Three days before his big release 'Force 2' (with John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha)—we spent 10 minutes with actor Tahir Raj Bhasin, and here’s what he had to say...
    © Tahir Raj Bhasin
    Coffee or Tea:
Coffee any day. I'm a total caffeine junkie. Double shot cappuccino.
One a scale of 1-10 how lazy are you?
Zero! I’m Quite the opposite (of lazy). I'm always wired and on-the-ball when I work , because being on a (movie) set is a great high. I'd probably need an over-enthu scale where I'd be a 9 out of 10. For me experiencing the process of making movies is as cool as being in front of camera.
One actor you look up to in the industry?
Amitabh Bachchan. He's a mega star with a body of work across all genres and an onscreen and real life persona that's worth emulating.
    © Tahir Raj Bhasin
    Describe your Bollywood journey?
It started with my first film 'Mardaani', after which I signed onto YRF's talent division—which is really a dream come true for an actor in Bombay. For me, the journey has only just begun and 'Force 2' is my second film. It's a high-octane action drama and it's been great to make a shift from a dark character that I played in my first film to a lighter shade of grey. So far it has all been a roller coaster, but I'm soaking it all in. To people who've followed my journey from the start—I'd say, keep your seat belts on!
Describe your style in one word:
    Subtle
    Resolution for 2017?
To pick super projects and take equal breaks to travel and spend time with family. Also to try and follow John Abraham's diet and fitness tips.
    Best thing about 'Force 2':
The best thing about 'Force 2' is the edge of the seat story line that binds the action together & the subtle moments of dark humour.
    © Tahir Raj Bhasin
    Favourite song right now:
    Ocean drive by Duke Dumont
If you were not an actor, you would be...
    A fighter pilot—my dad was one !
    What's your biggest achievement?
I'm a dreamer and I like the chase so at the cost of sounding filmy I'd say my biggest achievements still lie ahead of me.
    Any regrets?
None. A few hiccups, but only ones you learn from in order to deal with things way better next time around. Life is too short for regrets.
    © Tahir Raj Bhasin
    Your ideal woman would be...
Someone with a smile to die for, skyrocket IQ & a great sense of humour.
Have you fallen in love yet?
Multiple times, I fall in love every few months, and it's always like the first time!
Lastly, one advice for newcomers who are trying to crack Bollywood:
Focus on the everyday process, and not an end game!

The problem with skinny dudes is that they think they eat a lot when they actually don’t. No, eating a lot of junk food doesn’t really count as eating big. The best it can give you is a big gut. Not a good bargain. Also, stop blaming your pencil neck genetics. It has very little to do with how much your physique can mature. While you can work your ass off in the gym, if you aren’t eating big you will stay, well, small.
Why Dirty Bulk Is Stupid Even If You Are Skinny © YouTube
Eating shit tons of junk food to reach your calorie goal is like driving a monster truck on a busy road. You’ll never reach your destination. Putting on weight and that too lean muscle weight is a full time job, not a onetime thing. The quality and the source of calorie matters, what you think doesn’t.  A calorie is not a calorie. If you aren’t dividing your macro intake or at least eye balling it carefully, chances are that you will put on more fat than you initially thought. Overdosing on carbohydrates will only screw up your body composition, make you insulin resistant and the enormous fat gain will eventually make you prone to estrogen production. Think about it! Here, understand how to eat to get the desired results and not get hopelessly fat.
Calculate Your Maintenance Calories And Add From There On. It’s About Trying and Testing! There’s no magic behind gaining muscle. It’s just smart eating. First, calculate your ‘resting energy expenditure’. Multiply your bodyweight in pounds by 11. Now multiply that number your by 1.3 for sedentary, 1.6 for light activity, 1.7 for moderate, 2.1 for very active and 2.4 for extremely active (keep the intensity of your workout in mind and how you spend your day). The final number you get is your maintenance calorie count. This is what you consume to stay put at how much you weigh. To go up, start adding calories. Start with 500. Check every week if the scale goes up and keep a track of how your body is changing. If you are building muscle, good. If you see a fat in the mirror, time to shuffle your macros.

Eating Loads Of Vegetables Is Not Bulking Either. Get Your Macros Straight! Have you ever come across a jacked dude who got jacked eating kilos of veggies? No. Get your protein, carbohydrates and fats in line. Eat clean calorie dense foods. Stick to bananas, oats, white rice, kidney beans and full fat milk. The simple you eat, the easier it would be to judge the impacts of food on your body.
If Eating Every 2-3 Hours Becomes A Task And Harness The Power Of Shakes In order to take in more calories you have got to eat more frequently. Divide your meals into smaller portions and eat after every 2-3 hours. If eating becomes a task, make shakes. Liquids are always easier to consume.
    © YouTube
Cycle Carbohydrates Instead of Primarily Making Them The Foundation Of Your Bulk The biggest mistake dudes make while on a bulk is to over eat carbohydrates. If intelligently used, carbs can sky rocket your gains. If eaten like there’s going to be no tomorrow, you be get nothing but fat. Schedule your carbs mostly pre and post your workout. If you think you need more carbs, squeeze them in other meals but not in massive quantities.
The thing is that to build some decent mass, a lot of feeding is required. You can’t expect to lift heavy, eat small and grow bigger!

Movember (or No Shave November) is a movement that originated in 2004, and is all about growing out one’s facial hair to raise awareness about health issues no one talks about—prostate cancer being one of them! It's essentially about celebrating life (and longevity) and how better to do it than being lazy, growing out your beard and looking good while doing so. Because why not?
We spoke to 30 men—who seem to have mastered the art of grooming a good mug-rug—on how it's actually done. Read on:
    Name: Wesley O’Meara
    Profession: International Hairstylist
    © wessles
It's November— where are you right now, how are you feeling, what are you eating, drinking and listening to?
I live in downtown Brooklyn, New York. It's fall here so I've been eating a lot of Chili! I prefer turkey chili, it's much leaner and that is important for me because I tend to pack on some unwanted pounds in the winter. Especially with all the holidays coming up, I need to cut calories where I can! I LOVE whiskey and I love Guinness summer or winter, I can always enjoy whiskey. I always listen to pretty much the same music. Leonard Cohen has always been in a heavy rotation, and now even more so with his passing. Smog is a favorite as well, as is Chris Garneau.

Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it? Any special beard stories?
I think in the past 15 years, I've maybe shaved with a razor less than 5 times. My father has always had a full beard and I remember from an early age looking forward to the time that I would be able to grow one of my own. So, when I was around 21, my "man hair" finally started to come in on my face and I haven't looked back since! I've become somewhat known for my various stages of mustache styles, and right now I'm going through that ‘70s cop phase/style—think aviator sunglasses and a leather jacket. About 12 years ago, I had a curly handlebar mustache, but once I started to notice it popping up all over Brooklyn, I said goodbye to that. Not that I felt "too cool" to have what everyone else had, it just became a little weird to see it adorned on coffee mugs, stationary, and other very prevalent graphic design variations. It just no longer felt special to me.
Do you use products? If so, what are your favourite beard products?
Right now, I simply use lip balm from Milk Makeup. It has a rosemary scent, and is very balmy. So the smell reminds me of fall (and food) and goes on my lips anyway, so it's like a bonus two for one product. I have a lot of blonde and gray popping through, so from time to time I color it with Just For Men beard and mustache dye. I use a shade that is two levels lighter than my natural color so it tints the lighter hairs leaving me with an end result of a natural looking mustache with highlights rather than a solid strip of mustache that looks like I used shoe polish. (laughs)

How do you maintain your beard? Tell us your daily routine.
I don't have a daily routine, but about once a week I clipper my face with a peanut clipper from Wahl. Leaves me with just the right amount of stubble that I can coast through the whole week with. Fortunately, I have a full beard that doesn't grow too quickly and I'm able to do this. After that, I spray my face with bactine, an antibacterial spray I use as an astringent to prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs.
What are your beard dos and don'ts?
What works for you, works for you! BUT, my personal preference for grooming beards is to clean up a little lower than the jawline. It drives me bananas when I see a perfectly manicured beard and then the gent smiles, or even chews food, and the beard line raises up a lot further than the jawline. So, when I trim mine, I open my mouth really wide to see how high my jawline goes and then use that as a guideline.
Has growing a full-on beard changed your sense of style? Do you dress differently when you have a full beard?
Oh yes! A beard is so masculine that it allows me to get away with feminine touches in my dress. Pinks, powder blues, earrings, all things that normally seem too feminine by some standards are now offset by a full face of scruff. It makes for layering denim and jackets and corduroy, a lot of fun. Women get makeup, high heels, and so many other things that men, by a lot of social standards, have to shy away from. Beards are our high heels and make-up!

What is your resolution for 2017?
Well, I'm not getting any younger, so I hope to start an online retail and lifestyle site that bridges masculine feminine and really focus on unisex lifestyle trends. And just to be an overall more responsible human being.
Tell us about your upcoming projects? What are you excited about...
I just started on the business plan for the above mentioned, I have a new apartment I'm working on getting together. It's a much much much smaller space than my last one so adjusting to that and finding the flow that works for me has proven challenging. But, I do love a challenge. Also, a product brand I work closely with is launching an addition to their line that is organically driven so I'm really looking forward to that. The brand is AG Hair and we just shot the campaign two months ago, so those images will be launching soon(!!)
One advice for boys trying to grow their beards?
Don't force something you're not comfortable with just because it's a trend. Find what works for you! You never know, you could lead the pack instead of assimilating.
    Time for some rapid fire!

If you are one those people who love to collect items simply because you love a particular toy or a fictional universe, you’ve met your match. I tend to collect sneakers, Star Wars toys and sometimes comic books. But this man has managed to amass a million-dollar Hot Wheels collection.

While most Indians queue up at banks and the ATM machines for some new cash after demonetisation, there are a few who are clearly not affected by the magnitude of the situation. Gali Janardhana Reddy’s family is surely one of them.
The mining tycoon and the former Karnataka minister is leaving no stone unturned to make his daughter Brahmini’s wedding one of a kind affair. He has whipped a whopping sum of Rs 500 crore on the wedding. The highlight of the pomp and show is the replica of Hampi, the ancient city, which he has built on 36 acres of land at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru for the wedding.
    © Twitter
Among the 30,000 guests estimated to come, it is rumoured that some of the biggest names of Bollywood will also be there in attendance. To take the whole affair a notch ahead, guests were sent out LCD invites as well.

He has also arranged for eight priests from the famous Tirupati Thirumala temple to be flown in for the wedding ceremony.

Janardhana Reddy, who has been under the hammer for a number of money laundering and illegal mining cases, represents the irony of the current situation. The growing chaos and the never-ending queues in front of banks and ATMs have made things problematic for people who desperately need cash. In times like these, people are coming up with ideas to help each other in every possible way. On one hand, where a group of Sikh men are serving tea to the tired people standing in long lines, a church in Kerala opened its donation box for people who don’t have cash.
    © Facebook
While some people are also blaming the banks for not having enough cash, let’s not forget that they are working really hard to help us get money and the Canara Bank in Bengaluru has literally gone all out to help its customers. They rolled out their mobile ATM bus so that people can take out new currency notes without much hassle instead of waiting for hours outside banks.
On Sunday, people in Bengaluru were highly surprised or should we say took a sigh of relief when they saw a blue bus, with Canara Bank’s logo on it that helped 800 customers withdraw nearly Rs 8 lakh cash.

Mr. MM Chiniwar, General Manager (Circle Office) at Canara bank, told Deccan Herald “I was taking a stroll in the evening on MG Road and found that most of the ATMs were running out of cash. So, I got our mobile ATM, which serves Bengaluru Rural customers, pressed into service.” He further added that by Tuesday or Wednesday, sufficient cash will reach banks and ATMs. Maybe now we can expect a reduction in the crazy rush of people.

The Centre has announced that those who exchange cash at bank branches would receive an indelible ink mark on their finger, to prevent repeated conversions. It also cautioned the public against believing social media messages on the demonetisation drive, saying many wrong messages are doing the rounds. The move has been announced as a measure to reduce large crowds at bank branches, that have led to hours-long waits for cash. Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das announced the move on Tuesday morning, and explained that this was in response to reports of people attempting to convert their black money to white by visiting banks multiple times.
    © Twitter
"The reason for long queues at banks and ATMs is that the same people keep coming again and again at different places. We have received reports that many people are trying to convert black money into white and they have organised groups of people and are sending them to exchange money," Das said at a news conference.
"To solve this problem, we have decided to use indelible ink marks, similar to elections, at cash counters... This will start today in major cities," he said. He repeated the government's plea to the public against panic and knee-jerk reactions. "The situation is improving day by day. We are sure it will ease out in the coming days. There is no reason to panic. There is enough stock of notes available in the system. Government is constantly monitoring the situation," Das said.
    © Twitter
Das also cautioned against believing messages on social media. "There are a lot of stories on social media, like reports of certain institutions going on strike. On zooming into the picture, it was found to be from 2015. There is no such thing (strikes), please don't believe it," Das said.

    — ANI (@ANI_news) November 15, 2016 It must be noted that the opposition is still up in arms regarding the decision taken by the Modi government. Many people have since argued that it is the weak and poor who are standing in the long queues and that the rich always find a way to make better use of their black money. This incident however proves that no matter if your son is the PM of India, you still have to go through the same process as others in order to help the nation fight the menace of corruption and black money.

Remember when Trump announced his candidacy for President; there was a quote by him from an interview in 1998 that was doing the rounds. Don’t remember? Let us refresh your minds:
“If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican. They are the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie and they’d still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific.”
However, according to this website, he never said it.
Now we’ve all seen the video where he clearly states his opinions about Republican voters, but fake news like this one from Snopes got enough attention to misinform Trump’s voters. It was a huge shock to the world when Donald Trump won the election and many believe fake news and misinformation like the said article attributed to his victory.
Pressure on Facebook has been growing ever since the problem of fake news was brought to light by their very own users and Facebook has been trying to tackle the problem ever since.
This unprecedented plague of misinformation and fake news has been one of the reasons why Facebook’s mission statement is not taking seriously anymore. Their failure to curb this nuisance is actually driving the world apart rather than connecting people. Especially in the last 18 months.
How Does Editorial on Facebook Work? Facebook’s current model is flawed. Publishers no longer pay attention to the ultimate truth in their articles. This lack of attention to the truth is less important even before an article is shared, liked or monetised. Their current model encourages click baiting and it even serves as a platform for misinformation to burgeon. The more articles we click on that are inclined with our views and resonate with our feelings, Facebook just feeds us even more similar posts. And many of them fake.
This loophole in their ‘newsfeed’ has divided the political narrative across the world. It happened in India, it happens with the United States. It’s as if there are two different versions of Facebook, one for the liberal reader and one for the conservative reader. Due to this ‘algorithm’, the world is getting divided further apart. And Trump’s victory is proof. What’s astonishing is that 38% of the posts that were shared by right-wing pages on Facebook were spreading misleading information. What we want to know is how in the world did Facebook allow that?

The second test between Australia and South Africa in Hobart ended early on the fourth day after the Australians suffered another batting collapse and bundled without a fight. Just 120 runs behind the South African total on the fourth day, a string of awkward dismissals especially those of Vogues and Ferguson opened the flood gates for SA.
Take a look at those dismissals which actually prove that the Australians have forgotten how to bat in home conditions.

And this is how the dismal fourth day unfolded for the home team.

Australia’s batting woes will continue unless there’s a course correction before the next test match which will be a day-night affair. More swing and seam is expected at Adelaide where the pink ball test will commence on 24th November.

The internet can never run out of bizarre news, can it? So, a Reddit user by the name of u/ugleee suspected his wife of cheating on him and what was the first thing that came to his mind? He thought of using a drone to spy on his wife. He has made a full video about it and claims to have caught his wife cheating. Well, if he thinks that getting in a car with someone else equals cheating, then this guy equals paranoid. The video with the actual footage is here. Small warning: keep the volume down because the guy loses it after a few seconds.

It was rumoured last month that WhatsApp was working on a beta for Android where it would include the support for video calling. Alas, the company has officially confirmed that they will be rolling out the latest feature in iOS, Android and Windows devices.
    © WhatsApp
WhatsApp is finally catching up with their rivals when it comes to video calling and they recently added the support for GIFs on iOS. WhatsApp is also testing out features that would be a rip off from Snapchat, which will let users share images, and videos on which they add stickers and draw. These images will then be available in the ‘Status’ tab, much like Snapchat’s ‘My Story’ feature.
WhatsApp has over a billion users across the world, although this move is very late but it is still a big deal for WhatsApp to accomplish. The video calling feature will be available in the latest update, which will be rolling out over the next few days.

You’ve been pounding on and on at the gym, doing the most effective cardio exercises you could think of. But after a point of time, you notice that your exercises aren’t really working as you had expected. What could be the reason behind this? Some experts believe that cardio makes you gain weight. While cardio may not directly result in weight gain, there are a few ways it could negatively affect your fat loss efforts. Here are certain conditions under which cardio can make you fatter as opposed to flatter.
    1. Excessive Cardio Intensifies Hunger You might have noticed that after a long cardio session, you badly crave for food. Doing too much cardio can intensify your hunger, which leads to increased food intake and eventually result in fat gain. You may not necessarily crave for fatty foods, but you generally eat more when you’re hungrier. This means your weight loss efforts wouldn’t really pay off as you had expected.
    2. Certain Diets Don’t Complement Certain Types Of Cardio Some people pile on their protein and carb intake just because they’ve started working out. This is a huge mistake especially if you’re doing only low to moderate intensity cardio. These exercises do not damage your muscles or deplete your energy stores so significantly. So instead of being utilized as fuel or helping you build muscles, your increased intake of proteins and carbs will pile on inside your body in the form of fat. This means it only works on increasing your weight. High-protein, high-carb diets are only meant for bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts whose focus isn’t geared towards weight loss but more on building muscle mass.
    © muscleandfitness
    3. Cardio Isn’t As Effective For Fat Loss Once You Adapt While aerobic-style cardio may significantly help beginners in losing weight, you won’t experience the same effect if you have been working out for some time. As you work out regularly, your body adapts to the exercises and learns how to utilize its energy and oxygen supply more efficiently. This means you’ll be burning fewer calories than someone who is new to the exercise. Simply put, cardio makes your body learn how to conserve energy to sustain longer workouts. Weight training does exactly the opposite.
    4. Cardio Make Fat Loss Even More Complicated If You Are Already Suffering From Chronic Stress People suffering from chronic stress often have elevated levels of cortisol in their bodies, already. When your cortisol level is constantly high, your cells develop a kind of insulin resistance and results in inflammation. This makes it difficult for the body to gain access to fat, which it needs to burn for energy. Over doing steady state cardio further increases the cortisol levels, which further signals the body to store fat.
    © Thinkstock
Additionally, high cortisol levels leave you susceptible to sugar cravings so as to replace the depleted neurotransmitter serotonin. This means you might constantly be feasting on high-sugar foods, making your cardio exercises irrelevant.
    Here’s The Solution
So you see that cardio isn’t the ideal solution for achieving your weight loss goals. Here are a few tips to help you lose weight more efficiently:
    · Even if you do include some cardio in your daily workout routine, make sure you avoid steady-state cardio. For effective weight loss, opt for high-intensity variations like circuit training, sprints, etc.
    © Thinkstock
    · Include some strength training into your daily workouts for an overall improvement in physique.
    · Combine exercising with a healthy diet and stress management techniques so as to balance everything.

A certain Sonam Gupta seems to have taken the internet by a storm (probably without even realizing it) and it's spiraling out of control. Not that we’re complaining. If you find her trending on social media, don’t be surprised. That’s the power of a broken heart. People are writing ‘Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai’ on Indian currency because that’s how we Indians deal with heartbreak. Whoever started this chain deserves a goddamn award because this is my current favourite thing on the internet.
It all started a few months ago, with this picture of a dirty, old ten rupee note that probably belonged to a jilted lover.
    © Facebook
It was way more interesting than ordinary life, so people kinda played along.
I hate you bewafa sonam pic.twitter.com/jnZIGXI3oW
    — Funny Deol (@Funny_Deol) January 4, 2016 Played along to the extent that Sonam Gupta was declared Bewafa by UNESCO.

There still exists a stratum of society that, repeatedly by their actions, puts humanity to shame. Acts so gruesome that they will damage you emotionally. A group of shameless Pakistani men recently did something that will make you rethink about your faith in humanity.
Here, take a look at this video. If this doesn’t hurt you to the core, it’s hard to say what will.

In Pakistan, minorities, be it religious or racial, aren’t only ignored but are particularly picked and tormented. The video above shows a man, named Jajja Butt, brutally whipping the life out of a helpless transgender. Lashing her with a belt on her rear, the man shows no mercy. The worse thing is that he’s not alone, he has company. The video went viral a couple of days back and rightfully so, the internet is doing everything possible to nab these men.
The story isn’t as much as you can see in the video though. This is just a small part of the hell that these men wreaked on the transgender. A brave trans woman who was present throughout the above episode came out with a video with details that will shock you to the core.

The woman in the video above clearly states that that Jajja Butt and his friends raped them, made them drink their urine and spat in their faces. This is not the first time the Pakistani trans community has raised their voice against such cruelty. Earlier this year, a known Pakistani trans activist was shot and a hospital in Peshawar refused to admit her because they were ‘confused which ward she should be kept in’. The woman lost her life. With all this power of the internet at our disposal, if we don’t help them now, we wouldn’t be able to help them ever.

While Modi’s demonetization move may be debatable to you and me, there’s no denying that it’s left the common man crippled. Whether this chaos is going to be followed by ‘achhe din’ or not, the current state of people surviving without cash, more so in areas like Kashmir that don’t have internet access, is a pressing issue. Internet banking is still a distant dream for a major part of our population. The queues outside ATMs aren’t moving any quicker and much to the whole nation’s dismay, it’s costing us lives.
While PM Modi requests his countrymen to bear with the inconvenience for a little longer, a church in Kerala is doing its bit for humanity.

    Facebook
Understanding and empathizing with the plight of the underprivileged who might not even have legitimate bank accounts to get their 500 and 1000 currency notes transferred to, the people who might not have the means to survive these ‘cashless; days, St Martin De Porres church in Ernakulam district of Kerala is reminding us that humanity comes above everything else.
On Sunday, the Church opened two of their donation boxes, so people in dire need of cash could meet their daily needs. "It is the church where people come and talk about their problems. Some of them did meet the priest and tell how they were finding it difficult to buy daily necessities. That's when the father discussed about the possibility of opening the collection box to the needy," Shelson Francis, Convenor, Church Committee Youth Wing said.

    Twitter
"There are around 200 families who come under this church. Most of them are people who may not have proper savings in bank accounts and those who do not know the workings of an ATM. Ever since the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes became illegal, they have been struggling to meet their daily needs," Jimmy Poochakkatt, the parish priest said.
The most heartwarming part is, the Church did so expecting absolutely nothing in return. “We did not keep track of who took what. But we were told the box mainly filled with Rs 10 and Rs 50 notes were of great help for them," Shelson Francis said.
It’s beautiful to see the people of this country helping each other out unconditionally even in these testing times when even the smallest currency could mean a life to someone.

Read on:
    Name: Gaurav Sawn
    Profession: Photographer
    (C) Gaurav Sawn
Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it? Any special beard stories:
I wasn’t able to grow a full beard till about the age of 25, it always ended up looking scattered and scanty. But, then I had an accident and stopped shaving for a month straight and it all evened out during that time. I trim my beard every couple of days and prefer a short/medium length.
What are your favourite beard products?
I don't really use any specific beard products but I shampoo, condition and oil my beard with my regular ayurvedic hair products from Khadi Natural, and they work great!
    (C) Gaurav Sawn
Does it Help or hurt your chances of getting laid. Are women (still) into beards?
Well, I'm married so I can't comment (laughs).
    One beard do's and don'ts?
Do — Let it grow out
Don’t — Trim or cut unnecessarily, always neaten the edges and use a beard comb (if necessary)
    (C) Gaurav Sawn
Has growing a full-on beard, changed your sense of style. Do you dress differently when you have a full beard?
Not really. For me, a beard goes with everything(!!)

If you've ever seen an action movie in the 90's, chances are you've come across a Jackie Chan film. The Hong Kong legend has been at it, grinding in the film industry for almost 5 decades. That's 50 years, guys! And, finally after such a long and storied career that saw him star in hits like Rush Hour, Shanghai West and the classic, Rumble in the Bronx, Hollywood has finally decided to honour the man with an Oscar.

Jackie Chan once caught a glimpse of the coveted award at fellow action star, Sylvester Stallone's home and fell in love with the little gold statuette. "I touched it, kissed it, smelled it. I believe it still has my fingerprints on it...Then I talked to myself, 'I really want one.' Finally, (Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs) called and I said, 'Are you sure?'"- He said.

He accepted the award with the grace and poise that was to be expected and he also thanked his home of Hong Kong for propelling him to stardom. He spoke at length about his career and hid this nugget to add- "I continue to make movies, jumping through windows, kicking and punching, breaking my bones."
He called receiving the award a dream and also talked about his family. He said, "My dad always said, 'Son, you get so many movie awards in the world, when are you going to get one of these?' Then I just look at my dad. 'Ha, ha, ha. Dad, I only make comedy action movies."

And, like only legends do, he also thanked the fan with a heartfelt speech. He said, "After 56 years in the film industry, making over 200 films, I've broken so many bones, finally this is mine. I want to thank you, Hong Kong, such an incredible city, my hometown, my hood, who make me. China, my country, I am proud to be Chinese. Thank you, Hollywood, for all of those years teaching me so many things, and also make me a little bit famous. I'm just honored to be here."

We will never forget his contribution to cinema.
