1. Pakistan Single Window (PSW)

What is PSW?

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is the online system used for import, export, and customs-related approvals.

Previously, traders had to visit many government departments. Now everything is available through one online portal.

HS means:

Harmonized System Code

Every product in the world has a unique code.

Example:

Product	Example HS Code

(The full code and applicable duties depend on the exact product classification.)

Why HS Code is Important

It determines:

Required NOCs
Prohibited Items

Consultant's Responsibility

A consultant must identify the correct HS Code because an incorrect classification can lead to penalties, delays, or reassessment.

4. Letter of Credit (LC)

LC means:

Letter of Credit

It is a bank guarantee.

Instead of trusting each other directly:

Buyer trusts Bank.

Chamber requirements

A consultant prepares the application and submits it to the relevant chamber of commerce for issuance.
