As CSK Manager Tattoos ‘Dhoni’ On His Arm, Fans Troll Andre Russell Due To ‘Comedy Of Errors’

The Indian cricket fraternity is in recovery mode after the former captain of the Indian cricket team and one of the most successful leaders of the Indian Premier League, Mahendra Singh Dhoni decided to step down as the Chennai Super Kings skipper ahead of the 2022 season.

And while different people have different ways to cope with shocking news, the CSK manager Russell Radhakrishnan, who has been a part of the Chennai franchise ever since the beginning of the tournament in 2008, decided to tattoo an avatar of Dhoni’s on his arm and immortalise his legacy forever.

The CSK official shared a picture from his official Twitter handle in which he can be seen showing off a massive tattoo-work on his skin. It is a carbon copy of the CSK logo. Underneath the logo are mentioned the years in which the team had won the IPL tournament.

However, in this picture shared by Russell on the micro-blogging website, a little addition has been made. In what is clearly a lot more recent tattoo, ‘2021 Thala’ can also be seen on his body representing CSK’s extraordinary journey during IPL 2021 hat led to their fourth title in franchise history and all of them coming under the captaincy of Dhoni aka ‘Thala’.

The rest of the CSK fans were highly impressed by Russell’s dedication and love for the franchise that he has been a part of for so long and wished him well for inscribing Dhoni’s name on himself for the rest of his life.

But there were a lot of people who had no idea who Russell was.

Watching the manager’s official Twitter account was verified, many believed it was the West Indies cricketer Andre Russell who had tattooed the CSK logo and made upgrades to it after Dhoni announced stepping down as the captain.

Bsdk tum CSK mein kab Gaye ?

Andre Russell, who has been one of the most feared cricketers in the history of the league, has been in the IPL since the 2012 auction and has only played in the tournament as a part of the Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals now) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), so far, and might be another reason why people thinking that he got inked with ‘Thala 2021’ would make even less sense, especially because CSK had defeated KKR to win that match last year.
