Nowadays, Ananya Panday is busy promoting her upcoming film Gehraiyaan directed by Shakun Batra of Kapoor & Sons fame. 

Besides Ananya Panday, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhanth Chaturvedi, Dhairya Karwa, Rajat Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah. 

Recently, a clip from the promotions had gone viral where Siddhanth was seen lending Ananya his jacket when the actress was feeling cold. No points in guessing, Chunky Panday’s daughter was trolled by a section of social media users.

For the next day of promotions, Ananya decided to opt for a full-sleeve red mini dress but the trolling didn’t stop. This time, the video of the actress adjusting her dress while walking to avoid a wardrobe malfunction has gone viral.

Reacting to the video, one troll commented, “Struggle queen ki kapde bhi struggle karti hai kya?” Another mocked her saying, “Sach a great struggle to manage these shorts Big salute for your struggle”. 

One user was seen giving unsolicited advice, “There’s no grace in wearing something that your not confident in. It’s not about how much you are exposing or covering.” One comment read, “She definitely cant carry such dress”. 

Another comment read, “Who said star kids who make it big through nepotism don't have to struggle?!”

For the unversed, the comments about the “struggle” bit is in reference to her statement where she had talked about her struggle being a star kid and had said, “Everyone has their own journey and their own struggle.” 

She had also, in a way, equated struggle to not being a part of Koffee With Karan saying her father was never invited to the show. 

Ananya had later talked about her statement and had admitted she could’ve worded it better. But trolls being trolls didn't spare her.

As for the promotions of Gehraiyaan, the actress was also seen addressing the jacket incident and said that she is wearing full sleeves today. Deepika was also seen laughing about it saying, “Abhi woh jacket dega, phir aap sab bologe (Now he will give her his jacket and you all will talk).”
