Allu Arjun’s Pushpa has become one of the biggest movie releases the country has witnessed. From the aesthetics of the movie, to his stellar acting skill, the cinematography, the supporting cast, literally the entire package has managed to make this movie cross the Rs 200 crore mark in the times of the Pandemic as well.

However, before a movie is finally rolled out, a lot of to-and-fro happens between the makers and the people involved, including sometimes changing the star cast. Here are 5 actors who were offered a role in Pushpa but they rejected it due to various reasons:

1. Mahesh Babu

There was a lot of noise when the actor’s fans found out that he was the original choice for the titular role of Pushpa. However, the actor was not too keen on experimenting with his looks for the character. Also, the director revealed later that the script which was narrated to Mahesh Babu was later altered to suit the narrative of the final project.

2. Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Everyone cannot stop raving about her performance in that one song, and she is arguably one of the most successful actresses in Tollywood. However, rumour has it that the actress was offered the lead role of Srivalli opposite Allu Arjun in the film. The role was eventually essayed by Rashmika Mandanna.

One of the fittest actresses in the country, Disha was offered the song Oo Antava, which was taken up by Samantha later.

4. Nora Fatehi

The unbeatable queen of dancing numbers, no one can do it like Nora. The makers had approached her for performing Oo Antava but according to reports, it didn’t materialize after she demanded a hefty amount for the song.

5. Vijay Sethupathi

The fiesty character of the Police officer which was essayed brilliantly by actor Fahadh Faasil, was originally first offered to Vijay Sethupathi. The actor had no dates to accommodate the project and hence could not take it up. Also, the director, Sukumar apparently also approached Bengali actor Jishu Sengupta and Telugu star Nara Rohit for the role.
