    One of the bright spots in the England squad in the five match Test series is Haseeb Hameed. The guy is just 19 and has impressed all with his gritty and solid batting display. And his fight back in the second innings just goes on to show what a find he is for the English team.

    Hameed was carrying an injury on his finger when he came in to bat. He supported Root very well in their quest for helping the team put up a competitive score to defend in the fourth innings but quickly found him running out of partners on the other end.
    Hameed then took it upon himself and made some quick runs to give England a lead of 102 runs. In the process, he also accumulated yet another fifty plus score in the subcontinent. He is, by far the only guy to have aced the pitches here in India. And that too while he was injured.

    So, when he finally made it back to the pavilion after the end of the innings, the India captain Virat Kohli, in a gesture of respect patted the young man Hameed because what he did in that final session of the play for England deserved massive applause. Watch for the guy, he’s surely one for the future!

While the 'Tracer Bullet Challenge' witnessed many legends fail miserably at the task at hand, the results were undoubtedly hilarious for the ones watching them.

    The challenge might seem like a cakewalk at first, but imitating Shastri in his high-pitch dialogue: "He bowls a juicy half-volley and Virat Kohli drives through the covers and it goes like a tracer bullet", surely takes some doing.

This short film titled ‘Chutney’, featuring Tisca Chopra and Adil Hussain, looks like the story of an ordinary middle-aged couple, where the husband has a difficult time being faithful and the simple housewife cannot do much about it. But as the film progresses, you realise things are not as simple as they seem and there is a dark truth the family hides. Tisca Chopra, in her role of the seemingly simpleton but shrewd housewife, makes the film absolutely enticing to watch.

    The Internet is a fool’s paradise and courtesy the humungous amount of information that floats in it, the internet is divided between people with sense, who use it to polish their intellectual faculty of the mind, and the others, who tarnish their ignorance further by believing anything and everything. The recent blame game about fake news being triggered by Facebook was under much scrutiny and amongst all this banter; we forgot that memes take a lot of flack for this. This new meme ignited some dumb brain cells yet again.

    The picture, which was obviously a joke, escalated quickly when people started thinking that it was for real. If someone really believed that DJ Khaled was the next ISIS leader and Obama was a party to it, I’d still give them some mental discount, but the fact that they also believed the ‘Shakira’ law is beyond obnoxious. While a lot of people could take the joke, others totally fell for it.

    I just hope this world doesn’t end due to an apocalypse courtesy an avalanche of dumbness.

    It has been nearly three weeks since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced currency demonetization and people are still struggling to get their cash exchanged or get new notes from banks and ATMs. However, there are a few places that don’t seem to be affected by demonetization and are accepting Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes like it’s nobody’s business. One of these places are the illegal Dance bars in Mumbai and across Maharashtra. In fact, it is being said that these places have emerged as a dump-yard for all the black money coming from frequent visitors such as businessmen, gangsters and politicians.

    So, how do they cope with the cash crunch? Well, these guys have created their own parallel currency. They’re cool like that! In order to carry forward their legacy of showering notes on the performers, people are using fake notes that are available at all dance bars. The notes have Mahatma Gandhi’s photo printed on it but the twist is that you won’t see the RBI governor signing these currency note; the signature is that of Santa Clause from the Children Bank of India. We want to run and hug these geniuses for coming up with such a great idea! Even economists are wondering why this idea didn’t strike their minds!
    The fake notes do bear some resemblance to the legal notes but its super quirky in terms of design. For instance, the fake Rs. 20 note used in the dance bar have ‘I promise to play with the coupon twenty or 20 rupee’ with signature of Governor Santa Clause. There was a sting operation conducted by India Today in the dance bars operating in Mumbai, Thane and Bhiwandi, that revealed that customers were showering fake notes on the women dancers and those notes were printed by one person. It was also discovered that the dancers were accepting the old currency and giving away fake notes in return that were showered on them later. So for instance, if a customer pays Rs. 2000, they will get parallel currency worth Rs. 1800 and while 50% of notes are taken by dance bar operators, the rest of the money is given to the dancer. Surprisingly, the payments for these women dancers are made in old currency and they deposit the money to their bank accounts.

    The investigation also revealed that the dance bars are still generating and stashing black money and using the parallel currency to deal with the cash crunch. Now, we aren’t sure whether this is true or not, but if it is then these guys are f***ing awesome and we just can’t get over the fact that they got Santa as their governor. Well, now we know where Santa Clause gets all the cash for Christmas, he has his own bank and currency.

    Just few days ago, 2015 UPSC topper Tina Dabi declared her relationship with Athar Amil-ul-Shafi Khan on social media. Athar had ranked second in the exam and had lost the first rank to Tina. They received immense support from well wishers and many people congratulated them on their marriage plans.
    Allegedly, The Hindu Mahasabha or the moral police of India do not approve of this relationship and are definitely not happy about this news. The national secretary of The Hindu Mahasabha wrote a letter to Dabi’s parents saying that while he was happy about Tina’s hard work and achievements, Dabi’s father should reconsider the match.
    He also wrote that Dabi’s father consider making Athar undergo ‘Ghar Vapsi’. All this because Dabi is a Dalit and Athar is a Muslim! The Hindu Mahasabha has declared their relationship to be ‘Love Jihad’

    A chartered plane carrying first division Chapecoense soccer team from Southern Brazil crashed on its way to Medellin’s international airport, officials said on Tuesday. The aircraft was transporting the passengers from Brazil to Colombia and had made a stop at Bolivia. The football players were on their way to a regional tournament final when the incident happened.

    At least 72 people were reported to be on board but it is not yet clear if that number included the flight crew or not. Colombia has recently been hit by heavy rains and although reports indicate that the crash could also be a result of fuel shortage, thunderstorms cannot be ruled out too.
    "It's a tragedy of huge proportions," Medellin’s mayor Gutierrez told Blu Radio. The mayor was on his way to the site of the accident late night after midnight when the tragedy seems to have unfolded. The British Aerospace 146 short-haul plane was in good shape and it is yet to be ascertained what really happened.

    Kim Jong-Un has apparently instructed his scientists to make a ‘*** potion out of sea urchins’ as a way of treating sexual dysfunction in men and help them perform better in bed.     Love triumphs us all, is imperative for peace to prevail and some people seem to go all out to stand for it. Dalcolm Rodriguez-Goldstein is trying to make this world a better place in his own sweet way. He is convincing the world for appointing Mia Khalifa as the US ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

    "Mia Khalifa has a proven track record of bringing people together", he explains. He has started the petition on Change.org and is garnering a lot of support, which comes as no surprise. 

    The petition has already received more than 1300 signatures and is probably being signed by many more as you read this. This appeal to Donald Trump has been received with great fervour by the residents there but the main question is whether Trump will give his nod or not.

    In the modern-era of sports, athletes are expected to keep pace with the ever-increasing level of competition to meet the expectations of the game. Cricket, like other sports, is one in particular that consistently pushes players to bring out their best on the field.

    The 27-year-old, despite starting slow in his innings, played his natural attacking game with 10 fours and a six to his name. But, the fact that the Indian spinner played out 170 balls (including 121 dot balls) in his innings highlights his intent.
    A batting performance like that, especially for a bowler, is bound to boost the morale of a cricketer. And, Jadeja's trademark sword-fighting celebration after his half-century was a sign that the Rajput boy thoroughly enjoyed his outing with the bat.

    The iPhone 7 has been one of those phones that has been tested for various things, but we never imagined dropping acid on it would be one of them. Smartphones, in general, can withstand a lot of abuse. Sure, the screen might crack when you drop it but they are mostly still functional. 
    Now to add even stranger things to the mix, the iPhone 7 has officially been given the acid test and it survived! We still can’t believe if this is possible but hey check it out for yourself.  When we tested the iPhone 7 in a bag of water, we concluded it could handle a dip in the pool. However, it seems like a pool of acid can be added to that list. Of course, please don’t even think of trying this on your own, but just to get your curiosity out of the way, this YouTube video tests both sulphuric and fluoroantimonic acids on the iPhone. 
    Prepare to have your minds blown:
    The guy in the YouTube video first uses fluoroantimonic acid, which is the most corrosive acid on the planet.  It has a pH level of  -31, which is a lot stronger than sulphuric acid.  Damn son!

    Aamir Khan not only sits at the epitome of fine acting but he also is an example of extreme discipline. While he has frequently been in and out of shape for his movies, his transformation for 'Dangal' outshines his previous physical transformations. Strictly abiding to the script, like always, when Aamir could have easily put on a body suit to look the fatter version of his character, he opted not to. Instead, he ‘actually’ became fat. At the height of his ‘fat man look’ he weighed 97 kilos at a baffling 38.9 percent body fat. That’s a LOT of body fat. But again, Aamir gets shit done.

    It's November— where are you right now, how are you feeling, what are you eating, drinking and listening to? 
    Currently glued to my couch watching the Chelsea-Spurs game hoping that Chelsea remains on top of the Premier League. There is a glass of Hibiki and a box of Neuhaus chocolates on the table (Screw winter weight, right?). The Life of Pablo (by Kanye West) is my go-to playlist on my phone.
    Tell us about your beard timeline. How long have you been growing it? Any special beard stories: 
    I've had the beard for a little more than 3 years now—from a stubble to Lumberjack and everything in between. The irony is that it started out as a break-up beard and has turned into the perfect ice-breaker with the ladies.

    Do you use products? If so, what are your favorite beard products?
    To maintain your beard, it’s essential to have certain grooming products handy. I rely heavily on my shampoo and conditioner by the Beardlife and a Philips trimmer. 
    How do you maintain your beard? Tell us your daily routine? 
    I shampoo and condition my beard twice a week and shape it everyday. A full grown beard has a mind of its own, so it may act crazy if you don't care for it!

    What are your beard do's and don'ts?
    Do—Shampoo and condition the beard often, because it’s pretty darn awesome to have a soft and good smelling beard.
    Don’t—I don't trim the beard on my own. I rely heavily on my barber to maintain the length and the balance.
    Are women into beards? (In other words: Will a beard get you laid?) 
    I was doing a small stint in Europe for work and one night at a bar I got termed "Hipster Jesus" by a girl I’d just met. The night ended really well is all I can say. Looking like God equals to a strong game I suppose (laughs)! Your beard is the wingman you always hoped for—it will definitely get you an in with the ladies but then it’s your brain that must work too. A jerk with a beard will only go so far.

    Has growing a full-on beard, changed your sense of style. Do you dress differently when you have a full beard? 
    I don't think the beard changes your sense of style, but it does give you the confidence to pull off a lot of looks that you didn't think worked on you. A groomed beard and great sneakers are definitely a must have. 
    One advice for boys trying to grow their beards?
    1. Care for it. Shampoo it. And condition it frequently. 
    2. Find a Barber who understands where you want to go with your beard—and stick with him. Professional help is a must! 
    3. Keep tissues handy when you eat, no one wants to see crumbs stuck to your beard, especially if you are on a date.

    So, the new artists on the block are these Desi-with-a-twist artists Naezy and Prabhs. Naezy or Naved Sheikh is a Mumbai based Rapper who writes lyrics in Hindi as well as in Urdu. His slang-infected rhymes and effortless flow have gotten him a lot of attention recently and he is quickly rising up the ranks.

    He is very skilled at projecting a very vivid description of the world we live in as he offers a poignant view of society. He hails from an orthodox Muslim family and has been raised in the Chawls of Kurla.  Hop and he both started copying Sean Paul, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg etc. 
    Naezy formed a Hip-Hop collective with his friends from Khalsa College named ‘Schizophrenics’. He released his first single 'Aafat' in January 2014 which quickly went viral gaining over 450,000 views on YouTube. In 2015 Naezy released ‘Meri Gully Mein’ which took the country by storm and also got him the much deserved recognition. This song inspired Disha Rindani to create a short film ‘ Bombay 70’ which went on to win the Silver Gateway Award for Best short film at the Mumbai film festival.

    Prabhdeep is a well-known and much respected Hip-Hop artist with many popular records to his name and even a cipher series under his sleeve called “old school cypher”. He has recently performed at perplexing music festivals such as the Holi Moo festival, the Hip Hop homeland, etc. and also performs frequently at various places in Delhi. He has a very unique and refreshing voice that is the very definition of Urban-desi.
