Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri recently took to Twitter and claimed that he won’t be visiting The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his upcoming film The Kashmir Files because the ace comedian refused to invite the film’s team as the cast lacked “commercial big stars”. 

Vivek’s claim came after a social media user tweeted, “@KapilSharmaK9 ... Love to see promo of this film at your show #KashmirFiles @vivekagnihotri”. 

He replied, “They refused to call us on their show because we don’t have big commercial star. #FACT”.

Further responding to a tweet from a user which has now been deleted, Vivek added, “Even I am a fan. But it’s a fact that they refused to call us on their show because there is no big star. In Bollywood non-starter Directors, writers and Good actors are considered as NOBODIES.”

Soon after Vivek’s claim about Kapil Sharma and his show, a section of social media users took to Twitter and soon The Kapil Sharma Show was in trends. 

One user wrote, “The Kapil Sharma show did not invite the Team of "The kashmir Files" just bcz movie tells about the hidden truth of Exodus of thousands of kashmiri Hindus.” 

Another wrote, “Kapil Sharma refused to call Team of #TheKashmirFiles on his show Well ! @KapilSharmaK9  I am not gonna watch #KapilSharmaShow my entire life and also won't allow anyone in my family to watch”. 

One comment read, “Why there is no platform for The kashmir files#  kapil sharma show. I think this is the last nail in the coffin for your show”. 

There were a few others who called for the boycott of the comedy show, “@KapilSharmaK9 We want to know when are you bringing up @vivekagnihotri & Team for the promotion of much awaited film KASMIR FILES ? IF YOU WILL NOT THEN WE CHALLENGE YOU... WE WILL BOYCOTT NOT ONLY KAPIL SHARMA SHOW, CHANNEL & ALL BRANDS WHO SPONSORED UR SHOW AND CHANNEL.” 

There was also a user who called it a “propaganda movie” and wrote, “Kapil sharma show is a universal show.

It's not for some propaganda movies or some political promotion. Kapil is a universal star. He is not bhakt.#KapilSharmaShow”.
