'3rd Hat-Trick Loading': Kuldeep Posts Cryptic Tweet, Fans Feel Spinner Will Play 2nd ODI

India are set to take on the West Indies in the second ODI in Ahmedabad on Wednesday with an eye on securing the three-match series after taking a 1-0 lead on Sunday. India had outclassed the West Indies by six wickets in the series opener thanks to exceptional performances from Yuzvendra Chahal and Rohit Sharma.Β

Chahal picked up four wickets for 49 and was the pick of the bowlers at the Narendra Modi Stadium where the pitch assisted spinners.Β

India had opted to go with Washington Sundar as the second spin bowler in the playing XI and he too did well with the ball, picking up three wickets for 30 runs.

However, with the pitch assisting spinners and the West Indies batters finding it hard to face turning deliveries, the hosts might be tempted to include another spinner in Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI.Β

The left-arm spinner, who last played international cricket six months back, took to Twitter to share a few pictures from his training session and his cryptic caption left fans wondering whether Kuldeep will get a game tomorrow (February 9).Β

"Final touches before the big game," Kuldeep captioned a few pictures on the micro-blogging site on the eve of the second ODI between India and the West indies.Β

Cricket fans who have been waiting to see the left-arm spinner back in India colours expressed their happiness and shared their expectations from the bowler, if he gets a chance to play the second ODI in Ahmedabad.Β

India have limited 50-over games left as they look to find the perfect combination for the next ODI World Cup, set to be played in India next year.Β

India tried Ravichandran Ashwin in South Africa but he failed to provide breakthroughs in the middle overs. With Ashwin out of the mix, Kuldeep's chances to play against the West Indies seem bright.Β

If he does get a place in the playing XI, it will be interesting to see how Rohit Sharma manages three spinners against an explosive West Indies batting line-up.

Rohit has already backed Yuzvendra Chahal and the new India white-ball captain made his intentions clear that going forward the team is banking on the leg spinner to deliver in big matches. And it feels like Kuldeep too needs similar support from the team management and captain.
