For our #30Days30Beards feature, we sat down with the model-turned-actor to talk all things beard, grooming products, and women.

Do you think beards are overrated? 

Yeah, I think it's kinda overrated. Like some people take it way too seriously. 

Growing a beard has changed your life: True or False?

True. People usually tend to take me (more) seriously when I sport a beard.

What made you grow it in the first place?

Puberty...obviously! 

Do women dig the beard or clean-shaven men?

Depends on the girl, it's like beaches or mountains.

“Daadi”

Razor or trimmer? And how often...

Trimmer. Every 2 days 

Beards need care. What's your regime like?

I usually don't do anything for my beard. I'm just blessed with good hair growth — all thanks to my Punjabi genes and the fact that we are naturally hairy. (laughs)

Ever tried beard oils, shampoos, conditioners etc? 

Not into it! 

Your best and worst beard phase?

I don't have bad phases (LOL). It's just my 'I-am-prepping-for-a-role-hence-I-haven't-shaved' look.

Phillips, always.

According to you, the most iconic celebrity beard in the world?

Has to be Mr. Beckham. 

What's your next big beard move?

Unfortunately, I am getting rid of it. My next character's look is clean shaven.
