    For some time now, desktops seem to have taken a backseat, thanks to our generation’s gradual bend towards laptops and MacBooks. But, things are about to get a little more interesting as Microsoft introduces its first ever desktop computer that turns into a digital drafting table and trust us; it’s going to blow your mind. This computer, called the Surface Studio, is Microsoft’s first desktop PC. Similar to the iMac, this desktop will be an all-in-one device.

    Talking about the design, the PC has a sleek aluminum body with 28 inch screen on top of a stand. In fact, Microsoft also displayed a new accessory called the Surface dial – this device augments computer mice and gives users a precise way to zoom into images and perform other actions as well. The display is touch sensitive and can be worked on with both your hands and a stylus well. There is also a ‘zero gravity’ hinge in the stand that allows you to position screen at an angle so that you can write and draw on it. In fact, it is this amalgamation of pen, touch and Dial that makes working on the illustrations fun and interesting. 

    The Surface Studio starts at $2,999 (around Rs 3 Lakh) and will be shipped in limited quantities this holiday season with broader availability in early 2017. In terms of specifications, the device is powered by the 6th Generation Intel Core processors that are accelerated by NVIDIA GeForce GPU for great performance and power. It offers 2TB storage, 32 GB RAM and 2.1 virtual surround speakers. It comes with four USB 3.0 ports, a mini display port, one SD card slot and an Ethernet port. This device is said to be compatible with the Surface Pro and Surface Book. According to Microsoft, this desktop has the thinnest ever LCD monitor with a 28-inch display that has 13.5 million pixels and a 4.5K ultra-HD screen. The monitor has a feature known as ‘true scale’ that helps the users preview designs in their real-world size.
    Do you think Microsoft is trying to remind us of how cool they are? Well, if that’s the case, we think their purpose is served, to some extent.

But, someone decided that they've had enough of the controversial Presidential candidate, and finally took a vicious stab at the star.

    In an exclusive, Deadline.com reported that a man disguised as a construction worker attacked the star yesterday in Hollywood, taking to the sidewalk, first with a sledgehammer and then a pickaxe! The man repeatedly smashed the star, using the axe to pick apart the letters in Trump’s name. No one came to the star’s rescue (obviously)—as pedestrians recorded the man on their phones, with one man even picking up one of the letters as a souvenir. Tragic!

    Apple has been sticking to its guns by consistently following the same design for the past two generations. We already know that the next iPhone will be an exciting prospect and will have a major overhaul in terms of design but it seems like Apple will be exceeding our expectations. 
    The Apple iPhone 7 is kind of similar to the iPhone 6s and we can assume it was intentional. However, Apple is planning to release a brand new design in 2017, and reports indicate that the next iPhone will have not two but three different models. We don’t know whether it will be called the iPhone 8 or it will be called something else, but be prepared to be surprised.

    The phone is rumoured to come in three different sizes i.e. with 4.7-inch, 5-inch and 5.5-inch displays. The phone is expected to have the front entirely made of glass as well as the back, where a metal frame will hold it together. Nikkei, one of the most reliable sources for Apple leaks, suggest that the phone will have glass faces designed by Biel and Lens. It is important to note that the last time Apple used an all-glass unibody, it was on the iPhone 4s.

    “Apple has tentatively decided that all the 5.5-inch, 5-inch and 4.7-inch models will have glass backs, departing from metal casings adopted by current iPhones, and Biel and Lens are likely to be providing all the glass backs for the new iPhones next year,” an anonymous source told Nikkei.
    Nikkei also elaborates that the 5.5-inch model will sport a curved AMOLED screen. This rumour has been floating around the internet since August. However, they also reiterate that the two other models will sport LCD screens like the current iPhone 7.
    Apple is also expected to remove the home button and will introduce wireless charging, which is a first for any iPhone since its inception. Wireless Charging has been a regular feature on premium Android phones and it Apple wants to catch up with the competition.

After all, it isn’t called the world’s largest professional network for nothing. Since LinkedIn paved its way in India in the year 2009, the company has grown remarkably here, making it the second largest market outside the US. It seems that even LinkedIn understands the potential of the Indian market and is trying to push for larger growth by introducing interesting initiatives.

    Discussing the budding opportunities in India, Akshay Kothari, LinkedIn India head and Chief Product Officer, said in an exclusive interview with Quartz, “we wanted to figure out a way to level the playing field and provide a democratized opportunity in a way where it shouldn’t matter if you went to the IITs or you went to some college that nobody’s heard of.” Well, we couldn’t agree more since in India, even today, a lot of students are concerned about the college name more than they are focused on the course they want to enroll in. Akshay further added, “What we also noticed was that in most colleges there were at least a couple of people who were quite brilliant. They were self-learned, and, regardless of the college and the location, they had figured out a way to be strong in their fields.”

    Akshay further emphasized on the fact that India produces nearly 8 to 10 million graduates every year with 1.5 million being engineers alone, but out of those, there are many who aren’t aware of the job opportunities available in metropolitan cities like Delhi and Bengaluru, especially the ones who are in tier II and III towns. What's more, there are several companies who don’t go to these places to hire and hand pick students. They only do so from a few “elite”colleges. So, LinkedIn is kind of trying to become a catalyst for those intelligent students who might be missing out on great opportunities.  
    When asked about the ever growing competition coming from other job portals, Akshay stated that they don’t call themselves a job hub; they are rather here to help individuals find the best opportunity and hone the skills of the employees. Considering India is a strategic point and one of the fastest growing markets, LinkedIn launched three major products in September – a job platform for fresh engineering graduates, a service pack for startups and a ‘lite’ version of its website that can work even on slow internet speed.

    Sorry guys, this has really happened. For those who were ecstatic about free Wi-Fi at railways stations, there’s bad news. The Railways has blocked porn sites for Wi-Fi users at Patna Railway Station. Sometime back, RailTel conducted a survey about Wi-Fi usage on railway stations and Patna railway station had topped the list with maximum searches on porn.

    East Central Railway (ECR) CPRO Arvind Rajak, while talking about the reason behind the blocking of porn sites, said that free Wi-Fi was being provided to commuters to help them access train timings and schedules mostly. “Unfortunately, the facility was being used for some ‘other’ purposes,” he said.

    Patna Railways Station, which was the first station in Bihar to get free Wi-Fi, sees tremendous footfall and is one of the most crowded stations in the country. No wonder the Railways was so prompt in banning porn sites at the station. 
    Indian Railways plans to provide free Wi-Fi to around 400 railway stations around the country. And now that porn sites are being banned at stations, we guess the Wi-Fi usage won’t exceed limits anyway.

    Xiaomi is all set to launch its uber cool Android phablet called the Mi Mix and this bezel-less screen smartphone is nothing short of a marvel for the tech market. The phone’s design is innovative, captivating and something that was, till now, only in our dreams as a concept. A few days back, there were stories of a futuristic concept smartphone with borderless design. Turns out it wasn’t just a rumor, Xiaomi has made this concept a reality.

    This high-end design, full-ceramic build smartphone comes with a massive 6.4 inch edgeless display screen and unlike other smartphones, its front camera is compact i.e. it’s 50% smaller than the traditional camera modules and is positioned at the bottom. The rear camera is 16 MP. Just in case you are wondering where the sensors and earpiece go, it looks like it kind of disappeared. Don’t be too surprised, the firm has designed a piezoelectric ceramic driver that converts the electrical signals into mechanical energy which eliminates the need for an earpiece altogether. The resolution of the phone is 2040x1080 pixels which is pretty impressive.
    The concept smartphone has been designed by world-renowned designer, Philippe Starck. Looking at the other features, it has a full ceramic body i.e. back cover, frame and side buttons, 8 MoHs hardness. It has replaced the traditional infrared proc sensor and instead included an ultrasonic proximity sensor hidden behind the display. It is powered by a 2.35 GHz Snapdragon 821 processor and comes with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 128 GB storage and a massive battery of 4400 mAh.
     
    The phone is priced at an affordable amount i.e. $ 516 which is Rs. 34, 500 approx. The phone also has an 18k gold version that comes with double the storage and an added 2GB RAM (6GB) and is priced at $590 (Rs. 29,500 approx). The specifications and the overall design of the phone sounds extremely interesting, but only time will tell how Xiaomi plans to pitch this concept smartphone globally. While it’s expected to launch in China on November 4, we hope that this smartphone to make its way to India really soon.

Formed in 2011, every member’s sheer respect and love for music unites them.     It’s hard to confine their music to one specific genre as they like to keep it fresh with a mix of blues, pop, psychedelic and sometimes even punk. They started off by covering songs from bands like Green Day and Blink-182 and moved on to release singles of their own. 

    In 2013, they came out with their first self-titled EP comprising of five tracks. The EP was a way for them to properly introduce themselves to the music industry at large. Packed with amazing music, the EP helped them get more attention and establish themselves as a band to watch out for.

    They recently won the Road to Converse Rubber Tracks by delivering an electric performance and got the opportunity to go to the US to record their music in Brooklyn. This was one of the biggest turning points in the band’s career, and by the looks of it, they are here to stay.

This video which is going viral for all the right reasons shows why it does not pay to be a dick, wherever you are.
    Canadian poker player Griffin Benger who was being baited by British player William Kassouf turned the tables at just the right time and slam-dunked him with a 5.6 million pot. “You’re just an abusive person, man. It’s not funny. It’s not a game. You’re being abusive to me. It’s called verbal abuse ... You’re a bully. It’s rude. It’s mean. ... Check your privilege,” Benger said before calling the pot.

    You can work out all you want. You can even pull two sessions a day but if you aren’t resting enough, forget about getting big and getting stronger. To grow stronger and to get bigger, muscles need time to recover. Simply put, muscles go through a shock during workouts and you need to rest to let them recover. After all, you don’t get stronger while working out. You get stronger when you recover well from your workouts. Lack of sleep, poor nutrition, dehydration, overtraining and stressful lifestyle is some of the key reasons for lack of recovery in most individuals. This will not only lead to muscle wasting but can also lead to overeating, poor performance, prolonged muscle fatigue and injuries in some cases.
    Following factors are important in the written order for optimal recovery:
    1) Sleep, Rest Days And Active Rest Days © Thinkstock
    Sleep is the most important factor in recovery. An athlete will need anywhere between 7 to 9 hours of sleep depending upon their age, genetics and lifestyle. Try to incorporate some rest and active rest days in your workout routine. Rest and active rest day requirement will vary from individual to individual but it is crucial even for pro athletes. Active rest means not training hard and including light jogging or stretching to get the blood flowing for better recovery. 
    2) Nutrition  And Hydration © Thinkstock
    Proper Hydration, especially post workout, plays a significant role in an athlete’s recovery.  Hydration post workout helps repair damaged muscles, digest vital nutrients, reduce soreness and recover hearth rate.  
    Good nutrition is required to avoid deficiencies of vital nutrients which help in recovery. Try to keep a balanced diet which includes a lot of dark and leafy vegetables, protein, healthy fats; include some dark fruits and limit sugar, starch and packaged food items. Specific food items including dark chocolate, turmeric and coffee have been proven to work wonder.

    Try to relax as much as you can after a workout session. The most effective ways to relax and recover from a brutal workout include meditation and listening to your favorite music. Relaxation helps lower cortisol in the body which in turn helps clear lactic acid faster to aid recovery.

    Massage or self myofacial release using a foam roller can reduce inflammation or soreness to a great extent. Although, it can be used anytime as a recovery method but it works best after training.

    Supplementation is not essential but can surely help advanced athletes recover from intense training. Vitamin D, Glutamine, Magnesium, fish oil, BCAAs, and Taurine are the most helpful supplements for faster recovery.

    In the absolutely-amazing, faith-in-humanity-restored category news we have a news item which is like a pleasant surprise. A stranger traveled all the way across the country to return a bottled message to a daughter that was put out to sea by her father 50 years ago…yes yes! You heard it right … 5 decades ago.
    So, Paul Tsiatsios (now deceased) wrote a note and dropped it in the Atlantic in the 1960s near the Beachcomber Motel in Hampton, which he used to own in New Hampshire along with his wife Tina and here is what the note inside the bottle said, “Return to 419 Ocean Blvd and receive a reward of $150 from Tina, owner of the Beachcomber.”
    Tina who is Paul’s daughter received a stranger at her door-step named Clint Buffington of Utah. Clint had found a Coke bottle half-buried in the sand while he was vacationing in the Turks and Caicos and flew across the country to deliver the deceased father’s message to her daughter. What a beautiful gesture!

    Winters call for some very specific yet easy beard care routines. If you sport a full and a heavy lumberjack beard, winters can wear your look down. With our 24/7 busy routines we do take out time to pick up swanky pieces for our wardrobe but we skip some easy grooming routines that can last long.
    So, to keep your beard shiny and soft, here are a few tips.

    We understand it is unbearable to bathe in cold water in winters but you need to understand the fact that if the water is too hot, it will wash off all the natural oils from your beard, making it dry and rendering you skin flaky. Hot water also makes your beard weak and brittle. Hence, we recommend taking cooler showers. Also, if you need to take a hot shower, make it quick. Before the shower, running a comb through your beard would be a great idea.

    Just like over usage of hot water, overuse of shampoo can also harm your beard. It again strips of the hair of its natural oils and makes it weak, which may lead to bald patches and weakening of its roots.     Apple is expected to announce the new and redesigned version of the Macbook Pro at their event on Thursday and it seems like they may have let a few images of the new laptop slip out. Macrumors, a website dedicated to everything Apple spotted these images embedded with yesterday’s macOS Sierra update. The images show a brand new MacBook Pro which sports a touch panel right about the keyboard and even a fingerprint reader.

    These images indicate that the Macbook Pro will be narrower than previous models and will have similar bezels around the keyboard and the screen. Apart from these major differences, the MacBook looks, more or less, the same. 
    However, one key highlight of these images is the presence of the touch strip and how it will be used. The images clearly give us an idea that the touch strip will display nothing when the computer is off however when it is in use, it will display colours, symbols and buttons.

    In one of these pictures it also shows the fingerprint reader being used for Apple Pay. The arrow in the pictures is pointing towards the right corner where the fingerprint reader is situated. There were also icons inside the macOS which show that it can be used to unlock the laptop and also authenticate applications with Touch ID.

    Sheamus: My moves have evolved over years and are something I have worked on. You’ve got to find moves that suit you. I have discarded moves in the past that don’t work for me but the Brogue kick along with a few other signature moves have become a huge part of my repertoire.

    S: I am constantly travelling, I travel almost 4-5 days a week which makes it very difficult for me to get any time for myself. But whenever I do get time for myself I like reading books or watching movies and just relaxing.
    MXP: Think you can win the WWE Tag Team Championship with Cesaro?
    S: We both need to be on the same page first. There is quite a big clash of egos and we need to overcome that to be able to be on the same page. I have never been a tag team champion and I’m looking seize the title. I am willing to work with him to overcome our clashes and become a stronger team to be able to win the title but it depends on whether he will do the same or just let his ego come in the way.

    S: I’m actually just a really cool, chill guy who’s fun to be around. I’m really funny and life is always a party.
    MXP: Your experience playing an iconic character like Rocksteady… 
    S: Acting has been so much fun and TMNT was great. It was well received and is still being well received after it came out on DVD. I’d love to do some more acting, it’s just that my schedule at WWE is too hectic right now to be able to. Playing Rocksteady was an amazing experience. I interacted with some great people. The crew and cast were really amazing and I got to learn so much from them. It was quite challenging and I love challenging experiences.

    MXP: Can we expect the Celtic warrior to be WWE Universal Champion anytime soon?
    S: I have become WWE World Heavyweight champion four times. For me right now it’s more about finishing my collection with the WWE Tag Team Championship title and the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Then maybe I’ll consider the WWE World Championship again. But right now I’m focusing more on completing my collection and if Cesaro becomes organized there will only be one left. But hopefully before I visit India the next time I’ll be a WWE Universal Champion.

    If you are one of those people who, at some point in their life, ogled at luxurious cars standing on the footpath and dreamt of traveling in one someday, Ola has made this dream come true for all you guys. Reportedly, BMW India and Ola have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bring on-demand luxury mobility in India. This means BMW is now the ‘Lux Category Partner’ for Ola.  
    If this news does not get your heart racing, wait till you hear this, the minimum fare is Rs. 250 and Rs. 20 to 22 per /km afterward. Yes, F**king Rs. 250 only, for a ride in a BMW! In fact, customers can also book the cars on an hourly basis through its ‘Rentals’ feature.

    Initially, the fleet of BMWs will be introduced across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru and will extend to other locations later on. Frank Schloeder, President (act.), BMW Group India said, “the way people move is changing and this is also true for premium clientele.” He further added, “Individuals want quick access to mobility without compromising on quality and comfort.” 
    Talking about the collaboration, Pranay Jiivrajka, Chief Operating Office at Ola, said, “We look forward to growing our association with BMW and taking the Ola ‘Lux’ service to a greater scale throughout the country.” Well, we couldn’t agree more, we too are looking forward to it and soooper excited to see how this turns out.

He recently made an appearance on ‘Good Morning Pakistan’ and needless to say, he dropped more than just a few jaws.     Google now has a feature in its in-built flight searching tool where it will give you notifications about different prices of flights you are interested in. We as travellers often look up the cost of a flight ticket when planning a future vacation. Google Now will now pop up to tell you when the cheapest fare is available and will also notify you when it is expected to expire.

    It will also show you a cost comparison as to how much you will end up saving if you book a ticket sooner than later. You will even have the option to track the flight or the route so that you receive notifications about fare increases. 
    Of course, the information can’t be entirely accurate as Google uses information that is available based on historic data on flight costs. After using this feature, we found it very handy as it is a useful resource if you want to save money on flight tickets.

    The Google Flights service is also being tweaked and improved upon for mobile users so that they can book a ticket on the go. The Google Flights service is not a standalone app but it is available via your mobile’s browser. As long as you are logged into your Google account on Chrome, you will be getting all the information required for your future travel plans.
