Tinder may have just got a lot more efficient, or a little too invasive. It all depends on how you look at this new feature. 

Tinder is a free app, but these paid features can get a little confusing. So, Tinder Plus, a paid subscription basically gives you:

Rewind: You can undo any swipe you've done. If you accidentally swipe away from someone, they are gone forever. But, Tinder plus gives the option to go back, so you don't miss out.

Passport: This allows you to change your location so you are able to swipe through people who live in another area. But, I feel like this feature can be a little tricky, as it can easily be used to lie to people about your location.  

Unlimited Likes: You can use a lot of “likes” (the heart symbol). Some would say an unlimited amount.

Extra Super Likes: Usually, you get only one superlike a day, but that number will be increased to five with Tinder Plus.

So, in addition to all of this, Tinder has now rolled out a new upgrade to its paid feature Tinder Plus, called Tinder Gold. For an additional â¹220 a month, people will be able to get access to the ‘Likes You' feature, which, as the name suggests, tells you who has swiped right on your profile beforehand. You can either go through a whole list of people who have swiped right on you, or identify them, while swiping normally, by a gold heart appearing on the user's profile.

"Think of it as your personal Swipe Right concierge—available 24/7—bringing all of your pending matches to you," Tinder wrote in its announcement. "Now you can sit back, enjoy a fine cocktail, and browse through profiles at your leisure."

But, doesn't the fact that you already know who has swiped right on you defeat the purpose of the app altogether? With this feature, no one would speculatively swipe – and that speculative swiping is precisely what makes Tinder work. The element of surprise would be lost.

But, maybe that's not the case since, according to Tinder, those who paid for Tinder Gold during the testing period had 60 per cent more matches.
