Bill Gates Says That People With These 3 Skills Will Rule The Future Job Market

Bill Gates, one of the richest people in the world and whevever he says something, the entire world listens. The founder of the Microsoft Corporation made personal computing a household thing and changed the world forever. He did not invent it but he definitely knows how to sell it.Β

He read books on technology, economics, wars, civilization and evolution which has given him an edge on what a future world look like, who will run it and who will be replaced.Β

His frequent work with inventors and industry experts have brought him to the conclusion that people with three backgrounds will be the most in-demand from here on out: science, engineering, and economics.Β

Gates said so to the LinkedIn Executive Editor Daniel Roth in a 2016 interview explaining, "I do think of basic knowledge of the sciences, math skills, economics β€” a lot of careers in the future will be very demanding on those things. They will be the agents of change for all institutions.”

Gates further adds, β€œIt's not necessary that you'll be writing code, but you need to understand what can engineers do and what can they not do," the Microsoft co-founder says. They'll likely be revolutionizing your industry.”

This statement from Bill Gates though contradicts what the billionaire investor Mark Cuban recently had to say on the future of job market.Β

In an interview with Bloomberg, Cuban said, β€œDon't go to school for finance as liberal arts is the future”

He further explained, β€œNo finance. That's the easiest thing - you just take the data have it spit out whatever you need. I personally think there's going to be a greater demand in 10 years for liberal arts majors than there were for programming majors and maybe even engineering, because when the data is all being spit out for you, options are being spit out for you, you need a different perspective in order to have a different view of the data. And so having someone who is more of a freer thinker.”

So, the question is what excites you more? Philosophy or Engineering? Who will you listen to build a secure future?
