After a rather underwhelming start with Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, 'Koffee With Karan' Season 5 finally kicked off with the last episode featuring Akshay Kumar and Ms. FunnyBones Twinkle Khanna. She might have been a disaster as far as her acting career is concerned but here, on Karan Johar's couch, the woman was an absolute treat to watch! Let's just say, we haven't seen Karan Johar speechless so often in a single episode on his own show so far. In case you missed the episode, here are the best moments from the show. But seriously, go watch it ASAP, it's gold.
    1.     Twinkle Khanna, at her witty best, described the whole Levi's controversy surrounding her unbuttoning Akshay Kumar's denims during a fashion show and it had everyone rolling on the floor laughing.
    2.     Twinkle Khanna revealed why Karan Johar fell in love with her when she was young. In her own words, her testosterone was 11 which is almost a man's and she had a moustache back then. Yes, that's Twinkle Khanna for you.
    Star World
    3.     She wasn't just funny. She was also very, very earnest and endearing when she accepted that she knew she was a terrible actor and that the only reason why people still remember her film 'Mela' was because of her disastrous performance.
    4.     She also narrated an incident about making Karan Johar run away from boarding school as a kid and the story involved a 100 kg kid rolling down a hill and being held up for it later in the school assembly.
    Star World
    5.     Every time she made Karan Johar's sexual orientation obvious on the show, actually.
    6.     When she said Akshay Kumar has a few extra inches and the Khans don't and then asked Karan Johar to stop looking at his crotch. Absolute savage.
    Star World
    7.     When Karan Johar asked her who was her favorite Khan in Bollywood and she threw the question back at him after adding Fawad to the list of options.
    8.     And that was not all. She left Karan Johar stumped when she came up with her own set of questions to give him a taste of his own medicine and let's just say, Alia Bhatt will feel a lot better after watching that segment.

If you ever happen to read about the beautiful life story of Guru Nanak, you will be fascinated by the many tales and accounts of the saint. Unlike a lot of folklores and fables, there are many encounters of Sikh gurus which still bear living proof and can be viewed and studied, even today, since the religion is one of the most modern religions in the world. One such amazing story is attached to the magnificent gurudwara, called the ‘Pathar Sahib’, which is built on the Leh-Kargil road and is maintained by our brave Indian Army.

How Did This Incredible Gurdwara Come To Be?
Not many are aware of the fact that Guru Nanak is also an essential part of Buddhist history. He travelled through Tibet extensively and is until today, deeply regarded by Tibetian Buddhists as Guru Gompka Maharaj. Around the 1960’s, the Lamas in the region of Leh discovered a boulder which was covered in Buddhist flags. A bulldozer tried to move it, since the Leh –Nimu road was under construction and even after numerous attempts, the driver failed. That night he dreamt of a voice asking him not to move the stone. The following morning, he shared the dream with an Army officer who did not take it seriously, but ended up having the same dream.  The workers and a few officers visited the town near the area to find out more about these dreams. There, the locals spoke about the tale of Nanak Lama and the boulder. They were told that that the stone had an imprint of their Nanak Lama’s back, shoulders and his head.

    The Legend Behind The Pathar
It is believed that during his period of travel, between 1515 and 1518, Guru Nanak rested at the location of the gurdwara. Legend has it that a demon resided in this area and the locals who lived here were under constant terror. In order to help them, Guru Nanak decided to rest near the river bed and started offering sermons to the people, thus earning the name, ‘Nanak Lama’. The demon decided to kill the guru and thus pushed a large boulder (pathar) towards him while he was meditating. The stone hurtled downwards at an alarming speed but the moment it touched Guru Nank’s back, it stopped and melted, as if it was made of wax, carving the guru’s back into it. The demon was angered by this and pushed it with his foot, but even that was embedded in the stone.

The demon realised that the guru was indeed blessed and fell to his feet, begging for forgiveness. The ‘pathar’ has stayed there since then and the locals still worship it. The Indian Army found the boulder in 1965, during the construction of the highway, and everyone was captivated by it.
The ‘Pathar Sahib’, as we call it today
The gurudwara was largely built by and is still maintained by our glorious Indian army. One can find our army men practicing ‘sewa’ as a tradition there. Since the gurdwara is built on the highway, many trucks stop by, and everyone is served with ‘guru ka langar’ and hot tea in the evenings. Many devotees from all over the world come to see the magnificent stone, which still rests there, in all its glory.

It is absolutely heart-warming, seeing our Indian army continuing to honor the legacy of the great saint with great dignity.

There is no doubt that Donald Trump winning the election in the USA is nothing short of hilarious. Yes, he will be the 45th president and there is no surprise that many people are enraged with that thought. Trump's rhetoric and his policies are so extreme that many people are confused, frustrated, scared and even hurt. Many protested and others wanted to have a laugh.
Since Trump became the President-elect, a ton of Present Obama and Vice President Joe Biden popped up and it underlines the reality of Trump entering the White House. Joe Biden and Obama have a very friendly relationship and their bromance is ever so prevalent in these memes.

Google's new flagship phones the Pixel and Pixel XL are outstanding phones and they actually do a better job than the iPhone 7, most of the times. Especially when it comes to its camera, it's remarkable!
Adrian Ludwig, the head of security of everything Android at Google claimed that the new phones are as secure as any iPhone if not more. But that claim was challenged by a group of Chinese 'white hat' hackers and they managed to get under the Pixel's hood in less than 60 seconds.
Pwnfest is a hacking competition that is held every year and the hackers who for Qihoo 360, managed to hack the Google Pixel and won $120,000 in the process. They demonstrated an exploit, which can crack open the Android operating system and give full access to the phone, remotely. This also let the hackers access personal information such as contacts, phone calls, photos and messages.

Google is now working on a patch to counter this breach and it is said to go live very soon. The iPhone has been considered one the most secure phone and Tim Cook's stand to not allow any backdoor access for the FBI is a sign for tighter and tougher security and is definitely praiseworthy.
Android, however, is considered to be more vulnerable because of the many customisations that are available on the platform and the fact that its open source design facilitates higher chances of getting hacked.

Oozeundat, a techno music producer duo from Pune, comprises Roan Sable and Sidhant Naren. Started in 2011, Oozeundat has done a lot in the past five years. They began by taking over Pune local scene, performing gigs but the big break for them was getting a chance to play at Arjun Vagale’s acclaimed Re:Focus show in February 2013. They impressed Arjun thoroughly and even got signed on to his label ‘UnMute’.

The duo released their EP ‘Bitch To Quit’ featuring three songs in which they experimented with ambient sounds to create dark and obscure music. Oozeundat is known for their personal brand of upbeat techno, house and synth music.

They have opened for acclaimed artists such as Ambivalent, Anil Chawla, BLOT!, Guy J, Kohra and Spektre, and have also played alongside Iranian-American house producer Dubfire, Belgian techno DJ Marco Bailey and British breakbeat/house producer James Zabiela at Sunburn 2013, soon after performing at Go:Madras.
Oozeundat will be playing live at the Electric Daisy Carnival happening in Delhi on the 12th and 13th November.

We all read and fantasize about ghosts and at times some people even live to tell their ordeal of how horrible their experience was, but this is insane and f**king crazy. Even the experts dealing with the occult and paranormal activities would be scratching their heads wondering that how can a small bottle of salad dressing be ‘possessed’. Yes, you read it right; this woman from Wyoming alleged that the salad dressing she used to prepare a dish was ‘possessed’ and it attacked her.
Divel McLean was cooking food when the salad bottle started acting weird. “I heard pop, pop, pop. I looked up, it was possessed. It was going crazy. It was shooting up in the air, to the side,” McLean told Fox19. She further added, “It sounded like a firecracker going off in the house. Real loud.” Can this story be made up? We mean, what is the probability of this story being true and who is going to believe it? Well, maybe McLean got that hint too and that’s why she took pictures of the ‘evidence’ after the attack so that she can tell the people about her nightmare.
    © YouTube/KTWO News
What do you think guys, was the bottle really possessed? If that’s the case, then it seems even the ghost was tired of the same old white attire or shadowy avatar, that’s why it chose a salad dressing to spice things up. But, unfortunately, that’s not the case. Apparently, the woman later found out that the company producing the salad dressing, Dorothy Lynch, had issued a statement where it said their product has bacteria which causes the dressing to bubble up and sometimes even spew out in foam. They even recalled that product. So that is your ghost guys. Whoa, we are now ghostbusters too.
    © YouTube/KTWO News
What’s worse is that the bottle that cost around $3 (Rs. 200 approx.) incurred her losses worth nearly $2500 (that costs close to Rs. 1.5 lakh) which includes the carpet, the walls, a computer and her dress. What did you ever do so wrong woman that life chose to mess with you so bad?

Medical problems don’t come with an announcement, and in times like these, facing a financial crunch is the last thing anyone would ever want. However, with this sudden demonetization, people are having hard time gathering cash for treatment. Understanding their situation, the Vinayka Hospital and Research Centre in Ranchi, announced that they will treat the patients free of cost from November 10 to November 13.
Amid panic post the scrapping of Rs 500/1000 notes, a hospital in Ranchi is providing free treatment and healthcare facilities to patients pic.twitter.com/H14qIzyTr0
    — ANI (@ANI_news) 12 November 2016
In fact, supporting our PM Modi’s decision Dr. Chandan Kumar Yadav, CMO of the hospital said, “This will go on till November 13, till the country’s economy normalizes a little and till people do not get Rs. 2000 or Rs. 4000.”
I think PM Modi has taken a bold step. So, facilities are free here from 10 Nov-13 Nov to ensure hassle free treatment: Doctor,Chandan Kumar pic.twitter.com/StLPJB7Z2u
    — ANI (@ANI_news) 12 November 2016
“I have even put up notices in nearby areas that Dr. Chandan Kumar and Vinayka hospital will provide everything free from patients’ treatment, operation, surgery, ICU to anything. Be it medicines, tests, ECG, X-Ray, we are doing it free of cost,” he further added.
It’s good to see that on one hand where some chemists and hospitals are refusing to take the old notes, this Ranchi hospital is treating its patients for free if they don’t have cash on them. Perhaps the doctors here understand the importance of life and how it’s much more valuable in comparison to the 500 and 1000 rupee notes that were discontinued.

While the whole country is going berserk over demonetization and people are standing in long queues in front of the banks to get their old notes changed, there is one community who is helping all those people selflessly. As all these people waited for their turn, a group of Sikh men came as a respite for them all by serving them hot cups of tea. In times like these even a small gesture can work wonders.

These images were posted by the Facebook page Awesome Things in India. Did anyone ask them to do it? No. Well, now let’s ask this question, how many of us would do it? Time and again the Sikh community has worked towards the welfare of the society and such acts restore our faith in humanity.

Movember (or No Shave November) is a movement that originated in 2004, and is all about growing out one’s facial hair to raise awareness about health issues no one talks about—prostate cancer being one of them! It's essentially about celebrating life (and longevity) and how better to do it than being lazy, growing out your beard and looking good while doing so. Because why not?

We spoke to 30 men—who seem to have mastered the art of grooming a good mug-rug—on how it's actually done. Read on...

It's November—where are you right now, how are you feeling, what are you eating, drinking and listening to?
I'm feeling pretty awesome, because it’s the start of the Holiday season (here in new York). And I’m especially excited about Thanksgiving, because I love to cook and it's a legit day to display your cooking skills... (laughs)

Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it? Any special beard stories?
I belong to the Sikh religion, so beards are a part of our identity. But unfortunately,  like many others, I shaved myself clean when I was 18 years old. Then last year I got married and as per our religion I have to wear a turban for the ceremony—so naturally I grew back my beard and thankfully never shaved it off! I think it looks awesome now!

Do you use products? If so, what are your favourite beard products?
I do like to use Olive oil once a week to nourish and I have a beard balm that I use daily.

    © Bhavaman Singh
How do you maintain your beard? Tell us your daily routine.
    I follow a simple routine:

    1) Always wash your beard with organic shampoo

    2) Clean up the edges

    3) Never forget to comb it

    4) Apply beard balm
    © Bhavaman Singh
What are your beard dos and don'ts?
According to me: Do not do a goatee. A full beard is the way to go.

Has growing a full-on beard changed your sense of style? Do you dress differently when you have a full beard?
I would associate growing a beard (for men), with wearing high heels (for women). It gives you a sense of confidence. You start to feel good. A beard definitely helps to define the man in you.

What is your resolution for 2017?
    One word, GYM(!!)
    © Bhavaman Singh
Tell us about your upcoming projects? What are you excited about...
Me and wife have a YouTube channel—called Bhav and Sim Vlogs—where we passionately talk about food, travel and life.

One advice for boys trying to grow their beards?
If you are growing your beard for the first time, don’t worry, it can always be shaved off. But if you don't give (your beard) a chance, you won't able to find out how beard can make a difference. Plus it’s #NoShaveNovember so there’s no better excuse to do so!

Well, its been like 34 days now that I haven't shaved and I don't plan to either—because Movember is here and I just love the vibe of this month. Having said that, I’m personally not too fond of shaving either, so it’s a win-win situation.
Do you use products? If so, what are your favorite beard products.
I get asked this a lot. Everyone really want to know if using products will grow them a beard or not? And the answer is no oil or tablets can help you grow a beard. What it can do is help nourish it. I personally use 'Citrus Bay' by 'The Beard Baron'. It has a citrus-y smell which I love.

How do you maintain your beard. Tell us your daily routine?
I tend to wash my face at least twice a day because it keeps my skin clean, which eventually leads to good beard growth. The tools I often use include a beard comb, a pair of small scissors and a beard brush. I brush my beard right after I wash my face wash and shower.

What are your beard do's and don'ts?
Do: Use a trimmer once in every 15 days to give your beard a good, clean shape so it grows how you want it to.
Don't : Never leave food in your beard (laughs). I know it can get hard to eat with a full grown beard, but you should always clean it up post a messy meal.

We’re all super-hyped about the weekend that lies right ahead of us. Our Facebook statuses are screaming out loud about who all are going to EDC (read: living a happening life) and who aren’t (read: living like the average Joe). If you’re going, you’re part of the cool crowd. But, what do you really know about EDC? Besides he lineup, the timings and that it’s going to be two days of fun, music and showing off, and the fact that for most of us, it’s a mini-road trip into no man’s land—Buddh International Circuit—what do you really know?
    © Electric Daisy Carnival NY
Let’s start with a simple one:
Did you know that the full form of EDC is the Electric Daisy Carnival?
Did you know that EDC started out as an underground series of rave parties that was started by one particular DJ Steve Kool-Aid, whose real name is Stephen Enos? The first ever rave of this kind was held back in the 1990s in an open field in Los Angeles California. After the success of the first leg, in 1997, the carnival came back at Shrine Expo Hall. The news and popularity of the party began to spread and soon Insomniac picked it up. They officially called it the Electric Daisy Carnival to commemorate the original concept of the rave.
    © Insomniac
The world-wide music event that it is today, EDC started out merely as a warehouse party with a limited guestlist. If you wanted in, you needed the hand-outs and automated messages to come to you from the insiders of the organising committee. EDC became one of the most popular underground rave parties during the early to mid 90s and was easily one of the best and earliest hippie music festivals dedicated to electronic music. Yes, that’s how long electronic music has really been around, Paduwan.
    © Insomniac
Pasquale Rotella, co-founder of Insomniac, picked up where DJ Steve Kool-Aid had left it off—converting it into a worldwide phenomenon. That’s when EDC transformed from an underground rave to a full-fledged multi-million dollar music event. Ever since its inception and subsequent transformation, the artists who performed at EDC were charged not by the crowds and the prices or the exposure but by a common theme of uniting every soul through the best electronic music in the world. It was one of the premier music festivals outside of Europe that established a strong foothold in the circuit and even came to be known as the American Ibiza.
    © Insomniac
And what started as a one-day party, soon became a three-day musical experience that was based on peace, love, unity and tranquility, through music; just like a daisy carnival… only electrically charged.

You don’t need tons of money or influence to help the society, sometimes a noble heart and selfless attitude is all it takes to make a difference and Tejinder Pal Singh is living proof. Singh is the founder of ‘Food Van’, an organization that serves free food to the homeless and the needy people on the last day of every month. Singh is not a millionaire or a businessman, he drives a taxi for a living, yet every month he organizes a feast for all those people, from his own pocket.
Recognizing his efforts, Singh will be honoured as the 2017 Northern Territory Local Hero as a part of ‘Australian of the Year’ award on January 25, for feeding the homeless people and for his services to the Sikh community. In fact, he even got great support from Michael Gunner, Northern Territory’s chief minister.
    © Twitter
In 2006, Singh came from India and started driving a taxi. His journey was far from being rosy, yet he never lost hope and worked towards the betterment of the society. He was subjected to racial abuse by a passenger in his taxi, but his reply left many a people stunned and even acted as a catalyst in bringing a change in people’s behaviour towards him and his community. He didn’t lose his cool and explained that it’s their religious faith that requires them to cover their heads with turban and why turbaned Sikhs are ‘as much a creation of god as any other human being.’ Truly, well said!

    — AusoftheYearAwards (@ausoftheyear) November 2, 2016 Earlier, in the year 2015, he was honoured as ‘Australian of the Day’ for feeding the homeless. While, there are some people fighting over religion, here is one man who is restoring our faith in both religion and humanity. But, what inspires him to work so selflessly? He believes, “My religion says 10% of my income should go towards helping those in need and those who need to eat. It does not matter what religion they belong to or what country them come from.”
We truly salute your attitude Mr. Singh and feel that you deserve every bit of the respect people have for you. If only we could think like him, the world would definitely become a better place for everyone irrespective of their nationality or religion.

Pollution levels in the capital city have never been this high and the tribunals, though late, are finally taking notice of it.
The Supreme Court of India yesterday asked the government and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) if they want Delhiites to continue suffering.
Chief Justice T.S. Thakur yesterday asked the centre about its measures to curb the pollution situation in Delhi. It is to be noted that there are just three air control rooms in Delhi at Dwarka, Dilshad Garden and Shadipur Depot, which are clearly not sufficient in the given situation.

The Supreme Court has asked centre to report back with an urgent disaster management plan in order to deal with the current environment crisis.
With the given situation that the capital is in these days, it is high time that the government and Judiciary come together to take some action.

  23. ADMIN
I’m excited about this weekend, more than most weekends before. It’s for the simple reason that for the first time ever, I get to attend one of the most sought after music festivals in the world. I’m talking about the Electric Daisy Carnival. And the icing on the cake is that it’s happening on home ground—New Delhi, India. It really doesn’t get better than this for someone who has lived their lives through some of the headlining artists set to perform at EDC India 2016.
So without much further ado, the following are the artists I’m looking forward to at EDC this weekend and you should read why.
    1. Ferry Corsten © DJ Mag
This tops my list. I heard Ferry Corsten back in the early 2000s, for the first time ever. It was when I really came of age in Trance music and he was one of the first artists I ever listened to. That’s mostly my reason for being super excited about him. But more than that, it’s the flavour of the music he creates that I am excited about; especially his earlier stuff. For instance, you should listen to his Trance Nation days. In his early days, the early 2000s, he was popular under a bunch of aliases—System, Moonmen and Gouryella. And EDC happens to be Corstens signature playing fields when it comes to music festivals, aside from Tomorrowland. He was ranked number 5 in DJ Mag in 2004 and he has remained a top in the league for extraordinary trance music producers.
    2. Markus Schulz © Las Vegas Weekly
You know him because of his recent popularity in the world of EDM; courtesy of tracks like Destiny, Nothing Without Me and Perception. What you need to hear from him is Love Me Like You Never Did, Love Rain Down, First Time, I Am, Do You Dream and Rotunda. Also, he and Ferry Corsten have done quite a few interesting collaborations together. They even started a new EDM group called New World Punx. So, I’m secretly hoping they do a back-to-back at EDC this weekend, too.
    3. Alesso © Rolling Stone US
Alesso is easily one of the most popular and easily recognizable faces in the dance music scene, globally. I’m betting his set will have a thriving audience grooving incessantly. But, forget his more recent, commercial stuff. Alessandro Lindblad is always going to be remembered fondly as one of the trio of Swedish House Mafia. Post that Alesso did some great collaborations with artists like Tove Lo, Calvin Harris and Usher, to name a few. And that’s how he became the better known producer he is today. I’m hoping he gives us some great nostalgic vibes back from his SHM days… maybe do the classic ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ remix for fans (me)? I also expect him to play Heroes which is easily one of his fan’s favourite chart-topping numbers. Do me a favour and go all Alesso on YouTube right now.
    4. Steve Aoki © Gazette Review
There is so much to Aoki that you might not know. For instance, his full name is Steven Hiroyuki Aoki. His father is a renowned wrestler who founded the popular restaurant chain Benihana. That’s right! Aoki is more than the guy with the straight long hair, colourful vests and riotous pants. He’s the guy behind some of the most cult electro house mixes and has been awarded for Best Set and Album of the Year. I can give you in writing he’s going to have people jumping and pumping with his crazy beats.
    5. Afrojack © Sunburn
He’s our very own homeboy, now. The amount of times we’ve had him in India, turning out the best of his music and getting the crowd raving is quite unparalleled for most international dance music producers. I’m hoping he plays some of his newer stuff this time around and maybe some of his really older stuff… Take Over Control, anybody? I’m looking forward to it that way. It’s like saying ‘Hey’ to an old friend, or something. It will be fun.
    6. Vini Vici © Beatport
They’ve been around and about for a while now but the popularity for Aviram Saharai and Matan Kadosh came with their latest project, Vini Vici a psychedelic trance act with progressive touches. In a short period of time, the duo has been featured on and alongside Beatport, Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance, and Aly and Fila amongst other renowned dance musicians. They’ve been around in the psytrance spectrum for over 13 years now and were earlier known as Sesto Sento, Gataka and Ferbi Boys.
    7. B.R.E.E.D © BREED Facebook
The music duo based out of Los Angeles consists of Ritesh D’Souza, a.k.a., B.R.E.E.D Boy and Tara Mae, a.k.a., B.R.E.E.D Girl. They bring together the best of music and high fashion with their sounds and get-ups They started out in India and today are some of the headliners along acts like Yellow Claw at festivals like Coachella, Sunburn and VH1 Supersonic. If you’ve never heard or watched them perform, EDC is the best place to see them this weekend—the playing field is big and so are their tunes.
    8. Pearl © Nilay Shah
Pearl has been around for as early as the onset of EDM in India. She was one of the women pioneers in the field at the time and it’s safe to say she still remains a popular favourite for the hardcore, legit listeners. She is one of the co-founders of Submerge, the name and brand that has brought EDM in its true form to the country, along with some of the most celebrated artists in the arena. With so much experience, exposure and work in the music field, Pearl knows how to turn music into a trend while remaining uncompromised to the essence of her music style. Pearl was invited to play a set alongside John 00 Fleming to celebrate ten years of the J00F radio show. A lot of what we have today in India, to call EDM can be owed to this one woman and who better than her to shake things up at EDC?!
    9. Oozeundat © The Clique Photography
The Pune-based electronic duo, Roan Sable and Sidhant Naren, took their love for underground electronic dance music and turned it into a wave of the best homegrown techno music we could have imagined. They formed back in 2011 and in 2013, opened for fellow contemporary Arjun Vagale’s widely acclaimed show, Re:Focus, in February. Ever since there has been no looking back for the homeboys as they went on to play alongside Ambivalent, BLOT! , Kohra and Spektre amongst others. EDC is by far one of the biggest platforms that have entered the country and these two will only be setting the bar higher than ever.
    10. SHFT © SHFT Facebook
If you’ve been in Delhi long enough you know who Vipul Angirish is. And on the off chance that you don’t, here’s what you need to know. Vipul goes by the name, SHFT, pronounced like ‘shift’. The electronic musician has been on the scene since 2008 and has garnered a name for his club-friendly sounds combined with hypnotic elements that make any one present want to groove. Don’t believe me? It’s a good thing you’ll see him at EDC then.

Have you ever wondered how it looks up there in the skies? You can never know the feeling really. Your airplane window can’t do justice to the incredible beauty that is out there, thousands of miles above earth.  Christiaan van Heijst, a 747 Dutch pilot, has captured the sight of heavens above. Shooting with a Nikon D800, Heijst has taken breathtaking pictures from his cockpit and believe you me, the sight is very different from what we see from our plane windows. Take a look yourself!

    Beneath the clouds
Flying somewhere between Beijing and Shanghai, we encountered a very active weatherfront with beautiful and very active thunderstorms. The cloud here seen on our left started to appear on our weather radar only a few minutes before and started to show off an amazing display of lightning that grew ever more intense. When we got closer, we saw that the cloud was going to burst through our flight path and we had to deviate up to 10km to avoid flying into this cell. Growing with a speed of up to 5000/6000ft per minute (1,5-2km per minute) straight up into the air, this was certainly a hazard to our airplane if we didnt fly around her.  The beauty of nightflights in Asia this time of the year. #lightning #storm #weather #cb #thunder #cloud #clouds #cloudporn #nature #flying #flight #instaweather #instagramaviation #instamood #instacool #aviation #avgeek #jpcvanheijst #nikon #d800 #nightflight #night #flight #china

    Flying into the sun
Totally unexpected one of my very best friends since flight-school that joined Cargolux last year appears from the sunrise ahead of us somewhere over Northern Siberia. We pass each other 1000ft/300m from each other and when I hear his voice over the radio, we tune in the international 'chat' frequency 123.45 and catch up with for a few minutes in Dutch. An unexpected encounter over one of the most desolate landscapes in the world, but it makes me smile deeply and this little handshake with a few warm words reminds me of how small the world actually is.  #b747 #boeing #boeinglovers #747 #contrail #sunrise #cloudporn #orange #friends #avgeek #aviation #flight #flying #pilotview #planeporn #pilotlifestyle #instaaviation #instagramaviation #nikon #natgeo #d800 #jpcvanheijst
