For Women’s Day, Dia Mirza Shot A Video On “Perfect Imperfections” & Boy Did It Leave Us Teary Eyed

International Women’s Day - it’s a day for men too. To celebrate the women who’ve impacted their lives, been their rock and continue to inspire them.

Such an empowering video, right?

Dia Mirza’s monologue made us sit back and introspect - why are we so obsessed with “perfection”? Why do we only celebrate women when they become CEOs, a zero figure, get a promotion, or perhaps get married?

Why wait for annual bonanzas (or the 8th of March) to celebrate a woman? Instead, tell her - you’re perfect just the way you are…you are valued today, tomorrow, everyday!

We loved the part where she contradicts the popular maxim, “zindagi bahut chhoti hai”. Instead, she urges us to believe that life is rather long, and is sprinkled with loads of small happy joys.

The video is all about celebrating the little things, finding our real purpose and creating an impact in the hearts of people. But more than anything, it’s about going easy on ourselves, by not holding ourselves to the high expectations and standards of society. It’s time to embrace our imperfections.

So, forward this video to all the special women in your life and celebrate them in all their forms. Happy Women’s Day!
