India's most-loved superhero Shaktimaan is finally making a comeback amid the huge craze for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After making it a household name on TV, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna is now working on the big-screen adaptation of Shaktimaan. Recently, Sony Pictures announced a big screen Shaktimaan trilogy and has teamed up with Khanna's production house Bheeshm International. 

While the hunt for the actor playing Shaktimaan on the big screen is still going on, Mukesh Khanna in a recent interview has talked about the Indian superhero's competition with Avengers.

While talking to Brut India, Khanna stated that Shaktimaan has all the powers and will become a global superhero now. He said, "If you compare Shaktimaan with the powers of any superhero, maybe an Iron Man, maybe a Spider-man, maybe a Superman, Shaktimaan can do everything".

According to him, Shaktimaan will give strong competition to Avengers. "It will become a global superhero now, in front of maybe Avengers," the actor added.

While fans might think that Shaktimaan's power might be increased to compete with Avengers, Khanna believes that the desi superhero is already made up of the five elements of the universe and doesn't need a further boost. He shared, "People say you will have to increase the powers, Avengers have come and you are in competition with Avengers. But let me tell you that Shaktimaan has every kind of power because he’s made from the five elements of the universe".

Talking about the much-awaited Shaktimaan trilogy, he further shared, "Bigger villains will be there. The gadgets will be big. But Shaktimaan’s soul will remain the same."

For the unversed, Shaktimaan was among the most popular TV series in the 90s and its fans are eagerly waiting for their favourite hero's big comeback.
