After the huge success of Sacred Games, the Netflix series returned with its second season in 2019. Sacred Games 2 received a mixed response from viewers after which it was revealed that the show will not return with another season. Recently, a post is doing the rounds on social media regarding the casting for Sacred Games 3 leaving loyal fans excited. However, director-producer Anurag Kashyap has now made it clear that the third season is still not happening.

Taking to Instagram, Kashyap called out the scamster casting female actors who are 'okay with bold scenes'. He shared a screenshot of the scamster's Instagram story and requested his fans and followers to report him. In the caption, he wrote, "This man rajbeer_casting is a scamster. Pls report him. There is no season 3 of Sacred games happening. I am filing an FIR against this person". 

While the screenshot shared by the scamster reads, "Hello All Finally the Opportunity has come Casting for Sacred Games 3 Netflix Series Direct – Anurag Kashyap Female 20 -27 years To play lead Role.. Must be ok with bold scenes.. Female 20 -28 years.. Second lead to play dancer.. Must be ok with bold scenes.. Female 30 – 40 years.. To play village aunt.. Must be ok with bold scenes... For the unversed, Sacred Games revolves around Sartaj Singh (played by Saif), a troubled police officer in Mumbai, who receives a call from gangster Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin) who tells him to save the city within 25 days. The popular series chronicles the events which follow. The first season was helmed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. While Masaan fame Neeraj Ghaywan directed the second season with Kashyap. 

Besides Nawazuddin and Saif, Kubbra Sait, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi, Kalki Koechlin among other talented actors were seen playing pivotal characters in the two seasons of Sacred Games.
