Retiring for the fifth time in the last seven years, Shahid Afridi finally seems to have left cricket for good or so it seems as of now.
On his retirement from international cricket, various cricketers around the world wished him the best for his future endeavours. One amongst those was former Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya who tweeted this:
I like to wish @SAfridiOfficial all the best for the future. Thank you for the memories. You helped change the game!
β Sanath Jayasuriya (@sanath07) February 21, 2017And Afridi being Afridi, tweeted a stupid reply to Jayasuriya which read something like this:
Thanks @sanath07 . I only ended wat u began? https://t.co/QejvSQj3BP
β Shahid Afridi (@SAfridiOfficial) February 21, 2017Now, we donβt know what Afridi means when he says that he βendedβ what Jayasuriya began but if heβs talking about power hitting then players like Maxwell, De Villiers, Corey Anderson and Carlos Brathwaite are surely light years ahead of Afridi.
