Everything comes at a price, especially stardom. Probably the best and the worst part of being famous is the recognition that comes along with it. The modern technological advancement pressurises people to keep their social media flying high and if you spot a celebrity but have no proof of it on your profile, sorry bro, you ain't cool enough. Recently, Varun Dhawan had a taste of what stardom looks like.

It was a normal day, and the traffic on the busy roads of Mumbai was on its usual halt. A crazy fan spotted Varun Dhawan on the road and the actor happily obliged her by clicking a selfie!
"When my fans smile everything seems worth it." - @Varun_dvn

— Varun Kingdom (@Varun_Kingdom) November 23, 2017Varun Dhawan is literally the purest soul ever.
— mihika (@_mihikaa) November 23, 2017All of this, however, came into the notice of the good Samaritans at Mumbai Police. The Mumbai Police has issued a 'challan' and reprimanded him for causing a ruckus. The tweet asked Varun to take his image of a youth icon seriously.
.@Varun_dvn These adventures surely work on D silver screen but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai! U have risked ur life,ur admirer's & few others. V expect better from a responsible Mumbaikar & youth icon like U! An E-Challan is on d way 2 ur home. Next time, V will B harsher pic.twitter.com/YmdytxspGY
— Mumbai Police (@MumbaiPolice) November 23, 2017Varun was quick to revert and accepted his mistake with good humour. He tweeted a prompt apology as well.
My apologies ð Our cars weren't moving since we were at a traffic signal and I didn't want to hurt the sentiment of a fan but next time I'll keep safety in mind and won't encourage this. https://t.co/MEJk56EksG
— Varun Dhawan (@Varun_dvn) November 23, 2017The internet then got divided on opinion about how 'wrong' was this selfie after all. Some questioned the Mumbai Police for not addressing the woman in the picture who is equally involved.
Hey @MumbaiPolice what about the girl? She is equally involved in this misadventure. Have you guys sent an e-challan to her too? Or you will target only @Varun_dvn just because he is "an extremely successful" actor and hence a soft target? https://t.co/bpSGnZN4ey
— The Skin Doctor ð© (@theskindoctor13) November 23, 2017Others questioned the presence of so many VIP and celebrity cars on the road which halt the daily traffic.
What about this? Dont be sorry pic.twitter.com/fZYDoBffhC
— Fahad Naseem Sayed (@fahdsayd7) November 23, 2017Guess there's no winning for being a celebrity. You get the attention but you also pay the price!
