  1. Whoever thinks Bollywood is not capable of coming up with gripping crime thrillers needs to go watch Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Badla' ASAP. If you have watched the movie, you'd know that the reason why it was such an amazing watch was because all the actors gave their 100%, irrespective of the role. One of the characters who stood his ground, matching the inimitable acting chops of the formidable Taapsee at every step, is debutant Tony Luke. Tony is a supermodel who has been ruling the fashion canvas for a long time. In fact, he was amongst the first Indian male models to find a representation by an international agency. He was a part of the Milan Fashion Week in 2005, and pioneered the way for Indian male models in the international scene. Here are 8 pictures which prove that his style game deserves every bit of mainstream attention, and more. 1. Translucent black T-shirts - tricky but fire when done right. 3. Heard the story of a little boy whose parents left the sand and pyramids of Egypt for the big city? No, I'm not talking about Mo Salah! The first time I noticed Rami Malek (the actor) was in 'Mr. Robot'. An incredible show indeed. I watched it for Christian Slater because, admit it, no one knew who Rami Malek was or what a phenomenon he was going to become. But, he grew on me. It's not far-fetched to say, like fine wine, Rami Malek gets better with age. © AP Before you say it, no, this is not a Rami Malek appreciation piece. Don't get me wrong, he deserves all the praise in the world and I'll probably call him incredible on multiple occasions. But, here, I'm going to introduce you to the other side of Rami Malek. Not the actor. The person. There's only one song that was going on in my head while writing this and it's fair that you listen to it while reading too. It helps, trust me. What a weird name. Right? Take it from a guy who has had his name mispronounced more than he can count, it's not the best feeling in the world. Sometimes you correct people and at others, you just let it go. But, life gets better. As you grow older you realise there are more important things in life. Also, if you can't pronounce an Oscar winner's name properly, you're a nobody. Okay, not a nobody but obscure for sure. For Rami, he used this to his advantage. A little boy, born to Egyptian parents, growing up in Los Angeles couldn't have been easy. Remember, this was the 80s when inclusivity and emotions weren't as important as they are today. Assimilation was a struggle. But, as Rami tells us, “it's something that you fight against until you accept what a beautiful and powerful thing it is to have this history and this tradition running through your genes, you know?” If you watched his acceptance speech at the Oscar's, you would realise what an important role his family has played in his life and how much he credits them for his success. He didn't give the rehearsed "I'd like to thank the Academy, what an honour this is, blah blah", but straight up, “mom…I love you, lady.” Incredible. Watching that speech again has left me at a loss for words. You don't see him crying, but you're probably blind if you don't see the years of struggle in his eyes. Remember 'Night At The Museum? Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson at their comedic best. What about Rami? Did you know he was in the movie too? Yeah, he was the Egyptian Pharaoh. But, even with amazing comedic actors like Ben, Owen, Robin Williams and Hank Azaria, Rami made me want to see more of Ahkmenrah. I could say I knew then that Rami was going to make it big, but I'd be lying. He gave me a few laughs and then I carried on with life. Didn't even bother Googling him. Who cares, right? Even in the pilot of 'Mr. Robot', I was like "heyyyy it's the Pharaoh!!! Where's Christian?" I really believed he was Mr. Robot. After all, it's Christian Slater, amirite? That's when Rami entered my subconscious. Not as a Pharaoh, but as an actor. So, when I heard there was a movie being made on my favourite band of all-time, it came as a pleasant surprise that an actor I've heard of is playing the lead. Playing someone who everyone loved so dearly is no easy task. All it takes is for the movie to tank and you'll forever be typecast as the guy who ruined the legacy of Freddie Mercury. Luckily, little Bubba Rami was meant for much greater things. Killer Queen could have had a very different meaning here. Thankfully, it's just an amazing song with no negative connotations attached. Barring Bryan Singer, of course. This is not Rami's first taste of success, though. He's already won an Emmy for 'Mr. Robot'. So, it goes without saying that he's used to being the best among his peers. Not that he would ever admit it (as you could see from his speech). Do I see Rami completing the prestigious EGOT (Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar, Tony)? He's already won three of them and he's only 37. He can act. All he needs to do, is venture into theatre and he surely could join the likes of Mel Brooks, Audrey Hepburn, Whoopi Goldberg, and Andrew Lloyd-Webber among others, as an acting legend. He's going to return for the final season of 'Mr. Robot' soon, so if you haven't watched it yet, start right away. But first, please watch 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. It's worth your time and effort. Even if you're at a work, tell your boss that you're taking some time to appreciate the adversity Rami faced and celebrate his Oscar win by watching/re-watching 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. I'm sure they'll understand. What are your views on the movie? The Oscars? Who were your favourites to win? Let us know in the comments section.
  4. Who remembers the earlier days of the internet? Back when you popped your logo at the top left of your site and you were largely done? Invision Community has continually developed to account for all the new services that have been built during our 16 years. We now have social media sharing images, favicons and more to consider. Invision Community 4.4 also adds mobile application icons, Safari mask icons and data for an application manifest. Handling of these logos and icons was a prime candidate for improvement in 4.4. Moving our current options Step one for improving our handling of these images was to move our current options out of themes and to allow them to be managed suite-wide from a single area. You can still upload a logo image per-theme (which shows in the header area), but the rest of the options have now been relocated to a new area: Customization > Appearance > Icons & Logos. Adding new options After giving favicon and share logo management its own dedicated area, we took a look at enhancing the configuration options made available through the interface without requiring theme template edits. Multiple share logos You can now upload multiple share logos. If you elect to upload more than one share logo, Facebook and similar sites will generally either show a carousel to allow you to choose which logo to use when sharing, or simply use the first image referenced. Application icons You can now upload an image to represent your website which will be used to generate the "home screen" icons for iPhones and Androids automatically. Uploading a single image will result in several different copies of the image (in different dimensions) being generated, and mobile devices will automatically choose the best option from the list as needed. Safari mask icon You can also now upload a Safari Mask icon, which is used to represent your website in certain areas on Apple computers (such as on the "touchbar" of certain keyboards). This image must be an SVG image with a transparent background, and all vectors must be 100% black. Additionally, you can specify the mask color which is used to offset your image when necessary (e.g. to represent it as "selected" or "active"). Application manifest In order for devices to support the application icons that you upload, a file known as a web manifest must be generated and delivered to the browser. This now happens automatically, using details and icons specified in the AdminCP. Certain details, however, can be configured explicitly from the Icons & Logos page: Short name This is a short name to represent your site in areas with limited screen space, such as below your application icon on a mobile phone home screen. Site name This is the name of the site. The "Website name" setting is automatically used if you do not explicitly override it when configuring the manifest. Description A short description of your site Theme color You can choose a (single) color to represent the general theme of the site. This color may be used by devices in areas such as the address bar background. Background color You can also choose a (single) color to use as the background color for your site when the application is launched from a shortcut saved to the user's device home screen. Display mode Finally, you can specify the display mode your site should launch in. For our more astute designers and developers, you may have already realized that generating the manifest file lays the groundwork for future PWA (Progressive Web App) development and support. Additionally, some Android devices will automatically prompt users to add your website to their home screen now that a manifest file is generated by the site. Oh, and for the sake of completeness, we also generate the special browserconfig.xml file that Microsoft products (including Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, X-Box, and Microsoft-based mobile devices) look for when pinning sites and generating live tiles. There are no additional configuration options for this file - everything is automatically generated from the aforementioned options. The end result? Your community can now better convey, automatically, certain details to the myriad of devices out there that may be accessing your site, and you now have much better control over those details. You can more easily fine-tune the "little things" that help paint a complete picture of your web presence, and the groundwork has been laid for bigger and better things in the future as standardization and adoption of PWA functionality improves. This blog is part of our series introducing new features for Invision Community 4.4.
  5. Diljit Dosanjh is one of those rare celebrities who despite being delightfully down to earth and charmingly rustic, has managed to take his style game to such dizzying heights, that he now effortlessly counts as an international style icon. From embracing the most hypebeast-y of outfits to sporting the most talked about brands in the international fashion scene, Paaji clearly knows how it's done. Here are 8 pictures that support our claim. 1. When neither the rough wilderness nor the uber-futuristic car stood a chance in front of Diljit's multicoloured camo ensemble. © Instagram 2. Who else can make athleisure look as royal as Diljit is, here? It helps that it's all Gucci, but that's a different conversation (winks). © Instagram 3. Black and white can make the boldest of statements. Don't you just love the bag? © Instagram 4. Diljit knows how to do complete justice to the Barocco pattern by Versace. Not an easy print to pull off, we must say! © Instagram 5. Under normal circumstances, we'd advise everyone to steer clear of green overalls. But look at him go! Also, those shoes are everything. © Instagram 6. A pinstriped double-vested suit with a matching turban - if this doesn't make the ladies go weak in the knees, we don't know what would. © Instagram 7. If anyone needs a lesson on how to transform an outfit with accessories, they should consult Mr Dosanjh. © Instagram 8. Colourblocking is in, but it can be a bit of a challenge to pull off, unless of course, you're Diljit Dosanjh. © Instagram

  7. The fact that Mr Bachchan perhaps is India's best actor, and has been so since his debut, is a no-brainer. What baffles us is the fact that he's not only restricted to acting, when it comes to badassery. When it comes to style, he is still giving the younglings a run for their money, at the age of 75. Here are 8 pictures that establish our claim: 1. Colour coordinated hoodie and beanie - talk about relaxed athleisure at its finest. If we're half as cool as this even when we're 50, let alone 75, we'll consider that a major achievement. © Instagram 2. This is a polaroid picture that Big B's grand-daughter Navya clicked on her polaroid. Well, if our grandpa looked half as cool in a badass turquoise bomber jacket, we would, too! © Instagram 3. We'll just leave this picture here. No comments. © Instagram 4. Look at the hoodie he's wearing while meeting Mr Perfectionist. Not many 25-year-olds can pull it off as well as he is, here. © Instagram 5. Outfit goals and eyewear goals - all in one picture. The best part is, the outfit and glasses, despite being super extra, doesn't look like it, on him. © Instagram 6. While putting this picture up on Instagram, he put up the word 'Hypebeasts' as a caption. He says he learnt it from 'the daughter and grand daughter', but we all know who's the OG hypebeast (look at that hoodie!) © Instagram 7. A statement black leather trench-coat. Do we need to say more? © Instagram 8. Pink is the colour he chooses to wear while greeting his fans. Classy or classy? © Instagram If this is not a legend right here, please change the definition.
  8. Jaiveerraj Singh Gohil, the 'Yuvraj' of Bhavnagar, can often be spotted in the company of our favourite Bollywood stars. While the fact of him being the Prince of the erstwhile state of Bhavnagar in Gujarat certainly helps, that probably will just be the opening line of a conversation you might strike with him. He is famous (not to mention 'eye-catching') in his own right, because of his prowess in the varied fields he is interested in - right from bodybuilding to hospitality to politics. © Instagram © Instagram Born 27th October, 1990, Jaiveerraj has a degree in Hotel Management, plus a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Sports Management from Les Roches in Switzerland. © Instagram © Instagram He is a fitness consultant who is passionate about Bodybuilding, and is also the President of the Gujarat State Bodybuilding Association. © Instagram © Instagram Our favourite Bollywood stars are often spotted in his company, chilling or socializing (or even working out) with him. © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram He is married to princess Maharajkumari Kritiranjani Kumari of Sant. © Instagram © Instagram Jaiveerraj carries off his royal outfits with unmatched charm, with the definitive rustic twist of his signature handlebar moustache. © Instagram © Instagram Jaiveerraj is extremely popular in his home state - rightfully so, we say - because of the love and reverence the people unconditionally shower on him, which he returns with equal warmth. © Instagram © Instagram All we can say is, all the best for all your endeavours, Your Highness.
