Twitter Hails MS Dhoni As The Most ‘Down To Earth' Cricketer After He Sleeps On Field During Match

On one hand where the Sri Lankan fans lost control over their anger and frustration and started throwing bottles on the ground, thus bringing the match to a halt; there was one man who gave zero flying f**ks to what was going on around him and took that opportunity to take a power nap on field. We are talking about our Captain Cool aka MS Dhoni, whose coolness is compared to that of an ice cube and refrigerator by Sunil Gavaskar. While, the umpires were trying their best to get the situation under control at the earliest, Dhoni was unperturbedly charging himself with a sound sleep amid the hullabaloo. Did the crushing bottles falling on the ground sound like a lullaby for Dhoni? Well, who knows, but if this isn't considered as keeping calm, we wonder what is.

The match was stopped for nearly half an hour because of the chaos created by the disgruntled fans, who were upset with the Sri Lankan team's performance. While, we fans were biting our nails in tension and wondering about the match's outcome in the ongoing ODI series, Dhoni seemed to have all the chill in the world and made most of the time he got by sleeping on the field itself. Honestly, had Avicii's ‘Wake Me Up' been shot in India, these shots of MS Dhoni sleeping would have made for a great video with him telling his team ‘Wake me up when it's all over'. Clearly when such a spectacular view is in front of us, how can Twitter remain silent and let it pass like that. Internet lost its calm the moment they saw this picture and the memes and reactions to Dhoni's sleep is priceless.

Someone even imagined actor Suniel Shetty giving off-site training to Dhoni.

After the match resumed, MS Dhoni together with Rohit Sharma paved India's way towards victory by achieving the target of 218 in 45.1 overs.
