The SpaceX Blooper Reel That Elon Musk Just Released Proves That His Life Is Just Like A Movie

Every time Elon Musk makes a mistake, it obviously does not come cheap, especially when it comes to SpaceX, his aeronautics company. And, instead of sweeping all of his failed attempts under the rug, he's out here flaunting them.ย

Yesterday, Musk shared a video highlighting what happens when you fail to land an orbital rocket booster, and it is insane.ย

Musk once said that he would like to measure the success of his company's efforts to land and reuse rocket boosters on how it becomes such a routine, that it's not even newsworthy anymore. And, doing just that, SpaceX has landed about 16 rockets, on either a landing platform at sea or its helicopter-like landing pad at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, turning what once was considered an incredible and jaw dropping feat to achieve, into an everyday thing.ย

Since SpaceX has landed so many rockets, Musk thought it would be nice to remind everyone just how difficult it is to reach that point with a two-minute blooper reel of all the failed attempts, set to Liberty Bell, the tune used as the Monty Python theme song.ย

The whole video consists of just rockets exploding and getting destroyed, one after another, complete with funny and self-depreciating captions like โ€œRocket is fine? It's just a scratch.โ€ Another hilarious caption said, โ€œWell, technically it did landโ€ฆ.just not in one piece.โ€

The rockets can be seen crashing into a landing platform at sea, or the ocean itself, and during one of the tests, the rocket just exploded mid-air.

Obviously, all of these failures led to a successfully run operation in SpaceX, which is highlighted towards the end video by demonstrating the company's first land landing and the first droneship landing.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Musk said, โ€œLong road to reusabity of Falcon 9 primary boost stageโ€ฆWhen upper stage & fairing also reusable, costs will drop by a factor >100.โ€
