Jayalalithaa’s condition after being admitted to the Apollo hospital in Chennai was a closely guarded secret. A leaked email though has sprung many conspiracy theories into action and could have wide-ranging ramifications.

The email reads that Jayalalithaa was on wrong medication for diabetes before arriving at the hospital and that she was being kept alive through support systems to make time for preparations for the eventual death.

This email is expected to blow up into a controversy as Leader of the Opposition, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s (DMK) MK Stalin, has already demanded a white paper on the treatment given to Amma. Whatever be the case, Jayalalithaa’s death does not seem to be a simple open and shut case as many will now wonder if her doctors were involved in a bigger conspiracy to keep Amma out of the CM’s office.
