Earlier, it was the controversy surrounding Kanhaiya Kumar and now that a student has gone missing, things have not been good at all for the students and the management of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University. Najeeb Ahmad, a Biotechnology student went missing last month and no one knows what exactly happened. However, some students have alleged that his disappearance is linked to the brawl at his hostel, with the activists of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

On October 14, Fatima Ahmad got a frantic call from her son before he disappeared. Since then, she has been protesting in Delhi seeking justice from the authorities who failed to trace her missing son. In fact, the Delhi police haven’t handled the situation too well either, it is being said that the cops have manhandled and even detained the students and Najeeb’s mother who were protesting for their missing colleague and son. The pictures of police dragging Najeeb’s mother has been flooding the social media and is further aggravating the anger that is building up in the protesting students and the general public.

However, the Delhi police have denied manhandling anyone. According to the officials, some protestors were removed and taken to the police station, but were later sent back to their respective places. It was further said, that despite implementation of Section 144 near the India Gate area, people were gathering in groups and were not cooperating with the police when persuaded against the protest.
While visiting the JNU campus during a protest, Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, addressed the students saying, “Let’s sit on a protest at the India Gate”. He even went to the police station after Najeeb’s mother was detained.
Reached Mayapuri police stn. Police saying she has been sent home in a police van. Will wait here till she reaches home
    — Arvind Kejriwal (@ArvindKejriwal) 6 November 2016 Kejriwal further added that he has met President Pranab Mukherjee regarding Najeeb and the President has assured of seeking a report from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Kejriwal reportedly said that the police did not take any action because of “political pressure”.
Met Hon'ble Prez to seek his intervention on missing JNU student Najeeb. He assured of all support n that he will seek report from MHA n JNU
    — Arvind Kejriwal (@ArvindKejriwal) 6 November 2016 The students are accusing the University authorities of not being able to find Najeeb. Some of the protesting students even kept the Vice-Chancellor and other officials confined the whole night, in the campus’ administrative block, asking them to trace Najeeb. Reportedly, a reward of Rs. 2 lakh has been announced for any information on Najeeb and the police have even commenced the largest manhunt in Delhi with nearly 450 personnel deployed in this task.

The world is divided into Hilarists and Trumpsters. I came up with those two terms all by myself. And Election Day is as close as it’s ever going to get. Some of us are praying with all our hearts that Clinton gets the oval. Others are rooting for Trump as President. I, as an individual, shudder to even think what will happen if Trump becomes President. There are a lot of unanswered questions, unturned stones and vague responses that need more deciphering when it comes to Trump and his policies.
Will it be like Darth Vader taking control in Star Wars; only worse, because this one will be real, and not even half as cool as Star Wars? No Jedis to save us and no Yoda to impart wisdom.
Here’s all the questions that are in my head now that Trump might just win the oval (I sure do hope not).
    1. The Value of The Dollar  The value of the American dollar will fall, undoubtedly. No this isn’t a prediction; this is just very basic. It fell when Obama came to power, too and it will fall when Trump comes to power, as well. The only difference will be the period of the fall in value and how will it spiral and determine the stock for the rest of the world.
    © Reuters
    2. The Issue of Immigrants  To build an entire “beautiful wall” along the Mexican border will be a little too farfetched even for Trump. His cabinet won’t let him… or so I’m hoping. But, nevertheless the refugee problem is something worth thinking over if Trump wins Oval. Will there be an uprising? Will there be internal conflict, or will the whole anti-immigrant sentiment be only just as pronounced?
    3. The Anti-Islamic Sentiment  Trump has made it quite clear that for him, all things Muslim are against American interest. He seems to think that the ISIS issue is more of an issue with the entire community. This makes one thing very questionable—the sentiment towards Islam in America. Will it change and if so, then, to what extent and in what direction? Do we see a repeat of violence and atrocities against Muslims, just like we did post 9/11?
    © Reuters
    4. The Terrorist Issue  Anti-Islamic sentiment will give rise to terrorist groups putting the US on the front burner, yet again. And while the American defense systems are high and almost impenetrable to a large extent, infiltration has never been a problem for the ISIS, or any other terrorist group for that matter. This can start a sort of chain reaction that will just swing between internal religious sentiments that might affect external terrorist reactions.
    5. Planned Parenthood  Trump has been very vocal about his opinion on defunding the Planned Parenthood segment, even though he agrees that it is imperative to keep breast and cervical cancer checks in place. This means women will no longer have a say in whether or not they should keep their unborn child or not. This is a decision that should be left to the individuals involved in reproduction; not the government.
    © Reuters
    6. Gun Control  America has a gun problem. Over the past few years, we’ve seen this problem magnify in potential. Will Trump curb that, or just not do anything about that at all?
    7. The Extent of Freedoms  Trump signifies a break from a status quo government that idolizes an absolute government. The masses are looking for change. But what the masses are not thinking about is the extent to which freedoms may NOT be curtailed. How liberal will Trump’s rule be and how extreme can it get?
    © Reuters
    8. Foreign Affairs  What happens to America’s relationship with the rest of the world? What will happen to the trade relations with countries like India and China where a major chunk of employment comes in from American conglomerates outsourcing capital and labour?
    9. The American Sense of Inclusion  Trump’s rules and policies will highlight one very important area of America—the sense of inclusion. I don’t just mean in terms of religion, race or culture. I also talk about gender, sexual orientation and work privileges. Will he or won’t he bring to the fore an absolute white supremacy that will be the deciding factor for any and everything?
    © Reuters
    10. The Cabinet of Ministers  Who Trump chooses as his cabinet of ministers will also be a major deciding factor on how much America will change, remain the same, or turn over completely. Will they hold Trump on a tight leash, preventing him from making some of the drastic decisions he seems to want to make at press meets, or will they let him pass the bills and legislations he deems fit?
It’s going to be like choosing between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. But how devilish will the Devil be and how deep will the blue sea be? And which one is the lesser of two evils?

Every year, the festival of lights awakens cracker bursting idiots who are hellbent on choking the life out of everybody. This year, they must be proud. Because of their sheer idiotic hard work, New Delhi is presently the most polluted city in the world, with literally fatal air contamination levels.
    © YouTube
The situation in some parts of the city is so bad that the levels are a belligerent five times to those considered unhealthy by the US Environmental Protection Agency. The current levels sit at 999, which is WAY ahead of the pollution levels in the world’s biggest metropolitan cities. Even Beijing, which was all up in the news last year for its pollution levels at a very, very pleasant 30. If you didn’t know, emergency measures are being taken currently with 5,000 schools shut and major constructions halted. Delhi Government is also planning an artificial rain (shower) in an attempt to settle particulate matter in the air.

Pollution masks are becoming way more common in the city than we thought they’d ever be. No matter how hard we try to keep people away from crackers, every Diwali millions of dumb nuts make the city unlivable.

When Google took charge and designed their own phone, everyone knew something special was about to happen. You know when a company dedicates time and hard work to design a phone; it is destined to be one of the best phones money can buy.  The Pixel and The Pixel XL are phones that are extremely well-built and have extremely fast performance. It’s got an excellent camera, a vibrant screen and an operating system that feels refreshing. The only problem is that these are phones aren’t water resistant which makes it one of the things Google can improve on.

These phones are expensive, the same price as an iPhone. In India, they start at INR 57,000 and can go up to INR 76,000. That basically means that Google is positioning the phone no different than any other flagship phone. It offers a great camera and fidelity of an iPhone and it really is the first Android phone that has put the ball in Apple’s court after we saw what the phone is capable of.

Google’s phone is available in three colours. You can buy it in black, blue or silver. It also has two storage options i.e. 32 or 128 GB and it works great with a Reliance Jio VOLTE SIM card. I’ve been attending a few weddings and going on trips and the phone’s impressive camera gave me some of the best shots a phone can deliver, especially in low-light environments.
    Google is my assistant now
Google’s assistant is probably the key feature on the phone, which works well, but I wished it sounded more pleasing to the ear. It’s simple, you either press on the home button or you say “Ok Google” and ask away anything. You can even play games, for example, saying “I’m Feeling Lucky” will make the assistant play the classic TV game as you have a conversation with her. It will translate, calculate currency, guide you on trips and even research things for you.  Hell, it knew where I was and what I was doing and even advised me to stay indoors after Diwali since Delhi was engulfed with smoke and pollution.

The Assistant works hand-in-hand with Google’s deep knowledge about you which makes it the best voice assistant yet. Its speech-to-text recognition is on point and very accurate, even with my thick Indian accent. In fact, while using the Assistant, it made me rely on it so much that I don’t even open apps anymore. I ask Assistant to do it for me. It makes everything faster and easier, which in my opinion deserves full marks.
Sorry iPhone, Google Pixel Has The Best Camera Now
After taking numerous photos with the 12-megapixel camera and countless selfies from the 8-megapixel camera (that I’m not proud of), we can easily come to the conclusion that is one the best cameras we have tested. Of course, the XL does not have the zoom or soft-focus capabilities like the iPhone 7 Plus, but it still delivers the same colours, sharpness and dynamic range as the latest iPhones. Of course, every picture you take is automatically backed up on Google Photos and since it’s the Google Pixel, you have unlimited free storage.

The way Google’s Pixel makes your pictures look better is that it subtly enhances like every other Android phone. It makes your pictures look more vibrant and brighter.  I took a picture with one little lamp in a very dimly lit room and it gave me this:

This just proves that the Pixel reproduces a picture that is nicer than you would expect. In fact, most of the time when I take a picture with the Pixel, I don’t need to use any filters on Instagram.

Design and Specs  When you first show the phone to anyone, their first reaction is ‘It looks like an iPhone!’. Well, it kind of does and I am not bothered by it. Not even one bit. It feels amazing to hold the phones and the aluminum body makes it very easy to grip. It is sharper and easier to hold as compared to the rounded iPhone 7.

The phone has a very big fingerprint reader on the back. It sits on top of a glass panel and takes up a lot of space. This makes it easy to place my index finger to easily unlock the phone but sometimes it can be a little annoying as I accidentally unlocked the phone on numerous occasions, especially when I took it out of the pocket.
However, the only drawback we could conclude from the design aspect is that it’s not waterproof. In fact, even the iPhone is finally water-resistant.

The specs on this phone are at par with any flagship phone and it justifies the price. The Pixel has a 1080p screen whereas the Pixel XL has a better display since its 5.5-inch and has a 2560X1440 resolution. The battery on the Pixel XL lasted at least 1.5 days, which included excessive use of Google Maps, Google Assistant translations and Diwali gift searching. And, I still have around 10 percent left at the end of the second day. The Pixel, on the other hand, lasts an entire day with similar usage but it can last longer depending on your data usage. Apart from these key differences, both phones are identical.

    The Final Verdict
You know when a phone convinces you to switch permanently to a new device; you know it’s for real. I have actually decided to move from the iPhone to the Pixel simply because I love it so much. I will not be available on iMessage and probably more inclined to be on Hangouts or Allo. The camera is magnificent and it has the potential to become one of the most advanced phones in the coming years thanks to Google Assistant. Also, this phone doesn’t explode.

After a tiring day, when you come home, you are either greeted to a smile or a hug from your partner, but this penguin was welcomed by the sight of his wife cheating on him with someone else! Wait a minute, aren’t penguins majorly monogamous? Or did you think penguins were monogamous!
This video was tweeted by The National Geographic Channel and like any other animal documentary, it starts off on a happy note with penguins cheerfully moving around, but little did they know that things would soon turn bloody. When this penguin saw his wife cheating on him, he clearly flipped out and started attacking the ‘home-wrecker’. His strategy was simple, battle it out with the other penguin and win back his girl, but sadly his cheating wife still chose the other penguin. Despite asking her twice, she still did not go back to him. Damn…we feel you bro, poor chap fought for nothing! What else did the little penguin have to do?
A fight breaks out when a husband comes home and finds his wife with another penguin. pic.twitter.com/9ejYGcJ5TJ
    — Nat Geo Channel (@NatGeoChannel) 4 November 2016
While the deadly battle took place between the husband and the home-wrecker, it’s actually the narrator that steals the show. Seriously, what a choice of words, huh? At one point, we actually felt that it wasn’t a National Geographic Video but a Crime Patrol episode where the anchor is narrating the scene. “The wife has no time for losers,” the narrator said when the husband lost the battle. God, couldn’t you be a little sympathetic towards the poor penguin husband? Although the fight ended up with both the penguins wounded and covered in blood, the narration in the background is what makes it harder for us to not laugh at the situation. Clearly, watching the penguins fight, Twitter couldn’t control itself and did what it’s best at, trolling like a boss.
This is how the homewrecker looked at the husband penguin when the fight was over ?? pic.twitter.com/ME8qqQZtII
    — Neo ? (@flexxini_B) November 5, 2016
    We have the same question!
How does a penguin have a husband and a side dude and you are still single?
    — ➕ (@DoyeAlba) November 5, 2016
He should have at least taken his clothes, right?
Nah im really dying at how the female penguin moved her new man in and didn't even let her husband grab his clothes.
    — Cardi B. Wells (@Pinky_Balboa) November 4, 2016
Well, there’s another side to the story that most of us didn’t know, everyone criticizing the cheating wife so she couldn’t control herself and took to Twitter (not really) and this is what she has to say in her defense.
Cut the long story short, my husband kept cheating and coming home late at night and this dude was always there for me when I was cold
    — Wife Penguin (@wifepenguin) November 5, 2016
Does that sound legit? Maybe the husband penguin should share his views on Twitter now.

Delhi is choking right now and the air pollution levels are refusing to go down. While air masks have become a common sight on the road, there’s no respite from the deathly smog in the air. Gurpurab falls on 14 November this year and every year, the day sees firecrackers being burst as a mark of celebration, just like Diwali. While many of us sit in horror thinking of what's happening to Delhi’s air, the city’s Gurudwara Committee has come out as the voice of sanity and relief. It has asked Sikhs not to burst crackers this year.
    © BCCL
"We have decided not to burn any firecrackers this year on Gurpurab which is celebrated by the Sikh community like Diwali. The decision of DSGMC will be conveyed to all 700 Singh Sabhas who will spread the message to all Gurdwaras in Delhi and hence the community associated with those Gurdwaras will also become aware of the decision. The idea is to spread awareness about the need to focus on environment-friendly ways to celebrate a festival," DSGMC president Manjeet Singh GK told TOI.
    © BCCL
Emphasizing the fact that the committee wasn’t imposing a ban on anyone, Mr Singh said that the committee’s decision, though not a ban, will positively influence the community. "We also plan to conduct awareness through marches led by school children to appeal to people to join the fight against pollution," GK said. The committee will also be handing out masks on the day of Gurupurab.
    Respect!

The track was released on Tiësto’s Black Hole Recordings and gained immense popularity due to multiple plays on ASOT shows by Armin Van Buuren.

Their recent European tour was one of the most extensive international tours by any Indian artist ever.

An Albanian man by the name of Dreton Selmani, from the eastern Kosovo town of Gjilan, always dreamed of owning an amazing set of wheels but he didn’t have the money to buy it. Turns out that he did have the brains and tenacity to build it on his own!
    © Twitter
He had his mind set on owning a ‘Lamborghini’. So, what this guy did was buy a second hand Mitsubishi Eclipse and essentially changed all the essential working parts. He also added the engine of a 3.0 litre Mitsubishi Galant under the hood to give it some real power. His hard work and determination has surely paid off as the car looks totally custom made and will definitely wow anyone that happens to lay their eyes on it. Pure genius, isn’t it? We’re sure he is turning heads when he takes his special Lamborghini out for a drive.

Delhi is still wrapped in a death blanket, with air pollutant levels still alarmingly high and dangerous. As air masks and air purifiers begin to get out of stock in the market, the Delhi government came up with its plan to contain the situation and make the air slightly more breathable for us.
    © BCCL
Speaking to media, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal briefly laid out the state government’s plan to tackle air pollution in the city. We all know schools have been shut for the next 3 days.
Besides that, the government is banning all construction and demolition activity for the next 5 days. Burning leaves will also be banned for the next few days. Other measures like prohibiting use of generators and sprinkling of water on roads have also been taken.
    © BCCL
Among the measures, artificial rain is one that’s also on the cards. Delhi Environment Imran Hussain, who met Union Environment Minister Anil Dave to propose artificial rain as an immediate solution to the pollution problem, told ANI, "We have appealed to the central minister to bring artificial rain technology, like other countries, so that we can get instant relief from smog. There are approximately 4,000 brick kilns in Delhi, where people are polluting the atmosphere by not following norms. We have discussed to control over polluting industries which emit a lot of smoke."
Sprinkling water to control air pollution is an old practice but considering the level of pollution in the city right now, the government plans to use helicopters to sprinkle water. Artificial rain, or cloud seeding is the process of artificially inducing rain by injecting the clouds with crystals, salts, or dry ice so that there’s a downpour.
    © Twitter
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “Pollution levels in Delhi are so high that Delhi has become a gas chamber. Smoke from other states because of stubble burning and meteorological factors are responsible. The environment minister should call an emergency meeting of the chief ministers of Delhi and its neighbouring states on Monday so that immediate steps to tackle the issue can be taken… This situation needs the intervention of the Centre at the highest level. Farmers should be given incentives to find alternates to burning stubble,”
Desperate times call for desperate measures. We wonder how effective the artificial rain would be in curbing pollution and how well it’d be implemented. One thing we desperately need right now is the odd-even scheme. *Dies coughing*

After officially announcing the remake of hit American television series ‘Homeland’, Ekta Kapoor is back in action with a new web series set in the backdrop of the Indian Army. Well, the good news is that actress Nimrat Kaur has bagged the lead role in the web series and she will be portraying the character of an Indian Army officer. Given the talent that she possesses, we are already excited to see her in this new avatar!
Who can forget the Inter-Services Intelligence agent Tasneem Qureshi, from ‘Homeland’? She not only impressed everyone with her tremendous acting skills but her character also went on to become someone whom people loved to hate. This time around her character will be preparing to be inducted in a combat role in the Indian Army.

From family based daily soaps to launching action packed intriguing web-series, Ekta Kapoor has made a huge shift this time and we are hoping that the show turns out to be a good one. Another reason for our expectation to soar rather high is the fact that this show is being directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, who definitely does not need any introduction. Do you remember ‘Iqbal’? Yup, that’s him!
“Roles that have an edge and are perceived as unconventional in nature have always drawn me towards them immensely,” said the Airlift actress. She further added, “This digital show, a medium I haven’t explored yet was a great follow up to ‘Homeland’ and ‘Wayward Pines’ which were my earlier attempts at the same.” The actress even stated that this connection to the story came instantly because of her love and passion for the army.

“When we announced the launch of ALT Balaji, we promised to break stereotypes in storytelling and this series is a strong reinforcement of that commitment,” said Ekta. Although the name of the series isn’t announced yet, we can already imagine how great this show is going to be, owing to such talented artists working together. ALT Balaji is set to be launched in early 2017 and will apparently feature exclusive and original content that you have never seen before.

The film that defined male friendships for the whole damn nation, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ still seems to be every guy’s favourite film. No matter how many times you’ve watched it, we bet you still laugh out loud at the ‘mard ban…be a man’ scene! Over the years, Bollywood has seen dozens of films on friendships but none can fill in the shoes of Akshaye Khanna, Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan.

But now there’s news that Farhan Akhtar is actually considering a sequel to ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and we really don’t know how to feel about it. We’ve seen enough examples already to believe that sequels are NEVER worth it, as they always leave a terrible aftertaste. But then, there’s a possibility that the sequel to ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (if at all it happens) might revolve around female friendships and that’s something Bollywood definitely needs.
Last year at a press event, Alia Bhatt told HT that she would love to be cast in a sequel to ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. “Pari (Parineeti), Shraddha and I should work in the sequel to Dil Chahta Hai (DCH; 2001) as three friends. I think that’s a superb idea. It will be so much fun.” She said.  Little did she know that what she said got back to Farhan Akhtar and he actually gave it some thought.
“Through you guys, I got to know that Alia wants to do a DCH part 2 with Shraddha and Parineeti. That [thought] stayed in my head, and I am thinking about it very strongly, but this time with three girls [as the protagonists]. We will see how it goes,” he told HT.

Previously, Mats Valk had set the world record of 5.55 seconds in 2012 but this record was broken several times by others, with the last record of 5.25 seconds, being set by Colin Burns, an American. But Mats has done it yet again and his speed alone is worth watching. We were left flabbergasted at his amazing skills with the cube.

Be it making a first impression on your boss (we know you’ve been eyeing that corner office with that amazing view) or getting along with colleagues (who land up becoming mates and gym buddies, provided things are swell!) your appearance on your first day of office can make or break the deal. We stand by the fact that work speaks stronger but a first impression is certainly made by the way you look. Guys tend to invest in corporate suits and shoes but miss out on few details that pull your entire look together.
Here are a few mistakes that you need to avoid on your first day of office.
    1. Get rid of those claws! © Pinterest
Do not let those nails destroy your impression. Cut your nails; if possible go for a manicure. Nobody wants to see your dirty (bruised with fungal infections) and unfinished nails. Go for clean and clipped nails.
    2. Don’t use too much cologne © Thinkstock/Getty Images
Overuse of cologne always kills it. People are not interested to know how much you’ve splurged on a branded cologne hence avoid using it in copious amounts. In such cases less is more. Yes, smelling good is important hence go for mild cologne or in summers when sweat patches become an issue, a deodorant should do.
    3. Sort out that facial hair © Thinkstock/Getty Images
Trim your beard or moustache on a regular basis. Over grown facial hair makes you look shabby and speaks volumes about you being lethargic. So, ditch that scruffy look. Guys who sport stubble, need to trim it to perfection too.
    4. Flaky Skin is a big no © Thinkstock/Getty Images
Though most guys might find it feminine but a good moisturizer can do wonders. For those of you who have dry, flaky skin, this bit of beauty routine is a must. Pick up a mild moisturiser with an oil base or take the natural route. One night before apply a mixture of lemon juice and honey, wash it after 10-15 mins you will see the results.
    5. Clean that hairy neck © Pinterest
Most of your haircuts involve cleaning the nape (which is where you hair line ends at the back of your neck). Most guys ignore this area as it is less noticeable but do you want excessive hair creeping over the back of your collar? Surely no. Hence get it trimmed neatly.

What do you get when you combine one of the most decorated clubs in the English Premier League, one of the best managers in the world, and arguably the best striker in the world? A Premier League title, that’s for sure, right? If the last couple of weeks are anything to go by, it didn't seem so.
Manchester United returned to their winning ways yesterday with a 3-1 victory over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.
Zlatan and Paul Pogba were two of the biggest signings for the Reds last summer and both players were on the score sheet this time around. Pogba netted the first with a stunning strike while Zlatan scored two goals to help the Red Devils pick up all three points.
    © Reuters
But, even though Pogba's volley was remarkable, it was both of Zlatan's goals which set important milestones. The first marked the 25,000th goal in the Premier League. He's barely been a part of the Premier League for half a season and his name will already go down in history. That's Zlatan for you.
The second goal was more of a personal achievement. It was his 400th senior club goal.
This ends the goal drought for Zlatan in the Premier League, and hopefully, we're going to see many more records being broken by THOR (Yup, that's what Pogba calls him.).

In 2006, BBC released ‘Planet Earth’, a nature documentary series that was so spectacularly shot, it was awarded an Emmy. A total of 8 million pounds was spent in making it, just to put things into perspective. Ten years later, the trailer of ‘Planet Earth II’ is out and it’s the most magnificent thing ever. The series talks about life in the islands and what nature’s wrath looks like. The stunning visuals in the trailer are going to blow your mind for sure. It’s being touted as the most expensive nature documentary in the world so far and we can clearly see why! This is the most unbelievable thing on the internet right now.

Movember (or No Shave November) is a movement that originated in 2004 and is all about growing out one’s facial hair to raise awareness. It’s also all about being lazy, growing out your beard and looking good while doing so. Because, why not?
We speak to 30 men—from all walks of life—who have mastered the art of grooming a good mug-rug, and are now ready to spill all the beans. Read on:
    Name: Bharat Arora
Profession: Supermodel and Organic Farmer. Host: ‘Band Baja Bride’
    © BharatArora
It's November—how are you feeling, what are you eating, drinking and listening to?
Feeling breathless, choked and disappointed with the current smog situation in Delhi. Eating all-organic-everything (I've got my own farm) and staying healthy. Listening to whatever-makes-my-behind-move and helps me unwind.
Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it? Any special beard stories:
My beard story goes back to many years; like I said I haven't seen myself clean shaven ever (even before it became a "trend"). Everyday makes for an interesting story when fashioning, grooming or simply managing this rug challenges my wits!
    © BharatArora
Do you use products? If so, what are your favourite beard products?
Not really, sometimes at shoots I’ll use a Mooch/beard wax, but that too sparingly.
How do you maintain your beard? Tell us your daily routine?
I don't indulge in much maintenance; perhaps I'm lucky not to need it. Having said that, regular trimming, washing the rug and combing it is an absolute must to avoid looking like a Neanderthal (laughs)!
    © BharatArora
    Beard do's and don'ts?
Trim it regularly; wash thy face to keep it clean & healthy. Always know what type of beard type suits your face AND temperament (it requires patience that many men may lack).
    Fact: Own a beard comb!
Has it changed your sense of style? Do you dress differently when you have a full beard?
It's a part of me; I like to believe that any of my attributes contribute to my carriage of whatever style I'm sporting. A beard definitely adds to one's personality if carried confidently.
    © BharatArora
Would you recommend grooms to sport a beard on their D-day? If so, how should they wear it?
I sported noticeable stubble on my wedding day. Many grooms these days go for that look so as to appear more masculine and rough around the edges. It needs to be well groomed (trimmed, seemingly nourished), suited to one's face type and complementing of one's personality. There are no rules to growing a beard but certain etiquette does go a ‘long’ way.

The wait is over. ‘Koffee With Karan’ is back with its fifth season. Life has got purpose again.
    © StarWorld
The first episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 5 aired last night and in all honesty, it left us kinda underwhelmed. The rapid fire was neither as rapid nor as fiery as we would have expected it to be, and Alia Bhatt could have been a lot more candid. But then, let’s also consider that she was pitted against SRK. And as the rule goes, you never win with SRK. The history of the last 4 seasons of ‘Koffee With Karan’ is proof enough.
It wasn’t the best we’ve seen on ‘Koffee With Karan’ but there were some moments that did make us laugh out loud! In case you missed the episode, here are the 6 best things that happened.
    1. Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar finally ‘owned up’ to their ‘relationship’. Shah Rukh thought it would be a good idea if Karan leaked their nudes and Karan Johar said it was time the world knew he was ‘the other woman’ in SRK’s life.
    © StarWorld
    2. That priceless moment when Karan Johar asked Alia Bhatt if she ever dated Sidharth Malhotra and she gave the most obvious denial ever.
    © StarWorld
    3. Shah Rukh Khan explained why Karan Johar is the worst person to go out shopping with. There was something about Karan Johar entering the changing room with Shah Rukh Khan and embarrassing the life out of him in front of everyone that you just cannot miss, for the love of everything Bollywood.
    © StarWorld
    4. Karan Johar introduced a new game, inspired by ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and Shah Rukh Khan delivered the best performance of his career with his ‘orgasmic’ act of cooking butter chicken. Pure hilarity!
    © StarWorld
    5. There was also a section where Shah Rukh Khan read a nursery rhyme like Arnab Goswami and it’s something the nation definitely needs to watch.  SRK owned the show and how!
    © StarWorld
    6. The show ended with Karan Johar being nice enough to promote Alia Bhatt and SRK’s next film ‘Dear Zindagi’ and Shah Rukh Khan said this to him in return, “That’s really sweet of you Karan, for someone who’s got nothing to do with the film.”

The news of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 bursting into flames hasn’t died down and we already have another leading smartphone manufacturer joining the bandwagon of exploding smartphones. On Sunday, Tanvir Sadiq, a user of Reliance Lyf and his family got the shock of their lives when that smartphone exploded. Tanvir even took to twitter to discuss this incident and wrote about how the company needs to look into this serious issue.

    — Tanvir Sadiq (@tanvirsadiq) 6 November 2016 Reliance Lyf smartphones were introduced this year coupled with services like Reliance Jio 4G services free simcards and preloaded Jio apps, all which were launched recently by Mukesh Ambani. One of the members of the Reliance Lyf team tried to reach out to the consumer. In fact, a spokesperson told ET, “The Lyf range of phones are designed and manufactured with global standards by some of the world’s leading manufacturers of mobile phones. Each phone goes through a stringent quality control process.”
He further added, “We are concerned about the incident reported in social media and are taking the matter seriously. We are assessing the cause and will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.”
Well, even though it’s a technical error, dear we as consumers should not be experiencing these problems. Diwali is over already and we are not in a mood to burn our hands with crackers like these.

Squatting isn’t easy. It’s painful. It kicks your ass. It’s brutal. But if you want to grow, you have got to squat. The choice is yours – squats or chicken legs. From raising the levels of testosterone and growth hormone levels to fixing back problems and fat loss, squatting is a key to many doors. If you are a regular squatter and don’t deliberately skip gym on legs days, this routine is for you. If you don’t like leg days or are a beginner, you should stay away.
The Smolov Squatting Routine  © Tnation
Smolov was designed by the Russian Master of Sports Sergey Smolov but was widely studied and applied by Pavel Tsatsouline who even published it first in ‘Powerlifting USA’. Again, before we begin to break it down, if your squat isn’t at least 100 kilograms, stay away. You still got homework to do. Also, most of the times you wouldn’t be able to work on any other body part.
How To Start The routine has five phases spread over 13 weeks. An introductory phase of two weeks, a four-week base cycle, a two-week switching phase, a four-week intense cycle and then finally, one-week de-load before maxing out.
Week 1 And 2 – Introduction Phase To get you accustomed to the hell you’ll face, in the first week you squat 3 days in a row. Rest of the week will be stretching only. In the second week, you have to squat every other day. Since the weight increases week-wise, the weight remains the same during the first week. Note, 65% means 65% of your one rep max and so on, and the table below shows sets and repetitions.
    Week Day Lifts 1 1 3 x 8 @ 65%, 1 x 5 @ 70%, 2 x 2 @ 75%, 1 x 1 @80% 1 2 3 x 8 @ 65%, 1 x 5 @ 70%, 2 x 2 @ 75%, 1 x 1 @80% 1 3 1 x 5 @ 80% 2 2 1 x 5 @ 82.5% 2 3 1 x 5 @ 85% Week 3, 4, 5 And 6 – Base Cycle You squat 4 times a week for 3 weeks. Say Monday 4 sets of 9 reps, Wednesday 5 Sets of 7 reps, Friday 7 sets of 5 reps and 10 sets of 3 reps on Saturday.

Week 9 To 12 – Hell Weeks Now that you are rested enough, it’s time to go heavier than ever. Lifting days become lesser but the loads become heavier. You might fail at a lot many lifts here. If you don’t, good. If you do, reduce the weights.
