It’s no secret that Kangana Ranaut is a hardcore BJP supporter and she hasn’t shied away from accepting it in public. She is someone who has strong opinions about the topics of national interest. 

Now, she has spoken about the much-talked about incident wherein Prime Minister Narendra Modi's convoy was stopped by protesters in Punjab, forcing him to return. "The PM was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes. This was a major lapse in the security of the PM," said the Union Home Ministry in a statement. 

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said there had been no security lapses on the part of his government. "We had asked them [Prime Minister's office] to discontinue the visit due to bad weather and protests. We had no information of [the] sudden change in route. There was no security lapse during the PM's visit," Mr Channi told the media on Wednesday.

It’s a major security lapse and people are demanding for President’s rule in Punjab. Kangana took to her Instagram Stories to call the incident 'shameful'. She wrote, "What happened in Punjab is shameful, the Honourable Prime Minister is democratically elected leader/ representative/ voice of 1.4 billion people, an attack on him is an attack on every single Indian... it is an attack on our democracy itself, Punjab is becoming a hub for terrorist activities if we don't stop them now, nation will have to pay a big price #bharatstandswithmodiji."

A while back, Kangana also faced the heat of the protesters and her car was surrounded by farmers in Punjab's Kiratpur. The incident took place in Bunga Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib on Chandigarh-Una Highway.  

In a video shared by Kangana on her Instagram stories, she was seen saying that they were not letting her car move ahead. “They are calling themselves farmers. They are attacking me, abusing me and threatening to kill me…In this country, this kind of mob lynching is happening openly. If I would not be having security with me, what situation would be there, what would happen? The situation here is unbelievable,” she said. 

“There is so much police presence, still my car is not being allowed to go. Am I a politician? Do I run a party? what is this behaviour…Several people are doing politics in my name and today’s episode is the result of that,” she added. 

On the professional front, Kangana is currently working on her production venture, Tiku Weds Sheru. It stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in the lead roles.
