As I try to articulate my thoughts over a post I just saw on my Newsfeed that left me feeling so, so hollow, I fall short of words. I’m caught up between expressing how heart-wrenching it is and staying silent, because no matter what I say, I really wouldn’t know what life is like for Drake Medinger. Drake Medinger, a 10-year-old boy who’s afraid he may not live to see his 11th birthday. Drake Medinger, a story that may never find its happy ending. His mother shared what his life is like these days and just reading it shattered something inside me.

The internet is collectively sending wishes, hugs and a lot of love to Drake Medinger for being the fighter that he is. ‘Love What Matters’ got in touch with his mother and posted his address so Drake can wake up to gifts every day.
