It's been a year since we got the exciting news that Madame Tussauds was coming to Delhi, and now the wait is over!
We won't have to travel to a different country to click a selfie with Shah Rukh Khan or Aishwarya Rai Bachan's wax statues as India's first ever Madame Tussauds has opened its doors in Delhi today.
The iconic Madame Tussauds, known for its intricate and life-like wax creations, is paying homage to A-listers from Bollywood as well as Hollywood, featuring icons from sports, music and other notable people who have helped shape the historic and popular landscape of both India and the world.

Housed in the historic Regal building in Connaught Place, this 23rd and the latest addition to the series of Madame Tussauds attractions all over the world, opens today, and is one of the most exciting attractions the city has to offer.
Wax statues are quite tricky, with the potential of everything going so wrong. Recently, Lady Gaga's wax statue, that looked like something straight out of our worst nightmare, went viral because of the disaster it was.

Or, remember when Aamir Khan's statue was butchered like this.
Why, just why? How did anyone think that looks like Shah Rukh Khan?
Who approved this stuff?
But, we got lucky, and thank god for that. It seems like extra attention was paid to all of the 50 statues unveiled at the Madame Tussauds in Delhi, and thankfully all of them actually look hyper realistic, like how it's supposed to be.

It's like Salman Khan is right there, waiting to give rides to everyone.

Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev look so realistic, it feels like they're having an actual friendly match for the audience to enjoy.

Way too realistic, it's incredible.

Wait, is that actually Richard Gere greeting everyone?

Mitron, this is how you do justice to a wax statue.

When they look so real, you have to touch them to believe it.

Along with doing justice to all the celebrities, the Delhi edition has also been designed and altered specifically for the Indian audience. Staying true to the country, about 60 per cent of the wax models are of Indians, and in order to make this experience available for everyone, the ticket priced in India is one-third the charge elsewhere.

Moreover, it's not just a visual experience, there are a lot of interactive stations as well, where people can find out more about the statues and even play some fun games. Like, along with seeing Milkha Singh's wax model, people also have the option to play hockey or practice some shots and it'll feel like as if you were there on the field with him. Similarly, along with Marilyn Monroe's wax statue, the museum will also provide wigs matching her hair for people to try on.

And, that's not it! To make it even more exciting, and provide people with souvenirs, there will also be a special section where people can get personalised hand sculptures done.
Well, seems like our weekend plans are sorted then. See you at Madame Tussauds.
