Shark Tank India fame Namita Thapar is a huge Amitabh Bachchan fan and she has talked about this fact multiple times in interviews. 

Post the success of Shark Tank India, Namita along with other “Sharks” Ashneer Grover, Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Ghazal Alagh and Peyush Bansal visited the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. 

Later, the group also visited The Kapil Sharma Show. After the episode of the comedy show was aired, Kapil Sharma took to YouTube and shared uncensored footage from the show.

In the footage, Kapil is seen asking Namita about her love for Amitabh Bachchan and her experience of visiting the sets of the quiz show. He said, “Aap Bachchan saab ke fan hai, jab unhone aapki daulat dekhi, woh aapke fan ho gaye honge (You are a fan of Amitabh’s but when he saw your wealth, he must have become a fan of yours)”.  

Namita laughed and replied that Amitabh Bachchan has set the bar high and because of that she finds it difficult to like anyone else after him. She said, “Bachchan saab ne toh poori meri life hi khatam kar di hai. Unke baad koi doosra pasand hi nahi aaya (Bachchan sir ruined my entire life. After him, I haven’t liked anyone else). It’s such a tragedy.”  

Vineet Sigh then added that Anupam Mittal has a deep voice and sounds a lot like Amitabh Bachchan. Kapil chipped in saying that he is even sitting like how Amitabh Bachchan used to sit in the 1990 cult film Agneepath.

Shark Tank India started airing in India on December 20, 2021, and its final episode was telecast on February 4, 2022, on Sony TV. The show was hosted by Rannvijay Singh.
