Sometimes rumour mills can work overtime and pose a threat to the societal standing of a celebrity. Back in 2014, when actor Hrithik Roshan and ex-wife Sussanne Khan announced their split, they broke a million hearts of fans rooting for this relationship. While they announced it was amicable and they continue to stay friends till date, there were some downtrodden rumors around Arjun Rampal being one of the reasons as the actor was a very close friend of the couple.

Later when Arjun and wife Mehr Jessia announced their divorce, there were some upsetting headlines which speculated Sussanne’s closeness as one of the reasons that drove the couple to split up.

Addressing the rumours and bashing them rightly so, Sussanne had issued a statement back then, clearing the air. “Arjun and Mehr are friends and have been for years. To poison a relationship such as this is malicious behavior. I have, with Mehr, earlier stated in the same paper that there is no truth to the claim that Arjun and I are anything more than friends," Firstpost quoted Sussanne.

"I never was and am not an idle Bollywood wife who has all the time in the world to spread canards and lies that damage relationships and lives," she added. Clearly these were rumors as post their divorce, Arjun Rampal got into a relationship and even has a beautiful son with his partner Gabriella Demetriades.
