or not.

    Australia just made history by becoming the first continent in the world to legalize marijuana, following a vote that was taken by their Parliament this Wednesday. The new amendments were made to their Narcotic Drugs Act, which makes cannabis farms and distribution of marijuana based products completely legal.
    Sussan Ley, the Minister of Health, said in a statement, “This is a historic day for Australia and the many advocates who have fought long and hard to challenge the stigma around medicinal cannabis products so genuine patients are no longer treated as criminals,”  she went on to proclaim, “This is the missing piece in a patient’s treatment journey, and [we] will now see seamless access to locally produced medicinal cannabis products from farm to pharmacy.”
    The details and technicalities still have to be finalized, but it is believed that within the next few months, patients with a medical marijuana prescription will be allowed to grow their own crops as well.

    A big gem has been added to India’s Naval security as the Kolkata-class guided missile destroyer the India Naval Ship (INS) `Chennai` has been commissioned into the Indian Navy on Monday, 21st Nov.     The powerful vessel is propelled by a Combined Gas and Gas (COGAG) propulsion plant, consisting of four reversible gas turbines, which enables it to achieve a top speed of over 30 knots (approximately 55 km per hour). The ship is fitted with `Kavach` chaff decoy system for defence against enemy missiles and for defence against enemy torpedoes, it is fitted with the `Mareech` torpedo decoy system, both of which have been developed indigenously in India.

    The ship has even been dispensed with very high levels of automation with revolutionary digital networks such as ATM-based integrated Ship Data Network (AISDN), Combat Management System (CMS), Automatic Power Management System (APMS) and Auxilliary Control System (ACS).

    For all the dads out there, who are on the go 24X7 (thanks to your corporate engagements!), taking care of the kids, waking them up every morning, feeding them and bathing them might not be the first task in your agenda. But for Simon Hooper, this is a day summed up. Simon, 33, who is an Operations Director at a management company in London is a dad of 4 girls, Anya, 9 , Marnie, 6 , and ten-months-old twins Ottilie and Delilah, started posting pictures of his daily chores with his girls on his Instagram page, @father_of_daughters. Within a few months he accumulated a following of staggering 260,000 people. His Instagram is not just heart-warming but also gives a real glimpse of what parenting looks like.  It is not all about beautiful babies with cherry pink cheeks, messes happens and you have to deal with it.

    This is what happens when you are trying to convert a bad hair do into a good hair day. 
    There used to be a time when Fridays nights meant going out drinking with friends and waking up with a hangover that that would require surgery to remove. However Marnie came home today with the dreaded bi-annual "There are nits / lice going around at school" letter, so our Friday nights are now spent carrying out small scale genocide on colonies of unwanted scalp intruders. @mother_of_daughters & I will now spend the rest of the evening quietly observing each other to see which one of us start scratching our heads first whilst mentally cursing all children everywhere.     We all want to offer some help when it comes to performing house chores. 
    The twins now get everywhere at the speed of light and with the silence of a assassin who got an A* in being quiet and sneaky. I took my eye off them for 1 minute and before i knew it they were doing bare handed maintenance on my bike chain. If there's one thing @mother_of_daughters hates, its oil, and the twins were covered in it. As was the floor. And the wall and the glass doors. The torrent of language that came out mouth turned the air blue. Guess that's the last time Im allowed to keep my bike inside. I'll be relegated to the shed with my bike tonight (after bathing the twins in swarfega).     Cooking with the family is important so that they get an early interest in what healthy eating is all about. But when you add two 10 month work experience kitchen hands to the mix who have minimum training and hygiene standards that would get a greasy kebab placed closed down, Jamie Olivers 15 minutes meals turn into Simon hooper's 90 minute botch jobs. In the end you just chuck it all in and hope for the best. The likelihood is that it will get rejected by the discerning clientele anyway.     Baby food never tastes bad. 
    I seem to forget to feed myself sometimes. I can get to 5pm and realise I've had nothing other than a cup of tea that's been microwaved 5 times and has a skin on it that's thicker than I feel after watching a documentary of dark matter. The twins, on the other hand, get 3 square meals a day spooned directly into their mouths. I tried crouching between them in the hope @mother_of_daughters would feed me too (FYI I don't have tiny arms) although I was rumbled by Delilah who kicked up a fuss. They have absolutely zero loyalty or compassion for me.     Yep, they will walk all over you, even on your face. 
    we have A LOT of toys for the girls. Some hand-me-downs, some brand new. We offer up the hand made, ethically sourced, non toxic, bespoke blocks made from organic, carbon offset wood, lovingly sourced from Norway. They look down their nose at them with disgust, decide they're tosh and toss them to one side. Then they go on a rampage to find keys, my wallet, my phone, anything that resembles a remote control and plastic packaging. If that fails, they bug me until i give up the goods.     It is important to maintain the peace. 
    why is it that as soon as I come through the front door, I'm immediately forced to strap on my 'parenting UN' flack jacket & hard hat and dive into conflict resolution mode? Anya and Marnie are locked in a long, drawn out battle over the disputed lands of the sofa, the sovereignty of the blanket and who has rightful ownership of the much sort after SKY remote control. Sanctions are put in place to relieve the tension but both sides are showing little willingness to back down. The situation escalates - heated worded, threats to hostages safety (soft toys, clothing, sweets). The result - the TV going off and remote is hidden (in the cutlery draw). During all this Ottie played the role of Switzerland and didn't get involved.     When the Hooper kids go to the park, they need GPS trackers. 
    When we go to the park nowadays, we take over. Everywhere you look there's a hooper child. I'm considering GPS trackers (are criminal grade ankle tags going too far?) to just keep track of them. I invariably get yelled at across the playground to look at a trick or observe how high someone is jumping of something. Had we been first time parents we'd be running over, warning them of the dangers, ready to catch our little Angels in our arms should they fall. Now I'll look up from my coffee, smile from a distance, say well done and return to daydreaming about doing DIY. If there's a scream, then it's time to move.     Ottie finished the day yesterday by sitting up on her own.     We’re absolutely loving how the latest season of ‘Koffee With Karan’ has given a new found purpose to our lives, especially when there’s nothing to look forward to, with the seventh season of ‘Game Of Thrones’ still being months away!
    Last episode with Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan was a little underwhelming, but these promos from the next episode are more than making up for the disappointment. Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are killing it in these videos and we must say, we’re really excited!

    Tesla has been building vehicles that are autonomous and are capable of driving itself with the hardware it has on-board. In order to achieve a fully self-driving car, Tesla released a short video that shows what their cars can do. The video flaunts their new prototype software in action as the car makes it way through the traffic filled intersections. It demonstrated the cars’ ability to navigate and correctly assess the situation.

    The video is shot from a driver’s POV and it also shows a person sitting behind the wheel because he has to be there due to legal reasons. However, the video also shows that the man does not touch the steering wheel even once or the brake for that matter. You can also see the optical cameras on the car in action and what the cameras are monitoring on the roads. 
    The new video showcasing the autopilot in full action reaffirms that Tesla is heavily investing their time and money in a self-driving car and this video boosts our confidence that these technological marvels will be safe enough for drivers in the coming years.

    Ever since the government imposed the demonetization of 1000 and 500 rupee notes, banks and ATMs have been facing a cash crunch that is infuriating the public. Apparently, only about 22,500 i.e. a tenth of the country’s 202,000 ATM machines have been tweaked to accept new notes. Bank officials are working really hard to help people with their money, but they too can’t really do anything about the slow pace of work, all thanks to the machines that need new parts but are running short in supply. However, a senior official said, “These are being purchased from China.”
    Stating that not all machines need these parts, Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairman of State Bank of India, said “Adequate supplies have been lined up and are now getting continuously received. This will not pose a problem.”

    It was also reported that, “the magnetic component and the hardware, also known as a magnetic spacer and wedge, are not in stock.”Once the supplies are there, it shouldn’t take more than a week to get the ATMs running. What’s more, a senior finance ministry official said some banks have told the government that the situation is manageable. “It is not a big problem and banks are sourcing the supplies,” he said.
    After the discontinuation of old notes, ATMs that haven’t been reprogrammed are still dispensing 100 or 50 rupees notes, resulting in the machines rapidly running out of cash. However, fixing this issue and making changes will take time. “Our aim is to get at least 50,000 machines running in the next one week. If they work 24×7, we will able to manage this problem,” a banker told ET. The official also explained that the mechanism should be able to weigh the currency notes since the money is dispensed from the machines according to weight and if they can’t weigh then they won’t work.

    In fact, some bankers were concerned about remote areas, where it will take time to update the machines, and why the ATM calibration needs to speed up to ease the tension among the public. An official from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said, “We have got 35 lakh transactions, of which 25 lakh has been done on ATMs and around six lakh on various point of sales machines.” It was further added that the indigenous RuPay card’s payment getaways have been functioning smoothly.  
    So, while ATMs are gearing up to be reprogrammed and the new parts are set to be imported, we really hope that the process is over quickly and we can take out more cash.

    It's November— where are you right now, how are you feeling, what are you eating, drinking and listening to?
    Currently in Delhi, staying indoors to avoid the smog, and torn between the gloomy news of Trump winning the American Elections and the bold steps taken by our PM Modi. A warm cup of tea is usually my poison this time of the year, deep house, my preference in music.

    Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it. Any special beard stories:
    It wouldn’t be possible for me to give a timeline for my beard as it only takes 3 days to grow. Currently, I’m two and a half months into growing my beard, which is possibly the longest time I’ve kept my beard!

    Do you use products? If so, what are your favourite beard products.
    I haven’t ever felt the need to use any product (for my beard), but after a recent shoot, I did for The Man Company, I’ve been seriously considering in maybe investing in some.

    How do you maintain your beard. Tell us your daily routine?
    Honestly, it doesn’t take much for me to maintain it. It luckily just grows exactly how I prefer it. I usually get asked about how I shape it and about how is it so dense—but in all honesty it just comes naturally (laughs). But yes every now and then, I’ll go to a professional to get it fixed.

    What are your beard dos and don'ts?
    Do – Ensure that my beard is even, ‘because it makes it look dense and well kept. I also make sure my neck is clean otherwise your face structure doesn’t look quite right!
    Don’ts – Keep it away from children!

    Has growing a full-on beard, changed your sense of style. Do you dress differently when you have a full beard? 
    I don’t alter what I wear according to my beard, but I feel way more confident with one. I’m comfortable wearing anything as long as I have my beard—I think it goes perfectly with everything. I feel like over the past few years, my beard started to have a personality of its own and people now immediately associate me with it.

    Remember the ‘Rock Vs Vin Diesel feud’ that was all up on the internet a few months back? Well, the Rock has no regrets over that. In a recent interview, Dwayne said that he doesn’t regret calling Vin Diesel a candy ass because the entire tussle led to a super surge in the promotion for the 8th installment of 'Fast and Furious'. 

    The Rock said, "I was very clear with what I said. I've been in the game a long time," Johnson, said in the interview. ”Would Universal [Pictures] have preferred that didn't happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest [in 'Fast8'] shot through the roof to a whole other level." 


    This is what the rock has written in his IG post that sparked the uproar “Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't,” he wrote at the time. “The ones that don't are too chicken shitt to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.” This was followed by Vin Diesel saying that ‘he will tell his fans everything’, but never followed up. However, the beef’s dusted now and we can’t wait for the movie to come out!

    Where there’s Indian youth, there’s PM Modi. The much-anticipated Global Citizen Festival or which more or less came to be known as the ‘ColdPlay concert’ went down in Mumbai last night. With over 80,000 fans in attendance, PM Modi addressed the youth via video conference.

    Modi started “I know I stand between you and ColdPlay and so I will make this brief”. He further joked that “You've been smart in asking me to only address (the) gathering and not sing, or else I'm sure you'd be asking (for your) money back, that too in Rs 100 (notes)," he joked during his speech”. 
     

    He also used the opportunity to reflect on the political situation in India with the help of Bob Dylan’s most famous song- The Times They Are A Changin. "Come mothers and fathers, throughout the land, and don't criticise, what you can't understand. Your sons and your daughters, are beyond your command. Your old road is rapidly again'. Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand, for the times they are a changin," said the PM. He also spoke against poverty and poor sanitation and called out the youth to be pillars of support in making India neat and clean and corruption free. He also thanked ColdPlay for coming together and standing shoulder to shoulder in this mission.

    A 14-year-old girl, whose identity has been kept secret, is going to be cryogenically frozen after dying from cancer.
    The divorced parents of the girl disagreed about her wish of being frozen in the hopes of being "woken up" in the future when she could be cured, but the London High Court has now passed a judgment which would let her fulfill her wish.
    Justice Peter Jackson granted the girl, known only as JS, the right to be cryogenically preserved by saying her mother, who had supported her, would be the one to make decisions regarding her body's disposal.
    She had died on the 17th of October in a London hospital and was subsequently frozen and taken to a facility in the US for storage. She is the first British child to be frozen.
    Here's her argument:
    "I have been asked to explain why I want this unusual thing done. I'm only 14 years old, and I don't want to die, but I know I am going to. I think being cryo-preserved gives me a chance to be cured and woken up, even in hundreds of years' time. I don't want to be buried underground. I want to live and live longer, and I think that in the future they might find a cure for my cancer and wake me up. I want to have this chance. This is my wish."
    Her father's counter argument was:
    "Even if the treatment is successful and [JS] is brought back to life in let's say 200 years, she may not find any relative and she might not remember things and she may be left in a desperate situation given that she is only 14 years old and will be in the United States of America."

    We'd like to know your opinion on this matter.
