Makers Of Prabhas-Starrer 'Salaar' Spend A Whopping Amount On Single Action Scene


Pan-India star Prabhas, who is currently waiting for the release of Radhe Shyam, will also be seen playing the lead role in Prashanth Neel's upcoming film Salaar. It is among the most-awaited pan-India releases and stars Shruti Haasan opposite the Baahubali actor. Touted as an action-thriller, the film will be released in multiple languages.

Prabhas will be seen in a beefed-up look in Salaar which is already making headlines due to its unprecedented action scenes. The team wants to make it the biggest action-thriller and is shooting the film on a huge scale. According to the latest buzz, the movie will also have a chase and fight scene at sea and the makers have shot it on a lavish scale.

According to a News18 report, the production team of the film has spent nearly Rs. 20 crore on this single action scene.ย Well, that's huge!

However, the makers are yet to confirm the same.

Interestingly, post the mega success of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's Pushpa: The Rise, the makers of Salaar too are rumoured to be thinking about releasing the film in two parts.The first part is expected to hit the theatres later this year while work on the second instalment is rumoured to begin next year.ย 

For the unversed, Prashant followed the same trend with the KGF series. While KGF: Chapter 1 was released in 2018, the second part is slated to hit the theatres on April 14.

There are also speculations that OTT giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are interested in acquiring the digital rights of Salaar. As per the rumours, the OTT players are offering as much as Rs. 200 crores to the film's production team for its digital rights.

Produced by Vijay Kirgandur of Hombale films, Salaar has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada and will reportedly be dubbed in Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.
