Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, most recently seen in Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan, is getting a positive response for his performance in the film co-starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa. 

The actor made his Bollywood debut with a supporting role in Ranveer Singh-starrer Gully Boy and has indeed come a long way in the Hindi film industry. 

However, being an outsider, he also went through his share of struggles. 

In a recent interview, the actor revealed how he landed at a fake audition for the sequel to Shah Rukh Khan's Josh.

Talking to BollywoodLife about the fake audition, he said, "I have auditioned for Josh 2, for Eagle gang. There were so many guys standing in a queue and I asked them what’s going on, they said Josh 2 auditions are going on. Then I stood in that line for the whole day but my turn did not come".

The actor further shared, "The next day I went, I was the first one to go there and there was nobody, it was shut. I asked what time will the auditions start, the people who were there told me that there was a fake audition here yesterday. Josh 2 is not being made".

For the unversed, SRK's Josh was released in 2000 and also starred Aishwarya Rai, Chandrachur Singh, and Priya Gill in pivotal roles. Set in the year 1980, the film revolved against a backdrop of real estate dealings and communal violence. It was among the biggest hits of the year.  

Coming back to Siddharth, his latest release, Gehraiyaan, is getting a mixed response from fans.  

While a section of viewers really liked the story as well as performances of the lead stars, others failed to connect with the film's theme and bashed it. 

Currently, the Bunty Aur Babli 2 star has several interesting projects in his kitty.  

He has already completed the shooting of Phone Bhoot, backed by Excel Entertainment. Besides Siddhant, the horror-comedy also stars Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter in the lead roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on July 15 this year. 

His lineup also includes the romantic action-thriller titled Yudhra opposite Malavika Mohanan. He has also signed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan alongside Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav.
